1. If I were oing to just rate myself off I would have to put myself somewhere on the scale it would have to be about a 5. I'm not really upset, but at the same token I'm not really what you would call happy either. I'm kind of emotionally dead inside, which is just kinda the way I am alot of the time. Maybe that's why I have so few friends. Anyway, self examination makes me depressed, so I'm gonna stop now and call the suicide hotline.
2. I enjoy a wide variety, from light hearted comedies, to the deep and meaningful stories. I suppose two good examples would be FMP: FUMOFUU and the legendary Neon Genesis Evangelion. By far, eva is one of my favorite series of all time.
3. I live in the sunshine state and I love the beach. For me the beach is a way of life. I fish, surf, snorkel, scuba, parasail, just about anything that is and can be done at the beach. I practically live on water. It baffels me how anyone can hate the beach, but I do know an awful lot of people do. Even my own mother hates the beach. Perhaps my greatest passion is fishing, and no I'm not a total redneck. I know is basically man trying to out smart a fish, but I find it calming and enjoyable. And the best part, I've spent so much of my life out at the beach that my skin has gotten so dark that I almost never burn anymore. Seriously, I can spend 8-9 hours at the beach with no shirt and waist deep in water and never burn. How can you beat that?
4. I like to follow through on the american stereotype and always keep myslef armed. I usually carry my pocket knife on me, but I've been known to also carry my 9mm pistol from time to time as well. I enjoy the feeling of securtiy since I don't live in the safest part of town. When you live in a neighborhood known for muggers, rapists, and pedophiles your going to want to be able to protect yourself at a moments notice.
5. Name: Micheal "Mike" Calahan Codename: Frost Bite Age: 23 Appearance: Mike. He stands at about 5'9 and weights 145 lbs. The image is of him in uniform. Personality: Overall, a little eccentric. He has rather odd behaviors and seems almost completely oblivious to them. This quality seems to draw to him alot of attention, but at the same time he kinda gets over looked quite a bit. He's never had anyone ask him waht he was doing or why, they just look at him a bit and move on. Despite his quirks though, he does mean well and enjoys helping others most of the time. He loves to talk about almost anything but himself. When asked a personal question he'll begin to fidget and then quickly start rambling off on some irrelevant topic. Weapons: The pair of hand guns seen in the pic, as well as a combat knife. Power: Ice. He has the ablity to create and manipulate ice crystals.
6. Name: Soma Arumaru Age: 24 Gender: Male Rank: Jounin Important items: He wears metal gauntlets on his arms. The right, gold colored, the left, silver. They're both clawed, which what he uses them as, metal claws. He uses them for slicing and tearing. The right he calls Lightning, the left Thunder. Appearance: Soma. He's about 5'10 and weighs 145 lbs. Despite the fact that his eye appears damaged, he insists he can see perfectly well out of it. Personality: Quiet, seemingly innocent, and a bit reclusive. He's kinda private and tends to keep to himself for the most part. He only really interacts with the others in his cell, or whom ever he might be sent on a mission with. He's nice enough, but people seem to think poor of him due to the many numerous scars all over his body. He's veiwed by most as an outsider and many have a rather poor opinion of him. It's completely unfounded, but you'd never convince them otherwise. Despite this, he actually likes the leaf village and enjoys his work with them. He tends to seem pretty stoic most of the time, but he is in fact just as emotional as anyone else. History: He remembers little beyond 4 years ago. He was found bleeding and barely alive on the far edges of the hidden leaf territory. His wounds were of mixed variety. Some appeared to be from blades, while others looked like animal bites and even flesh tears. All that anyone could tell was that something horrible had been done to him. Unfortunatly some of his scars never healed well, so some are still rather nasty looking. His skill as a shinobi became apparent only days after his recovery. For some reason that even he doesn't fully understand, he was able to perform advance level jutsu with little effort. Many believed him to be a spy from another village in another land, but after much interrogation and probing they came to the decision that he was being honest. He really couldn't remember what happend to him, or where he was from. It was more then a little obvious that he was well suited to become a shinobi of the village. The Hokage insisted that he go threw the full cycle like any other ninja. He flew through both the academy and the chunin exams in his first two years. Then earlier this year he was promoted to the rank of jounin for his exceptional skill and loyalty for his new home land Special jutsu: He specializes in lightning and water Jutsu. TaiJutsu: Spiral wind style: Using fast movements, matched with almost constant circular movements he is able to disrupt the air flow around his opponent, making it difficult for his opponents to breath, some even claim it can draw the breath right out of an opponents body. The subtle and rapid movements make it hard to read and near impossible to mimic to someone who lacks training. However, due to it's very nature, it is very exhausting to use so Soma often leans more toward his ninjutsu. The style is unique to Soma, yet another skill that he naturally seems to have. NinJutsu: Lightning flash jutsu: This is a powerful, and amazingly quick attack. It requires lots of chakra focused into both the hands and feet. Both are released at the same time to create and almost instantaneous strike. Water fang Jutsu: This conjures, what appear to be, large, ravenous wolves, that strike and ravage the target, using shear water pressure to rip the target apart. Needle Vortex Jutsu: Using tiny droplets of water,(Morning dew is quite useful) he can conjure tiny ice crystals and then force them into a powerful whirl wind force that sends them ripping and shredding through the air at any target within 20 meter radius. Thunder Shock Jutsu: By clapping his hands together and releasing a powerful electrical charge, he is able to create a powerful shockwave of sound. Shadow Clone Jutsu: He has limited skills with clones so at best he can conjure 5 for actual combat purposes. GenJutsu: White flash Mind Trap: This technique uses a series of lightning flashes and quick movement to disrupt his opponents vision and equilibrium, causing even skilled shinobi to make foolish mistakes. Nightmare Storm: Creates the illusion of powerful storm, complete with gail force winds and heavy rains. This not only effects his opponents morale, but also there very perception of the battle field. Summoning Jutsu: Summoning-sky lord jutsu: This summons from the sky a massive eagle. It has a wing span of 40 feet and from beak to tail 25 feet. It has golden feathers, crystal blue eyes, crimson red beak, black feet and silver talons. It's wings trinkle water as it flies and can generate everything from a light shower to a powerful hail. It's cries sound like thunder and it's talons rain lightning.

8. This is the story of a simple little port town. There is endless water on the south east and west sides, and a seemingly endless forest to the north, all drenched in a thick fog. Where is this town? It's hard to say. Ask those who live there and they'll tell you they don't remember how they got here, or even when. But despite this they seem content on there lives. In this town there are oblivious to the rest of the world. It's as if nothing exists beyond the town and the stories of war, violence, corruption, and destruction on the outside are nothing more then just that, stories. This town has no police, no hospitals and no established government, but everything seems to run so smoothly. People neither die, nor are born here. They simply disappear without a trace, and just as suddenly replaced by a new face, without a single question. It's almost like paradise. But something seems hollow about it. No one can seem to shake that feeling. No one makes them do what they do, or even stay in this little town, but the people feel bound to it. Like a baby whose umbilical cord has yet to be cut. Like there drawing something from the very town itself. Everyone here remembers where they lived before and what they were doing up until there very first memories of this town. Then everything around there time coming here is little more then a haze. It's as if the fog around the town itself has infected there minds. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My name is Alex Miles, I just a simple carpenter. Our story begins, as many due, with an average meeting between two friends. I was sitting in old Antonio?s tavern, where I met with my old pal Kyle almost everyday for as long as I could remember, which is quite a while. I had lost count of the years now. I sat on the same bar stool I had been sitting at all these years, sipping at the same dull brand of beer I got every day, watching whatever boring sports game, news telecast, or lame sitcom happened to be on the TV. It was just the way things were. It hadn't gotten me killed and I was able to work and live simply. Why mess with a working system, right? But today something was different. I sat at that same bar stoll for hours. Till the bar closed, but Kyle never came. I was only mildly disappointed at the time, but that was all. I didn't give it much more thought and simply returned home. However when the next day came I found that not only did Kyle never arrive, but that his bar stool had been filled by an unfamiliar face. In all my time in this place I had seen many faces come and go. As well as many new ones arrive, but for some reason this disturbed me. Who was this new person? Why was she in Kyle?s' bar stool? I was filled with not only confusion, but also a sense of outrage. 'Who gave her the right to take his place!' I thought. I was more then ready to cause a scene in the sleepy little tavern, but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to act on it. I simply sat in silence to the bar closed once more and returned home yet again. When I woke the next morning I still felt both anger and confusion. I couldn't bring myself to go to work that day. Instead I went to the sea front on the west side of town and looked out into the void of white created by the fog. All I wanted was my friend back. I wanted by normality back. It was as if I expected the water to just spit him out. It was at this time that I remembered something Kyle had said once while they were doing this together many countless years ago. They were standing just like this, maybe even at this same spot and Kyle said "I think I'll leave this place some day." Turned to him a bit confused by the statement "What do you mean 'leave'?" The idea of leaving had never even accured to me before. He may as had said "I'm going to live with wolves!" Kyle just smiled "I think this place will eventually throw me out once I know where I'm going and what I want." I Simply turned my head and asked "Are you drunk or something?" We both then proceeded to laugh at the whole experience and simply returned to life as normal the very next day. 'But why did I remember this just now?' I thought. And what did Kyle mean by it? He made it sound as though we were simply passing through. Like this place was just a rest point in the midst of a greater journey, or maybe just a transition in life. Whatever it was I didn't like it anymore. I didn't like the idea of just going with the flow anymore. Maybe it was born from the void itself, but the idea of leaving leaped into my head. I wasn't going to wait to just disappear like Kyle. I was going to leave on my terms and that?s exactly what I want. But I couldn't do it alone. I couldn't brave the great waters or even the endless forest on nothing but a dream. Was this all I could do, dream. Simply wish I was able. No, there had to be others. Others who wanted to take back there lives from this town. Take back the truth and go forth to a world they weren't even sure existed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- You now have a story to work with. We'll be venturing into an unknown world where anything is possible, so let your imagination guide you on this one. Your character can be from anywhere and anytime in the last hundred years (trying to not get to far out of hand). Remember, No cops and the closest thing to a doctor here is a pharmacist. Since there are no cops, there is also no serious crimes here, so gang members either. The worst you get are pick pockets. Remember, this place is suppose to be like a seudo utopia. Sign Up: Name: Again, you can be of any origin or nationality you choose. Gender: Age: Whatever age your character recalls before coming to the town. Appearance: Again, any age or nationality is acceptable, whether it be a child or a senior citizen, but be prepared to take any limitations a character of young or advanced age will face.[ both pics and descriptions are acceptable] Personality: Bio: You can talk about your characters life up until they arrived in the town. Remember though, don't know how or why they came, they were just kinda there one day. But this is a modern time frame it's set in, this isn't set in the past, though your characters maybe from the early 1900's. My Sign Up: Name: Alex Miles Gender: Male Age: 23 Appearance:Alex. He's about 5'9 and weights in at about 155 lbs. His appearance is often scraggily at best. He neglects to shave fairly regularly. It's a small miracle he remembers to wash himself daily. If it looks like he's slept in his clothes, it's probably because he has. Despite this, he does work rather hard so his hands are thick and calous and he actually his pretty fit, but most people have a hard seeing that beyond his rather raggity appearance. Personality: A simple man. Care free and happy. He enjoys routine and not having to worry about anything. Most would just call him lazy. Despite the fact of being a carpenter, he hates working with his hands. He loves to play chess and other games of strategy. He'd rather think than do, but it's not impossible to drive him to action. Bio: Alex can't remember when he was born, but he does remember what kind of place it was. He remembers long golden fields of wheat for what seemed like miles. He remembers him, his mother, and three sisters working the fields all the time. His father had left. He said he was going to go be a hero and protect the innocent like Superman. This made Alex feel very proud to know his father was doing something so great. Alot of the children at his school also had there fathers going off to fight the "Great Evil". Even though he was only a child at the time, the youngest in his family, he still felt as though he should step forward and be the man with his father gone. He had a big name to live up to. To bad he was to lazy to do it. He spent most of his time ducking out of work and hiding away in the barn to read his comics in peace. One day when Alex was 10 a man in a green suit came to the door. He had a funny looking hat on and a lot of colorful ribbons on his chest. He had a letter in his hand and asked if he could see Alex's mother. He looked a bit sad. Alex ran to the kitchen to get his mother who was still cleaning up from breakfast. Alex took her by the hand and lead her to the door. As soon as she saw the man standing on the other side of the screen door, she fell to her knees and began crying. The man then set the letter just in front of the door and left without a further word. He looked as if he might start crying to. Later that day Alex found out why they were crying. A week later he watched as more men dressed in green carried the large box that held his father. Everything else of his childhood seemed as though a haze, but that was one memory he couldn't shake. Those men in green. When Alex was 20 his mother passed away from cancer. He and his sisters still lived and worked on the farm that belonged to their family. It was a simple life, but it felt like he was suppose to be there. But he couldn't help but dream about the worlds he had seen in those comic books he read as a child. Then one day he just woke up in an unfamiliar bed, in a town he had never known.
9. The enemy seemed to be withdrawing. Alex let out a deep sigh and then a little snicker. His arms and legs were starting to feel numb. He set his hand on Sly's console "Who you hangin there?" Sly made a dull grunt. Alex smiled "Sounds like you'll live if you can still complain." Alex reached just behind the seat drew tow cable out so he could lower himself out of the cockpit. Once he was ouside he sat down on the cold, hard, torn earth beneath him and just started looking over his old partner. There was an awful lot of damage to the legs and left side of the head, but it didn't seem like anything lethal. Alex smirked and then started to look out toward where the others were. He first noticed Clair and her LS, who were near by, were much more worse off then he and Sly were. Her zoid wasn't moving and he was surprised she still was with that metal splinter in her ribs. Alex felt as though he should go over to her, but he couldn't manage himself to his legs. His and were starting lose there color. His face and arms were starting to turn pale. He was kinda short on breath. He hand no idea what to make of the situation. Most everyone seemed to be beaten, but well enough. The only one whos survival seemed in question was Clairs' zoid. Alex could hear the voices of other moving about. He was hoing it was the support team coming to pick up him and Sly. Even more so now, Alex felt like taking a good long nap. It felt like he had been up for days. He was even starting to feel kinda naseaus. He coughed up a bit more blood, then slowly went to lay down. He looked up toward the sky and started to close his eyes. He wished he had a blanket or something because it was starting to get real cold out.
10. As time moves forward and technology becomes more advanced, so does the battlefields of the era. In these endless struggles were born the new soldiers of tomorrow. Androids. The year is 2112. The military developed it's first corp of full automated combat androids, commonly known as Shields, almost 50 years ago. Simplistic and purely mission driven. They showed not only greater levels of strength and speed, but far more dedication then could ever be found in a human. They existed purely to accomplish the mission. But, as I said earlier, as time moves on, so must technology and military technology is no exception. After 20 years of being purely for military use, the first Shield unit hit the police force. This however presented issues. The job of police officers was far more sensitive then those of there soilder counterparts. This required them to deal with civilians and be not only reseptive, but understanding of victims. This necessity lead to the addition of the first E system. This allowed them to show, almost frighteningly so, human like emotion. They became able to sympathize in there dealings with the victims of crime, as well as learn limits in dealing with perps. This was veiwed as a major technological advancement and was hailed as the sign of a new era. They had no idea how right they were. As the years continued on the line between humans and Shields began to blur, and many people began to feel that it was wrong to lend this level of intellect to machines. Despite many protests, these highly advanced machines continued being produced, new models always in developement. They were becoming more and more common in dangerous jobs, phasing humans out of the equation slowly. This too met with opposition, but once again, this did little to stop there developement. No matter how human they appeared, people had no problem using and abusing them. They were veiwed by many as simple machines, like microwaves. And were considered just as disposable. No matter how human they could act or even physically appear, they were easy enough to spot. All Shields were manufactured with a mark on the back of there right hands. A mark of a circle with a heart and slash through the middle. The mark of the forbidden heart. Like any good weapon, if you can use it, you can exploit it. Only shortly after they hit the police force, they also joined the terroist organizations of the world. Black market Shields became a new and dangerous threats. To counter this developement, the government formed a new organization dedicated to two seperate goals. One, stopping and preventing Shield related crimes. Two, liberating and protecting exploited Shields. This group was called the Save Shields Company, The S2C. This is the story of this select group charged with protecting humans and shields alike. Protecting them from each other. Sign Up: Name: Race: Human or Sheild Age: Humans Manufactured: Sheilds Gender: Yes, Sheilds also come in gender specific identities, but they lack "Definition". They're not that Human. Appearance: Remember, Sheilds physically appear human. Sheilds also tend to be extremely heavy. Personality: Bio: What brought you to the S2C. Is it personal or is it simply the desire to serve. My Sign Up: Name: Richard "Ricky" Krisen Race: Sheild Manufactured: May 15, 2099 Gender: Male Appearance: Richard. He's about 5'9 and weights 350 lbs. Personality: He's bit simple minded. He tends to act without thinking, but this also tend to make him fearless. He's proud of what he is and doesn't hide it. While he is charged to protect humans the same as his fellow sheilds, he has quite a distaste for them. He has an unshakeable bravado about him. He doesn't back down from anyone, for anyone. He's loyal and trustworthy, just not that reliable. He's painfully honest and far from tactful. Bio: Richard was first produced to serve in the Marine corp as a emergency technician, or in other words a sheild medic. After 3 years he was redeployed with the LAPD, in the US. After 5 years there he joined the then, fledgling S2C. He had no particular reason for joining other then it being another enforcement job. He just enjoys the dangerous jobs like these ones. He had grown bored of protecting humans on the streets, since so many of them hated him just for being a sheild, so it made little difference to him what he was doing. He had no real friends, only comrades. And he liked it that way. People die in his line of work, better to not develope any emotional investments in them. Otherwise you end up all broken up when they finally get killed. That's the way he saw it anyway.
11. Things were getting real intense, real fast. Clair looked like she had been removed for the fight. This was not the way they needed to start this fight. Alex kicked on the stealth system and went to work. He hadn't seen these types of zoids before. They were awfully strong and fierce. There were just so damn many of them. Alex tried to play a quick game and go by without detection, but everytime he unloaded his armor pierecing rounds they could home in on his real quick like. Now he had one of the damn things tailing him. It was all he oculd do to keep himself concealed, let alone go on the offensive. Marri was circleing about in the skies. Alex was doing the best he could to provide support to both the air and ground teams. As he turned his machine gun skyward again to provide them with some support cover he got blind sided. It appeared as though it was completely coincidental, but it definetly wasn't any good. His optic stealth was damaged. So much for the element of surprise. He knew he had to take out the enemy before could get back to his feet. With one quick charge and a strike laser claw to the head, the griffon zoid went down. Sadly this was just one of many still flying about. It was at this point that the pain started setting in. When that damn thing slammed into him Alex must have cracked his ribs. Even the slightest movements were painful at this point. But he had little choice but to keep going. He was doing his best to look out for mis team leader, since she didn't seem to be moving. He could see one of the griffons coming down near her fallen lightning saix. Alex was pretty tore up. He still had radar and sonar invisiblity, but his optics were out. Even having sly walk was painful, but there was no way he could stop now. It felt like the world around him was melting away. He couldn't hear anything, he could only see her and the griffon. He slammed down on the gas and charged full on. He wanted to take him out quick, so he moved in with the strike lazer claw, but fate wasn't that kind. The damn thing heard him and managed to manuver clear before it broad sided him. As he hit the ground Alex kicked in his smoke screen and took cover. The beast started using it's wings to clear the smoke but what little good it did it. Alex and Sly jumped in and took a mighty bite out of this beasts neck, sending it tumbling to the ground. Alex felt pretty proud of himself. He had taken a beating, but even without his stealth systems he managed to take down this big mother. It was while he was giving himself a pa on the back that he felt something warm in his mouth. He started coughing and soon realized that it was blood in his mouth. When he got hit that second time it must have jarred one of his broken ribs into his lungs. This was getting ugly. Once again he was forced to realize just how much it hurt. Sly wasn't doing much better. There was damage to the joints on both the left side legs and tha armor around the cockpit and lef side were badly damaged. Sly's right paw was also damaged. The strike lazer claw combined with such heavy enemies was taking it's toll. All Alex could think to do was turn his machine gun sky ward and try to keep the enemies at bay for as long as he could. He wasn't sure how much longer he had til he would finally lose consciousness like Clair, but he'd be damned if he didn't go out without a fight. Even in these dire straights he still found it in himself to slap on another one of his famous smirks and even snicker a bit.
12. Alex looked to Haze "I can't help it. This military stuff is boring. I wanna have some fun." Haze glanced over "You don't have to be an ass to do that." Alex just smirked "Aw, come on. Your starting to make me sound like I'm the big bully around here. I get the impression you don't like me much, do you?" Haze didn't even respond to him that time. Alex just snickerd to himself "That's okay. I think your funny. And your sister, too. You guys are one fun family." He says smiling and laughing the whole way. Haze never did respond to him, but that didn't matter much to Alex. This guy seemed pretty straight laced. That just meant he was fun to play with. It's those type that always give the best reactions. Alex right on snickering the whole time. Whenever someone would look back to him, he would simply smile and wave. Clair said something about there first exercise. More than anything he wanted to see what Hazes' Liger could do. Plus him and Sly hadn't had a good battle in a very long time. Despite how crowded the transport was, there weren't many people actually there. Most seemed fairly typical and boring, but there were always those like Clair, Haze, and Marri that had made his long trip out here worth the while.
13. Alex really had no interest in listening to the old men talk some more. It's practically all they did. But hell, that's war ain't it. Old people talking and young people dieing. All he was interested in was hearing about the team captains and what group he would probably be with. He imagined he would be with the ground unit, what with his shadow fox and all. He wasn't sure who this weathers girl was, until he saw that girl, Clair, from earlier step up. He also wasn't familiar with this Vincent person either. Clair had the ground unit, so that probably meant he would be taking orders from her. He was homestly kinda excited about that. This meant he could play a bit more with this girl. Sly kneeled down and let out a low whine "I know, isn't it great?" Then Sly made a noise that sounded oddly like Alexs' snicker "I see you have a thing for her Lightning Saix, do you." Alex took one more look around to all the pilots, with all there zoids and all there pilots and he snickerd again. Marri happend to looka back at him and he gave one of his smirks to her. This causing her to blush and turn away again, leaving Alex uttering to himself "She's gonna be great!" Clair came to him "Alex." He turned his head from Marri to look to his new 'commadant'. He smiled and gave a bow "Yes, m'lady." He enjoyed being a smart ass. She just sighed "Can you at least pretend to pay attention?" Alex stood up straight and looked right at her "But that would be like lying. And lying is wrong!" He acted all huffy as he said it, but quickly lost his composure and started snickering again. Clair just sighed and continued on, Alex, again, coming in and out of the lecture at his whim.
14. Alex had only been asleep a short while before he awoke to a thud. He sat up from his bed and looked over to his right to see Marri wrapped up in her blanket on the floor. At first he thought she was messing with him. He heard her come back, but what was she doing on the floor. She looked as though the fall hadn't even disturbed her. He then seemed to forget about sleeping and just began to stare at her as she lay on the floor. All he could think was how interesting this girl seemed to keep getting. He snickerd to himself again. The way she had herslef set out almost seemed like she was teasing him, or trying to hit on him possibly. That's why he thought it was some game she was playing with him. This thought made him snicker again. He finally got up from his bed and made his way to the bathroom. He took some water in his hands and splashed it on his face. It was still only 1 O'clock. He could easily sleep for two more hours before the... whatever thing. But for some reason now he was just too distracted. He then proceeded to return to his bedside and look down upon his still sleeping roomate. Every few minutes she would roll about a bit, then settle for a few minutes, then continue to roll about. All Alex could think was "I bet she's having a fun dream." This girl was as funny as they come. The idea of having a partner in her didn't seem quite as bad as he thought it would be at first. He could hear the zoids at the habitat off in the distance. This was definitly a good place. But for some reason all this peace gave ihm a strange sinking feeling. Like this was just a facade for something big on the horizon. Alex soon realized that this was the first serious thought he had had since he got here. And maybe in the last month. He got up and went to the window. He just didn't feel right. Like someone had there had on his back. Til he realized it was someones hand on his back.
15. I can understand that feeling. Like everything is just coming down around you. The best thing you can do is take it in stride and give it all you got. You can't let it get to you, cause as soon as it does is when your gonna start feeling trapped in. I had some issues with school too, and I let it get to me. And trust me, once it gets under your skin, it burrows real deep. It got real bad for me. I even tried to kill myself at one point. Thankfully I survived that ordeal. The point is to always look for your way out. Always know that if one things doesn't work, then there's another way, then another and another. Never corner yourself and give yourself only one option. Sometimes you have to compromise, but as long as you stay consistent in your eventual goal, it'll work for you. Just never give up on your dream. I didn't, and look at me now. I'm doing good, looking good, feeling good, working a job I enjoy. Never lose that hope for a better tomorrow.
16. This new girl was another weird one. Alex was still a bit worried about Sly, but was more interested in this new girl, Clair. Alex just kept right on following her, like he hadn't a thought in his head "You know I wasn't trying to insult your bro or anything. He's just a new guy. Well, new to me anyway." She looked back to Alex "I see. So why are you folowing me again?" Alex flashed his now trademark smirk "I find you interesting." Clair smiled back to him "Is that good or bad?" "Depends?" "Depends on what?" Alex snickerd a bit "You'll find out eventually. Til then, lets enjoy the moment." The two continued there way back til they both met up with the other two, who were still waiting for them. The new guy, Haze stepped forward "So what happend?" Clair smiled "They were just playing." Her and Haze began to trail of into there own conversation again. It was at this time that Alex decided to slink away. He was suddenly feeling a bit lathargic and decided a nap sounded good. As he was trying to sneak off Marri called to him "Hey, Alex." Alex cringed a bit. He was really hoping to just pop smoke without them noticing. So much for that plan "Yes, m'lady." He replied in a melodramatic british accent and giving a bow. This, like most of what he did, seemed to little to amuse her "Don't forget when you need to be back." Alex just smiled at her again "4 O'clock, right? Don't even sweat it, I'm great with schedules." She had a look about her that seemed doutful. But Alex didn't let that slow him down. He kept right on his way. There was only a few more hours to go and he wanted to rest up. Things were already starting to look promising. So many interesting zoids and people. This was gonna be fun.
17. Name: Tommy Gavin Power: His bodies nerves generate heightend electrical current. Personality and description: Tommy is a generally carefree guy. And when I say carefree I don't mean he just takes things in stride, and is simply content and happy. I mean he quite literally doesn't care about anyone or anything. He's a street wise loner, who knows the ins and outs of the under belly of society. He thinks if society hates people like him fine, ******* them too. If they'll hate him, then he'll just hate them back. Thanks to his powers, he's had an easy time making it as a loner in world that demands alot from him. While there not that strong, he can still deliver a 10000 volt charge at 30 miliamps of current. Enough to drop any punk human who thinks he's worth his salt. Standing at 5'9 and weighting in at a 135 lbs. He's a pretty scraggly looking kid. He wears sleeveless t-shirts and blue jeans for the most part. He has red hair, to which he dyes black stripes. This is where his nickname of the east side tiger came from. He doesn't have a gang, and very few, what you would call, friends. He works for himself.
18. This was yet another interesting turn for Alex. This only marked his second time seeing a Meugen Liger up close. And he seemed like he was a bit touchy. Sly knelt down and let Alex hop out of the cockpit. Marri and this new guy were already standing on the ground. Sly made a grunt and Alex looked up "Uh, what is it?" Another whine from Sly "If you wanna go, go right ahead." Yet another whine "I'm not sure. Give me a second. Hey, when's 1600?" Marri and the new guy seemed a bit confused "It's 4 O'clock. You mean you didn't know that!?" Alex Looked back to Sly, not responding to Marri in the least "She says it's 4 O'clock." And with on last nod, Sly turned and ran off into the enclosure. Marri spoke up again, sounding a bit irritated at him still "Why did you come out here anyway?" Alex turned to her "What do you mean? I'm here for the same reason you are." Marri now seemed even more irritated "Do you even know what that is?" Alex just kept right on smiling "Something about the safety of mankind, right? Sorry, I have a pretty short attention span. That's all I really caught off of that old mans speach." Marri gave a grunt, then a sigh "Who was it who recruited you for this anyway?" Alex looked up a bit with an expression of thought on his face "Commander.... Something or other. I probably should have paid better attention to what he had to say. Anyway, I'm tired, so I think I'll head back and rest up a bit before the next meeting. At 4 right. Later." As he was leaving Alex realized that the new guy was still standing there staring at them and seemed a bit confused. Alex walked over to him "Oh, sorry newbie. Where did my manners go." Alex put his hand on his shoulder "My name's Alex. So what's yours newbie?"
19. Alex was well in route to the zoid habitat. His partner, Marri, had gone far ahead of his by air. She knew she sould fly faster then he could run, and it seemed to him like she was just showing off that she could. But rather than irratated, he suddenly began to feel devilish again. He decided to engage the stealth gear and went totally under. He was gonna get the jump on her. He may not have enough speed to catch her, but he could sneak up on her without detection. Even Sly started to snicker at the idea. As he began to approach the habitat, sure enough, there she was, playing around with her zoid. This was almost too perfect. Not wanting to blow his chance, he slowed down to a stalking pace and krept carefully toward her. She was jumping between the land and sky. Suddenly, she stopped for a moment. This was his chance. Like a lion, he pounced out, dropping his optic camouflage. Her Orudios reared up, and he could hear her scream over the radio. Alex took this chance to laugh hysterically. Again, even Sly howled at this. Marri however, was less then amused once again "What the hell is your problem!" Alex, still laughing "Come on, it was funny." Alex could still hear her grunting with irritation over the radio. This did subside slowly though. She finally spoke back up "I'd never seen a Shadow Fox in action before. They really can go invisible." Alex snickerd again, this time with a sense of pride "Not only to the eyes, but it doesn't show up on radar or sonar either. My friend here is almost impossible to find. Unless Sly wants to be found of course."
20. Unfortunatly, I'm broke at the moment, so I'm waiting til the end of next week to buy it, but my next hit on my to buy list is the Last Exile box set. I'm also looking into Air Gear, Ergo Proxy, and of course the next volume of Bleach when it hits the stores.
21. Alex had finally returned from his romp around the planet with Sly and started to move his luggage to his room. It was strange how a long day of nothing but traveling can really wipe you out. He figured he'd go in and have a quick nap before some other stupid thing came up. This whole event was kinda starting to turn into a bother. He noticed by the other rooms that the pairing was largely mixed. Were they doing this on purpose? How unorthodox of them. When he finally arrived at his room he opend the door to see a young blonde woman packing her things away into a dresser that had been provided. She quickly looked up to Alex as he came through the door. She seemed a bit embarassed by something. She must have been putting something kinda personal away. Alex got a long smile across his face. The girl looked less then amused "What's so funny?" Alex kinda felt like teaing her a bit, but decided it better not to harass his new roomate just yet. If this was gonna take awhile he didn't need to be sleeping next to an enemy. Without saying anything, and still grinning all the way, he made his way to the open bed and started unpacking his own things. Unlike her, he had no problems just flaunting out his underwear and casually put it away. It was somewhere around the time he finished that they first recieved the call to move down to the main lobby. Aparently there was some kind of meeting going on. He had barely shared words with his new roomate so he decided now would be as good a time as any "Alright, let's get go there, uh...." She looked up to him, still less then amused "It's Marri. And your name, please" Alex smiled again. There was something about her demeanor that he found very amusing "They call me Alex." With that said, she walked right past him and made her way down to the main lobby. Alex following like a lost puppy. When they finally reached the lobby there was already a small group assembled. After a short time, the old man incharge went over a few details that Alex had little interest in and ingnored much of. Then finally he gave the finally word and let them be on there way. There was suppose to be some kind of training thing going on at 1600, when ever that is. Alex was holding out hope that Marri at least had an idea. Each pilot left in a pair, assumably there partner and roomate. As such Alex and Marri made there way off together, though once again, few words were shared between the two. Something about her jus brought out the little devil in him, as he began to give his devilish smirk again. This seemed as though it was begining to irritate her. They made there way back out to there zoids and started moving them to the habitat that had been provided for them. Sly was more then just a little eager to get out again. This was probably the most sitting around Sly had ever done. Sly wasn't enjoying it much either. He saw Marri climb into the cockpit of a rather intimidatingly large Orudios. It was quite a sight to behold. Alex spoke out to her over the intercom, as Sly simply stared on "He's big fella there, isnt' he."
22. Alex stood by the way side while the crewmen took the restraints off of Sly. As soon as they were off, Sly proceeded to stretch and shack himself off a bit. Alex simply looked up to him "Enjoying your freedom? Give me a minute to find out where it is were suppose to be going. You stay here til then." Alex approached a few of the crewmen who had just released Sly "You guys wouldn't happen to know what we do from here, would you?" One of them, an older man with graying hair and a goatee of similar color, turned to him "From what I've been told, your suppose to take your zoids to some dome out on the surface. It's about a mile from here so it shouldn't take long to get there. From there you'll be paired off with another pilot and sent to your rooms." Alex nodded to the old man then turned and looked to the other pilots who were still about the hangar. All he could think about was who he was about to get pinned with. He looked back to the old man "You wouldn't happen to know who my partnet is, would you." The old shook his head "Sorry, I just work in the hangar. Ask someone else." With that the old man left and continued about releasing the other zoids. Alex didn't care to share space with someone else, but it was part of the deal. He'd just have to bare with it. Alex then walked back over to Sly and waved him to lower his head. Alex took his place in the pilots seat and started to move him out of the hangar. He layed his right hand on the dashboard "What do you say to quick little run around on this rock?" Sly made a low rumble. Alex smiled "I knew you'd like that idea. Let's roll out." And with that said He and sly quickly took off out into the dark night of space. Alex was wired. He knew this was gonna be a hell of thing.

Equipment: Smoke Dischargers (6), Stealth System, Optical Camouflage, Anchors (4), 3D Radar and Multi-Ear Sensors (2). Post: Alex was sitting quietly in Slys cockpit. He was simply enjoying the ride. This woud be his frist time in space so he was enjoying his trip into the final frontier. Sly on the other hand wasn't quite so patient. He was starting to get ansy in the bay aboard the transport ship. There were so many other zoids on board, not to mention the fact that old Sly didn't like being restrained like this. Small spaces didn't suit him at all. Alex just kept patting the dashboard "I know, I know. Just hang in there. We'll be there soon." Sly let out a low moan. Alex responded "Come on, it's only been a few hours. Your not gonna die! Besides, once we get there, I doubt you'll know what to do with yourself." Sly grunted on more time and then went silent again. Alex folded his arms behind his head and laid the seat back. In the bay were a wide aray of different zoids and there pilots. He still wasn't too sure of the specifics, but this was suppose to be a big deal. He was kinda wishing he had paid closer attention to what that old man was saying. He knew it had something to do with the fate of the planet or some nonsense like that. Alex really cared little for any of it. He was just hoping for a good time. And his partner was anxious for the same.
24. Soma sat next to him on the roof of the academy "I didn't expect it, but it was worth asking. I can never tell with you half the time." Siniku made one of his trademark snickers "So, what of the Genin?" "Let me hear it. I could use all the help I can get." Siniku took a deep breath and released it in yet another snicker "It looks like were going to have some real talent with us this year. Just try and remember what you learned in your jounin leadership training." Soma looked to him "Gee, thanks." Siniku snickerd "You shouldn't worry about it. You've worked quite a few missions, so I think your ready. Just don't flip out if the new genin screw up." Soma laughed this time "Sure, whatever." He looked down below and noticed a number of genin starting to arrive, as well as some chunin and other jounin. Soma got to his feet "I better get going. I'll be seeing you later Siniku." With that, Soma jumped from the roof and to the front gate below and made his way to the class room assembly.
25. Soma awoke with a thud. He had fallen asleep in a tree again and had managed to roll out, again. He slowly returned to his feet and looked out into the early morning forest. The mist was still low to the ground and the air was still cool. This was the best time of day as far as Soma was concerned. He quickly made his way back to the gate and prepared to head in. He needed to eat and wash up quickly this morning. There was a graduation at the academy just the other day. Which meant a new stream of rookie genin coming in as well. Soma had only recently been given the rank of jounin and was very excited. This would be the first batch of genin since his promotion. Maybe some would he assigned to him. As he reached the gate he was kinda relieved to see he wasn't the only one who had been out late, or maybe just out early. He saw another shinobi of the village just re entering the village as well. He didn't recognize him, but it was possible he had simply never worked with him before. There were still many of his fellow ninja he knew little about. He quickly went through the gate and straight to his house. He dawned his gear and made a bee line for the academy. He wanted to get there early. He knew that old Siniku would be on the roof of the academy as usual, if he got there in time. He had to talk to him about a few things. He was a veteran compared to Soma so he wanted to get his advice on leading a cell. More over, Siniku, aka Snikerfox, was always good for information and he wanted to see if maybe he hadn't turned something up on his own case. It had been four years and he still had no clue about his own identity. It was so early but the village was already so lively. As he ran through the streets he got alot of mixed looks. Some kind and greeting, others supicious and untrusting, but he had become to used to it. Maybe if he knew the truth, then he could tell them, and they wouldn't be so distrustful of him anymore. All he could do was hope Siniku had something new for him. He knew it was a long shot, but it was still worth a shot.
