OOC: lets hope this works out better then the last one. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Soma Arumaru Age: 24 Gender: Male Rank: Jounin Village of Origin: Unknown Appearance: Soma. He's about 5'10 and weighs 145 lbs. Despite the fact that his eye appears damaged, he insists he can see perfectly well out of it. Likes: Sleeping in trees, walking in the woods at night, hot baths, lo mein noodles. Dislikes: Bossy people, punks, know it alls, brats, and white rice. Personality: Quiet, seemingly innocent, and a bit reclusive. He's kinda private and tends to keep to himself for the most part. He only really interacts with the others in his cell, or whom ever he might be sent on a mission with. He's nice enough, but people seem to think poor of him due to the many numerous scars all over his body. He's veiwed by most as an outsider and many have a rather poor opinion of him. It's completely unfounded, but you'd never convince them otherwise. Despite this, he actually likes the leaf village and enjoys his work with them. He tends to seem pretty stoic most of the time, but he is in fact just as emotional as anyone else. Special jutsu: He specializes in lightning and water Jutsu. Lightning flash jutsu: This is a powerful, and amazingly quick attack. It requires lots of chakra focused into both the hands and feet. Both a released at the same time to create and almost instantaneous strike. Water fang Jutsu: This conjures, what appear to be, large, ravenous wolves, that strike and ravage the target, using shear water pressure to rip the target apart. Summoning-sky lord jutsu: This summons from the sky a massive eagle. It has a wing span of 40 feet and from beak to tail 25 feet. It has golden feathers, crystal blue eyes, crimson red beak, black feet and silver talons. It's wings trinkle water as it flies and can generate everything from a light shower to a powerful hail. It's cries sound like thunder and it's talons rain lightning. Special weapon: He wears metal gauntlets on his arms. The right, gold colored, the left, silver. They're both clawed, which what he uses them as, metal claws. He uses them for slicing and tearing. The right he calls Lightning, the left Thunder. Bio: He remembers little beyond 4 years ago. He was found bleeding and barely alive on the far edges of the hidden leaf territory. His wounds were of mixed variety. Some appeared to be from blades, while others looked like animal bites and even flesh tears. All that anyone could tell was that something horrible had been done to him. Unfortunatly some of his scars never healed well, so some are still rather nasty looking. His skill as a shinobi became apparent only days after his recovery. For some reason that even he doesn't fully understand, he was able to perform advance level jutsu with little effort. Many believed him to be a spy from another village in another land, but after much interrogation and probing they came to the decision that he was being honest. He really couldn't remember what happend to him, or where he was from. It was more then a little obvious that he was well suited to become a shinobi of the village. The Hokage insisted that he go threw the full cycle like any other ninja. He flew through both the academy and the chunin exams in his first two years. Then earlier this year he was promoted to the rank of jounin for his exceptional skill and loyalty for his new home land.

I guess the big point here is that we really don't have business in Iraq anymore. Bush has brought himself a groupof proverbial Nostra-dumbasses in on his "Iraq study groups", all of which have thse crazy ideas about what it'll take to end the war there. Bottom line is that were not really fighting a war there anymore. The whole time I was there we simply did the same menial tasks day in and day out. Again, it felt more like were colonizing this nation. We went on patrols all day long and manned security check points, you know, the ones that get blown up on the news all the time. We're at a point where we either need to start packing it up or get one hell of a good battle plan. Despite his claims to the Texas air guard, Bush is not, nor has he ever been, in my eyes, a soldier. As such, he has no idea what he's doing to those of us who get stranded there. There even starting to extend tours now to 15 months instead of 12 months which irritates me just a little bit. I don't care who anymore, but someone needs to act out against him before we lose anymore soldiers out there. The hardest thing you can have to do in you military career is tell someone (mother, father, brother, Sister, wife, husband, child) that there (mother, father, brother, Sister, wife, husband, child) is dead. I knew alot of people who have gone there and won't be coming back. A very good friend of mine was lost there. And like he was rubbing it in my face, Bush came out on TV and said that He and his wife suffer just as much as we do. Mother ****er, who does he think he is! Sorry, kinda drew off there. Anyway, I'm all for liberating an oppressed nation. I'm all for fighting for liberty and freedom, but what the hell are we doing in Iraq anymore, other then dieing. I still have nightmares and a head full of ugly memories and this punk in office thinks he knows whats best. Or even has a clue as to what's actually happening in that hell hole. It's time the troops stood up on this one, because I'm not the only one who's against the war anymore. Like I said, anyone who's been there knows what's really going on. They voted, they established a government, we got Saddam, we got his kids, we got Zarqauwi, we trained there military, what else does he think we can do?

Argento had been staring out the port side window into the endless horizon for who knows how long by the time the man "incharge" came in. He was an older gentleman. He seemed like the strong and battle hardend type. He wanted them to introduce themselves. It was at this time that Argento took note of the others in the room with him. The first was some female beast, a cross of human and cat, the next was a the young warrior type, also obviously from the east as he was, and the other appeared to be a small elf. First the cat girl stepped forward. She seemed to be more then she appeared, and seemed as if she could prove useful. He had heard of the Sphynxs, they were suppose to be ancient, and were also very rare. This was his first time actually seeing one. He had never even known anyone who had. This was quite a treat indeed. Next the eastern warrior stepped forward. He seemed a bit odd, and a little pompous. He seemed to feel as if he held some kind of authority here. His right arm was cast in steel. Was the arm made of steel, or was this just some very complex armor. He wasn't too sure, there seemed to be some history between him and the "bossman". As the one calling himself Hoshi steppped back Argento moved himself from the wall, only taking a few steps from his spot. Only just enough to set himself apart from the others "Call me Argento Soma. I hail from the east. I am here to perform my job and I expect to be paid in full upon my completion." The older gentleman named Lefty seemed taken back by this rather brunt introduction "Your a rather no nonsense sort of lad, aren't you?" Argento simply turned away "I would just like to state my interests here and now. Make no mistake, I'm not interested in the why, simply in the what and how. And of course my eventual reward. If you weigh me down I will leave you behind like a broken piece of equipment, hold me back and I'll strike you down myself." This remark seemed to upset most everyone in the room. In particular, the young eastern warrior, Hoshi. He looked as if he might pick a fight for a minute, but seemed to reconsider this thought. Argento simply went back to his wall and continued to gaze at the endless horizon of the sea.

It was another "beautiful", rainy damn day in old London. The nights were cold and days were wet. It was enough to start making Darrick home sick. But he had to keep going. He took off his helmet, but kept the rest of his tactical uniform on and merely concealed it under a brown leather vest, red trench coat and loose pair of denim jeans. He had two M-9's on him just in case. He had come into some interesting information recently. It seems that one of the local cops had a run in witha strange young girl and "shadowy" older guy. This wasn't the first time Darrick had heard a story like this one. Maybe he wasn't the only one working against this corrupt establishment. From what he had managed to gather they seemed as though they could make powerful allies. Provided he could find them. None of his sources had any information on there whereabouts. This was rather troublesome, but he could always ask around. He would just search for the area that seemed to have the most frequent encounters with these people, and maybe that would lead him toward there area of operation. This was going to prove to quite tiresome, but it was the only thing he had to go on. He was getting nowhere fast on his own, so maybe some strong back up would he able to help him out. Not to mention the rumors surrounding this group were no less extravagant then the ones surrounding the government here. This place was starting to sound like a land of monsters, rather than one of corruption like he had initially believed. ----------------------------------------------- After half a day of searching and asking around. everything from police reports, to simple idle chit chat with the locals he had been lead to where he believed might be there whereabouts. Unfortunatlely at best it was somewhere within a 5 mile radius, which still made this like searching for a damn needle in haystack. He cussed under his breath for a bit. The sun was starting to set again. Oh well, not like he could work the same route again anyway. That guy had found him out, and undoutedly wouldn't be as nice the next time around. He also will have shared the news with his friends, so this made things only that much more difficult. The rain had calmed down a bit. Now it was just coming and going in light showers, but with yet another cold night fast approaching he knew he needed some place to stay before he got himself sick out here "No health plan for a rogue." He said jokingly to himself. Anything to make himself feel at least a little bit better about his rather bleak situation. Without even realizing it he had set himself just outside of the old parliament building. He must have lost his focus, but for some reason seeing this building snapped him about. And just next to it was the ever famous Big Ben. He looked to them both for a moment and continued on his way. He needed shelter before the night guard took to the streets. He had to settle for yet another sub standard living arrangement. He decided since he was in the right area, and that he'd never make it back to his hideaway in time before the sun went down, He decided to hideout in an old part of the parliament building. It had been long since abandoned in favor a new structure built buy this new regime. For some reason this old building filled him with hope for the future. He couldn't explain why, but at the same time he also had a terrible feeling of dread. Like his toes were at the edge of a cliff. One step short of destruction. But why? Was the situation more dire then he believed or was it simply the fear of his own impending demise. He knew that whether it was here or back home he wouldn't face a warm reception. The room was completely coverd in a light coat of dust. Only a few pieces of furniture remained. An old lamp which had neither lightbulb nor power source, an old table near the door where the lamp sat as well, an old wooden desk that appeared to be rotting and some grimy looking tiles addorned the floor. The walls had wall paper peeling from them and the whole place smelled of animal must "This is probaly a hide out for some local stray cats too." Darrick thought to himself. The thought was starting to make him feel like a stray cat just for being here. An abandoned animal that had no place left to go and strove simply to stay alive til tomorrow. Kind of a bleak existence. Was this all he was really capable of here? He just ran in hoping to help, but now he faced the reality that on his own the best he could do was just survive til tomorrow. That made it all the more important for him to find others who would aid him in his mission. He knew he was close. All that was left now, was to wait for one of them to show themselves.

I'm sure most of you are aware, but incase your not, congress recently introduced a bill that would allow the US to slowly begin withdrawing troops from Iraq, which President Bush made good on his threat to veto. Now, I am one such soldier who thinks this to be a rather arrogant move by the president. It's as if he did it out of spite for the new democratic congress. I wanted to hear some opinions on this recent event from my friends here on the OB. I think this was just another bull headed move that will only further sabotage the president. Anyone who's spent even a month in Iraq knows that were no really doing anything there anymore. Were fighting without a game plan. It feels less like a liberation and more like colonization. I think it would be in the best intrest of the US to back out now and focus on protecting the home front. As it stands the borders and ports of America are virtually unprotected. Let's face it, this is a done deal, and the soldiers are doing there now is dieing. And trust me, that's no place you want to die in. These people are perhaps some of the most vicious the US have ever faced. It's hard to believe how far they'll go sometimes, but this only makes it that much more important that we hurry home and protect ourselves. As a soldier in Iraq you can quickly go from the most loved person around to the most despised in matter of a few seconds. On one street they swarm around you, thanking and blessing you, and then just two or three streets down your not sure which one wants to kill you, or whether or not your in some rooftops snipers sights. Bush thinks to pull out is to lose, but we sure as hell aren't gonna win by just staying there. What we need is a game plan. I'm a soldier. I'm prepared to die for my country if need be, but I don't want to be a meaningless one, because those are the kinds of deaths you face in Iraq. You die while fighting for nothing. At least let us know what were fighting against now, or what we're trying to achieve. I'd love to hear what the rest of you think.

To be honest the idea of them being CG doesn't bother me much. I'm sucha fan that anything relating to eva is going to excite me, even somethinga as simple as this. I know alot of people were hoping for more, but I'd settle for almost anything at this point. I've been out of the loop for so long that I fee like I'm playing catch up constantly and that I'll never get back up to date. I hope those are the new logos they use for nerv and seele. I think they look good. And I wish nothing short of a slow painful death on who so ever dreamed up this chibi eva thing. It is an afront to all that is eva and eva is god in anime.

Darrick had only found himself in this country a week ago, but already he could smell the stink of tyranny. The lives of those who lived here were closely monitored and at night the streets were plagued by an unusual guard to over see the observance of the nightly curfew. He was out doing some observing of his own. This nations defences seemed awfully low for it to be so secretive. He had managed to get so many illegal weapons so easily, even move about the streets at night with out to much trouble, so long as he wasn't spotted. There seemed to be no answers to any of the questions of this place. It was like someone was just playing with him. This thought made him very irratated. He didn't appreciate the feeling. He thought that acting out may be the only way to get there attention, but he knew better they that. The streets were empty tonight as they were any other night. The only exceptions were these heavily clad night police. Why was it that they only showed themselves at night. The rumors surrounding them borderd on the ubsurd, but he didn't have anything else to run on. He had been following the same guard for almost an hour. His tactical uniform had turned out to be worth every penny he spent on it. But even though he was certain that the adaptive camouflage was working he couldn't help but think that the guard knew was there. The man kept looking back toward Darrick every few minutes, but never said anything, or acted out in anyway. For this reason, Darrick kept his distance. He wasn't sure why, but he felt a forboding about this night. He had been following them for so long now, but he still wasn't learning anything. The hour was late and they would soon go back into hiding til tomorrow. Darrick considerd this to be a good time to turn in as well. As he moved to leave and return to hiding himself, when he heard three words that struck him "Leaving so soon?" He felt as if he had been struck across the face. The guard was aware of him! But for how long, and why had he not done anything sooner. Darrick was in a rather compromising state, unsure of whether to retaliate or simply run for it. He felt himself break into a cold sweat. The guard turned and faced him witha smile across his face "What is it one like you hopes to gain by being here? Did you think I wouldn't notice you?" Had he known all along, but then why? This man seemed so strange. He really was just toying with him, but that meant little now. He began to approach Darrick. In a split decision Darrick dropped and flash bang and made a run for it in the flash, but he wasn't sure that would be enough for him to escape. Darrick ended up running til the sunlight started to fill the streets again. How long or how far he had gone he wasn't that sure. He felt as though he had come face to face with death incarnate. Even if the rumors weren't true, that man certainly didn't feel human. Darrick quickly gained his bearins through his suits helmet and took himself back home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ He had been hinding out in an old boiler room for a long since a abandoned restaurant in the slums of the city. He hadn't been found yet, but he knew that someone would notice him here eventually. He needed to get himself an actual place to stay, but at this point he wasn't sure just who to trust. Everything seemed to be a lie. He took off his suit and buried it under some fallen gravel and chunks of old concrete. He huddled himself in the corner nearest the door and decided it best he catch some sleep for the time being. He would take to the streets in the afternoon, to see if maybe he couldn't find anymore useful information.

Sado was starting yet another early morning enjoying the peace and quiet of his small, cold domicile. He leaned back in his arm chair and slowly flipped through the pages of his latest book. After reading for twenty minutes he closed the book and walked to the window and looked out at all the young genin making there way to the academy. He decided it was best that he start to do the same. He picked his sword and gauntlet, put his cross necklace on, threw his coat on and stepped out into the world. It wasn't that warm yet, but he could tell it was going to be another hot one. He kinda cringed at the idea, but whatever. Not like he can do much about. He set off for the academy, only wondering in his usual daze, what this new day would hold for him. He recognized many of the genin that were out and about, and even more of the jounin. He made it a point to pass by his mothers flower shop every morning to see how she was doing. It had only been a year since he moved out on his own so he liked to check in on her. She was the only family he had left. After a quick visit with is mother he continued on, lost in thought once again. Along his way he saw two more genin he recognized. Toru, Toru Uragashi and Gosa Kosenki. They had become genin shortly before he became a chunin. They were younger than him, but he liked them all the same. The two were going on about something. Hey walked over towards them "Not causing trouble, are you?" They both turned and Toru replied "Hey, Sado. Good to see you got this morning." Sado smiled "Hey, that only happend once and I wasn't even that late." Toru laughed "Sure, right." Sado looked to Gosa "Morning Gosa." "Hey. How you doing mister big time chunin. Not to big for your little genin friends right." He replied poking fun. Sado laughed "Your as loud as ever. You know that annoys me when yell like that. I'm standing right here. No need to yell." Gosa "I don't yell, I speak with authority." Toru smirks "Whatever. Anyway, were heading out to the hot springs. Wanna come?" Sado shakes his head "You know me, I prefer my water cold not hot. I gotta get going anyway. Later." The two turn "Later." And now Sado continues on to his way to the academy. He was scheduled to meet with one of the seasoned jounin for orientation. He was a rather famous one at that. the masked man, Siniku "Snickerfox" Yoshimitsu. Today was looking like a good day.

I, too, come from a divorced family, but it had little effect on me. I had known that my parents relationship was rocky for quite some time and was not that surprised by it when it happend. My brother on the other hand, who is two years my junior, took it pretty hard. He became very angry and disconnected from the rest of my family. He seemed unhappy no matter where he was. Esspecially after our dad started dating again. That was pretty hard on him. He then started to blame our dad and the woman he was dating at the time (note: this same woman is now his wife.) Claiming he cheated on her and that he was scum and all kinds of unpleasantness. The only real effect on me was caused by the stress of having to be the middle man in this whole drama. Fortunatly though as the years went on he calmed down and is doing much better. I think what happend to my brother was nothing more then a cloud of confusion. He couldn't grasp the idea that our parents weren't together anymore, while I had been aware of there problems for almost a year before the divorce. I think parents should try to be a bit more forward with there children about such matters, because it effects the kids just as much as it does the parents. True, only the parents can ultimatly decide, but it's important to not just up and go like that. I'm starting to see a very similar event unfold the family of a friend of mine. He's doing okay because he knew things weren't right, but his brother is having a hard time. Be forward with kids about things like this. esspecially older kids, like my brother and the brother of my friend, who are and were in there early teens at the time. There not stupid, they'll get it if you help them.

I took up boxing. That seemed to do it for me. Nothing better than getting to pound somebody else, and even getting pound yourself sometimes to help you feel better. Okay, it sounds weird. Feeling better after getting wailed on, I know, but I swear, it works. I took up alot of different martial arts because I enjoyed it so much. I love that the feeling you get at the end of a good fight, regardless if you win or lose. Hell, even waking up after getting knocked out can feel pretty good sometimes.

Name: Sado Imano Age: 19 Gender: Male Rank: Chunin Village of Origin: Hidden leaf Appearance: Sado. He's particularly tall, standing at 5'11 and weighting in at 153 lbs. He generally dresses about as flashy as the picture suggests, but he's really not looking for attention, he just has odd taste. He likes to keep his hair long and draws it back into a ponytail while on missions. He wears his headband around his neck, along with a strange cross as well. Likes: Quiet places, cold rooms, reading, and fried fish Dislikes: Loud people, hot days, lazy people, and white rice Personality Quirks: One of his most notable of his quirks is his ability to be kinda rude without sounding like or meaning to. He honestly does try to be polite, but he has no tact, so he tends to just kinda say things without thinking about how he's said it or the words he's used to say it. He carries a pretty blank and thoughtless expression most of the time, so most people assume he's kinda stupid, when he's actually pretty sharp. He just enjoys surprising people like that. Special Jutsu: He actually specializes in ice jutsus. His favorites are... Ice doopleganger: Clones made of ice. His current skill limits him to 20 solid clones and 50 false ones. Field Ice: It causes the ground for upto a 3 square kilometers to freeze over, including things like trees and any bodies of water in that radius as well. He uses this to throw his opponents off on there footing and to give himself an enviromental advantage. Frozen flail: A long, heavy chain of ice he swings from his sword. It has a maximum reach of 60 feet due to his present limits in strength, though it can reach 100 if he uses "Feild Ice". Special weapon: A sword and gauntlet made of a special material called ice steel. An heirloom from his father. Ice steel is a special metal renowned, not just for it's strength, but for that fact that, regardless of the exterior temprature, it constantly maintains a tempreture just below freezing (between 28 and 30 degrees farenheigth) Bio: Sado was born in the leaf village, though his father originally hailed from the mist village. After some unpleasantness, his father defected from the hidden mist and met Sado's mother and the rest is history as one would say. Sado's father taught him many of the same jutsu he once used. Sado spent the first five years of his life training under his father. When he was 6 he went to the academy where he developed the more basic skills of the shinobi. When he was 14 he graduated after failing the finals twice. Despite these early set backs he's made great strides since. His father was killed in action when he was 11. He died as a Jounin of the Leaf village and was very proud of it. Since then it's been just Sado and his mother who works at a local weapons shop. After he graduated Sado took up his fathers sword and gauntlet, two things he forgot bring with him on his last mission, and began to train with both diligently. both were heavy so he had to do a lot of strength training so he could carry both of them. After his thrid try he managed to pass the Chunin exam. Now he's suppose to be moving on and is suppose to recieveing his own team new genin.

After having only watched the firlst episode I have found myslef at least vaguely interested. I hope it will continue to develope nicely cause it has potential to be a good series.
-
Personally I'm gonna have to go with Dagger on this one. I'm really kind of indifferent with whether or not you want to buy out of region from China or Korea or wherever, but I personally try to steer clear of it myself. If there's a series I really want to see, then I'll just watch it online or wait for the release here. It's nothing moral or anything, I just don't trust bootlegers for a quality copy. And not to end up getting in trouble for it.

Sometimes it's just a side effect of the writers trying to make the characters relatable. At least that's what I think on the topic. I'm no expert, but if you learn to relate and sympathize with these characters then having an actual attachment manifest itself is almost guaranteed to happen every now and again. Don't get me wrong here, I prefer my girls made of flesh and bone, but some people just like that emotional investment they have in the character. I'm sure all of us have emotionally invested ourselves in some show or movie at one point or another. I mean I remember crying at the end of Armageddon when I first saw that. Obviously there are degrees and boundaries that shouldn't be breached, but I don't see a problem with people putting some kind of emotional investment into a character. If anything it's a sign of humanity. Were emotional creatures and easily swayed by them.

Name: Goes by Argento Soma Age: mid to late twenties, roughly guessing Gender: Male Race: Human Appearance: Argento Soma. He stands at about 5'10 and weights in at 165 lbs. He's scared from head to toe. His left eye is damaged, but he can still see vaguely out of it, mostly colors and blurred shapes. Bio: Little is known about his past, even to himself. All he remembers it has something to do with the great war so many years ago now. The first clear memory he has is of terrible pain. It was about a year after the end of the war. He awoke in a grassy field coverd in blood and in terrible pain. He screamed out for help and was aided by two passing travelers. They were elves. They said they had heard someone fighting, but when they arrived he was the only still there. They brought him back and tended to his rather severe wounds. After only a week he began to have nightmares. He would always awake from them, rather then in fear, in a terrible rage. He spent the next year with the elves, learning what he could about them and himself with the aid of the elder. But at the end of the year the elder told him his rage had become to great and that he was no longer welcome to stay. The elder feared that with the anger inside him he might lash out and was prepared to fight, but instead he simply bowed and left the village without so much as a word. For the next 2 years he became a vagabond, simply wandering about the world with no real destination in mind. In his journey he gatherd not ony knowledge, but weapons. He felt like he was a soldier on a mission, but he wasn't quite sure what the mission was. He had managed to leave with not only some elven arms from the village had stayed at, he also managed to attain some dwarven armor as well. As he went along he felt himself becoming more and more enraged, but he couldn't rememebr why he was so angry. It didn't matter how much he attained or how many women he took for himself, he always felt in a state of rage. For the last year he had been staying at a fallen outpost. It had become a home for vagabonds like himself, former soldiers, criminals on the run, and even refugees from the last great war. It was at this time and place he took up mercenary work. He found that it was the easiest way for one such as him. He took the items he had gatherd and his haphazard skills to the streets of the world and became rather infamous in the eastern territory. It was only but a week ago he recieved a rather strange invitation for what claimed to be "the job of a lifetime." Specialty: He's a self taught swordsman. He has his own unique way doing things so he can often bewilder even seasoned opponenets. The name he gave himself means "Silver Body". He decided on it because of the silver colored mythril chainmail he wears under his clothing. He thougth it sounded dramatic. He weilds a sword forged by elves in the eastern territory he managed to steal while on a job called Demon Rage. He's not sure what it's made of, but it's pretty strong, so he has good faith in it. Personality: His is a soul filled with hatred and malice. He cares little for others and only agrees to work with others when it fuels his own agenda. He is quiet with little to no outward expression of this deep burning anger, that runs deeper then the scars all over his body. He's sharp witted and inquisitive, but he would never lead on to believe as much, since he usually seems lathargic and uniterested. Despite his rather unsettling personality for the most part, he still manages to be rather quirky at times.

I'm actually quite satisfied with alot of the newer shows they've had lately. Trinity blood was good and I'm a huge Bleach fan in case you hadn't guessed yet. Blood+ also shows some promise as well. Naruto is also good. Don't get me wrong, I liked some of the older shows, but time changes everything and we must change with them. You can't just revert back and fourth. The only thing that really bugs me is that I can't find Ronin Warrriors on DVD, which irritates me. Other than that, I gladly embrass this new, brave anime world of ours.

Name: Darrick Adams aka Collin Flek Age: 27 Species and Clan: Human, United States Appearance:Darrick Adams. He stands at 5'10 and 210 lbs. He has a few scars around his mid section from bullets and a few stabs and cuts on his limbs. Personality: He's a bit rough around the edges, but he has the best intentions at heart. He has a strong sense of justice, but he also is a man of "the end justifies the means". This often makes him hard to work with and he often gets in trouble with his superiors over such matters. He believes in freedom above all else. Not only his own freedom, but in the free rights that belong to all mankind. Biography: He was born in North Dakota in the United States. He had a fairly typical up bringing. His father was the local sheriff of the small town he grew up in and his mother was a nurse at a local clinic. Seeing his parents working there whole lives to help there fellow man is perhaps what inspired him to become and officer of the law as well. But he wasn't satisfied just working as a cop in his home town. He wished to help and protect so many more. When he was 22 he became an FBI agent. After only 3 years of meritorious work, he was approached by the CIA. He soon found himself as one of there covert agents. His life became a secret. As far as his family knew he was still working for the FBI as a pencil pusher, rather than a feild agent anymore. It had been happening for awhile when he first enterd the agency. He was aware of Britians political changes, but he was unaware of to what degree it had taken. He saw a once free nation in the clutches of a threatening dictatorship. The very thought repulsed him. He begged his spuperiors to take some kind of action. He asked to be sent so he might learn some way to expose them to the world for what they were and what they had become. After a year of what seemed to be endless requests and still not even a glimmer of hope he broke free of the agency and went rogue. He took the resources he had gatherd over the last 2 years to move himself about rapidly. After 6 months of country hoping he finally arrived in Britian. He has gone underground now, taking every resource no matter how small or unimportant it may seem. He took note that the streets were plagued with a rather odd group of what appeared to be enforcers of some kind. The rumors circling not only them, but the government the fell under itself seemed ubsurd, but he was willing to work with whatever he could get. Extras: Due his time spent with the CIA he has a knowledge of the under ground weapons ring. He has obtained many illegal weapons and has been slowly arming himself, preparing for what he sees as an all out war. He has obtained many military grade armaments. Everything from simple gernades to much more advanced technology. The "U soldier" Uniform is one such assest. It comes with adaptive camoflage so he can quickly while still attracting little attention. It also uses a hyper tensive fabric to act as artifical muscle, increasing his physical strength by 30%. The helmet is fully wired to give him access to phone lines, as well as internet and self mapping capabilites. He has also managed to obtain the HK PNG. It's small and non lethal. To top it off, it's also fully automatic. It's great for crowd surpression, firing only rubber bullets. The next weapon in his arsanal is the Cornershot 3. A weapon, not only capable of reaching around corners, but also capable of interchangable means of fire. It can range from a mere 9mm to .45 cal to shotgun shells. It to can also fire rubber bullets for missions that require a non lethal approach. But when all else fails he always has a weapon that never goes out of style, a good old fashion combat knife. Always good for sticky situations when your left with no alternative.

THis is kind of an odd quirk on me but I just can't help it. I hate open doors. Even if it's a room I'm not in, the door cannot be open. I have actually been in the living room watching a movie with my girlfriend and as soon as looked down the hall and noticed the bathroom door was open. I actually became so frustrated that jumped quickly from the couch to the bathroom door, closed and went right back to my seat, much to my girlfriends bewilderment. Is there a name for this kind of condition? And if there is please E-mail or PM with what exactly it's called. I'm crazy.... well, crazier then I already knew I was, I'd like to know it.

Name: Emilio Batou Age: 17 Appearance: Emilio. Personality: Jaded and filled with a general kind of lonliness and hopelessness. The curse has followed him for so long and little remains of the once kind and loving soul he once was. He has become bitter, angry and mistrusting. He keeps the world at a double arms length. When he looks out into the world he doesn't see people he sees victims. How He Got Cursed: It was 6 years earlier. Emilio once lived in a small town called Zandaria. It was small and isolated, but it was a simple happy life. Emilio was still living with his mother and father. Simple, but that's all he ever wanted. Then one day "he" came. The towns people rarely saw outsiders, but they were to kind and trusting in nature to think ill of him. They simply smiled and greeted this beast into the home. Emilio found him casually striding through the streets. "He" walked over to Emilio with a smile, but Emilio thought it seemed hollow. But he paid it little mind, like those in his, he was to good natured to think ill of it. "He" then walked over to Emilio with his hollow smile "Why hello little boy." Emilio simply smiled and responded "Hello." "He" then said the words that Emilio will never forget "Have ever wanted to see the world?" Emilio had never thought of it before, but now that this thought had been given to him. Emilio nodded "Yeah, I think I would." "He" then said "Put out your hand." Though hesitant he put his right hand forward. "He" then clasped Emilio's hand with both of his own tightly til Emilio felt a slight twinge. The next memory Emilio had was of bone chilling cold. As his eyes came back into focus he saw mounds of snow and ice. He thought that perhaps he had been kidnapped and dumped in the mountains by the man. But then he started to notice the odd shape of some of the ice formations. As he drew closer to them he began to realize the horrible truth. The town he was born in and had lived and loved some much was now no more then a frozen was landed. Many of the buildings were destroyed and in rubble, as if there was some kind of battle. He began to cry in the frozen town, his own tears freezing on his face. The next thing he heard was the sound of hands clapping. It was "Him". He was looking at Emilio with a much more satisfied grin on his face. "He" then said "That was a truly fantastic display, my boy. Even I didn't dare hope for so much." Emilio felt his sorrow melting under a burning rage. He ran after "Him", but the faster he ran the further "He" seemed to get. Just before "He" disappeared into the snow, he said "I hope to see you again some day, my boy. Your performance was truly enjoyable." Emilio feel to his knees at the edge of the snow and what remains of the grassy plain. Filled with fury and and unbareable sorrow, he has left the remnants of his happy life to fulfil his mission of death of that bastard. Sasu, the curse bringer.

I've made no small note of the fact that I am an avid Evangelion fan. As such, I'm sure you can guess that I too greatly anticipate the release of the new Eva movies. But to along with those I'm also looking forward to more Ergo Proxy and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps a fear of some form of predator. The claws and fangs are easily explained by this, but the pale skin and sunken eyes are something quite different. It is possible that it could signify illness or even injury, something else man has always avoided. Imparticularly illness stricks me as a likely culprit since paling of the skin can be a fairly typical syptom in many diseases, while sunken eyes could have arisen from bags under the eyes caused from lack of sleep, another fairly common symptom of illness. Ones skin can also turn pale and eyes discolored if you've lost significant amounts of blood. In the end, I think they all stem from the universal fear of impending death.

I think it's because men are veiwed as the more agressive sex and thus should be the first one to take action in any would be relationship. Personally I have no problem with a woman asking me out. To be quite honest I'm actually kind of shy in person so it's sometimes even a bit more comfortable for me when women do take the initiative.

The basic premise I was going with were troops stationed at a FOB (Foward Operating Base) in Iraq. I have no problem with you choosing to be a marine, but I'm afraid I know substanily less about them then the army. Current events and some of my real life experiences will play intot he story, but for the most part it will be exactly what life is like there. Hectic and constantly moving.

I've heard and used many a lame pick up line, but this is one of my personaly favorites, though it has an almost zero success rate, as most of them do. Do you believe in love and first sight, or do I need to walk by again? Lame, corny, and laughable. But hey, that's alot like me too, so it fits well enough.
