I'm curious to know how the Intrepid was taken out, the trap that Erica spoke of. I'm assuming that the details will be forthcoming in a future post, though if not, I hope you'll post that here since I'd really like to know how they took down a flagship.
No worries, that will be explained in due time. But since it's similar to the upcoming strike on the Empire's part, I was vague with the details for that so it will be more of a surprise when it happens. Though I'm sure you've probably already got a good idea as to how that happened or will happen. In other words, you'll find out soon enough when the New Alliance gets clobbered. :p

Harrison had been leaning up against the school building watching the entire mess and laughing inwardly at the Head Master's attempts to restore order. He couldn't know that most of the students had decided among themselves to ignore him whenever possible, or of the various pranks they had in store for him. No one really liked the pompous old fool since he seemed to think that being a historian meant he should get respect. He was forgetting that for a school that was accustomed to having someone more qualified like Catherine in charge, one had to earn respect at that point. The students liked Catherine because even though she was a strict and hard task master when it came to lessons, once a student took a test, she was unfailingly courteous, praising you for what you did right and then reminding you of what you did wrong. There was never any 'buts' attached to Catherine's compliments, when she said you were doing well at something, she meant it. There was never any doubt that what she said wasn't the honest truth. And she was endlessly patient in helping you understand if you were lost on a subject or aspect of a lesson. For Harrison though that respect stemmed from another aspect and that was one of the many sayings that was often drilled into the students by the teachers. Most of them along the lines of serving their family and the Dynasts to the best of their abilities. But Harrison's favorite was 'A fit body makes for a fit mind' a truism that Catherine herself had used when talking to his mother Harriet about letting him enroll in the swordsmanship classes. Harriet had been dead set against it, not wanting another one of her children involved in anything that could result in him joining the military or even the RPG. It had been Catherine's influence that had finally convinced her to relent. After all over half of the students participated in some form of class like that, from swordsmanship, to equestrian, to many of the other more active sports enjoyed by the citizens of High Czenoble. The only catch, a student had to have their parent's permission to take the classes. He had already been sneaking out and attending them anyway, using a note he had forged himself, but Catherine had of course found out, she always did. And at that point the 'discussion' had come up with Harriet and then subsequently with Catherine as well since she always took responsibility when it came to following up with her students. In the end, the lessons had finally been formally approved, though that had been nearly four years ago. Still as she gave the order for everyone to get to classes and Harrison along with the others who had lessons that morning, it only reminded him of why she commanded respect so easily. Even if his mother had said no, she would have had his. He might not have continued to attend school and instead got into even more mischief, but it hadn't and he always looked forward to at least the mornings at Chaos. It didn't take him long to get to the other building that though further down the street, was still considered a part of Chaos. This was a salle, a building devoted to the teaching and practice of arms. The inside one of sanded wooden floors, with mirrored walls and clerestory windows above. It was obvious that the building saw hard use and the furnishings were well worn. Dented and chipped wooden benches and storage boxes that doubled as seating. Practice armor, of padded leather, hung on the wall. Racks of wooden blades were beside the armor and even the smell was one of sweat, leather, leather oil and a hint of sawdust. There were separate rooms for the students who had been receiving lessons longer. For most of them at that point had the need for not only more one on one instruction but because after warming up with practice wooden blades, they would move to working with live steel next. The rooms were lockable from the inside once the lesson was in earnest. Something that was necessary since the Salle was open to all and even untutored students had been known to wander in at times. Leaving it open for the chance that one of them would blunder in at the wrong time and any weapons master knew that when using live steel, your concentration was focused, making it possible for one to not notice anything but your opponent, until it was too late. Harrison just smiled as the newer students moved to the center of the main room while he and some of the others moved to the private rooms they were assigned too. Ever since he had learned enough to be allowed to work with live steel his lessons had taken on a whole new level of enjoyment. Working with live steel always gave him an -the pun was inevitable- edge. His awareness went up a degree, and everything seemed just that much clearer and sharper. Even his reflexes seemed to improve. He entered the room he was assigned to, his teacher already waiting, and suited up in the padded leather; retrieving the practice sword they would use to warm up first. As he moved to the center of the room, the thought crossed his mind that there was another reason why he liked the lessons. If he ended up unable to work for the guard, if he worked hard enough to be good at it. Then it was possible he might at least be able to teach it some day. He certainly wasn't going to do any of the other more mundane or rather what he considered boring jobs available. Then as the lesson began in earnest, he focused on the here and now instead.

Just in case it was not clear in my post, the ship that was destroyed in sector twelve, the Intrepid, is one of the five flagships. I think the High Council is not going to be pleased when they find out. Heh.

Stevens had been avoiding the request from Erica Kendrick that he come and speak with her, for the simple reason that he was constantly tied up with dealing with matters in regards to the fighting that was taking place. Even if for the most part the borders weren't all that busy, they were still having random skirmishes on a regular basis, each one often requiring his attention or some form of response. The break off and beginning of Civil War hadn't even reached a half a year and already their resources were being drained. From the re-supply and deployment of troops to re-establish Versilan rule in sector's seven and eight and thirteen as well as the group investigating sector fourteen. In terms of making progress, things were going well for them to have re-secured so much ground but doing so had required unbelievable expenses. It was unfortunate, but they were going to have to head back to sector one to deal with not only repairs to the two flagships but to pick up more troops to replace those that were now stationed in the two sectors they had reclaimed. As well as additional battleships to replace those that had been lost in battle. Still even with those that had been lost Stevens was pleased, he was expecting a message shortly indicating that the second force he had sent to sector twelve had finished it's job. Once he had that they would leave for sector one to prepare for moving to seize the rest of the sectors that had broken off. He already had the strikes ready, those would be set in motion and soon, potentially crippling the New Alliance forces that remained. He was almost to the door leading into the main sickbay for the Creator when a chime indicated that he had an incoming message. Stevens paused briefly to look at what had been sent, a moment later his expression darkened with anger. How is that possible? He caught himself starting to grip his hand held computer tightly and forced himself to relax, destroying his computer wouldn't change the message. Even if he might wish that it would. With a snap he closed the computer and tucked it back into his side pouch and entered the sick bay, heading straight for Erica Kendrick's room, eager to get the meeting over with while simultaneously wondering why the hell he even bothered to keep her alive. She was a former High Council member and use to be the head of the Resistance before she had been arrested. It was her careful leadership of the Resistance that had lead to the current Civil War. And since her illness left any form of torture or coercion out of the picture, he was starting to see her more as an unnecessary burden since he couldn't force her to tell him what she knew. With a sigh he entered the code and entered the room where she was clearly resting, it didn't take her long to wake up, it never did. "It's about time you showed up fool." She said with the usual hint of disdain in her voice. "You're late." "And you're as charming as ever Erica." He hid his irritation, even though he was sure she could see it just the same, she always did. Making him uncomfortable with how she always seemed to be one step ahead, even in her current position of being a prisoner. "It's not like you couldn't have stopped by before you re-took sector eight and sent someone to deal with sector twelve." She smirked knowingly and then paused as a bought of coughing overtook her. Stevens just waited patiently for it to end since he knew she had no control over it and sure enough it finally passed. He ignored the blood on her hands as she used the small towel just for that purpose to clean up and then take a drink of the medicated water that was sitting by her bed. "Anyway," she said after leaning back weakly, the bed still in a half sitting position. "Which ship was it? The Intrepid or the Crescent?" She cracked a half grin at his slight start of surprise. "Honestly Stevens, I would have thought you would have figured it out by now. I don't need someone to tell me, I set things up based on which sectors were likely to break free if given a chance." She paused to catch her breath before continuing. "I already know about the trap that was prepared in sector twelve and since the Eclipse was seized by the New Alliance and both the Creator and the Conqueror are here, that means that it has to be either the Intrepid or the Crescent. So which is it? Which one was destroyed by the New Alliance?" Stevens just sighed inwardly. I hate how she does that. It was utterly annoying for her to be so accurate as to how things were going and even though letting her know that it was the Intrepid that had been destroyed was meaningless, a stubborn part of him refused to be so forthcoming with the information. After all, even he didn't know the full details just yet. "Let's see..." She reached up and grasped her chin with her right hand, clearly thinking and then she let go. "I'll tell you something in exchange for that useless bit of information, after all, I know I'm right and it changes nothing if I know the name of the ship that was lost." Stevens yawned, "What makes you think I care what you know?" "The fact that you're here?" "I could be here to finally order your long overdue execution." "Fine by me," Erica said dismissively. "I won't be sorry to leave this diseased body behind, after all you've denied me the right to chose to die like so many who suffer from it chose to do." "You never asked." "So what?" Erica countered. "Anyway, you're tiresome Stevens, I was going to tell you to check into Commodore Nazar of the Intrepid since he's got some very interesting and shady deals going on. But if it was the Intrepid that went down you have nothing to worry about." She smiled, "Unless it was the Crescent and Commodore Brian who was destroyed... I'm sure you understand, if Nazar is still around, I'd keep my eye on that one if I were you. He'd love nothing better than to stab you in the back personally." "Why would you bother to warn me of shady deals on Nazar's part?" "I would have thought that was obvious, even if it's beneficial to you to put an end to it. It is also good for the New Alliance. Take a look and see, it's not like you can't look the other way once you find out." Erica pressed the controls on the bed, shifting it so she was closer to a lying position. "Now, leave. I'd like to get some rest." Erica closed her eyes and then smiled at Stevens final words he shot in her direction as he left. "It was the Intrepid." And then the doors closed behind him and she turned the lights off while also pressing the button to request more of the painkillers she was allowed to take. Something that the automatic controls on the bed administered via the lines that were hooked up to her.

YOU FASCISTS...my first complaint thread
Horendithas replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Help & Feedback

Besides, it's our job to just embrace the fascism. To be happy with totalitarian rule.
So... Does this mean I can have the title: Commandant of AV District? :p -

I think you went through the semantics of the first sentence with Nerdsey, but just to clarify, I am very aware that the theory of gravitation didn't pop out of the clouds from nowhere. I also did *NOT* say, "You're wrong to believe in creationism or intelligent design."
Did I say you did? No.
What I DID say was, "You're wrong to dismiss Evolution as just a silly idea because for a fact, it has a staggering amount of evidence to prove its case."
You essentially shouted instead of doing this from the beginning:
And if you're challenging me to provide that evidence, here you are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution - Please also take a look at the footnote references and the external links. I'm not asking for proof for myself, in all honesty the topic bores me. What I'm asking is that instead of responses like this:
You're WRONG. Evolution has TONS AND TONS OF FACTS TO BACK UP ITS CLAIMS. (As does gravity.) I'm tired of people dismissing evolution because it's "JUST" a theory. Go look up the way we use the word theory in the context of evolution. It's backed by enough fact for it to be an intelligent, fairly conclusive consideration.
I'd rather see ones like the previous with the actual links since really, you laid into who? For what? If someone wants to dismiss evolution that's their choice really. So what if someone dismisses evolution, the world isn't going to change and getting annoyed or tired solves nothing. People have a right to their opinion whether you agree or not. And while we're at it as far as I'm concerned, this by far is the best post in the entire thread:
I believe in the self-assuredness of the people who will post in this thread in the coming weeks.
I see where I misunderstood here (the use of commas threw me off), but now I'm confused as to why you made the point in the first place.
I made the point because she was using caps and yelling that there were and I quote: Evolution has TONS AND TONS OF FACTS TO BACK UP ITS CLAIMS. Without attempting to back up where or what these facts were. ;) I was suggesting that she do more than simply yell you're wrong, to actually say yes there are facts and these are it [insert info here; like the info that gravity is a theory from Newton] Blindly shouting you're wrong in a debate solves nothing really.
I understood your point. I didn't comment on it because I had no reason to. However, you said that Newton's theory was not "a theory of graviation per se," which was wrong. I was correcting that.
*sigh* You're still nitpicking and missing the point. I said theories don't show up on their own. Hence, it's Newton's theory. Honestly, pay attention. I believe you're referring to Newton's theory MistressRoxie, not a theory of Gravitation per se In other words, that theory came from Newton, it didn't just exist. So stop with the silly nitpicking. In other words: Per Se:
A Latin phrase used in English arguments for "by itself"
The theory of gravitation per se...
Newton's theory is a theory of gravitation. It's called "Newton's Theory of Universal Gravitation." I believe you're referring to Newton's theory MistressRoxie, not a theory of Gravitation per se, not the same thing really. But I digress. A hush fell on the crowd when it became apparent that one of the most famous and wealthiest of widows had finally arrived, the lavishly done carriage was unmistakable as it pulled up close to the entrance to the personal box of the Dynast. Reporters readied their camera's as servants hurried off to inform the heirs to the Dynast of the expected arrival of Lady Bavaria. A moment later and the door to the carriage was opened and with a swirl of silk Bavaria herself stepped out. Dressed in shades of red in a revealing and expensive gown. She moved in a graceful manner that practically posed for the reporters taking pictures. She was almost to the entrance to the Dynast Marquee when Princess Augustine, Primas Generous and Juvenus Courageous came out to greet her. Resulting in so many camera flashes going off that it was a wonder the group wasn't blinded. "So very good of you to come Lady Bavaria," Primas Generous smiled. "And I must say dear you look wonderful." "You're too kind. Thank you for the wonderful invitation Primas Generous." Bavaria smiled as she moved to continue into the Marquee with the others. It was at that moment that yet another commotion was caused by the arrival of a second carriage, this time it was the Almagest's. "Ah Daedalus," Bavaria said with a smirk once she turned to see him along with his family. "How wonderful to see that you are well enough to attend the Chimera Cup." "Oh most definitely," Princess Augustine said ever so sweetly. "Do keep an eye on your father Nellie, I know how much you care for him." "Thank you princess." Nellie replied. "You and I need to have a chat Bavaria," Daedalus looked at the trio, his expression almost flat. "After the Chimera Cup of course." "Quite," Juvenus Courageous chimed in and then wrinkled his nose a bit. "What in the world is that smell?" The group turned to see the Head Master of Chaos timidly approaching the group, obviously intent on inserting himself into the conversation. Something that had Harrison rolling his eyes. "What a dork." Harrison complained under his breath causing Dawlish to poke him in the side. "Not here Harrison." He said only loud enough for him to hear. "Harrison." Harriet said under her breath in a warning tone, causing him to hush. "Ah, your highness..." Lector Moebius started to say only to be cut off as Princess Augustine backed away a bit and covered her mouth and nose with a handkerchief. "Good grief! Don't you dare come any closer. What in the world have you been getting into?" She made shooing motions. "Don't come back until you've taken a bath. Better yet, don't come back at all." She motioned to a servant who immediately moved to usher the Head Master away from the group. With a sigh of relief Princess Augustine removed the handkerchief once the rancid smell had faded. "Come! I need something to drink after that." She glanced at the Almagest's who were still there. "Do enjoy the races, I know I will." And with that the group turned and entered the Dynast Marquee while the others moved to enter the other Marquee where the others would be waiting. Or rather the events in the last week made it seem like forever and though he tried not to, he couldn't help but smile a bit as the group entered the box where the others were. "Oh good! Now Victoria can finally talk someone else's ears off." Fauntleroy said upon noticing that the others had arrived. "Hey!" Victoria objected before with a squeal she ran to give Daedalus a hug. "I'm so glad you're okay Uncle Daedalus." "Thank you Victoria," Daedalus said after she let go and went back to the front of the box to keep an eye on the current race. "Daedalus," Catherine smiled as she moved to hug her brother once Victoria had moved. "I'm so pleased to see you up dear." She turned to Harriet. "And I'm thrilled to see you as well dear, why don't you come and take a seat?" "I'd love to." Harriet said after giving Daedalus's arm a gentle squeeze. "It's turning out to be a wonderful day, isn't it Uncle?" Alecia asked when Daedalus finally took a seat, close to where she was sitting. "In more ways than one dear," Macey spoke up, causing Alecia to look slightly puzzled as to what she could mean. Daedalus just smiled pleasantly as he took notice of Dawlish and Nellie finding a spot over where Eva was and launching in a heated discussion about the different types of Chimeras and which one they thought would win. "No, no, no!" Eva was saying as she got off on a tangent about one aspect in Chimera's being superior over another. "I hope you don't mind if I steal Alecia from all of you?" Alexander asked as he came over and extended his hand to help her stand up. "Not at all," Macey said kindly before the two left to head for one of the many flower vendors, smiling at the thought that he was likely taking her over to pick out one of the many pin on bouquets being sold. "Dad!" Harrison who had been down at the front of the box came rushing back up to where Daedalus was sitting. "You should come sit down front!" He tugged a bit on his sleeve and then stopped, and then smiled when Daedalus got up and followed him down to the front row seats.

Just a notice... I'm working on a fairly large post that includes a lot of characters... so if all of you could hold off on posting for a little bit... I'll come back and edit this once I'm done. It shouldn't be longer than another hour. :p EDIT: And done, though that took a little longer than I expected.

Time to get back on track and make sure that Lady Bavaria is dealt with! I mean seriously people... can you imagine her... as Queen? Perish the thought! We must band together and shove her over the edge of the section she will be in at the Chimera Cup just as a band of Chimera's go racing by... Being trampled to death by Chimera's would be a fitting end for a miserable creature like her! :p Oh and in case you've missed it here... I'm volunteering to have Harrison be the one who 'accidentally' pushes her over the edge!

Well not only did I like the more noble manner of Darren's death, I rather liked the headlines in the next one and that interesting little from natural causes death... now I wonder just who that could be? :p

Now it's time for Daedalus to go with his family to the races and have people think his son is his grandson instead. Plus it will contradict the rumors that he's ill since he's up and about so quickly after being hurt in the blast. EDIT: Oh and about your time line Sandy... He, like all students at Chaos, had taken the required etiquette classes. And though Harrison was the type of student to easily remember what he was taught, he still thought it was a complete and utter waste of time. His sword lessons were what he liked the most, if not for those he wouldn't even bother to attend school. He was wondering how he could get out of going when he was saved from getting into the waiting carriage when his mother approached. "Thank goodness I caught you before you left." She was grinning broadly. "I've just received a message from the Eshe Rehema, Daedalus is awake!" "That's excellent news," Macey moved to hug Harriet. "We should go to the hospital instead, the races can wait." "Actually dear," Harriet said once Macey let go and stepped back, "We'll be picking Daedalus up and then joining you at the races." Her expression one of kindness and yet one of requesting a much needed moment alone for the family. She glanced over at Harrison meaningfully and looked back to see Macey nod. Harriet smiled warmly, she had known that Macey would understand without a word being spoken. "Aww!" Victoria Ann pouted. "But I'd rather go see Uncle Daedalus first!" "Into the carriage with you." Eva prodded, gently pushing her in that direction. "You'd just get underfoot and talk their ears off, you can do that at the races." "I would not!" Victoria Ann protested, but she got into the carriage just the same. Harrison was speechless, not sure what to think as the group got into the carriage and left. Only when Harriet tugged on his sleeve did he finally turn to follow her to the other carriage that was waiting to take the two of them to the hospital. He's really okay? "Lets go Harrison," Harriet said as she climbed into the waiting carriage. With a guilty start Harrison moved to help her before climbing in himself. "Is he really okay?" He asked after the door had been closed and the carriage was on his way. "Of course, it would take more than that to hurt your father." Harrison just nodded, still not trusting himself to speak. The past few days had been utterly confusing in regards to his father. With all that had happened, from getting stranded in New Czenoble, to Leonhart being missing and then presumed dead, getting hugged, having him offer to teach him and then protecting him from the blast. Even now, knowing that he was awake, he still had the oddest feeling in the pit of his stomach, as if he wanted to just cry, though it made no sense to him.
100
The trip to the Eshe Rehema felt like it took forever to Harrison and when the carriage finally pulled up it was all he could do to wait patiently for his mother instead of tearing off at a dead run to where Daedalus' room would be. It was probably just as well since they had barely entered the building when they came across Lady Bavaria, Morphia and Jack who were on their way out. Harrison resisted the urge to scowl at the trio openly, doing so in his mind instead. What are they doing here? "Harriet dear," Lady Bavaria moved to embrace her warmly. "We've just come from visiting Daedalus, I can't tell you how happy I am to see that he's going to be just fine." She let go and moved to do the same to Harrison, but he stepped backwards out of reach and she merely smiled at him, reaching up to brush her hair back out of her eyes instead, as if that had been her intent in the first place. "Will you be joining us at the races?" Harriet inquired of the group, behaving as if Harrison hadn't done anything at all, there was no need to make a scene out of showing sympathy and as far as she was concerned, Bavaria meant well, even if Harrison didn't appreciate it. "Of course," Morphia answered. "I am involved in that after all." "Naturally." Jack answered, his mind clearly elsewhere. "In that case, we wouldn't want to keep you." Harrison said shortly. "I'm sure you'll all want to head back to Rosengard to get cleaned up before you head over." Bavaria just smiled thinly, "How very kind of you Harrison." She nodded to Harriet. "I'll talk to you later dear." And then reaching up to brush yet another stray strand of hair out of her eyes, and she, along with Morphia and Jack were gone. "Good riddance," Harrison muttered once they were out of earshot. "Harrison!" Harriet said sharply. "I know. I know." He apologized, though he didn't feel sorry one bit. "I should be more polite and behave like a gentleman." He rolled his eyes, causing Harriet to just sigh and then smile a bit at seeing him behave a little more like his old self.
100
Harrison came to a halt at the entrance to his father's room in the hospital, Daedalus was already sitting up on the edge of the bed, talking to the attending doctor who was in the process of clearing him to leave. Dawlish was sitting in the chair on the other side of the bed with Nellie leaning up against the wall next to him. Harrison didn't even realize he was blocking the door until Harriet gently nudged him to get him to stand aside so she could enter the room. The doctor turned upon hearing them and moved to greet Harriet, he handed her a sheet of paper. "That has my findings and recommendations Lady Almagest, I see no reason to keep him here at this point. If you have any questions just let me know." "Thank you doctor." Harriet said as she carefully folded up the slip of paper and put it into her pocket. The doctor just nodded and then left. "Oh sweetheart." Harriet laughed softly as she moved to embrace Daedalus, chiding him gently. "Don't be in such a hurry to leave. You wouldn't want us to worry now would you?" "Of course not. I'm fine Harriet, it would take more than that to kill me." He let go and turned to look at Harrison who was standing there, clearly choked up and fighting it. Daedalus just raised his right arm, extending his hand out and with a half startled cry Harrison took those final few steps over to hug him tightly. "I... I..." He stammered a bit as he held on tight. "I thought you were going to..." He couldn't stop the few tears that escaped and ran down his cheeks as he had really thought that his father was not going to get better. "It takes more than that to do the old man in," Dawlish said from the chair on the other side of the bed that he was sitting in. Daedalus, after hugging Harrison in return, pushed him back gently, holding both shoulders in his hands. "I've lived through far worse than that Harrison, all that matters is that you're unharmed." "How about we get out of here and head to the races?" Harriet suggested, breaking the tension that was starting to gather, knowing full well that some time together was what they really needed. "I'm game." Nellie agreed. Harrison reached up and brushed the few embarrassing tears on his cheeks away. "That would be fun actually." He looked almost pleadingly at Daedalus. "If you want to that is." "Of course he does." Dawlish said with an impish grin, causing Daedalus to give him an odd look before he turned back to Harrison and Harriet and nodded.

Jared was feeling rather pleased with how things had gone. The New Alliance's attempt to resist had in the end proven to be futile. It was a shame really, that they had insisted on attempting to stop the fleet, so many had died when it had been unnecessary, and yet at the same time he didn't feel sorry for the fools who had mistakenly backed them in the first place. The last couple of weeks had been spent not only reestablishing Versilan rule, but dealing with all of the work associated with identifying those who had died. Something that had made Crystal short tempered as it often did. Though Jared was more inclined to believe that it was her most recent assignment with Drace than anything else. Drace on the other hand had simply continued with his usual duties, only commenting a few times to indicate how useless Crystal had been and how dealing with the Representatives was beneath a true warrior. Something that though Jared understood the need to have them eliminated, he could relate to. After all, he had done the same when Earth had been taken over. Had those who were considered problematic dealt with. It was hardly a true test of one's skills. "That fool!" Sandra exclaimed, causing Jared to turn and see just what had upset her, along with half of the crew on the bridge since she had spoken louder than usual. "What is it Sandra?" Though her angry expression told him more than anything that it was likely connected to Stevens, no one else seemed to manage to annoy her as much as he did. "Take a look." She sent a file to his terminal for him to read. "Ill be in my quarters if you need anything." Jared was wondering what in the world had her so angry, that is until he read what was in the update from Stevens. It was an update on Darren's assignment in sector four. When the Elite Task Forces assigned to go with him did not check in like they were suppose to and no one answered when he attempted to contact the relay station, Stevens had sent someone from the military in the area to check it out. Not only was the crew of the relay station dead, but they had found the remains of what was believed to be Darren's ship the Wilkey. There were signs that the Elite Task Forces were dead as well. The equipment they had been sent to retrieve was gone and there was no sign of Darren or his crew Mike. Though with the ship being destroyed it was possible that both of them were dead as well. No wonder she's angry. Jared thought as he closed the report. The fact that the mission had been interrupted like that could only mean one of two things. Either one of the researchers from the facility in sector fourteen had told the New Alliance about the transmission or they had a spy in either sector one or in the fleet. Since it was unlikely that the researcher's would have realized that the message got halted in sector four, it was more likely that they had a spy. Though that did not surprise Jared. The only thing they would need to do is determine if it was a leak in sector one or in the fleet. Jared was wondering just which one was more likely when he got an incoming transmission. It was Stevens. "I take it that you have read the report Jared?" "Yes, did you want me to start an investigation? After all for something like that to have happened, someone had to have passed on the information about his assignment to the New Alliance. There's no other way that they could have known about it." "Quite, and yes, I do want you to start looking into it. It could have been leaked from sector one but I'm more inclined to believe that it came from the fleet." Stevens looked annoyed. "I have no proof of that, just a feeling really, and I'm rarely wrong on these things." "I'll get started on it immediately. Have you informed Kerstin yet?" "No, I was wondering if you would do that. You've been working with her all this time and she's still out of sorts after what happened in sector eight." Jared grimaced at the thought of being the one to tell her, she would not be happy. "I can take care of that." He finally replied. "Just make sure to stress the fact that his whereabouts is unknown. I find it unlikely that they would simply kill him. After all the ship had actually landed at the relay station, if they wanted him dead, whoever did it would have simply destroyed his ship immediately." Stevens sighed slightly. "Plus if the information was leaked, they would have known that he's really the only one who would be able to sort the data. Anyway..." "Once you've talked to her we need to go over the strikes that we've prepared. If they really have captured him, we can't afford to wait for the right moment since he would know how to counter the attack." Stevens frowned. "If we wait too long, even though the timing is not the best, we'll lose the ability to even launch it." Jared nodded. "I'll get started immediately then and contact you as soon as I'm done." He ended the transmission and got up to head for the transport room to head over to the Conqueror. He'd take care of Kerstin first, he paused only long enough to check and make sure that she was indeed in her quarters there before he left Drace in charge while he was gone.

"I guess we should take him to his place here in the city?" Alex inquired. "Or does he need someone to keep an eye on him while he recovers?" Adrian tried to shrug his way free of the two helping him but couldn't as he was still too exhausted. "I don't need... someone... to keep an... eye on me!" For a brief second he got the impression that Nathan was laughing at him, even if nothing was said, but the impression was fleeting and he couldn't be sure without turning to see his expression. It was true though, now that the blasted curse was gone, all he needed was time to rest since his own spiritual energy would reverse the damage that had been done. Much in the same way it was doing so for the others, only they hadn't done what he had. Even if he hadn't been cursed, it would have still caused a problem. After all, it wasn't exactly a standard technique that a Shinigami could do. And the curse only made it worse, at least Nathan had been free of it as well as Shalua, since that would have left them free to tackle the Count if they had failed. Though in Adrian's opinion it would have rested on Nathan at that point since Shalua was pretty useless anyway. "I don't suppose you could show me how you did that?" Alex asked almost timidly. "You know, move so quickly?" He gave Adrian a hopeful look. Adrian just gave off a half laugh. "No." He ignored Alex's disappointed look, after all, he couldn't show him even if he wanted to. It simply wasn't possible. He sighed a bit as the two helped him sit down on the steps so he was leaning back against the short stone wall running along side the steps heading into the mansion. It hadn't seemed like much time had passed, but it was already the next day, probably close to noon by how high the sun was. And though he was not claustrophobic, Adrian found the feel of the sunlight pouring down on him rather soothing. I should have Astera open up the curtains at my place once we get back. "Someone needs to inform the others that we recovered Aeru and dealt with the Count." Nall reminded the group as Lucia and the rest finally exited the mansion. Shalua was oddly silent for a change other than to shoot an irritated glance in Astera's direction. A look that she countered by smiling sweetly at her in return. "Send Shalua" Ruby said flippantly. "That way she can actually feel useful for a change." "Ruby!" Lucia admonished her, even as Shalua sputtered over the obvious insult. "Oh come now, she's best suited for it. Adrian can't get back home without help and either Nall or I can simply transform and carry him now that we're outside." She looked over at Nathan. "I've no idea what Nathan wishes to do, but you, Alex, Nall and I can see to Adrian and Astera while those two decide what they want to do." Ruby took off and shimmered into her full form. "If they don't want to deal with the Council then I will once we see to Adrian first." She looked over to Nathan who just offered her the tiniest of nods. "That settles it then. Get moving Shalua before I really give you something to complain about." Shalua shot her an irritated glance before she along with her familiar took to the air and left. Ruby just snorted, still a bit irritated that she had been so damn whiny over being left trapped when it was necessary and not an intended slight towards her. A moment later both Lucia and Alex had helped Adrian up onto her back and she took flight, heading towards the city with both Adrian and Lucia in place. "We'll catch you later Nathan." She said in parting. The last thing Adrian saw was Aeru standing there, still quietly saying nothing. He wondered if she was still furious that Nathan had dealt with all the vampires, including the little girl they had used to get to the Count. He closed his eyes and put it out of mind, eager to be back at his place so he could get some much needed rest.

Well the post has already been deleted, though that's easy enough to fix since I agree, there's no need to outright remove a post when it's easy to work around the misunderstanding in regards to the actual event. So I can restore it if we'd rather do things that way. Your thoughts Sakura? Seriously, for something like that, we don't need to change it. ;) EDIT: I see, still I can simply restore the post if you change your mind.

I just played against Shy and got slaughtered by Hillary no less. XP
And I just played it as Hillary and slaughtered my opponent. Good heavens, something in politics that's actually fun! lol I just love the overly dramatic music as well as all the nifty moves like hatchet job, mudslinging and so forth. We should have some sort of tournament since there's a multi-player mode. It would be interesting to see who slandered their way to the top. :p

I did the school thing last year during spring break. I mindlessly got up and got ready, forgetting that I didn't have to be there. I made it all the way to school before I realized that there wasn't any classes for the rest of the week. I consoled myself by heading back home and getting back under the covers and taking a nice long nap to make up for getting up too early. lol
