Sandra was not expecting the New Alliance to surrender when they dropped out of hyperspace, even with two flagships coming to bear on the small fleet, so far the New Alliance had not been smart enough to back down even when it was painfully clear that they were outmatched. This time around as she gave the order to open fire she couldn’t help but notice that Crystal was not around, nor was Jared as he was overseeing the deployment of the troops once the time for launching them came. I hope the team was able to complete their objectives. It would be up to them to get free of the planet or to steer clear of the invasion. If they got into space, Drace would have the necessary code to broadcast that would identify them as a friendly instead of an enemy. To her utter surprise within a few minutes a signal was received indicating that the fleet along with those on the planet wished to surrender. She ordered a ceasefire, wondering what had happened to change their minds so quickly. Though it could mean that Drace had completed his mission as specified, which would make sense. And yet as she ordered the deployment of the troop transports to head down and take over on the planet, she couldn’t help but feel like something was off a fact that was confirmed when a number of small transport ships departed from the supposedly surrendered New Alliance fleet and made a suicidal run for the troop transports that were passing by. “Target those transports and take them out!” Sandra ordered, even before the scan came back confirming that they were loaded with explosives. Both flagships opened fire at nearly the same time, but they were too late to stop all of them and a number of the transports were hit dead on, coming apart as the approaching ships exploded upon collision. “Damn!” Sandra snarled. “They’ve cut off all communications!” The officer manning the station called out. “The surrender was nothing more than a trick! The fools.” Sandra hissed. “Take them out, disable their ships if you can but take no chances.” “Sandra,” Jared’s voice came over the ear piece she was wearing. “I’m going to continue down to the surface, we can’t risk passing the New Alliance fleet again.” “Understood, I’ll move the Creator into a position to offer you and the others cover,” She said even as entered the command at her terminal issuing the order. “And Jared.” “Yes?” “Be careful.” “Understood.”
100
Copyright I-NetGraFX@DeviantArt Jared had not been expecting the New Alliance to make such a suicidal move and apparently neither had Sandra or Stevens it seemed. And though he had ordered evasive maneuvers just as quickly as possible upon realizing what they were doing and the flagships had opened fired on the approaching ships, it still had not been enough to save all of the transports from being hit. He finished up his communication with Sandra and moved back to focusing on getting the remaining ships down safely, their goal to land as close to the capital as possible. But first he would need to deal with the planetary defenses which would not be powered down as previously expected. It made him glad they were in military transports, even if their firepower was limited. "Create a hole here." He ordered, indicating a section of the defenses. "We'll slip in here and then head for our intended landing point." "Team alpha," Jared contacted the closest battleships to his location. "I need strikes in exactly thirty seconds at these coordinates." He sent the data to the team lead for the five battleships. "Understood sir, will do." Jared waited and then smiled when ships broke off briefly to turn and fire their disruptor's at the same spot in the planetary defenses. Within moments the automated stations and guns were taken out. Jared issued the order to head down immediately, ignoring the shots coming their way as the New Alliance tried to stop the transports before having to turn and deal with the Creator as it came into range and began to mercilessly attack the ships closest to the transports. Jared turned and looked at the readout of the capitol, bringing up a closer view on the main screen, zooming in and taking a look. Already he could see that the overhead transport lines were in heavy use as it was obvious that they were still attempting to shift enough troops there to defend the area. "Take out the transport lines," He indicated the massive structures held up by huge metal columns. "What about the civilians sir?" The gunner asked, indicating the buildings down below since taking out the transport system would result in it collapsing and crushing those down on the surface. "They should have thought of that before they deceived us with their false surrender," Jared said coldly. "Now is not the time to question my orders, open fire at once." "Of course," He stammered, "I'm sorry sir." He turned and quickly input the command. Targeting one support and then another. The sound of the missiles launching was deafening as it first headed out and then blazed with disruptor energy right before striking, sending up a huge ball of flames at the base of each support. One by one, the transports targeted each support until finally the whole system around the capitol collapsed, the huge massive tubes crushing the buildings below as they came down, sending debris and smoke everywhere. A moment later and the transports had landed and the troops began to spill forth, pausing only for the briefest of moments to receive instructions from Jared. Prepped in combat armor, Jared turned to the group that was closest to him. "Move out!" He ordered, his headset sending the order to everyone there, as well as the other the teams who had been briefed as to which section they were to take. Jared smiled when with a roar the troops swarmed the capitol.

I agree, the third picture works the best in my opinion. Also, Harrison is still a brat so my picture will not change. Oh and I agree Lector needs a picture, after all Harrison and Victoria will be giving him some serious grief in the coming days. :p

When his father had spoken up telling everyone to evacuate Rosengard, of all things Harrison would have never expected him to say that insurgents were targeting the home. For one thing, it made no sense to him, how could something like that happen? After all his father always made sure that there were security forces present during any large gathering at Rosengard. Even if it was more to break up any unruly behavior or to keep unwanted guests out, it should have been enough to prevent such a thing, shouldn't it? His thoughts scattered as the guests began to leave but instead of following along he moved so that he was partially hidden behind one of the many sculptures in the room, waiting until most of the guests were gone. He started to move out to head for his father to see what was really going on when he over heard him talking to Beatriste and Harriet about a bomb in the wine-cellar. A bomb?! How in the world did someone manage to get a bomb into Rosengard? He was so lost in thought at the inconceivable idea of something like that happening that he didn't notice when his father Daedalus left nor when his mother Harriet spied him and came over to firmly grab a hold of his right ear, causing him to yelp in surprise when she pulled him out from behind the sculpture. "Harrison Almagest!" She said sharply as she let go of his ear and latched onto his right sleeve. "That will be enough of your lurking and not following your father's orders." She started dragging him along with her towards the main entrance to Rosengard. "But Mom!" He started to protest only to have her turn and glare at him. "No buts young man! You heard your father, it's far to dangerous for anyone to remain at Rosengard right now." She continued down the hallway, showing a surprising amount of strength as she practically dragged Harrison out the front doors. Harrison could tell by the look in her eyes that there would be no discussion as to what he should do. What seemed like a million things ran through his mind at that moment, wondering if someone had told Victoria Ann and the others in the library, was it even possible for his father to stop a bomb. What if people didn't get out in time or his father failed? As if sensing his thoughts Harriet tightened her grip but Harrison pulled free just the same. "I have to do something, I can't just leave!" Though what he could do, he wasn't sure of. He apologized as he turned to leave, nearly running over Beatriste who had the younger children, Pearl and Bertram with her. As he entered the doors to the estate he heard Beatrise telling Harriet to stay put, at that point he started to run. Knowing full well that neither one of them would be able to catch him. What's the matter with them? I'm old enough to make my own decisions! It didn't take Harrison long to find the wine-cellars but to his utter surprise, no one was there, had he heard wrong? He was wondering what to do when he remembered that Leonhart had his own private stash. He turned and dashed back up the stairs and headed for the other cellar, pausing at the entrance when he realized that there was blood on the floor, leading out of the cellar. My god! What happened? He took off as quickly as possible down the stairs. "There. Now take a look." It was Macey, what was she doing there? "Did that take care of it?" It was Jack. "I doubt it." Daedalus said. "There would be no point in using that technology if it were that simple to disarm it." Harrison was so intent on what they were saying that he was at the bottom of the stairs before he realized it, too late to stop his momentum as he literally ran into his father from behind, causing him to stagger and then turn around to see what had just run into him.

I can just imagine how often the poor old man is going to be mistaken for the boy's grandfather though...:animesigh
It's his fault for getting Harriet pregnant. And considering that she was getting on in years, it must have surprised the hell out of everyone at Rosengard. :p Anyway, I'm working on that post I mentioned Gavin, it should be up in the next hour, so at that point you can sail in and finish up. Saving everyone and Rosengard from Lady Bavaria's complete and utter stupidity.

And speaking of plots and plans... I'd like to request that the bomb is not taken care of before I post. Gavin and I have discussed something that I will be doing first with Harrison that he will be tying into his post when he finally takes care of the bomb. My post won't go up until later tonight or early tomorrow though. EDIT: And to be clear I will not be disarming the bomb, Gavin will. But for my post to work best it's important that the bomb is still a threat.

Aren't you the clever one. Adrian thought as he watched the Count who was now hanging back, favoring his shoulder where Adrian had skewered him with his scythe. Leaving the fight up to the skeletal creatures that he had summoned. They should have been easy to dispatch, but being armed with the same dark energy that the Count possessed made them a formidable opponent and so far they had only managed to deal with one, taking numerous hits in the process. The protection boost from Ruby and Nall was wearing thin and with it only slowing the curse, even reapplying it would do nothing more than buy a little more time since with each application, they would still be getting weaker and weaker. I have to end this. He thought as his eyes met those of the Count, a half smile playing across his face. He thinks he's won. Though if he didn't do something and soon they really would lose to the Count. But he couldn't see a way to get past the other two creatures in time to make a difference. Adrian blocked the downswing from one of the creatures, coming up underneath with his right scythe, sending it staggering backwards. I don't have a choice. He thought grimly. Even if it kills me in the process I have to stop him. He moved to the right until he was nearly touching Lucia who was alternating between sheets of the flames and swings of her scythe in an attempt to get past the creatures guard. "I need you and Aeru to cover for me." He said as he casually leaped up in time to give her a clear path to strike the second one that had come up behind him. He twisted a bit until he was coming down full force, digging his scythes into the creature's head. Bones snapped as part of the skull broke off and Adrian landed on the floor behind it. He quickly ran flames through the opening to burn it to ashes from the inside out. "What are you going to do?" Lucia asked as she moved so they were back to back when the Count summoned more to replace the ones they had just dispatched. A moment later Aeru joined them. "That damn coward." She spat even as she braced herself before launching in the air to nimbly come down on the top of one with her left foot. Jumping off and flipping in mid-air as she twisted and slashed the thing nearly in half as she landed in front of it. Sending blue fire racing from her fingers to tear it apart. "You'll see." Adrian said with a smirk. "Wait!" Lucia called out, puzzled by the odd look in his eyes, but other than to realize that he was heading over to where the others were she whirled to face yet another of the creatures since she didn't have time to watch what he was doing. What is he up to? Somehow, his look chilled her, making her wonder what he was going to do. Adrian didn't have to tell Astera why he had come, she merely fluttered over after putting Nevril to sleep and settled on his right shoulder. He ignored Alex's questions, as well as Ruby's and Nall's knowing looks. He couldn't help but laugh a bit. Even if they didn't fully understand it, they weren't about to say anything. He was sure they knew or at least partially understood what he was up to. "Are you sure Adrian?" Astera finally asked as he walked away from Alex and back towards the others. "In your state, if I do what you want. It might kill you." "Even if I wasn't affected, it could still kill me, and if we do nothing, we'll die." He pointed out. "Well true." Astera looked away and sighed. "If it's the only way, then there's not much we can do about it." She looked back. "Just make sure you kill that bastard!" "That's my intent." He assured her. "Very well then." Astera closed her eyes and then a moment later the world around Adrian seemed to slow, at first it was a simple matter to move through it, watching on as the others seemed to have come to a halt, but then within a few steps pain seized his whole body, nearly sending him to the floor. Hell! This is worse than I expected! He thought as he fought to stay standing. He forced himself to continue moving towards the Count one step at a time. Already he could see him attempting to shatter what Astera had done his movements painfully slow due to her influence. He raised both scythes and with every bit of strength he had left he pinned the Count to the wall. He started to laugh and then cough violently as he grasped the Count's tunic and poured the blue flames into him recklessly, until his vision grayed and he fell to his knees as the world seemed to move again. Adrian just wavered there on his knees, staring blankly at the Count, he couldn't have moved if he wanted to. The only question on his mind... was it enough? As if in slow motion the Count fell over to land on his right side, a stunned look on his face. "That's... not... possible..." He choked and then grimaced in pain as he attempted to get back up only to fall back again and then fix Adrian with a look of pure hatred as both Lucia and Aeru moved in to finish him off. Recklessly pouring their own flames into him as well. A moment later, when the flames cleared, all that was left was ashes. Adrian laughed again and then coughed even more violently, doubling over in pain as blood came up, pouring onto the stone floor. He felt the hands of Lucia and Aeru trying to help him and their distant voices asking if he was alright when the spat of coughing ended. He tried to shake them off only to realize he lacked the strength. Oh well. He thought as he quit resisting their efforts to move him over so he was sitting against the wall. At least the Count is dead. He looked over at Astera who was still sitting on his shoulder and gave her the tiniest of smiles. Already he could feel the curse breaking and before long he would have his strength back. I wonder if Nathan is still alive?

The OtakuBoards Nifty Fifty: 07 Edition(Nominate or Die)
Horendithas replied to Justin's topic in General Discussion
I'm sure I'll have more later, but this will do for a start: Who is it? 2008DigitalBoy & Premonition Why are they nifty? They?re like the yin and yang of self obsession and attention seeking members at OB. And yet together they are so ridiculous at times that you can?t help but laugh at them. They bring a lot of needed hilarity to the boards in the form of the Rat Boy along with his faithful follower. Who is it? GuyYouMetOnline Why is he nifty? He?s an often overlooked active player who helps to keep the Theater alive with much needed participation and dedication to the rpg?s he?s a part of. He, along with many of the oldie rpgers, are what keep the Theater going strong. Who is it? Newbies Why are they nifty? Because without them OB would have died and faded to ashes long ago. They are the very life blood of OB. From those silly spammers who give the moderators work to do, to those who continue on and become quality contributors to the site. We?d be lost without you. What is it? Views on self pleasure Why is it nifty? Because it was one of the weirdest threads posted last year. That and watching teenage boys talking about masturbation was funnier than hell. -

Anyway, I will post about Gadget's time at Vincent's place soon. I'll try to steer away from X-rated stuff... ;P
*laughs at the idea of x-rated material in a thread that Kathy is a part of* Seriously, that would be like doing so for my own mom, in other words, hell would freeze over first. Heh. Anyway, I'm curious as to whether or not Dame Anna and Henry really are moving their things to Alecia's and Alexander's place since I can't see Bavaria backing down even to Daedalus. And I would imagine she'll give orders to never allow Alecia or Alexander in Rosengard as well. Though she wouldn't be able to stop Alexander if he was on official RPG business. :p Still knowing how that plays out will make a difference as to how Harrison behaves in the upcoming days. So if you could clarify that for me I'd appreciate it.

He tried to find Victoria Ann, but after a short while, Harrison figured he must have taken a wrong turn as she was no where to be found. "That little idiot! Running off like that!" He muttered, unwilling to admit that it was because he was worried about her being off somewhere crying by herself. He couldn't help but chuckle over what she had done though, he knew all about the back talk in regards to his so called Aunt Bavaria. About how she loathed Dame Anna and Henry and much like that fool Lector Moebius she was apparently not above being hateful and spiteful. She could have easily dealt with that in private instead of making a public issue of it only for the purpose of humiliating them. Even if what she said was correct, it wasn't Henry's fault. "If I was in charge, I'd kick her out!" Harrison snarled in frustration as he began to wonder what he should do, by now the wake was in full swing and he still had not found Victoria Ann. "Young Master," A female voice said, causing Harrison to turn sharply in surprise. "You need to get to the wake, I believe your father is looking for you." Harrison just groaned, "I need to find Victoria Ann first," He started to explain but the young servant finished for him. "Oh no need to worry about that, we took her to the library, she's with Alecia, Macey and Eva." "Good," Harrison said as he turned to head for the library only to halt when the servant caught his left sleeve. He looked back, surprised that they had stopped him. "Please, I know that Lady Bavaria is hardly fit to even grace Rosengard with her presence," the servant said with a sneer. "But you can't let her get the best of you and your father would appreciate it if you showed up. Do it for him." They let go of his sleeve. Harrison looked at them for a moment and then sighed. "Fine, just make sure Victoria Ann is taken care of." "Of course!" With another sigh he headed for the main room where the people would be gathering for the wake. What I'd rather do is kick her like Victoria Ann did. He thought as he entered the room, trying to hide his distaste at what was obviously more of a tasteless social function instead of a wake. "Ah so there you are my boy." A voice boomed out as a hand grasped his shoulder. Harrison turned to see Lector Moebius standing there. What the hell is he doing here? Who the hell invited him? He was trying to figure out what to say when he wanted to tell the man to go to hell when he was saved from needing to say anything by his father's voice. "If you'll excuse us, I need to talk to my son." He said coldly causing Moebius to stammer out a brief of course and scurry away. Harrison turned to face his father and paused at how he looked, noting how he seemed much paler. "What's the matter with you? You look like you're coming down with something." "I'm fine Harrison," Daedalus shrugged it off. "Now what I wanted to talk to you about is setting up some time for me to instruct you personally." What the? Harrison was startled. First the hug and now this? Since when did father have time to do anything with me? He hadn't realized that he had gone completely still and silent until Daedalus spoke up again. "Well? Would you like to do that?" "Uh..." Harrison stammered a bit. "Yes. If you have time that is." "I'll make time." Daedalus assured him, leaving Harrison to wonder just what was going on that would prompt him to actually make time for him. He had never done so before. It was, to say the least, unsettling.

Just to be clear on the time issue. My post where the fleet is a few days out from the main world in sector eight is happening at the same time Daniel is talking to Valencia and Williams. Even though we didn't post the details, the difference in time is due to the time spent in sector seven reestablishing Versilan rule. Those New Alliance scum, daring to think they should govern themselves. :p
-
It had been just over a week since they had stopped at the border between sector seven and eight, spending a day to receive orders and confer with the High Council back in sector one. Plans had been made, orders issued and people sent on their way. By now Dr. Crystal Matheson and Sub-Commander Vallon Drace would be at the main world in sector eight. Unless they ran into trouble in the Tarak Asteroid fields, they would have arrived earlier that morning. There was no way for them to find out since most of Stevens? agents on that world had been eliminated. The only thing they could be certain of was that no ships had left the area since there were forces in place to report such an occurrence. And in three days, they would have their answer anyway since the fleet would arrive, unless they had somehow managed to sneak in more ships, it would be a slaughter if the New Alliance did not surrender. Considering how they had refused to do so in sector seven, Jared had, along with Sandra and Stevens, prepared for battle and for taking the world by force. ?I wonder if Crystal and Drace arrived on time?? Jared muttered to himself. He was sitting in his chair on the bridge, close to Sandra though he wasn?t really addressing her. ?We?ll find out soon enough.? Sandra answered him, her eyes meeting his when he turned to look at her. ?True. It?s a pity that I am here though.? ?Are you still thinking about that Jared?? Sandra sounded slightly annoyed. ?It?s not like you to dwell on decisions you do not care for.? ?You may not be so forward about who you care about but I have always made it clear that I care about what happens to Crystal.? He leaned forward a bit. ?I understand the decision, much in the same way you understand Darren?s assignment. And like you, I don?t like it.? Uncomfortable with where the conversation had suddenly headed, Sandra looked away. ?We are often at odds with what our duty requires of us.? She finally said softly. ?Anyone who achieves a certain level of authority has to come to grips with accepting assignments they abhor, as well as issuing them as well.? Jared just turned back to his own terminal since he still needed to finish arranging the troop deployments should they be necessary for battle. If they were lucky they wouldn?t need to take the world by force. There were a lot of people on the world who though they supported the New Alliance, they were in his opinion, merely misguided and it would be a shame to lose good men to fools like that. ?Speaking of assignments, are the strikes that were prepared in sector seven ready for deployment against the New Alliance?? ?Not quite, Stevens wants to wait until the data in sector four is recovered first. It?s a given that the New Alliance is going to release what was in the third research project and it is imperative that we know what is in that data so we can be prepared when it happens.? Jared snorted, ?In other words we need to know if there is any propaganda or information added that was not in the original research project.? He turned to look at her again. ?Even if we have that information, it?s still going to create quite a stir when it becomes public. To tell the truth I?m surprised that they haven?t released the information already.? ?I don?t know why they are waiting.? Sandra shrugged a bit. ?It doesn?t matter though. In the interest of expediting matters Stevens had the original prototype engine for the Messenger Ships installed in Darren?s ship since there aren?t any Elite Specialists who are free to see to the matter.? ?That?s surprising, considering that we lost both ships that use the perfect crystal system. I would have thought he?d rather put that into a Messenger Ship.? Jared couldn?t hide his reaction to the news, it was startling. But then Stevens often did things that surprised everyone. ?Even if we lost the Catalyst and the Transcendence, we still have the research data and several consignments of the perfect crystals needed. Instead of wasting time on the older engine, Stevens has a group working on setting things up so we can simply upgrade the Messenger ships like the Catalyst was. Why else would he have pulled our original Sub-Commander from active duty?? Jared laughed a bit. ?Well that explains a lot. I wondered what project could be so important that they?d shift him out of active duty at a time like this.? ?Exactly, and since our military is thinly spread in some areas it was better to simply upgrade his ship since it was available. Darren had the best you could get for a civilian ship so it was the best option.? She sighed a bit. ?Even if I don?t agree with it on a personal level.? Jared just offered her a lopsided smile before turning back to finishing the preparations for taking back sector eight. The sooner they got there and picked up Crystal, the better.

It took Sena a moment to realize that he was lying sprawled out, partially on his right side with debris covering his legs. A voice was yelling at him but at the moment it made no sense as he stared blankly at the grass, his right cheek pressed firmly into the ground. And then as if someone had tossed cold water on him things snapped in place, the voice making sense once more. Sena! Wake up Sena! It was the red stone of destruction, urging him on. With a slight groan he struggled to get up, shoving the chunks of cement off of his legs, ignoring the tears in his pants and the pain from the cuts and bruises. He started to get up only to realize that something was lodged in his right leg. It was a bit of wire, the type that ran through the cement. With a tiny grimace he pulled it free and then tossed the bloody wire aside. The sun had set completely as he finally stood up, a bit shaky on his feet from being battered and tossed by the explosion when he countered the storm Sandra had called up. The remaining twilight was fading fast but it didn?t take him long to spot her. She was lying further up the stadium at the southern end, sprawled across the steps going up on her back with her left leg caught up underneath her. She was already starting to stir in an attempt to get back up. I can?t let her do that. He thought as he started moving towards her location, a little slowly at first and then picking up speed. I can?t let her recover. It was a sentiment that the red stone agreed with, though for a different reason. The stone was urging him to finish her and quickly while he was still thinking of finally pinning her down so he could have the pleasure of torturing her to death. Especially since all he had to do was be quick enough to get her while she was still clearly disorientated from the blast. He readied a wave of the shards of darkness, sending them flying, intending to pin her to the ground. To his surprise they bounced off of her shield, he hadn?t realized that she had seen him. But as Sandra finished sitting up and turned to look at him, he realized that she hadn?t. She had simply been cautious enough to raise her shields anyway. ?Damn!? He swore as this time he readied a more lethal shot of the Infernal Arc. ?You?re not getting away from me!? He snarled as he attacked again and again until Sandra was finally smashed to the ground, half unconscious. Stop fooling around! Finish her Sena! ?Stop telling me what to do!? Sena said through clenched teeth even as he reached forward with his left hand to send the hellish energy arching into Sandra, making sure that she really was half out of it. A fact that was confirmed when other than to stir and moan a bit, the attack had no effect at all. Sena continued walking towards her, feeling dizzy and light headed. Be careful, that last attack took a lot out of you. The red stone cautioned. I know. Sena replied even as he halted when a wave of dizziness forced him to his knees. Not now! Not when I?m so close! He reached up pressing his hands into his temples in an effort to steady himself. I will not lose!

Though that shock was wearing off and as Alecia left he could see the smoldering anger building in Morphia’s eyes as she watched Alecia leave, starting to move in her direction only to halt when Jack put his hand on her shoulder. “How dare she!” Morphia said angrily towards Aleica. “If anyone is without honor it's that whore Dame Anna who thinks she belongs at Rosengard.” “Not here Morphia, we’ll take care of this once we return to Rosengard.” His voice was soft, but not soft enough to keep Harrison and Victoria Ann from hearing it as they weren’t that far from where they were standing. He was wondering what Jack meant when he nearly jumped out of his skin when his father Daedalus grabbed both of them by the shoulders. “Come along you two.” He steered both of them to one of the carriages that was waiting, taking a moment to see to Harriet first before climbing in with them. “I don’t understand uncle Daedalus, why does Grandmother hate Dame Anna and Henry?” “Don’t worry about it dear,” Harriet said kindly, looking over to Daedalus before looking back. “Sometimes when you lose a loved one, you say things you don’t mean.” “Oh please mother,” Harrison snorted. “Everyone knows how much Bavaria hates Dame Anna and Henry.” “And that will be enough,” Daedalus interjected. “This sort of thing can wait until after Leonhart’s wake.” Both Harrison and Victoria Ann looked down and mumbled a yes sir, saying nothing else on the trip back to Rosengard, simply getting out and heading towards the house once they arrived while Daedalus hung back to help Harriet out of the carriage. Bavaria had already arrived and was clearly angry about something as Harrison and Victoria saw both Jack and Morphia moving to join her after exiting their carriage. Curious as to what was going on Harrison and Victoria Ann edged close enough to overhear what was being said. “Surely you’re not going to say nothing sister. Granddaughter or not Alecia had no right to speak to you like that.” Morphia said coldly. “It can’t be helped,” Bavaria said, “That home wreaker has obviously poisoned their minds against me, once she’s gone it will sort itself out.” “It’s still wrong sister, as his widow you have every right to get rid of that woman.” Jack said. They were moving to head towards where the wake would be held when a shrill voice called out, “She’s not a home wrecker! You are!” Startled everyone turned to see Victoria Ann heading toward the group, a look of anger on her tiny face, and to the surprise of everyone there, especially Harrison, she outright kicked Bavaria in the shins. “I hate you!” Victoria Ann screamed only to grunt as Harrison grabbed her and pulled her back. “Victoria, don’t do that.” He said with a pained expression, even though he would have loved nothing better than to do the same. “You horrid little brat!” Morphia started to move forward but Jack put his hand on her shoulder. “She’s just a kid,” He told her before turning to Victoria Ann. “Don’t stick your nose into matters between adults kiddo, you can’t possibly understand what you are saying here.” “Please behave more like a lady Victoria Ann,” Bavaria said a bit coldly, limping a tiny bit where Victoria had kicked her. “That’s a laugh! You telling me to behave like a lady when you don’t even know what the word means!” Victoria snarled as she tried to pry herself free of Harrison’s grasp. “That will be enough!” A loud voice boomed, startling all of them. With a guilty start Victoria Ann shook herself free of Harrison and turned to see Daedalus standing there, a look of displeasure on his face. “All of you will save this discussion until after Leonhart’s wake! Now move!” He started to usher the children towards where the wake would be but Victoria Ann burst into tears and turn and ran away. A moment latter Harrison gave him a pained look, muttered a sorry dad under his breath before he too took off after Victoria Ann.

I have a slight problem with the slew of posts that have cropped up between yesterday and today. That problem manifests itself in how Bavaria's siblings sit idly by as their sister is insulted. I simply have a hard time believing they would just watch. No matter how wrong she was, they're not going to let her get spat at and 'watch apathetically' or simply do nothing. I'm sure that you put alot of effort into your posts and for the most part they're good, however I can't suspend my disbelief that far. I may come off as rude, but I mean no offense. I'm also not asking for an edit, but rather in the future to be more thoughtful of the fact that there is a flip side to the coin and she does have people on her side. I didnt expect the dinner to be done before I had a chance to post, but I will be posting in the next few days. Can Jack give Henry a proper thrashing?
Hmmm... and here I was under the impression that people were shocked at Alecia's outburst and the fight in general instead of idly standing by. Before we worry about it, how about you all wait and see what I do with my post with Harrison, Victoria Ann, Daedalus, Bavaria, Jack and Morphia. It's going to get ugly since obviously by the time they get back to Rosengard I would think that Bavaria's siblings would be furious over what Alecia just did. In fact I'm planning on portraying it in that respect. I'm actually working on that post right now and I expect to have it up later tonight. EDIT: And it's up, if anyone wants me to tweak it I will, other than Bavaria getting kicked in the shins, that was Aaryanna's idea so if you want it out, you'll have to convince her that it should go since she knows how her character would respond better than I would. Also, I tried to tie things in a bit so Morphia and Jack weren't being passive but rather simply restrained.

Oh, and I really don't want to hear any more about this game being "boring" or "tedious" (got enough of that during Ragnarok anyway).
If you don't want to hear it then don't start an rpg.
If you guys really feel that way, it must be only because you haven't done anything about it. I'm having fun developing my character, why don't you have fun with yours as well? What's holding you back? I mean, c'mon! There's a whole fantasy world created for you to explore! ;D
Now that's going to make me feel motivated, telling me I haven't done anything about it when I have been working with other players to make things happen. If I wasn't having fun I would have simply quit posting instead of tell you I felt like it was bogged down by the social aspect.
If it's just the slow pace that's bothering you, then the issue is already being addressed.
That is the gist of what I was saying... remember? 130+ posts and only two and a half days? At that rate it's going to take forever to finish even a week in the time frame of the rpg.
I just feel frustrated when all I get to read is threats that people are losing their interest and getting bored. There are other ways to express that something needs to be done aside of negation, you know? ;D So instead of "I'm getting bored, why doesn't this game move forward?" try "I'm having so much fun that I want to move on with the plot!". Even if it's pretentious, it'll make one Sandy very happy. XD
I don't make threats I simply tell you what I think, if I really was completely bored or not interested I wouldn't bother to post. lol And I did say I wanted to move things along quicker, you're focusing on the other aspects and missing that I'm saying I feel like the dragging/pace/etc is what is making it seem boring. :p
This might be because I have a better idea of where things are headed ///snip/// Edit: As for my need for the timeline to fit up perfectly, I can't help it. It's a pet peeve of mine, and I think the story flows much better when everyone's posts are more or less set at the same time.
I think that contributes to it. You know far more about where we are going so it's easier for you to see the progress since you know what's around the corner. As for the time line, if that's something that you prefer then I don't have an issue. It's pretty easy for me to keep track of that kind of stuff, but at the same time if you don't like it then you don't. Some people are like that, I'm just not one of them so I find it odd when people prefer it.

Stop berating other's choices and the rest of you stop defending those choices and use the report post button or pm one of the moderators with your concerns. I'd like to bring up a concern that I have right about now, and that's how the socializing going on here is in my opinion, dragging out to the point where it's bogging the rpg down. I mean seriously. We have 130+ posts and haven't even gotten through three days in the actual story line of the rpg. To be frank it's kind of boring and tedious since it feels like we aren't going anywhere. I'll spell it out... I had an idea that I wanted to include but I "have to wait until after the dinner" (how many dinners will there be?!) We can still have the social aspect but we need to be free to push time forward more. I feel that this is a legitimate concern because I find it tedious how that aspect weights so heavily into the rpg at this point. And to be blunt, it's starting to get boring as well.

Things had taken an unexpected turn for Jared as he had not expected to have direct contact with both Celestia and Jason, but upon overhearing Kenath speaking to Celestia he had intervened instead of simply waiting in Kenath?s office for him to finish. After all it was clear that Drace was blatantly ignoring the orders surrounding the two, or he had not bothered to truly look though their files. Normally he would ignore it, but doing so would have set a precedent of ignorantly dismissing the orders of the High Council and that, in Jared?s opinion was unacceptable. Drace had yet to be a Sub-Commander on a flagship for long and already Jared was far from amused at his inability to follow orders that he did not care for, or rather it seemed that he did not, Jared didn't really know. But then he was not the one responsible for choosing him. One thing was certain though, with the recent assignment sending him along with his assistant Pheonia Roth and Crystal Matheson in advance to sector eight, if anything happened to Crystal? Jared would personally make sure Drace regretted it. But for now, Jared simply smiled inwardly over the memory of Celestia and Jason?s reaction to seeing him for the first time since they had been recaptured. It did not surprise him, after all he had not been finished with the interrogations surrounding them as well as Daniel Landers when the Resistance had managed to rescue all three of them. And Celestia, even though quite intelligent, was ignorant of just how absolute the orders from the High Council were. They would not understand that any officer who took their career seriously, would never truly go against their orders. ?I still say you should have sent me instead of Vallon Drace.? Jared said as he entered Sandra?s quarters, having just come from his meeting with the main Computer Specialist, Kenath. Sandra turned to face Jared since she had not bothered to do so when he entered. ?And I still say you don?t look like Elania?s assistant and unlike Drace, you are far to well known.? ?And you think Drace isn?t? Especially after that stunt he pulled in sector seven?? Jared said incredulously as he moved to join Sandra who was still standing by the view of space, neatly between her office and the kitchen area of her quarters. He ignored her tiny flash of irritation. ?You know perfectly well that Drace is well suited for this assignment, even if he seems to consider it beneath him.? Sandra turned her back on Jared. ?If you really have a problem with it, you should be taking it up with Stevens instead of me, after all, that fool.? Her voice took on a sharp edge. ?Was given the final say for that and more. The majority of the High Council agrees with him, my objections were overruled.? Jared laughed, causing Sandra to whirl and glare at him, he choked a bit at her serious expression and brought his laughter under control. ?Come on Sandra, do you really want me to spell it out for you? How long are you going to continue to say nothing when anyone with a bit of intelligence and observation can see how you really feel?? He continued when Sandra simply turned with a sigh and looked back out into space. ?It?s obvious that Stevens can see it, why else would he have done what he has and will do? Until you take the initiative and step forward and publicly state what you think, he will continue to do things just to annoy you.? ?I know that!? Sandra snapped. ?But even if I made a motion or came forward with how I feel, it won?t change the assignment that Stevens has in mind for him.? She fell silent and then continued softly. ?There?s also another problem that prevents me from saying anything.? ?You haven?t told him how you feel, have you?? Jared guessed and then sighed slightly when Sandra shook her head. ?Sandra, you can?t afford to hesitate, especially not now.? He grabbed her by the shoulder and turned her around so she was facing him again, the uncertainty in her eyes obvious. ?How can I?? She finally said. ?Stevens hasn?t even told him about what happened to Kerstin, or about the mission with Crystal, Drace and his assistant. He has restricted all communications with him on all levels including me.? ?I see.? Jared let go of her shoulders. ?I knew he was restricting the rest, but not that it included you as well. In that case I suggest that you say something as soon as you can.? Jared reached up in an uncharacteristic display of concern, brushing her hair back a bit as he gently brushed her cheek with his right thumb. ?Why else did you think I never went beyond teasing? Even though he tried my patience at times?? He let his hand drop. ?I?? Sandra was speechless. ?How long have you known?? She finally asked as she fought to keep herself from getting emotional. Jared just smiled kindly. ?Since both of you were imprisoned by the Resistance on Earth. To someone who doesn?t know you it was not apparent, but your barely concealed concern was easy to see.? Jared stepped back. ?I need to go and start getting things ready for retaking sector eight. With Drace gone, I will need to make sure all of the preparations are taken care of.? He smirked a bit. ?It shouldn?t be too hard since my interrogation with Chevast is pretty much finished. He broke so easily, it was almost embarrassing to see.? Jared gave her the half bow that she was due when Sandra did not reply and turned and then left her quarters. Leaving Sandra to turn and go back to looking out at the view and to thinking about what to do about how things were going. Jared was right, she needed to say something, as soon as it was possible.
Nearby, Indifference was coolly dispatching any lawyers that popped up over the hedge with her blowgun
It's like whack a mole, and I do find this rather ironic since my own father is a retired lawyer no less. :p Hmmm as for ideas, if you do go with Naps the Cat, should that somehow get weaved into the madness of this story... I volunteer to step on the feline and put it out of it's misery. Unless by chance people like the feline, in which case I'll merely roll my eyes and laugh. As for real ideas, I have none, other than Sandy still needs to attempt his revenge so we can lock him in a room full of screaming fan girls. Just imagine Shy's reaction if he were to attempt to toss the cheesecake aside on the grounds that it wasn't made properly.

Where Sandra was clearly frightened and fighting to hide how much pain she was in, Sena however, along with the red stone of destruction was basking in the sweet rush of pleasure that was to be had in others pain as well as their own. Unless a wound was crippling, the pain served as a means to only make the experience more enjoyable. Like a sweet intoxication, the more pain, destruction and misery that was caused, the more both of them craved it. Even the red stone had fallen silent, it?s objections to Sena not finishing her off quickly, coming to an end as it too radiated with an unholy joy over the prospect of doing even more to Sandra. You?ve become rather quiet. Sena mocked the stone as he focused on reforming the chain of decadence, feeling the slivers of the power coming back at his mental call. A moment later it?s familiar weight settled into his right hand. Sandra?s attack though powerful enough to free her from being bound was far from enough to truly destroy the binding chain. You enjoy this more than I do and you know it. He laughed inwardly as he sent a wave of the shards of darkness to impact on Sandra?s shields while simultaneously lashing out with the chain to test the edges of her barrier, looking for a spot to slip in. He dodged the small globes of pure white she sent his way even as he circled around her, alternating between the shards and the dark energy of the infernal arc, an opening would come, he could sense it as he kept pressing the attack, staying just far enough back to avoid the storm she had called upon earlier and to keep avoiding her own attacks. Then, just as he knew it would, a dual attack resulted in the chain slipping though a weak spot in her shield, following his mental guidance as the end wrapped itself around her neck. Frantically she reached up in an effort to get free but Sena just smiled and expertly pulled it free, catching the collar of her tattered shirt and ripping it free with a single tug. Sena laughed out loud at her startled gasp as she instinctively put her hands in front of her even though she still was covered by her bra, though it too suffered from minor tears from when she had unleashed the attack to get free from the chain moments ago. With yet another grin he sent the chain flying yet again, this time wrapping it around her waist and then pulling it free again only to rip off the rest of her outfit, leaving her standing there, glaring at him with a mixture of disgust, fear and outrage over having been left with nothing but her underwear and her socks and shoes. Finish her! Take her now! The red stone cried, eager for Sena to destroy her. ?Pathetic,? Sena chided, ignoring the stone and focusing on Sandra who was moving away, clearly looking in vain for something to cover herself with. But even though the west side of the stadium was in deep shadows as the sun finished setting, it was clear that there was nothing around for her to use. ?Are you really so bothered by something as simple as clothing? Weak.? He took the tattered remains of his own jacket cloak and tossed it aside. ?What not good enough?? He taunted at her disgusted look. ?How?s this?? He removed his shirt as well and tossed it aside. ?You?re starting to bore me.? Sena said coldly, even though he did not mean it. If anything he was enjoying seeing the damage he had done, the cuts, bruises and burn marks from the infernal arc could be clearly seen all over her body. All he needed now was to immobilize her and finish the job one step at a time, so he could savor each and every scream of pain she made. He smiled as he moved to attack her again.

The best side of it is, and sorry if this offends anyone, that it's nigh impossible for the Americans to make a poorer choice than at the last few times. XP
You might be surprised by how many of us agree with this, however, I do have the pleasure of saying I did not vote for the jackass who is currently serving as president. So you can't really say I made a poor choice. Remember, elected into office doesn't mean everyone actually voted for Bush. Only that enough did for him to get the job. I remind you of this since a good 59 million Americans voted for the other guy and not Bush, so that's quite a few who didn't make that poor choice as it were. :p
