All Rachmaninoff did was ask if you would help or not.
You're correct but at the same time... you're going off on the same tangent you're accusing others of doing as well. At this point, I'm going to remind everyone to get back on topic and quit nitpicking other people's posts apart. Or analyzing them and attempting to play mod. If anyone thinks a post is out of line use the report post button in the top right hand corner of the post please. Otherwise, it's not that hard to answer the original question without the unnecessary expressions of disbelief over what others have said. As for the actual topic, I work with victims of domestic violence as part of my job so in all honesty once I'm done for the day I'm often too tired to give a damn if someone else is in need. It's tiring and draining at times and I tend to guard my time off for other things. Plus I'm tiny, changing a tire is something I would have a hard time with, believe me I've tried. For the most part if it's something I can help with and isn't a huge inconvenience I will, otherwise, unless your family or a close friend, it just isn't going to happen. Like the drunken driver scenario, a friend I'd hide the keys, a stranger? I'd let the cops deal with the fool. Though depending on the friend, I just might let the cops deal with them as well.

Ability: Chains of Decadence. Much like the name implies it is a type of chain formed from the energy inherent in the red stone of destruction. Once summoned the wielder can use it much like one would use a whip, their thoughts dictating whether or not it cuts or binds whatever it comes in contact with. ---------------------------------------------- She?s not down here. Sena smiled in the darkness at the irritation in the red stone?s reaction to him leaping into the structure in spite of knowing that Sandra had not stayed on the section that broke off. I know that, I came down here for another reason. After all, even if she had been clever and it had almost worked, with her using the debris as a shield to hide that she had leapt off just as it was about to fall, such a trick was not enough to fool Sena. He had seen the hint of movement of her leaping out of the center of the tempest to hide behind one of the few chairs still standing after the storm she had called on tore most of them apart. If you knew that, then why did you come down here? He stepped over the rubble in the semi darkness, moving quietly as only he could, moving towards the closest exit that would lead back to where Sandra was. I would have thought that was obvious, to let her think she managed to actually fool us. He replied as he swiftly moved up the stairs, pausing upon reaching the top of the stairs where it lead back outside, tentatively looking around the corner. He could see her, not far from where he had last seen her, she was moving carefully, and watching not only the hole she had made, but the various exits that lead up to the surface of the stadium as well. Sena cloaked himself in shadows, hiding himself from her gaze when it fell upon where he was and then moved on. Don?t be a fool Sena, finish her off quickly this time. The stone advised as he slipped out and stuck to the shadows to move in on her position. I told you before, if you have a problem with how I do things, you should have chosen someone else. Sena smiled inwardly when the stone fell silent. After all, he was the only one left and very few humans were suitable as a host for what it wished to accomplish. Not that threats of choosing someone else would have mattered to Sena, he didn?t need the stone?s help to destroy others. Though he was becoming rather fond of the abilities he had at his disposal as a result of his bond with the stone. He hunched down as he got closer to where Sandra was, her back still turned to him as she moved away from where the hole in the structure was. Sena wondered just what she was up to, but only for a moment as he mentally readied the Chains of Decadence. First he would pin her in place and then? Oh the fun he would have, just thinking about it was enough to send the familiar thrill of pleasure through him that he always got from ensnaring and then torturing someone to death. It had been far too long since he had taken the time to truly enjoy taking someone apart. You?re an idiot. The red stone of destruction said with genuine irritation, nearly causing Sena to laugh out loud and misstep slightly, creating the tiniest bit of noise when the sole of his right shoe dragged a bit. Sandra whirled if she had been shot but it was far too late as the familiar whip shaped chain appeared in Sena?s right hand. With a flick of his wrist he expertly sent it flying to wrap itself around Sandra. With a vicious grin he sent the power of the Infernal Arc racing through the chain and into Sandra before she could properly react. Sena laughed as she rewarded him with her high pitched screams of agony before finally collapsing to her knees, still tightly bound by the chain.

How Did You Come Up With Your Screenname?
Horendithas replied to duorocks17's topic in General Discussion

I wanted indifference but it was already taken already(and has been for some time).
And it's going to continue being taken for a very long time. lol I was a bit surprised when I joined to find that it was actually available. Anyway... If you really want to know how I came up with my user name... Then head over and check out my post in the last thread on this subject: Post I still have no intention of changing it anytime soon. -

If that's the case what are we talking about here. I am really confused now.
Go and read Retribution's post or Korey's post again. The terms Mainstream and Individualism were grossly being misunderstood here and both of them explain it rather well. I think half of the conflict comes from people not realizing what the two of them mean since the first thought or thing I hear is "just cause I listen to this doesn't mean I'm not an individual" when the actual thing you are listening to or wearing isn't what defines that. It's whether or not the main influence for that comes from yourself. You can't get away from outside influence obviously, but still the idea is that you like it because you do, not because your best friend does. Though if he/she did as well that wouldn't matter either, so long as you genuinely like it as well. And Individualism is more about not being forced to accept and live by values you do not agree with even if the majority does. Though that can and does apply to what Korey is saying as well since as Beth pointed out peer pressure and religious expectations can have the effect of one feeling as if they are forced to give up their individualism in order to be accepted. And that includes one's taste in music/clothing, etc. Though I don't consider that as important as the more obvious suppression of one's individualism.
Yeah what's up with that? You guys need to pay attention, cause I don't speak for my health. ;) I keed, but this is going on my sig for sure.
Hahaha.

Most of the responses are telling me that no one is paying attention to what Korey originally said.
Everyone is mainstream in some way, every one is and individual. It's really a balancing act, there is no one extreme or the other.
Labels are useless here, what group, style... blah, blah, blah and so forth is just pointless. You enjoy what you like, you dress how you like and for the most part, people aren't one or the other, but a mixture as Korey just stated. People who are fake, are regardless of what group they are in or consider themselves to be in. It's not the label/group/clothing/music, etc, it's the person who is fake. lol

The I do what I want covers it just fine you know. Also, filter or not, lay off the indirect method of telling people who might not like what you do, to get off, it's not needed and it just makes you look silly and immature.

Harrison was not going to do it, he was determined to not go and join the others for dinner, but when his father’s private airship touched down at Rosengard his curiosity got the better of him. Within a few moments the window was fastened and he cleaned up every trace of the food he had brought up with him. The last thing he wanted to do was to have the attic closed off because of his carelessness. He had forgotten to clean up properly once and had gotten quite the lecture from Dame Anna about not creating more work for the staff than was necessary. And if there was one thing Harrison hated more than anything, it was to be lectured by an adult. As he hastily disposed of what was left of the food Harrison couldn’t help but feel as if something insidious had settled over Rosengard. It was quiet, too quiet and for some reason it made him feel edgy as he walked though the hallways towards the dinning room. What in the world is going on? He wondered as the third servant he saw looked away and hurried about their business. They’re acting as if someone has… “You must be sick!” A familiar voice rang out, causing Harrison to start violently. “You never go to dinner.” “And you’re still as annoying as ever.” He growled at Victoria Ann who had managed to sneak up on him while he was thinking. As always she merely ignored his abrupt manner of speaking to her. Sometimes he wondered why she even bothered since he always referred to her as if she was irritating him, even if she was not. And though he would never say a word to her otherwise, he was secretly pleased to see that other than perhaps a few scrapes and bruises, now that she was cleaned up, she seemed to be unharmed from the fiasco earlier that day. “Something is wrong Harrison.” She said seriously. “Dame Anna shooed me off to get cleaned up for dinner, but everyone is acting as if someone is dead!” Harrison froze for a moment, halting in place, had something happened to Eva or Fonty after they had been separated? He returned Victoria Ann’s serious look with one of his own and then grabbed her hand and hurried her down the hallway, letting go just as he reached the doors leading into the dinning room. He ignored Victoria’s startled look as he opened the doors and hurried into the room. He was brought up short by his father Daedalus who was standing just inside the door, partially turned to see just who had come in. Instinctively Harrison simply moved to go around where his father was standing and take a seat as Victoria Ann was already doing, but he was brought up short by his father’s hand on his shoulder as he started walking past him. He looked up just as Daedalus did the unthinkable, pulling him into a fierce hug, leaving Harrison dumbfounded as to what was going on. What the…? “There you are Harrison,” He said, his voice sounding slightly strained before he finally let go, both hands still on Harrison’s shoulders. “Go and take a seat, there's something important you need to know.” He gently turned him about and gave him a nudge towards where the others were sitting. Something that Harrison did in a daze like state, confused and afraid to hear just what had happened. Father did not hug people, ever. Harrison couldn’t even remember the last time that he had.

Harrison wanted to laugh at the irony of the situation and yet he couldn't. Here he was, in his room lying down on his bed and staring at the ceiling after having taken a bath and getting cleaned up. Facing the same situation he had yesterday, wishing he would not be expected to join the others for dinner or anything else. It didn't seem to matter that he had ended up in New Czenoble after having fallen asleep in the back of Fonty's car like some child. It didn't matter that apparently his uncle Leonhart was missing and that everyone would be talking about it during dinner, giving him the chance to listen in. If there was one thing he had learned, it was that for some things, even with those they considered kids present, most adults could not keep their mouths shut. So even if it presented the chance to listen in on what was going on, just like yesterday, Harrison had no interest in being there with the others. And considering all that had happened earlier, slipping out like he often did to take a walk through the city was out of the question. Dame Anna would have made sure that all of the servants were keeping a close eye on things, including making sure he stayed put. With a sigh he rolled off the bed, and walked over to look out the window facing the city, considering what to do before Dame Anna or someone else came along to remind him that it was dinner time. Something that he had no interest in attending, for one thing, mother would most likely lecture him about being more responsible. Father, if he was even there, would ignore him like always. Hardly his idea of a good time. Harrison sighed as he slipped out of his room and took off towards the kitchen to grab something to eat. It wouldn't be the first time he took something and carried it up to the top level of the estate. Victoria Ann knew about the older attic room that looked down over High Czenoble but he doubted that she'd show up tonight. Following him around like she always did, making a pest of herself. No, this time Victoria would be either too tired or too curious about Macey's assistant. If not for the fact that he'd rather go hungry than sit at the dinner table with the others, he would have been curious as well. Assistant or not, the newcomer's behavior was odd to say the least, he didn't behave like someone who was from High Czenoble, though since Harrison had never seen him before, he figured that it was likely that he was from New Czenoble. Not that he cared one way or the other. Harrison kept to himself as he traversed the hallways and then slipped into the kitchen, snatching some fruit, bread and cheese along with some water before he took off, running up the stairs leading to the library on the second floor and then to the next set of stairs in the library that lead to the attic. A few minutes later, he was at the window overlooking the city. He took a moment to open it before sitting down on the chair that was next to it. The sun had yet to set and the barest hint of a sunset was just starting to show its colors. And though he could not see New Czenoble there was still hints of smoke rising in the air that was visible from where he was sitting. As he watched the sun set, he wondered if Fonty and Eva were okay, just as he considered going back down a little later to see if anything new had been found out.

Jared didn?t bother to stick around to inform Drace of Sandra?s decision. It would be more fun for him to find out when he arrived to realize that Jared was not in his quarters. Checking the updates would direct him to Sandra who would in turn break it to him that he would not be assuming temporary control of the Creator. It was a thought that just made Jared smile since he did not care for Drace?s overly ruthless approach to things or rather what he perceived as an inability to control his reactions towards others. He could have waited until the next day to start the interrogation of Commander Chevast, sticking to standard procedure and starting first thing in the morning, but Chevast was a sticker for following the rules and starting him off at the wrong time would disrupt that mindset. Jared had told Crystal that he would be done before they arrived in sector eight and he meant it. Breaking someone as rigid and inflexible as Chevast would be simple. The only thing out of character that he had ever done was to back the New Alliance. Jared arrived at the interrogation chamber before the security bringing Chevast did, normally he would get the equipment ready but this time he simply opened up the panel at the terminal, set his hand held and other items inside and shut it, effectively locking everything inside until he was ready to leave. Then he sat down and put his feet up to wait for the security to arrive. Smiling a bit to himself as he waited, wondering if he would get the reaction he was expecting and then smiling even more broadly when the doors opened and the security arrived with Chevast in tow with a look of barely concealed panic as well as confusion on his face. ?Leave us.? Jared commanded the security, having already given them instructions to not bind the Commander or to secure him to the chair in the center of the room. With a small bow the group turned and left, leaving Chevast standing there, wondering just what Jared had in mind. He did not attempt to turn and leave as the sound of the doors locking once the security had left was all too clear. Nor did he try to move or say anything as he watched Jared warily, waiting for him to speak. But as the time went by and Jared simply smirked at him and said nothing as he sat there with his feet up, Chevast finally snapped at him. ?If all you?re going to do is sit there and look like an idiot then what the hell am I doing here?? Jared laughed and stood up in a single fluid motion, noting how Chevast took a small step back without thinking about it, clenching his hands into fists as he tensed up and braced himself. ?It?s simple Commander, I?ve decided to give you a chance to earn a quick and painless execution instead of a long, painful and drawn out interrogation.? Chevast spat in his direction. ?You lie.? ?I do?? Jared held his hands out to the side a bit, palms facing towards Chevast. ?And here I thought you were smart enough to realize that I never lie about something like that. If you earn it, you?ll get it.? ?No one has ever earned one of your so called painless executions.? ?You are correct,? Jared let his hands fall back to his sides. ?Not one of them had the skills or the ability to do so. All of them were lacking, incapable of a simple feat.? This time Chevast said nothing, standing rigidly in place as he watched Jared approach until they were less than ten feet apart. Jared sighed dramatically, ?It?s really simple Commander, all you have to do is manage to defeat me in unarmed combat, right here right now. Should you manage to do so, the security will, per my instructions, take you down with a disruptor blast set to kill.? ?I still don?t believe you.? ?Or you?re too afraid to find out that the rumors that I got my rank by sleeping with Fleet Admiral Stevens is far from accurate. Stop being such a coward, prove to yourself and everyone else that I really am incompetent. You?ll never get another chance to take a shot at me.? Jared held his hands out and away from his body as if inviting Chevast to attack. But when he did nothing Jared just sighed. ?Such a pity, in that case we?ll get straight to the main event.? He turned as if going over to turn on the equipment and then smiled when movement out of the corner of his eye told him that Chevast had finally made his move. But Jared had been expecting it and simply sidestepped his lunge, and then moved back at the same time, catching him from behind with a powerful blow to the back of his head that sent the Commander to his knees, stunned. Swiftly he knocked him face down, pinning him in place by grabbing his right arm and twisting it up behind his back. Jared held his other arm down as he placed his knee into the Commander?s back as he leaned over to whisper in his ear. ?Pity, it seems that like the others, you too are far from worthy.? Jared got up, pulling Chevast up with him, not giving him the chance to pull free as he maneuvered him into the chair and strapped him in. By the time Chevast had fully recovered from being stunned, Jared was already sitting behind the terminal for controlling the disruptors, entering the codes to bring the equipment online. He looked up to see Chevast watching him. ?Well, now that you?ve proven to be far from honorable, it?s time to get started.? He smiled at how Chevast winced over the word honorable, after all attacking from behind like he had was considered the act of a coward. With a smirk, Jared activated the disruptors, watching as Chevast struggled to keep from crying out in pain as the powerful energy ran through the chair and into his body.

So long as it's simple stuff I do fine. It's only when I attempt to do the more fancy recipes that it's a toss up as to whether or not it will turn out well. I have a cookbook of course, one with recipes that are easy to make and even more importantly a section explaining what the terms mean so I'm never lost when it says do this or that. lol I prefer baked goods or rather stuff that is not greasy and fast food just makes me gag so I rarely go to those type of places. I do go out to eat with my boyfriend several times a month, but we always go somewhere that has a good selection so I can always find something good on the menu. Personally, I love all those things you can get at the store that are ready to go, like prepped veggies and such. But then the more simple a recipe or salad is to make, the happier I am. lol

I imagine this was especially confusing for indifference and Aaryanna, so sorry about that. My plan is for Fauntleroy, Harrison and Victoria is to try and get them out of New Czenoble as quickly as possible. Obviously with the fires at Prometheo Labs and Celcius Complex that is going to be difficult for them to do by steamcar, so they may have to make it by foot.
Not really, but it did have me wondering if there would be any more posts on the protests. Now that it's clear that there will be, Aaryanna and I have detailed something out so she will be following up on what I just posted. I hope you don't mind that we separated the group even more. Even with the help of the Royal Police Guard, progress in attempting to leave the area was almost nonexistent as the protesters continued to work themselves into a frenzy, becoming even more unruly as some of them took advantage of their sheer numbers to block and interfere with any carriages or steamcars attempting to leave the area. "What about Aunt Eva?" Victoria said in a voice near to tears. "We have to find her!" "The Royal Police Guard will take care of her." Fauntleroy attempted to reassure her even as he swore under his breath when it became apparent with the chaos created by the protests; it would take hours if not longer for the Royal Police Guard to clear the streets of the mess of steamcars and carriages that had been abandoned in favor of safety. As Fauntleroy brought the car to a halt at the sight of several abandoned steamcars blocking the road, one of the Guards approached, knocking on the window to get him to lower it. "Lord Almagest!" He shouted to be heard over the mob of people as they continued to surge around the stopped car, chanting in loud voices, demanding change. "Can't you get those steamcars out of the way?" Fauntleroy shouted back, impatient to get the children to safety. "I'm sorry sir, but there aren't enough of us." Harrison winced as a handful of stones hit the side of the car before one of the other Guards intervened, pushing the protesters away. It did not stop them from simply moving to tear apart the steamcars that had been abandoned on the street. It was clear that the protesters were working themselves into a frenzy. "Sir! It's better if we get you out of here! There aren't enough of us to ensure your safety!" Fauntleroy just looked back at Harrison and Victoria Ann again before letting out a sigh and then grabbing his camera he motioned for the two of them to get out on the side closest to the buildings. With a look of regret towards his steamcar he turned and nodded to the Royal Police Guard as he grabbed Victoria Ann's hand when she emerged from the car, keeping her close. "Lead the way." He said once Harrison and Victoria Ann were ready. Harrison just kept quiet, sticking close to Fauntleroy and Victoria Ann as the Royal Police Guard created a path for them though the angry mob. Without the steamcar their progress was much quicker though far more intimidating as the occasional jeer or angry word was sent their way. Harrison just tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword, even if he lacked the training that a member of the RPG did, it still made him feel just a tiny bit less afraid. "Just a little further Lord Almagest." The captain said. "There should be more guards on patrol at the next street over." Before Fauntleroy could say anything in response a rush of protesters came around the corner, moving at a run, slamming into the group. Forcing them apart before the Royal Police Guard could react. Tearing both Victoria Ann and Harrison from his side. "Victoria! Harrison!" Fauntleroy yelled as he tried to pry his way free of the crowd as the sheer numbers dragged him further away from the two. Harrison could hear Victoria's screams as she struggled to get free of the press of people. In a panic he started hitting and kicking anyone in range as he fought to get over to where he could see the top of her head. A moment later he managed to catch her from behind and pull her away from the press of people until he had both of them up against one of doorways into a building. Desperately he shoved her back into the tiny recess and then braced himself against the push of people that threatened to pull him away. Then just as suddenly as it had started, it was over as the rush was past them. He looked around, but other than more protesters, there was no sign of Fauntleroy or the Royal Police Guard. "Now what do we do?" Victoria Ann finally asked timidly as she continued to hide behind Harrison. It was obvious that she was doing her best to not cry. Harrison looked around at the unfriendly faces around them, with their fancier clothing, it was clear they were not from New Czenoble and he got the impression that sticking around or even trying to find the others would be a mistake. He took her hand in his, trying to be brave instead of showing just how afraid he felt. "We look for the closest train or air transport station. Once they know who we are, they'll take us back home." He hunched down until he was facing her. "I need you to stay close to me, okay?" Victoria Ann nodded. Harrison stood back up and then keeping a tight grip on her hand, he started heading away from all the fuss, looking for any signs that indicated where a train or air station was. As well as keeping an eye out for the Royal Police Guard.

You'd think that with the availability of fan subbed anime I would actually watch a lot more and download them as well. But I don't, even though I got a new computer recently and actually have the disk space to do so if I wished. But the truth is, other than to check things out so I'm familiar with them, I rarely bother to watch something beyond an episode or two unless I really like it and even then I still rarely bother to download it. I only have one series that I've done that for since it has not been licensed yet. I'm hoping they do since I'd like to get my hands on a legal copy. Anyway, right now the only thing I'm actually watching at the moment is Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, Hayate no Gotoku and Lovely Complex. Though I've already seen all of Lovely Complex, I'm just re-watching that one since I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Ability: Infernal Arc. The ability to summon a dark purplish electrical based energy. Depending on the wielder’s intent it can be a more short ranged lethal blast of energy or a less powerful arc designed to torment instead of outright killing an opponent. ---------------------------------------------- Sena dodged Sandra’s attack with ease, ignoring the debris that was kicked up as the incandescent sphere’s of energy struck with lethal force, tearing apart chairs and knocking chunks out of the cement steps. Instead he watched her as she made the futile run for the semi cover of darkness of the west side of the stadium. His mind racing as he contemplated just how he was going to start taking her apart. If she couldn’t manage to put up much of a fight, what would be the point in even bothering? You worry about that too much. The red stone admonished him. Why did you merely strike her when you could have used that moment to impale her on the shards of darkness? It’s foolish to toy with her instead of finishing her as quickly as possible. Sena laughed a bit as he walked down to the railing and then with a jump dropped down to the grass, his knees bending slightly to cushion his landing. He straightened up and continued following her slowly, deciding just what to do next. If you don’t like how I do things, you should not have chosen me. Sena reminded the stone as he picked up his pace and began to run, angling to the left across the field so that he could jump up to the first level close to where she was running to. She is but one of many! You can take your time with those who remain! Sena sighed inwardly even as he hunched down and then made the jump, easily landing on the railing and then immediately leaping to the left to avoid the spheres of the light sent his way by Sandra. The one’s who remain are but sheep and hardly worth my attention. The red stone fell silent as Sena landed on the stairs going up and moved to cut Sandra off. She was running along the walkways, jumping up a level every so often while casting glances in his direction, keeping tabs on his movements. Sena! The warning came to late as the sphere’s of energy he had moved to avoid halted in midair and came flying back towards him. Now this is more like it! Sena thought with glee as he twisted frantically to meet the attack with his own. Raising his right hand palm facing forward as he countered the first two with a dark form of energy that arched from his hand and slammed into the spheres. Causing them to end with a sharp crack as they exploded in a flash of light. Rocked backwards by the force of the blast, the shot from his other hand went wild as it missed the last incoming sphere and slammed into the chairs with a boom; sending many of them flying as it imploded upon contact. A split second later the sphere of light hit, dealing a glancing blow to Sena’s left shoulder, slamming him back into the rows of chairs behind him. He felt the sweet rush of pain as it flowed from where he had been hit, radiating thought out his body, spurring him on as he quickly regained his footing and brought both hands together. A dark sphere of energy formed in front of his hands, it’s purplish light bathing him and everything around him in a hellish glow. Sena took note of Sandra’s movements as she headed for the top of the stairs and the entrance leading down into the structure. At the last possible moment he set the energy lose, watching with interest as it arched from his hands, dealt Sandra a glancing blow as it passed her and then slammed into the exit. At the same moment that Sandra hit the stairs from falling from the glancing blow, the cement of the exit exploded and then collapsed in on itself with a loud boom. Dust and debris flying in all directions as it briefly hid everything in it's shroud before it began to settle. Sena took a deep breath, sighing with pleasure and excitement as he once again approached Sandra slowly. Smiling at how she struggled to get back up, her movements betraying the pain she was in. “Don’t you think it’s time you stopped running?” Sena said conversationally. “It won’t do you any good.” Sandra just laughed. “As if I would willingly submit to you.” She moved back slightly, seeming unsure as to what her next move should be. “You’ve misunderstood me,” Sena grinned as he readied another wave of the shards of darkness. “The more you struggle, the more I enjoy this.”

This forum has not improved my writing, I don't think. I'm still just as horrible as I was when I came here.
Same here. After spend hours re-writing papers for school, making them more polished, etc. I have no interest in doing the same here. Other than to give it a quick glance for obvious mistakes and so forth. Anyway, probably the biggest thing would be finding out that there are online communities where there are intelligent people, you can have an opinion without getting flamed and you can pick up addition friends in real life that you met here first. Some have experienced that in a more profound manner... you know who you are. :p Now for the dark side... OB has turned me into a stalker as well...

Sorry for the delay on my part as well, I kept getting busy and next thing I knew, a month had gone by. Now that I'm almost done with finals and I have three weeks off coming up soon, I'll be sure to not vanish on you like that.

Sandra was not amused as she watched the flurry of activity as the fleet finished reestablishing Versilan Rule in sector seven. Just as she was not amused with how her meeting with Vallon Drace had gone earlier that morning when she reprimanded him for having killed one of the three representatives. Especially when she had learned that the circumstances clearly dictated that there was no reason or valid justification for his actions in that respect. Though technically the meeting in her quarters had gone well enough, after all it was clear that Drace understood just what was needed to maintain his current status and continue to do well within the Versilan military. No officer rose to his position without understanding just how to deal with one’s superiors. It didn’t change the impression she got that he didn’t take her very seriously, High Council member or not. Then there was the full knowledge that had reached them that the two High Council members who had been visiting sector thirteen were presumed to be either dead or in the hands of the New Alliance. Part of her was irritated, both at the New Alliance as well as at the two members who had been too foolish to return to sector one upon learning of the attack in sector fourteen. But even that paled to finding out that Stevens had completely neglected to inform her that he had made arrangements based on what could only be inside information to send a fleet there to deal with the forces in sector thirteen. It was his right as Fleet Admiral, but still as always, it annoyed her to no end how he enjoyed leaving her out of the loop. And yet, even that paled at her genuine anger and irritation over the rumors Stevens was allowing to circulate throughout the fleet regarding him and Darren Anderson, the Shipping Expert. Sandra wasn’t even aware she was gripping her drink too tightly until with a snap it shattered, sending shards of the material to the floor in her quarters. With a sigh she dropped what was left on the floor and simply ignored it in favor of going into the small kitchen area to clean up a bit. Then, once she was a little less irritated she cleaned up the shards, tossing them into the small waste chute in the kitchen area. Sandra was wondering a little as to why she was feeling so irritated when the chime indicating someone was at the door to her quarters sounded, reminding her that she was suppose to be meeting with Jared to go over a few details that afternoon. With a curt command to enter issued, she picked up her hand held computer sitting on her desk before moving to join Jared who had entered and was patiently waiting just inside the door. “Take a seat,” Sandra commanded after doing so herself, pausing only long enough to smooth out the folds in her uniform as she brought her mind back to where it should be, dwelling on the next step instead of things that did not matter. Jared as if sensing her mood simply gave her the half bow required and then reached into his pocket and fished out a data chip that he then tossed to Sandra before sitting down and then waiting patiently as she inserted it and leaned back a bit to go over everything in his report. “So, the two remaining representatives Joseph Steiner and Ana Crowe have been shipped off to sector one.” It was a statement of fact and not meant to be answered and Jared merely waited for Sandra to continue. “It seems that the High Council will have to settle for only two of the traitors instead of all three,” Sandra was clearly annoyed, but Jared was certain that the death of the Representative was not what was bothering her. “Two is more than enough, even if the death of Garrick Kublai violated your orders.” Jared decided to be blunt, as he often was when dealing with Sandra. As much as he personally had no issues dealing with her or her position as a Council member, he had no patience for what he perceived as a personal agenda or irritation that was irrelevant to one’s position. “However, I am certain that Drace’s mistake is not what’s bothering you.” Jared braced himself at Sandra’s sudden and immediately look of irritation, warning him to drop it, but he did not. “It’s simple Sandra, you’re annoyed with Stevens and I hardly need to explain why.” With a snap she shut her hand held computer down and got up and left to go and stare out the window’s into space, issuing a curt order for Jared to leave before turning her back on him, but he did not, getting up with a sigh of his own as he moved over until he was just behind her. “Sandra, you know that as your second in command I cannot simply leave. I need to know if you wish for any disciplinary action to be taken against Drace for failing to follow orders, just as I need to know if you wish for me to also send former Commander Chevast to sector one or simply handle his interrogation myself.” “Other than the official reprimand on his record, I have no intention of doing anything with Sub-Commander Drace. For the moment, that ruthless reputation of his is serving a purpose and I have no intention of changing that. As for Chevast,” She turned to face Jared, finally gracing him with a tiny smile. “I know how much you enjoy interrogations, so there’s no reason to ship him to sector one, not when you’d get more out of him than those fools ever would.” “In that case I’ll arrange for some of the clearance Drace would need to oversee part of my own duties while I attend to Chevast.” Jared started to open up his hand held computer to make a note but a sharp no from Sandra brought him up short. “I’ll take care of the few duties you are referring to, with such a strong reprimand on his record so soon after assuming the role of Sub-Commander of the Creator, I think it’s best to wait before giving him any clearance beyond the duties his position requires.” Jared’s eyes widened slightly at the implication of that statement, even if it was well within procedure, it would clearly show a displeasure on her part towards her newest Sub-Commander. It would be all over the Creator within hours once she attended to some of his duties while enroute to sector eight. Everyone would know that Drace was being reprimanded for what he had done. And being a High Council member herself, that displeasure or reprimand would be taken in a more serious light than if Jared were to do it himself. “Are you sure?” Jared finally asked her. “Quite. Though I am pleased overall with his performance, it would not sit well for it to appear to him or others that we were simply looking the other way in regards to his conduct.” Sandra turned back to looking out the window. “The other issue, in regards to Stevens is personal as you well know. Unless there are other things you wish to discuss, you are dismissed Jared.” Jared bowed, even though with her back turned she could not see it. “Understood, I’ll finish making the preparations so that we can depart for sector eight as soon as possible.” He turned and then exited her quarters, heading for the bridge to finish with the preparations. Eager to be done and on their way, it had been far too long since he had conducted a full interrogation. And the sooner he could get started, the better.

Given a chance, he'd sleep half the morning away, though usually the servant assigned to wake him up always made sure that never happened. Cheerfully entering his room and opening the curtains before shaking him away. But this morning it was different and he was too groggy to figure it out as he slipped in and out of sleep. At one point he realized that he was laying funny, as if something was pressing against his sides as he lay on his stomach, but his tired mind convinced him that he had probably just rolled in the middle of the night and gotten tangled in the blankets as he often did and he kept his eyes shut and drifted back to sleep. Even the sensation as if he was moving and the soft whisper of voices was not enough to drag him out of sleep, but rather served to make him feel like he was dreaming when a loud noise startled him enough to crack one eye open a bit, but since it was dark he merely shifted slightly and went back to sleep. Harrison didn't know what time it was when the voices became more prominent and hints of light kept hitting part of his face. Why are the servants talking in my room? He wondered as he opened up his eyes and realized that he was staring at something he did not recognize. Some sort of material that was not the cotton sheets of his bed. He was still struggling to put things together when a jolt from whatever he was lying on caused him to bounce a bit and then something heavy and warm landed on top of him. What the hell? Harrison froze at the sound of voices coming from close by. "Careful Fauntleroy, you wouldn't want your steamcar to break down would you?" A familiar female voice chided. "Don't be silly." Fauntleroy answered. "A simple bump in the road is hardly enough for the car to break down." Fauntleroy? It was then that Harrison realized that what had landed on top of him was none other that Victoria Ann, still half asleep as she stretched a bit, poking him in the face with her right hand. "Gah!" Harrison exclaimed as he woke up enough to realize that he had somehow fallen asleep in Fauntleroy's car and ended up wedged between the back and front seats, facing the floor. "Get off me pest!" He growled loudly as he attempted to get out, finding it difficult as his arms and legs were half asleep. "Unh..." Victoria Ann grunted as she hit the back of the front seat as the car came to a quick and sudden halt. Confused she lifted her head and then sleepily scrambled back onto the seat, lying on her back as someone opened the back door to the car. "What the hell are you two doing here?" "Uncle Fonty?" Victoria Ann said sleepily as she rubbed her eyes with her hands and started sitting up. "Would someone help me out of here?" Harrison said with exasperation as he realized that the scabbard his sword was in was caught on something, making it hard for him to get out of the spot he was wedged in. "You can scold them in a minute Fonty," Eva said as she brushed past him and tugged Harrison's scabbard free and then helped him get out of the spot between the front and back seats. Getting him up and sitting on the back seat next to Victoria Ann who was yawning. Harrison, upon finally seeing just where he was and Fonty's angry expression just cringed. Oh hell! He thought as he realized what had happened. Dad's gonna kill me when he finds out. But then as he looked out the windows of the car his eyes went wide... There was no mistaking that he was no longer in High Czenoble. Where are we?

Jachym just frowned a bit at Raone's words, getting rid of him would not be so easily done and he had just the thing for making sure the move made would be useless. But before the God of the Sea could do more than even think about reversing what had just been done, Celesta surprised him with what she said next. "If you make that move Jachym, I will counter it immediately, even if it results in my losing this game and being banished." She looked him straight in the eye. "I am more than willing to do whatever it takes to keep one who would so cruelly taunt the souls from gaining dominion over them." "Who's to say that I won't just turn around and counter you should you do so?" "I too would aid in putting an end to what you have done Jachym, even though I have long since lost interest in this pathetic game that Paraxis suggested." Bellanna declared heatedly. "What nonsense is this?" Jachym asked Paraxis. "Nonsense? This petty bickering is why I elected to hold this game in the first place." He replied. Paraxis turned away, but both Bellanna and Celesta were glaring at him fiercely and even Raone was shaking his head sadly. Jachym did not need the ability to see the truth to realize that their declaration was in earnest. Only Illyria was strangely quiet, staying out of the argument altogether. Disgusted Jachym turned away to face the pool, if they really were going to band against him, at this stage, it was all to obvious as to who was left in the game and who was not. The means to trick the others was long past. If I cannot win this, then I will end it. He thought as he tossed his final card into the pool and then he sighed as it found it's target. Charlotte and Kenneth had left Jeanne, still sitting on the floor in front of the alter in the church. Part of her was torn and wanted to follow Charlotte more than anything, and yet a part of her was sickened and disgusted by all that had happened. Plus, ever since the curse of Death had been lifted, she clearly remembered dying. How she had been heading for a party only to broadsided by a drunk driver. It had been one of the most unbelievably disjointed and awkward experiences she had ever come across. Finding herself floating above her body in the cold rain as she stared at her lifeless body, crushed by the door that had been forced in by the other vehicle that had hit hers. Before she could even wonder what had happened, she had suddenly found herself in the Ragnarok, her body restored. For a moment she thought that perhaps she had been imagining things but within a very short time something dark had clouded her vision and all she knew was a terrible desire to kill Charlotte's baby and incidentally Charlotte as well since she was still pregnant at the time. The overwhelming coldness and desire for vengeance had caused her mind to retreat into itself, watching from within and yet unable to do anything to stop what she was doing. "I wish I had never come here." She finally said out loud. "All I've done is harm others and kill innocent people." Jeanne knew that she would never be able to forget Ash's face as he threw himself in front of Charlotte when she tried to kill her. With a sigh she got up and looked around, wondering just what to do next, wondering if she would ever see her husband again. Just as she wondered if she would be forced to choose between herself and someone else. Could she choose to let someone else die like Charlotte did? At first she had been furious, but then, when she had realized that she was attracted to her and had forcibly kissed her... another part of her mind relented, after all, what mother wouldn't choose to save their child? Would she have done any differently? She was debating what to do when a shining card of gold appeared in front of her, spinning in place. It was beautiful beyond words and though the inscription on it was of a language she was not familiar with... somehow she knew what it was. Just as she knew what it offered. How she knew was beyond her. What wasn't beyond her was the realization that like Charlotte, she now had a choice, if she took it for herself, she would cease to exist, or rather she would be returned to her original state, which was one of someone who was dead. If she gave it a shove... it would go to Kenneth, destroying whatever bonds had tied him to this place. Jeanne didn't know if that would mean his death or not, there was something confusing in that she couldn't seem to see how such a thing would complicate matters in the Ragnarok. She only knew that doing so would for now, spare her life. Do I have a right to live? Her mind wandered back to the conversation she had with Marta, to how she was indeed already dead, as well as how she had killed Ash and harmed others since she had been here. Jeanne shook her head. I've done enough harm, she thought as she reached for the golden card, halting it's spin and then blinking to shield her eyes as it brightened in intensity. Without understanding why she pulled it towards herself until it was flat against her chest. A warm sensation filled her as she felt it enter her body and then slowly, she could feel herself drifting away. Her last thoughts before she was gone was one to wonder if it would be enough to right the wrongs she had committed. And then, she knew no more. I tend to be honest, though it helps that my parents just don't ask about certain aspects of my life anymore. Not that I would say it's bad, only that we have different values and opinions when it comes to what's considered acceptable. Nothing illegal mind you, just mature stuff that really isn't their business anyway. Beyond that I do use white lies of course, I don't know anyone who doesn't, but I avoid them like the plague since like Beth said, it's easier to keep things straight if you never use them to begin with. The only drawback... sometimes being blunt and honest about certain topics is taken the wrong way. And yet at the same time, there are some things I just won't lie about in a relationship since I've no interest in being in something that on some level is a lie. And I'm not talking about the more simple, your cooking is fine, that shirt looks fine... but the more serious stuff that is important if you want things to ever go anywhere.
