Warning: This spar may contain mature content since we have not limited what can happen in it. SPAR: Sandra Williams vs. Sena Henderson (SunfallE vs. indifference) Posting limit for each character: Five (including this post) Word limit for each post: 500-1000 (this does not include the intro or descriptions of abilities) Judge: BKstyles. The judging will be based more on creativity rather than who dies since that is not a condition for wining. In other words, it’s solely at the discretion of the judge. Rules: Since in the original rpg each player had unique abilities based on the nature of the stone they were connected to, we have decided to limit that to four for each character. Three offensive, one defensive. This is to avoid turning it into an unrealistic overkill on that side of the fight. The defensive ability is available immediately the other three must be introduced at a rate of only one per post. Once it is introduced it is available for further posts and can be used at the same time a new one is introduced in a following post. Each time an ability is introduced a short name and description will be placed at the start of the post. Defensive: Sandra Williams: Barrier of Light (an energy barrier capable of deflecting attacks) Sena Henderson: Cloak of Shadows (the ability to manipulate or create shadows in order to hide) Movement: Though not true super speed, both characters are bound to the stones so that results in an increase in speed, agility and the ability to jump. Not excessive mind you, but enough that reaction times can be quicker than would be expected for teenagers. We choose to not change the ages but leave them in the range they were required for the original rpg. ---------------------------------------------- Ability: Shards of Darkness. Just as the name implies, it’s the ability to summon shards of darkness about the size of a small dagger and with a thought send them towards a target. Lethal and capable of ripping through lighter weight materials, even metal. However, limited by range and no more than five can be summoned at a time. ---------------------------------------------- So the others were dead, so what? Sena did not care and on some level, neither did the red stone of destruction. Once the final stone of good was destroyed, along with it’s host, they would have no trouble laying waste to the world that had betrayed them so long ago. Sena matched Sandra’s impassive and guarded stare with a tiny half smile of anticipation. Out of all the stones of good, more than anything he had wanted to take her down personally. Males did not interest Sena and the only other female had been weak and unworthy of his attention, the fact that she had been the first to die had only proved his point. But Sandra, as she stood there in the empty field of the stadium in the city now in ruins from the prolonged battle over the past few months, was another story. Strong, determined and surprisingly resourceful, she had proven to be a challenge even to the former leader of the stones of evil. Taking out first Greed and then Lust while the others in her group had attempted to take down him and the leader, Dark. The resulting blast from the stones being destroyed had leveled most of the city leaving just the two of them to finish the fight. Sena smiled, the fading light as the sun began to set gave the empty stadium an almost eerie feel as the red tinged light covered the eastern side of the bleachers. Bathing everything in it’s reddish glow. “You’ve fought honorably, surrender your stone and I will give you a swift and painless death.” It was a lie of course, her death would be slow and painful. Sena had had been looking forward to taking her apart piece by piece for quite some time, he was not about to let her cheat him of that pleasure by dying quickly. Sandra was warily backing away, step by step as Sena slowly approached. “I think not. You are without honor, killing the innocent who have nothing to do with the ancient grudge between our stones.” “True,” Sena said with a shrug as slivers of darkness formed in the air in front of him. Slivers that the moment they were formed flew towards Sandra with frightening speed only to slam into her hastily raised barrier. With a screech three of them came apart in a shower of sparks as they impacted on her shield while the other two having approached too quickly forced Sandra to dodge to the left to avoid being skewered. She was almost quick enough, avoiding one altogether and then grimacing in pain as the second one hit her with a glancing blow, ripping through the outer sleeve of her shirt and cutting the skin on her right arm in a shallow fashion. Sandra did not have much time to even register the blow or the blood that began to soak her torn sleeve. A sharp crack alerted her to the fact that the other shard had sheared the base of the metal pole supporting the goal post. Sandra threw herself to the left even further in a frantic roll to avoid being hit by the falling goal post just as Sena made a dash for her position, intending to pin her to the ground. He readied another set of shards as he ran, intending to pin her to the ground with them, only to come up short as she got to her feet and back flipped into the lowest seating area behind where the goal post once stood. Turning and running east along the narrow walkway between the seats, avoiding the next set of shards he sent her way and the debris caused from their impact tearing through the seats.

Jachym was not amused with the addition of two new souls to the Ragnarok, not that it mattered, he would thin the ranks down by one momentarily. But before he could move to do so Bellanna spoke up. "I like not that look in your eye Jachym, just what are you up to?" "Just watch and see Bellanna." Jachym said mockingly as he vanished from Valhalla. "I think not!" Bellanna declared as she too vanished. Patrick was not happy with the appearance of a more fully grown Kenneth, he had thought the idea of being a father would be fun, but that was before Kenneth had been changed into a young child. But Charlotte was so happy to see him that he kept quiet and helped her take his choir robe and shorten it up for Kenneth to wear. "We should keep looking for a way out of here." Charlotte said turning to look for a way out since the door they had entered in was gone. But there was a raging blizzard going on out the only other exit and even though they were well sheltered it was still quite cold. The shadows of two figures appeared at the door and before Charlotte could truly register just who was there Jeanne and a stranger entered the cave, staggering as though affected by the deep cold outside. Only when they had paused to shake the snow out of their clothing did they realize that they were not alone. "You!" Charlotte screeched when she realized Jeanne was there. "You steer clear of me and Kenneth!" She moved until she was in front of him protectively. "I won't let you harm my baby!" "Wait!" Jeanne tried to explain, "you don't understand!" But before a single one of them could do more than tense a deep voice echoed through the cavern. "That's correct, in so many ways." The masculine voice said. "Jachym?" Charlotte muttered as she looked around and then stepped back in surprise as both Jeanne and Enora were encased in a shell of water. Both of them tried to push their way free but though the water appeared unmoving as it was firm to their touch. "What are you doing?" Charlotte asked when Jachym appeared, standing between the two woman who were trapped. "It's simple Charlotte, you remember what I showed you correct? I have decided to let you decide who will be next to leave the Ragnarok." "Wait, by leave you mean?" Charlotte backed up, her hand going to her mouth as she realized just what he was saying. "That is correct you will choose who dies next. Will it be Jeanne? Or will it be Enora?" Charlotte collasped, sitting down hard. I can't make a choice like this! Kenneth just sat down next to her, taking her hand in his. "What does he mean mother?" "I know what he means!" Patrick declared as he advanced towards Jachym angrily. "You have no right to ask her to make a decision like..." Patrick grunted in surprise as a bubble of water enveloped him as well, trapping him in place. "Be quiet foolish son of Illyria," Jachym said with contempt. "This does not concern you." He turned back to Charlotte. "Make your choice or I will choose randomly. It is the nature of the Ragnarok, you can make the choice or face the consequence of possibly losing your son or even yourself." "What's the matter with you Jachym?" Bellana appeared before him. "Why do you engage in this foolish game? Let the Ragnarok decide, stop tormenting the mortals!" She said angrily. Jachym laughed, "The Ragnarok is more than enough to torment them dear Bellanna." Jachym held up the death card in his possession. "Unless you are saying you wish for me to spare your champion? If so you should have said so to begin with. After all, I do not consider you much of a threat." "That's not what I meant!" Bellanna threw up her hands in disgust. "We decided to let the souls determine the outcome, you have no right to interfere in this manner!" "Don't be silly, Paraxis himself has often interfered, just as Illyria and each of you has. Unlike the others the right to end one of the souls to ensure my victory has been earned. How I chose to do that is of no concern to you." "We shall see." Bellanna said before she vanished, leaving the others to wonder just what was going on. "Well... now that the theatrics is done with... choose Charlotte!" "But I can't!" She wailed. "How can you ask me to choose? Why?" She looked up at the two who were caught in the bubbles of water, each of them watching her, Patrick furiously pounding on it in an attempt to get free, Jeanne looking depressed and the stranger, simply standing there calmly as if merely waiting for judgment. Kenneth shook her a bit, inquiring yet again as to what Jachym meant. I don't have a choice, if I don't choose, he might take Kenneth. With a sob she pointed at Jeanne. "I choose her." Then she buried her face in her hands only to look up when Jachym laughed. Charlotte looked up just in time to see the bubble surrounding Enora collapse, crushing her within an instant. Instantly she pulled Kenneth close, shielding his eyes from the gruesome sight. "Why? Why did you kill her? She was not the one I chose." "I was testing your resolve Charlotte, to see if you possessed the strength to make such a difficult choice. It was my intention to kill Enora from the very beginning. The God who she was champion to was far more dangerous than the others here." With a snap of his fingers, the water bubbles and Jachym vanished. Charlotte just cried, hating how she had actually picked someone to die, just to save her own skin. What kind of monster am I becoming? She wondered as she held Kenneth close to her.

Well this is certainly interesting... Enora if rearranged is Raone no less. I'm beginning to understand the take down Kathy campaign comment from earlier. XP At this rate, we'll never win! Oh if only I had a death card... Enora's stay in the Ragnarok would be rather short I'm afraid. :p
Oh I can manage the card bit... It's just a matter of which one to take out, so many lovely victims to choose from. Heh. No worries though, either later tonight or tomorrow I will have a post up. EDIT: And done. Oh and before anyone asks, I asked Beth if she minded if I used her Goddess in my post. And she said that was fine. :p

Another thing to remember though, if I were to edit the thread, like I did after Petie had to add a thread to the directory, unless I leave a note, it won't show that I did anything to the thread where you would be able to see it. As for a directory for the Anthology... I really have no comment on that since I'm not sure just how feasible one for that area would actually be.

He positively hated it and only Victoria Ann's mocking insistence that she'd get him for not doing as he was told resulted in him actually following through. Because he knew from past experience, she'd do exactly as she threatened. He remembered all to well the last time he agreed to go with her on a short shopping trip and then backed out at the last moment, making her furious with him for breaking his promise. Victoria Ann had vowed that she'd take his sword and hide it from him as punishment and sure enough she had, refusing to give it back for nearly a week! Any attempts to appeal to Dame Anna had been dismissed along the lines that he didn't need the sword anyway. Just as she had insisted that he be required to attend Chaos and learn more about different fields instead of going to the academy like he had wanted. And his father, even though he had no real hatred for him, had no interest in interfering with Dame Anna or any other adult's decision as to what was best for him. It galled him to no end that even Catherine agreed, that he needed to broaden his horizons before making a choice. With a rough jerk to straighten the absurd outfit he stormed out the door and nearly ran over Victoria Ann who was still waiting for him. "What are you still doing here?" He growled as he pushed past her to head for the party. "Oh! So scary!" Victoria Ann said with a mocking laugh. "I told you, Auntie Catherine said you were to get dressed so I'm making sure you actually do instead of sneaking off." She made a face at him as she caught up and walked along side Harrison. "Well as you can see I'm dressed, so get lost pest." Victoria Ann just laughed delightedly as they approached the doors to the Grand Hall and with a smirk she took off towards Leonhart, presumably to give him her present. Reminding Harrison that since he had originally planned on skipping the party altogether, he didn't have anything to give to his uncle. Though the excessive amount of gifts on the table in the room only proved his thought that it was hardly necessary. Leonhart probably had more junk than he knew what to do with. With a sigh Harrison turned to look for some corner to hide in when he came face to face with his father, causing him to give him a glare as if he were responsible for how the evening had turned out, but as always, Daedalus was unruffled by his attitude. "Harrison, I trust you aren't giving Dame Anna or anyone any grief." "Like you even care Father." Harrison said through clenched teeth. "After all, it seems to be perfectly fine for Helen to get to do what she wants but not me." "Now is not the time for that." "Yeah, yeah, spare me the few words you actually do bother to give me. After all, there never is a time when it comes to what I want to do." Harrison turned his back on Daedalus and continued on his way to find an corner to get away from everyone. He was heading for one of the more secluded balcony's to make good his escape when a hand on his shoulder stopped him. "There you are Harrison, I was beginning to wonder if you sneaked off again." It was his older sister Helen and though Harrison had no grudge with her, he still hated talking to her since it only reminded him of how she got to do what she wanted while he did not. Harrison was in his bedroom laying flat on his back on the huge bed while staring at the card detailing the information about the birthday festivities being held in honor of Leonhart, his uncle. With a snort of disdain he tossed the card aside with a flick of his wrist and rolled out of bed. If he stayed in his room the servants would find him, leaving him with no excuse but to attend the stupid party. "As if that would be fun." He remarked sarcastically as he snatched up his sword and strapped it on. "Watching everyone fawn over Uncle Leonhart while getting plastered is about as exciting as watching paint dry." The sound of servants moving along the corridor outside his room prompted him to hastily grab his maroon cloak and duck into the walk in closet out of sight. Harrison kept himself perfectly still as the servant in question knocked a few times before finally giving up and moving on, muttering under his breath that the young master must have already left for the party. Harrison just smirked once they were gone, taking a moment to toss his cloak on. There was no need to change out of his sturdy brown cotton shirt and heavy linen trousers that he wore for both school and practice. Real men did not wear fancy silk or other useless materials that couldn't protect you from the most simple of weapons. Taking care to not step too firmly and be heard coming down the hallway, Harrison slipped out of his room after carefully looking both ways. With each step he cautiously avoided making any dragging noises with his boots. It didn't take him long to find the door leading out into the main yard. It wasn't easy, but Harrison kept to the shadows as much as possible he didn't want... "Harrison!" A stern voice rang out, causing him to freeze in place and then cringe when he realized that Lady Anna Grimalkin the house matron of Rosengard had spotted him and was quickly approaching him from across the yard. Damn! "And just where do you think you're going young man?" Anna demanded as she glared at him sternly. Harrison opened his mouth to speak and then changed his mind, matching her stare with his own equally stubborn one. He wasn't about to actually say that he was going to the party when both of them would know he was lying. Anna just sighed, "I'll tell you where you're going and that's to get to the main hall before you're late for the party." She shook her head and held out her hand to which Harrison reluctantly handed his sword. "Now get moving!" She barked, watching only long enough to make sure he had done as she ordered him to. With yet another sigh she handed his sword over to one of the other servants. No explanation was necessary, it wasn't the first time she had caught him sneaking out, they knew to simply put it back in Harrison's room. After handing over his sword to Dame Anna, Harrison had stalked off without saying a word. Nor did he look back as he already knew she would be watching to make sure he actually went inside. He resisted the urge to hit something, anything as he walked through the doors and headed down the hall towards where the party would be held. As he approached the double doors leading into the grand hall where the party would be a servant approached to take his cloak but Harrison motioned for them to leave it be and stormed into the hall, moving so quickly that the other servants barely had time to get the doors open for him. Name: Sena Henderson Gender: Male Age: 18 Day Appearance: Day Night Appearance: Night Personality: Sena is a cold-blooded killer despite his youth. From the time he was barely thirteen any living thing was fair game for torture and destruction. He has an iron will and determination and the patience to wait for months for the right moment to claim his next target. He was recruited by a secret organization of the government and trained to see if he would be suitable to work as an assassin. He is now one of their top agents, as he will kill anything or anyone if told to do so. IC: Sena dismantled the sniper rifle and carefully put everything away, ensuring that no traces of his presence would be found. He looked up at the new moon and smiled. It had been three years since he had been recruited by the government to work as an assassin. It really was quite ironic to be paid to do what he loved most, killing. Sena left the rooftop of the building and began to walk down the stair well. Calm and collected he ignored the sounds of sirens in the distance. Soon the authorities would be arriving to attempt to save the target and to locate him. It would do them no good, as he never missed his mark and it was child's play to evade the authorities. It was entertaining to watch them try though. There was something thrilling about seeing them struggle against the inevitable only to fail. A car was waiting at the entrance of the building when Sena came out and he climbed in. No words were exchanged, the driver simply drove off, Sena didn?t know the destination and didn?t care. Before long he would have another target and that was all that mattered. That and the visions he had been experiencing lately. Visions of glorious death and destruction, he had experienced them as a child but they had stopped when he became a trained assassin. But a few nights ago they had resumed and this time a voice accompanied them telling him that the time was near. Suddenly the driver slammed on the brakes. Unprepared Sena was slammed hard against the seat belt. He looked up to see a man standing in the middle of the road. ?What the hell is going on?? Sena asked. The driver said nothing. Sena turned to the driver only to find him unconscious. A voice out of nowhere spoke. "The time has come?? Sena was out of the car in a flash. Pulling his gun free he prepared to fire at the unknown man standing in the middle of the road. Once again the voice spoke. ?There is no need for that, he is only a messenger..? As if in a trance Sena put the gun away and walked over to the man standing in the road, he held out his hand. The stranger also appeared to be in a trance as he handed him a beautiful red stone. As he looked at the red stone Sena felt as if a part of him that had been missing had finally been found. He could feel the warmth and power that was contained within. ?Excellent,? the voice said, ?I was right, you are the one. Now, show me your soul; the one before you was not suitable, how do you respond?? Sena smiled. He placed the stone in his pocket and in a single fluid movement pulled his knife free and slashed the mans throat. Blood sprayed all over Sena as the man fell backwards. Once again Sena smiled. Being an assassin had been enjoyable, but this would be even better. He did not even bother to clean off the blood; he just walked off into the night. ?We must find the others?? the voice said. ?Others?? Sena asked. He pulled out the stone and spoke directly to it. ?You are the one who sent me those visions all these years, aren?t you?? ?Yes, there are those who would oppose us? the stone replied, ?The time has come for the visions to become a reality.? Sena tucked the stone back into his pocket. First he would need to find a way to attach the stone to a chain to wear as a necklace and then he would begin his search for the others. This was going to be fun. Current Status: Even though the others have fallen in battle Sena cares little about their fate and is only interested in destroying the final stone of good so he can make the visions of destruction a reality.

This is a spar between SunfallE and myself and no one else. It?s based on characters that we had in an rpg two years ago that died and never finished. The basic premises was that of a war between good and evil, both sides represented by stones that housed ancient souls with tremendous power. In this case I played as the Red Stone of Destruction and SunfallE played as the Pink stone of Happiness. In this spar there will only be two stones left, hers and mine and they will fight to the death, utilizing the powers granted to the mortal souls currently holding the stones, our characters that is. We will be posting our original signups with corrections of course should anyone wish to follow along. Once that is done the main thread will go up and the battle will commence. We haven't decided yet if we will have outside judges or not since the main reason we are doing this is just for fun. However, if you'd like to be one or have an interest, then by all means feel free to pm either SunfallE or myself. Neither one of us have ever sparred so even simple tips on how to declare a winner would be welcome. Also, fair warning, this will be mature or rather has the potential to have mature content since we have chosen to not limit what can happen during the fight.

Discuss Shinigami Dance: Playground of Deities
Horendithas replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Theater
Are we about ready to wrap things up and move to the Count? I didn't bother to include the fight with the second creature since that seemed a bit redundant in my opinion. So the question is... who wants to be the one to find the exit? I'm thinking of you Allamorph since Nathan is already finding the keys. Care to move us to the final battle? I'm betting you would have a lot of fun writing up how we finally end up out of that place. :p -
What motivates me more than anything is seeing victims of domestic abuse recover and get on with their lives. Or seeing couples who's marriage was suffering move back into a more healthy relationship. As frustrating as it can be at times, as annoying or tiring as school can be, or dealing with people who are self destructive, in the end those cases where things go well and you are successful in helping someone improve their life for the better is what convinces me to continue. It's not a grand goal or anything like that, I just enjoy doing it and seeing the positive outcomes even though there are those that don't end so well. And for now that's more than enough for me.

Jachym couldn't help but smile at Bellanna's move. He had a move or two himself as well, but the question was whether or not now was the time to actually put them to use. One wrong move, one tiny miscalculation and he, like the others before him would be out of the game for good. And Jachym intended to win. He stared at the pool as he wavered between being cautious or more bold. "Would you stop that already?" Charlotte declared angrily as she pushed Patrick away. "Stop touching me like that! It's inappropriate for a boy to put his hands on a woman in that manner!" She stopped and turned to face him, still flustered that he had actually put his arm around her waist and... Charlotte turned red at the thought of where his hands had roamed to. "I'm not a boy!" Patrick declared. "I'm almost seventeen and old enough to have my own farm and even to be married!" Charlotte just stood there speechless as his words about not being a boy made her feel as if she was going insane. For in one moment he was in her eyes a very young man and yet as if blinking her eyes was all it took he seemed to take on an aspect of being older and more mature. She closed her eyes tightly and then looked again. Am I seeing things? She jumped when Patrick took her hands in his and looked at her with an intensity that was frightening. "I love you Charlotte. I don't know how, but I just know that I do." He moved closer. "I want you more than I've ever wanted anyone, I want to show you just how much I love you." "What about Kenneth?" Charlotte whispered, suddenly afraid and yet not understanding why she felt that way. "What about him?" Patrick shrugged. "I've overheard the others talking about the fact that most of us were brought here after death. Seems to me that the boy will need a father." "But," Charlotte started to object and then stopped when Patrick shook his head negatively. "I know you care about me too Charlotte, I've noticed it since we first met." Patrick insisted forcefully as he moved to start undressing her. "That's not true," she protested weakly, trying to think of a good reason to shove him away. But her thoughts wouldn't settle down as conflicting whispers ran through her mind, one telling her she could not care for a boy and the other telling her that he was no boy and that she had in fact thought of him in that light since they first met. Am I going mad? She couldn't tell and the harder she tried to clear her mind the more confused she became. What is going on here? Why can't I seem to stop him? Charlotte didn't know what to think anymore as Patrick did more than just undress her. And she couldn't stop herself from crying over the pain caused by the confusion her mind seemed to be in. I really am going crazy she thought with despair.

There has been another change in the rules: from now on cards will be given when you reach 4 Death Points. I think this will bring us back to speed, and finally reach conclusion to this game. ;D You guys know me, I hate to leave my games unfinished, and in this case we're so close to the end that I will not give up. There shall be only one god!
Well I wasn't going to quit, but that will help get us to the end of this. :p So I'm all for it. Now I just need to earn two points instead of five. A much more obtainable goal in my opinion and though I thought I needed to go somewhere, I just realized that I don't so I'm going to go and see if I can't earn those two points I would need. In other words, since I like being invisible, I'm posting. I'll edit this when I'm done, though you'll know when you see the post go up. EDIT: Meh, I'm not sure if that will earn any points or not, but I wanted to show just how passion and madness do not mix very well. :p That's the problem with the point system now. It's becoming redundant in the sense that I want to post and make things happen regardless of whether or not it will earn anything. lol

Something was not right and Adrian did not need to see the antics of Nathan, nor the change in Lucia's stance to one of irritation to know it. He could simply feel it as he effortlessly dispatched the undead dragon each time it returned and spun with deadly force as he took out any and all wraiths or other creatures that came in range. It was clear within a short time that the creatures were spawning at an incredible rate. Far more than what should have been possible, at least without something else added to the mix. It was nagging at his memory as to just what it was as Adrian was certain that he had encountered it before. A quick push off from the floor as he literally flew sideways, his blades out to the front as he tore though a set of creatures closing in on him. A step as he landed on his right foot and then a glance in Nathan's direction when he heard Astera giving him an earful. And then since she was not in any danger, something that he would have known if she was, he pushed off and this time flew forward between Nall and Ruby who were doing their best to keep up with the creatures as they appeared. A tiny chime sounded, causing him to look around for the source as he brought his scythes down yet again to pin the undead dragon that had reappeared. As flames ran down his blades and turned it to ash, he pulled free with a laugh and then snickered even more as he overheard Lucia give Alex a bit of an earful. How long had it been since he had heard her get frustrated? Adrian pushed it out of his mind as Lucia gave the order to both Nall and Ruby to create a barrier to keep something from escaping. Barrier? Of course! That has to be it! Adrian smiled as he slashed horizontally, taking out the wave of wraiths heading his way now that Ruby and Nall were occupied. But for some reason Lucia was doing nothing and simply helping with the fighting. What in the world is she doing? Does she not realize what she's trapped behind the walls? He was about to ask her when yet another chime sounded from the contraption she carried around and used all the time. Lucia raised her hands in front of her and thin blades of fire shot out in front of her, traveling at incredible speeds, ripping though all of the creatures who were close to her. That idiot. Adrian thought as he zeroed in on her position. "What are you doing you fool?" Adrian said coldly. But Lucia ignored him in favor of quickly checking her equipment before tucking it back into her tunic. "I'm checking the results of the scan I started to identify what's inside the walls." She replied, all trace of irritation seeming to have vanished. "No need, I know what it is." Adrian explained, he looked to the one where Nathan had cracked the wall. "Have Nall help Ruby keep the other one in place while I deal with the first one." Lucia just nodded, "You heard him Nall!" She called out. Nall just snorted and moved to help Ruby by virtue of dealing with the creatures who were coming for her. Whatever was in the wall was trying to move and it was requiring constant input on her part to keep in there. "It's about time slowpoke." Ruby teased Nall. Nall just ignored her, focusing instead on not only maintaining the barrier but on keeping the creatures away from Ruby. Satisfied that the two had things well in hand Adrian turned and focused his energy, creating a solid wall in front of him as he focused on the spot where the stone was cracked. Then a few seconds later he launched himself towards the spot, both blades in front of him, just behind the wall he had created that was approximately two feet in diameter. Adrian ignored the attempts by the wraiths to stop him, tuned out the sound of the fabric of his shirt ripping where a few managed to actually touch him. The shudder of those who were in the way and were simply sent flying when the wall hit them was of no consequence. Adrian simply poured more of his energy into to the wall to keep him from losing momentum. Then with a horrible boom the wall created with his energy hit the spot where the stone had been cracked by Nathan. For the slightest of seconds Adrian felt resistance and then with an audible crack the outer layer of stone crumbled as the force of his blow dug into the wall a good four feet before finally coming to a halt. As the stones began to fall to the floor, a horrible screech could be heard as a dark shadowy creature, easily as big as Nall or Ruby began to form from the shadows that flew from the rocks that were falling to the floor. Similar to a wraith and yet the deep glowing gold colored eyes and the near transparent body was clearly that of a summoner. Adrian didn't give it the chance to run and hide again. The moment it was formed enough to touch, he was on it, driving it back with powerful blows from his Scythes until finally he had it pinned against the part of the wall that was still a barrier as a result of what Nall had done. Adrian dropped his scythes as he grabbed the creature by the neck with his left hand and then rammed his right hand down it's throat before he opened up his palm and sent the flames running through the creature from the inside out. Seconds later it was nothing more than ashes. With a feral grin Adrian turned, summoning his scythes even as he did so and then he launched himself towards the other spot where Ruby and Nall were. Once he dealt with the second one he would have Lucia check to make sure there weren't anymore around.

So my question is, do you think what the mother did was a crime?
Yes. I wouldn't go so far as to say murder, but it definitely falls under harassment. Something that is definitely a crime:

Criminal harassment is defined as "engag(ing) in intentional conduct which the actor [harasser] knows or has reason to know would cause the victim, under the circumstances, to feel frightened, threatened, oppressed, persecuted, or intimidated; and causes this reaction on the part of the victim.

Do you think she should be held responsible for the girls death, and has cyberbullying ever happened to you?
Since proving that she was responsible for her death would be difficult and problematic at best, I do not think she should be held accountable. At least not for the suicide part. Definitely for the harassment though. As for cyber bullying. lol Yes, I have in the past been totally harassed. Unlike this poor girl I was in my early twenties and my father is a lawyer so he took care of it by threatening legal action against those involved and that put an end to it.
I personally think that she shares some of the responsibility and while she can't be directly linked to it, she knew of the girls struggle with depression and crossed the line. Should she go to jail? I don't think so, but I think she should have some punishment. Maybe paying for the girls funeral, a public apology something that shows she is sorry for the events she set into motion.
There's no getting around it, she definitely should be fined or required to put in so many hours of community service as well as being required to apologize to the family in question in public. For an adult to behave so irresponsibly is just unacceptable, especially when she knew what the girl's circumstances were.

Oh, I know. You just tend to refute rather ... harshly, I think. Or maybe I was half-asleep. Something like that. Which reminds me: is there a particular reason you post in indigo? :p
I try to tone it down, especially when it's something I feel strongly about. But while it's easy for me to see when I'm not deliberately being harsh, that isn't always true for others. But then that's a given I suppose since it's an online message board instead of a face to face discussion. Which is why I mentioned that seeing differently doesn't bother me no matter how strongly I may feel on a particular topic. The school thing is mainly because there's been a lot of politics going on around the funding of schools lately and a lot of it I disagree with 100% Though I'm talking about Utah and nowhere else of course. It's not the same as what Konata is talking about, but still... I have my own ideas on how sick days and other things are handled, or rather how I think they should be handled. As for the color, it's just my current favorite color. And incidentally goes well with the banner and avatar I made. I've used other colors in the past. But indigo is definitely my favorite so I'm using it. :p

Ho, there, indi-girl! Ease up. Ain't no need for us to have on o' them cat-fights in this here thread. Konata and I is just banterin', is all. (I want to add "stop being so literal".... :p) Actually, if my absence cost the school money, I wouldn't shed a tear.
Do me a favor Allamorph, call me Crystia. indi girl just makes me think of Indiana Jones. [How that happens... I have no idea.] Also, there is no cat-fight. We disagree and that's all there is to it really. Nothing to get excited over I assure you. Life would be pretty boring if we all had the same opinion so I have no problem with not seeing it the same. That just makes it more fun actually. Also, I agree with that last bit, if my absence cost the school money, I wouldn't shed a tear either. But that ties into the slash of school funding and what departments get nailed and what ones don't and that would need a separate thread to cover all the stupidity involved in the politics behind which area's of school are cut and those that aren't. If I really want to discuss that I'll start another thread for it. :p

That's why I said initially. I was referring to your first post where you mentioned it. :p Since your first post did not and the others did. Also, don't worry about getting on someone's bad side. We simply see it differently. I have no patience for programs like that, or the concept of perfection in anything because in the end, it's an illusion. Also, when I say the prize of a car... I was going off of what was in the article that was linked to. I'm sure that's not true of all the school districts. Just wait until you get more into the politics behind how the state and federal government slash funding for schools on a regular basis, or perhaps you already do. But that more than anything is why any attempt to make the students feel responsible is sheer stupidity in my opinion. Because the lack of funding in the end is completely out of their control. They can't even choose to reject the reward system based on attendance. So in my mind, they can't be held accountable for it since they aren't the ones who chose to implement it. Think about it, kids are required by law to go to school, most don't hold a job, don't pay taxes, can't even vote and yet they're being told that if they are gone over being sick they are costing the school money? That's just ludicrous in my opinion. Sure the school is losing out, but it's hardly the student's fault. Now if a kid is skipping classes just because they don't feel like going, then yeah, you could say it's their fault since they could have been there.

Anime Anime Out of Context (image heavy)

Lovely Complex seems to have a lot of these types of moments.
Yeah, it has some fun ones, that's for sure.
@SunfallE: Some schools need that money =P For other purposes too. Like textbooks. Or paying off debt (severely, in some cases). So ultimately, by being absent, you're limiting the money that the school is receiving, and thus taking away money that they could have. And I know not all states are doing the same thing. Not all states are allowed to hunt bullfrogs with firearms, and not all states legalize molestation of butterflies (Okay, maybe just Pacific Groves makes that illegal). That's why I said the law applies to my place >_>
Tell the schools to stop offering prizes like a new car since that will pay for quite a few textbooks and also, if a student is legitimately sick, altering the program so students can have say three days a year where the school still get's paid if they have a doctor's note is more than reasonable. The only one limiting it here is the adults in charge, not the underage minors. Never forget that ultimately it's the adults responsibly to make those decisions. And trying to make the students think they are 'limiting' their funds is passing undeserved and unrealistic expectations onto the students. It's one thing to try and make students more responsible, and yet another to punish them for things beyond their control. Like getting sick. Also, there's no need for the response about silly things other states allow, since Konata, you did not specify that it only applied to your place. At least not initially. As for myself, since I go to college and pay my tuition in advance and attendance only affects my grade if I miss too much or get behind, if I'm really sick. I stay home and rest. Though that doesn't happen very often since I'm rarely so sick that I can't attend school.

Alright, I changed my picture. And I like the new one better anyways, so win-win.
You're not the only one who likes it better. But then Guy from Tales of the Abyss is very adorable. Heh. Anyway, since it seems that smaller pictures are turning out to be a problem I too have uploaded a better picture for you Sandy. :p It's no different other than I included some of what I cropped off in the first place.

Sheesh, Beth and Crystia, what's with all the objections? All I said was my own opinion, I'm not forcing anybody to be what they don't want to be... It's fine by me if Gavin plays your father, Crystia, really.
Because that was honestly one of the silliest things I've ever heard you say. lol And no offense Sandy, but your opinion often means I expect you to change it. Besides, it wasn't heated so much as it was me pointing out why I see no reason to change it. And to be fair I was giving you good solid reasons as to why I saw no reason to alter my character. Also... considering that Beth was using the graphic from Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney... I got the impression she was poking you instead of an outright heated objection. Oh and it goes without saying...
you need to be poked from time to time Sandy.
Though I just said it, didn't I? :p

It's great that you decided to sign in as a "brat", Crystia, but isn't you character a bit too young to be a son of Daedalus? I would see him as his grandson, rather, if that's alright with you (and Gavin, of course). Just trying to be consistent with the ages here, since it's not very believable that Daedalus would've become a father in the age of 53... ;D
Sandy, it's not alright. :p And as Shy already pointed out, it's not as unusual for someone to become a father in their fifties as you think. Maybe where you live but not here in the USA. And I speak from experience since I have an uncle who got remarried at fifty five and has himself a set of twins by his new wife. So no deal as it's more than believable.
I suppose I ought to give you fair warning then Crystia, Daedalus isn't the parental type. He'll likely spend as much, if not more time working on a new project of his than he will with his family. Indeed, I'd almost imagine that he'd leave Harrison up to his own devices in an effort to distil a sense of responsibility and maturity into the lad, or at least hope he tries to work on something to impress his father that actually merits his attention. There's a similar idea going on in my sign up, where Daedalus attempts to impress his father into giving him attention. You might say the condition is hereditary. Also, given that Daedalus is practically the god of weaponsmithing, Harry will like have an interest in his father's work. Now I just need a wife to provide a mother for the brat.
That's fine by me. It can be his mother that he drives nuts more than anything. And it was just an idea that I thought would be fun. Anyway, Sandy if you object to him being a son instead of a grandson, then you and I are going to disagree. In older societies without modern medicine like we have. It was not at all unusual for someone to remarry when older to a younger wife when their first one passed away. So how you're thinking it's unrealistic just boggles my mind since having a son when someone is in their fifties would have been common in older days. It certainly was in the state I'm currently living in. Remember, women often died early due to the dangers of giving birth so for someone to later remarry was not unexpected. Also, don't believe me that it's believable? Just go and read this please: Article
