1. And it looks like the owner of 'el sicko' has come forward. What with Beth healing the bastard in her post and all. lol Oh I just love those poison cards, they're so wonderfully evil. And unless I'm mistaken, didn't this happen to you last time Beth? Since Sandy switched the souls into different bodies so your character ended up poisoned instead of his in the Panopticon? Oh that's just too funny that you got nailed by the poison trap again! I mean, what are the odds of that happening? Hehe. And knowing that... that just makes my choice of what
or should I say who
to use my card on with my next post all the more interesting. Get working on those life points girl! I'm thinking that you are going to need them, and soon, very soon. :p
  2.
Anyway, about all this inside joke nonesense, it can be annoying at times. I do not like to be called Rat Boy for instance, in fact I take offense to it when anyone other than indifference uses it. She gets to because she is a personal friend who even asked permission to call me that, so really it should only be an 'inside joke' between the two of us - it's not as inside as I'd like it to be right now ^^;;
lol When I decided to put that in my signature after asking you if you cared, I didn't expect other people to start calling you that. So it's an inside joke that was never intended to take off. I do find it hilarious that people are actually spending time and energy to get upset over inside jokes though. I've been seeing some form of that since I joined and like Rach... It never occurred to me to think OB was lame because of the jokes, instead I went and made friends and got involved in things around the site. Anyway, in the two plus years that I've been here activity is always fluctuating. From more busy to less active to more busy and on and on, an endless cycle. And like Charles said...
OtakuBoards is always dying from something. Strict rules, inside jokes Gavin and Alex-- the list goes on and on. Join my RPGs if you want to save OB.
So what are all of you waiting for? Quit whining! He already posted the solution! Go and join his RPGs! lol
  3.
I been doing a lot of fanifction reading laty and I nocited. When I read for hours and hours on the computer once I stop I am sorta like a zombie. What has happoned to you from watching to much anime or reading to much fanfiction ?:catgirl:
Others have already said it, but too much of anything will do that to you, not just fanfiction and watching anime or reading. Good or bad quality, both will turn you into a zombie if you watch or too much.
I, on the other hand, will have to disagree with you. (Pleasantly, of course.) Using a preestablished character is inadvisable because in order to use the character effectively one has to understand them on an almost intimate level, which is something most fledgling writers will be incapable of doing. And unless they are told to play true to the character, they won't get any better at it. Starting with one's original forces one to play them true. (The same applies to using another's universe?though not to the same degree, I feel.)
And I will turn around and disagree with you. Using a pre-established character is a good start for someone who is new to writing since the basics of their personality as well as the environment are already there for the writer to play around with. Just ask Rach, the same is done with composing, they are encouraged to take an existing popular melody and alter it and produce a piece as a means to practice. The same goes for writing. It's a hell of a lot less intimidating to play with an existing story than it is to attempt to completely create your own. It doesn't matter if they are capable of understanding the characters on an intimate level, that's something that if they really are serious about, comes with time and practice. The only danger here is never moving past using someone else character, or never attempting to break the mold. But by no means should people steer away from it altogether.
Also, most young fanfiction writers don't want good criticism, though they may say otherwise. They see only the scene(s) they want to happen, and very few care enough to attempt to improve on the process of getting there. Usually if young writers get good, hard criticism, they wilt and lose heart.
Don't confuse kids just having fun with people who really are attempting to write a good fan fiction. And so what if some of them never want to improve? It is after all, for a lot of them, nothing more than something they do for fun. Plus there's no reason why you can't give them good criticism such as spelling and grammar issues without slamming them on everything that is off in the story. If it's obvious that they are new to it, then simply tailor your criticism to match what they are ready to deal with instead of completely and totally nit picking every little mistake. That discourages them more than anything.
EDIT: It's okay Shy. If you're ugly, we won't respect you any less. :p
Go back and check the thread where people posted their pictures Rev, Shy is anything but ugly. lol He's one of the cutest guys in the entire thread. Anyway, in the end if you're turning into a zombie from reading fan fiction, and watching anime, then it's time to get off your butt and go do something else for a while. If you have a dog take them on a walk, or if you're into DDR do that for a while. Anything but sitting and watching a screen of some kind.
  4. Jachym toyed with the power he had been granted, deciding if now was the time to use it or if it would be better to wait a bit first. At this point, it was possible that three of the other Gods had the ability to counter it. Just enough to make determining who did what a tiny bit harder. He could tell that the others were just waiting, watching to see what he would do next. With a smile, he turned his attention back to the souls within the Ragnarok. Cho Hee, took her leave of the house that her and Joe and Marta had come to. It hadn?t been too bad, at least not until the fool Marta had gotten herself drunk, and to find out that she had murdered her husband in a fit of jealousy? Cho just shook her head, still disgusted by what she had seen. She began to wander though the city, since Cho had no interest in leaving, not after what had happened to poor Reiko. A thought that just thinking about it made her sick. Still as she came around the corner of one of the buildings and saw one man kneeling next to another one, Cho tried to turn and leave but almost instantly the one kneeling turned at the sound of her footsteps. ?Hey!? He called out. ?Can you help me here?? It was with trepidation that Cho actually approached the young man and the other one lying on the street. She still couldn?t control the power given to her and the very last thing she wanted was to have two men bothering her. I should leave, she thought as she hesitantly stood next to the young man on the ground who was coming around. He looked okay to her. ?He looks fine to me,? Cho said indifferently as she started to move to continue on her way. ?What?s the matter with you?? Ash said incredulously as he stood up and walked over angrily towards Cho Hee, grabbing her arm and forcing her to stop. ?How could you leave someone lying on the street like that?? ?Let go of me,? Cho said in a cold voice. ?It?s all right,? Jamie said, even as he slowly started to sit up. ?I?m fine.? Shocked Ash turned to see Jamie start to get up. ?But?? Jamie shrugged, ?I can?t explain it either, you?d have to ask the woman who gave me the ability to heal. All I know is that I seem to take on the other person?s injuries and then the power heals them. Though it takes time it seems.? Jamie finished standing up. Cho tugged furiously, pulling her arm free. ?I told you he looked fine.? She growled, disgusted at how a mere touch had made her want to scream. Nothing like Reiko, who even though she had used the power the strange woman had given her? Just remembering that night was enough to make her shudder in both revulsion over the sin of being with another woman as well as with desire for how caught up she had been in the moment. What?s the matter with me? ?I can?t believe you.? Jamie said in disgust. ?How could you just grab a woman like that. What the hell is the matter with you?? ?What?? Ash was surprised. ?She was going to just leave you there to die!? ?Don?t play dumb,? Jamie snarled, ?I heard her say I looked fine, perhaps it?s you who needs your eyes checked since it?s obvious someone attacked you in the first place. I mean what kind of guy is willing to let a beautiful woman like that run around all by herself? What if the person who mugged you attacked her as well?? Beautiful? Cho Hee took a step back. No! Please tell me that I heard wrong! I don?t like men. She tried to search her own feelings to see if that same fire she had felt before was present, but her own feelings were in too much turmoil for her to tell. Oh Gods, no! I have to get out of here! With a strangled cry she turned and ran. ?Now look what you?ve done? I should have never helped you.? Jamie said with a look of disgust towards Ash. ?Hey! Don?t be like that! I really thought you were going to die!? Ash protested. Jamie just shook his head and took off after Cho. I can?t let her roam alone! Whoever roughed up Ash would have no qualms about hurting the woman, and for reasons he couldn?t explain, he felt drawn to her, powerfully so. Even though he had never met her before. It?s a good thing this healing bit fixes me back up, he thought as he ran. Otherwise I?d never be able to catch her! Though he was still too out of breathe to be able to call out to her. Then as he rounded a corner, for a moment he thought he had lost her, until he caught the tiniest bit of movement of a door leading into one of the buildings being shut. Without hesitation he ran up the stairs and into the building, running right into Cho Hee who had only moved a few steps into the living room of what appeared to be a home. ?Whoa!? Jamie said when she tried to pull away and fell over the edge of the large sofa, he ran around to the other side, quickly grabbing her to help her back up. The moment he touched her, the feeling of being drawn to her intensified as if he was on fire. It was so powerful that without even thinking about it he was drawing her into his arms, running his hands along her body, while whispering how beautiful she was. ?No, No, NO!? Cho Hee protested as she tried to pull free. ?You don?t understand! I?m not beautiful, you?re being controlled by a power I posses.? She tried to shove him away but Jamie was much stronger than she was, with her slender and tiny build. But Jamie was lost, totally enthralled by the power that had been given to Cho. He no longer heard her cries of protest, her tears as he forced her down on the sofa and took her. All he could hear was the siren song of passion calling out to him. Cho Hee was in turmoil, unable to control her raging feelings, to bring the power she had been given under control. She tried to pull free, tried to tell herself that it was happening to someone else, but in the end, all she could do was cry as the unknown stranger raped her. And wish that she had never been given the strange power by the unknown woman.

  6. Commodore and High Council member Sandra Luciana, along with her Commander Jared Scorer and her newest Sub-Commander Vallon Drace were gathered in the observation room of the Creator. Each of them sitting at the conference table with a holographic screen up in the center of the table showing Stevens along with his Commander and Sub-Commander of the Conqueror in the observation room there. Now that all personnel were on board the two flag ships as well as the rest of the fleet that would be going to sector seven and participating in the upcoming mission, it was time to briefly go over their plans. "As you can see gentlemen," Sandra was saying. "A special strike force has already been detached and is in position to disable the border defenses between sector one and sector seven." She tapped the input in front of her and the screen split into two views, one of those on the Conqueror and one of the border. 'The strike force will be timing their attack to occur just before we will be passing the area in hyperspace. In addition to disabling the defenses, they will be setting up a wide range jamming frequency to make sure no reports of the attack reach the representatives in sector seven." Sandra paused to change the view to one of a map of the three planets in sector seven. "It will take us approximately a week to arrive after passing the border. It is possible that someone will get clear of the jamming in order to warn them of the impending attack so it is vital that everyone is battle ready before we emerge from hyperspace." Sandra input a command and each world on the map lit up in different colors. "Now I, along with Vallon Drace will be seizing the main home world in sector seven. Our last intelligence reports indicate that the three representatives of that sector who have turned traitor are located there. While I will be dealing with the defenses and the few battle ships in the area, Drace will be leading the assault transports to re-take the main world there." The world tinted in green stopped flashing and then the one in red began to flash. "Stevens, along with the Conqueror will be re-taking the slave world where parts for ships are manufactured." The the red stopped flashing and the one in blue started. "Jared will be taking the battle ships assigned under his command to take over the slave world where the plants necessary for the special explosives are grown." Sandra paused for a moment, as if giving people a chance to speak. When no one did she continued. "Stevens and I will be issuing the appropriate orders as well as the rest of the details to this operation. Study them well, and be sure to address any questions you have before we arrive in sector seven." She looked around. "Any questions?" Stevens just offered her a lopsided smile as his answer. "Good, set course for sector seven, we leave at 0800 hours. Dismissed." Sandra ended the communication before turning to Jared and Vallon. "I've already sent the necessary information to your quarters, it should be waiting for you when you log in to the terminal at your desk. One thing to remember," Sandra turned to address Vallon Drace. "What happens to the citizens in sector seven does not concern me, by foolishly backing the Resistance or rather New Alliance as they are calling themselves, they chose to accept the dangers involved. However, the three representatives for that sector are another matter." Sandra gave Drace her full attention, giving him a stern glance. "I know perfectly well about your reputation in battle Vallon Drace. When it comes to the three representatives, just remember that we do need them alive. I don't expect you to be gentle with them, but I will not tolerate any accidental deaths. Understood?" "Of course sir," Drace replied with a slight bow. "Good. Now, it's time to get ready to make the jump to hyperspace." Sandra left the observation room and went back to the bridge with Jared and Vallon right behind her. She took her seat as they took theirs and then several hours later, right on schedule, the fleet made the jump to hyperspace.
  7.
$200 for Crystia, I need to save the rest for...um...accessories ;). So do I win, do I win?
Does this mean I can't buy myself back for the buy it now price of $10 Beth? If not... Then that's a problem. Me being able to actually out bid that price, especially since I just put in an order for a new custom build computer so I'm 100% broke at the moment. I wouldn't even have the $10 except for what I got from you paying the buy it back price for Rach Beth. lol
  8. Hmmm... I say that it looks like DeathKnight is going to ChibiHorsewoman, enjoy! ;) So that means I need to put something else up yes? Hmm... I suppose since BKstyles already picked on SunfallE how about I pick on the other moderator of OL? So with that in mind I place Rachmaninoff up for sale. Why would you want him? If you love classical music, having your own musician would certainly be fun. Unless you don't like the Cello. lol And yes he really is good at playing since music is his career, at least it better be after all the money he wasted on buying a more expensive instrument! Anyway... The starting bid on that is of course $0.01 and like DeathKnight, if you want to buy yourself back Rach it'll cost you more than just a penny. :p
  9. Jachym toyed with his card, watching the souls in the Ragnarok carefully. Now that the others had put their cards forth, with the exception of Illyria, it was time for his power to be put to use. Just as it was time to show just how terrible the wrath of the sea was. His power was not limited to controlling the sea, but all of water, even that within a mortal soul’s body. As he watched one of the souls who was approaching one of the buildings to enter it, he tossed his card into pool. No explanation was necessary, just the touch of the power would be enough for the soul to realize it. Much in the way that Treisleilai’s power of Bloodlust immediately called to the bearer’s nature. No, the built up anger and rage of the one he had chosen would work perfectly, letting him tap in to the more subtle nature of his power. Combined with the Bloodlust, it would make a terrible combination. Christopher did not know why he had left the other youth behind, even if he was a bit older than he preferred, taking him would have at least given him some relief. It had reached the point that it was almost unbearable, the desire to feel himself sliding into anther was so strong that it was painful, enough that he finally picked what looked like an empty hotel. As he opened the door an odd sensation overcame him, much like what had happened when he had been struck by the overwhelming desire last night. Only this time, as odd as it seemed it was if he could suddenly sense the very water in the air and for a brief moment, like an elaborate spider web he could feel all of the water through out the entire city, even that which was within one’s body. And then the feeling faded, though it felt as if he could control water somehow. He shrugged it aside and entered the building, taking the stairs up to where the rooms were located. He had only made it to the top when an pregnant woman came out of one of the rooms. Christopher froze, he had no interest in talking to women. But she had other ideas, standing there dressed in a nightgown. “Well it’s about time you showed up!” She declared bossily. “What kind of idiot abandons their hotel and can’t be bothered to see to the needs of their guests? I expect your finest breakfast to make up for such boorish manners.” “Excuse me?” Christopher said with surprise. “I am not one of the employee’s here, if you want breakfast, fetch it yourself you ill mannered bitch.” Charlotte sputtered in indignation and then without thinking took a few steps forward to slap Christopher, but he caught her hand easily. His own features twisting in rage. He had put up with condescending women long enough. First his mother and her never ending rants about how horrible men were, the doctor he had been forced to attend and now this? Charlotte tried to pull free as if realizing that she had gone to far, but Christopher cruelly twisted her wrist, forcing her around so it was twisted up behind her back. Charlotte gasped in pain. “Stop that! You’re hurting me!” But Christopher was beyond hearing as he shoved her face first into the wall, holding her there with her aim pinned behind her back while he opened the door and then grabbed her with both arms and shoved her into the room violently. And when she moved to scream he struck her hard on the back of her head. Without a sound, she fell to the floor, unconscious from the blow. Christopher was debating what to do when the sound of someone else moving around caught his attention. Quickly he moved to the door, opening it just a crack. A young man was coming down the hallway, carrying what looked like a tray with food for two on it. He looked like he was a bit young, but it was likely that he was the woman’s husband. So that’s the unfortunate soul who is married to that bitch. Christopher closed the door and waited to see what would happen. Sure enough moments later there was a knock at the door. Then a few minutes later another as a muffled voice could be heard. “Charlotte? It’s me Kenneth, I’ve brought you some breakfast.” Christopher was about to ignore the calls when yet another wave of the intense desire he had been feeling washed over him. Even if the one calling himself Kenneth wasn’t as young as he preferred… Just the thought of what he could do decided him. Smiling to himself he opened the door, staying behind it and out of sight. “Charlotte?” The young man said in confusion as he took a few steps into the room. After setting the tray down on the small table next to the door. Christopher didn’t give him a chance, instantly hitting him hard, only barely missing the back of Kenneth’s neck, causing him to stagger instead of being knocked out. “What the hell?” Kenneth exclaimed as he tried to turn to see his attacker, only to be distracted by the sight of Charlotte lying on the floor unconscious. “Charlotte!” As the stranger rushed him Kenneth reached out and managed to grab the teapot with the water in it off of the tray by the door, he swung it, fully intending to hit the unknown man in Charlotte’s room. But suddenly the teapot stopped in midair. What the hell? Before he could wonder what had happened it pulled free of his grasp on it’s own and slammed into his face, knocking him backwards. He barely had time to realize what had happened when the unknown man was upon him, knocking him to the floor and then beating and kicking him without mercy, ignore his cries of pain until finally a few well placed blows to the head left Kenneth feeling too dazed to move. He tried feebly to get up but his assailant grabbed him by the shirt and dragged him over to the bed, tossing him there. Kenneth tried to move but never in his most horrible nightmares could Kenneth have guessed what would happen next as the unknown man tore his clothing off of him and tied him up before proceeding to rape him. Ignoring his tears as he begged him to stop. Then as he felt something wrap around his neck he struggled in vain with what little strength he had left, until finally everything went dark. Christopher was too far gone into what he was doing, sinking into that pleasure that only came from taking what he wanted. Kenneth’s tears and pleas falling on deaf ears. It wasn’t until later, when he finally came to himself that he decided that keeping him around was pointless. He was too damn old, and he already knew that there was at least two others who were younger. Those he would be more careful with. Decided he pulled free, zipped up his pants and then wrapped a towel around Kenneth’s neck and then twisted it until he felt his neck snap. With an indifferent shrug he then left him there on the bed. Only pausing long enough to bend over and slam Charlotte’s head into the floor, since she was starting to come around. Satisfied, he grabbed a piece of toast off the tray as he left the room. Getting what he wanted always made him hungry. Then moments later he had left the hotel to leave and find another place to rest for a while.
  10. 1 - Do you think it is appropriate for political candidates to talk about their religious beliefs as part of their political campaigns, or do you think this is not appropriate? I don't see why not, in a way, I'd rather find out up front if they are going to be overzealous with using religion in their political stance. That way I'll know if their beliefs are something I would rather not see in action if they were to be elected. It's part of who they are so it's important to know about it. 2 - Do you think it is appropriate for religious leaders to urge people to vote for or against a political candidate, or is that not appropriate? Only if there isn't some sort of pressure that if they don't' vote a certain way they'll get in trouble with their religious leaders. The only problem I have with this in general is when they falsely represent or focus on only one aspect of a candidate or legislation instead of encouraging their followers to become more informed. 3 - Thinking about your vote for president next year, how important is it that a candidate SHARES your religious beliefs? I don't have religious beliefs so obviously it's not important to me at all. lol 4 - How important is it for a candidate to have STRONG religious beliefs, regardless of whether those beliefs are the same as yours? I don't really care so long as they don't try to favor one religion while in office or serving. The moment they put their religion or beliefs over others then it's important that they don't have strong beliefs, let alone actually serve.

  12. That is troublesome... It's good that we have a replacement for DB, but too bad that BKstyles needed to drop out as well. Even though it was getting dark outside, Cho couldn't stay. It wasn't the strange power either. She hated children and now, though she'd rather not admit it, she realized that she didn't like men either. Cho had spent so long keeping that fake smile plastered on her face that in truth, she felt like snapping. I've been hiding what I am all this time. Is that why she gave me this power? To force me to realize it? She continued to wander. I have to find out. As she wandered through the city, aimless picking a street without care or regard to where she was. Cho wondered just what had happened. The only thing she could think of was that she was dead, but if that were so, just what was this place? If she were to guess, based on the styles of the buildings and what the woman had told her, she would have to think she was not quite in heaven but rather somewhere. Like a spot in between. Do I have to accept things to move on? Never had she been so confused before. But then flashes of lights caught her attention and she froze, wondering just what was going on. Reiko was feeling restless, she didn't know Naomi, Kenneth or the stuck up Charlotte, but she had no problem recognizing disdain when it was so clearly spoken. Even now Charlotte's words rang in her ears, her objection to her even being around. Why in the world would a filthy heathen slave such as yourself even be allowed in this fine city? Reiko had been shocked, her a slave? What in the world had given Charlotte that idea? But when she had said nothing Charlotte had continued in that hateful and haughty voice of hers. You don't belong here, and the moment I find your master rest assured I will inform him of your shameless behavior. And with that... Charlotte had left to go and explore the building. Reiko was wondering if she should simply find another spot when she noticed what appeared to be a wall of flame running along the streets heading towards her location. At first it was fascinating to watch as it ran along the street, lighting the torches that were located along the outside of all the buildings. But then it hit her that though it was not damaging the buildings... All that was outside was being turned to ashes. She turned to run back to the building where the others were only to realize that the time she had spent gawking had resulted in her being cut off. Reiko turned to run for the closest building, wondering if she would make it in time. At the last possible moment she got the doors open, and slipped inside. For a brief second the heat from the flames washed over her and then they were gone as they moved on. With a sigh of relief she turned to look at where she had found herself. Reiko was not about to leave after what had just happened. It was then that she realized she was not alone, another woman, who was also Asian, was standing there, watching her with the oddest expression on her face, it reminded her of the look she had gotten from her boss who had threatened to fire her if she had not slept with him. Is everyone in this place nuts? "Uh... I'm Reiko." She stammered, uncomfortably aware of just how beautiful the woman really was. "I'm Cho." Cho Hee responded as she searched Reiko's face wondering if the two of them seeking shelter in the same building was also arranged by the woman who had given her this strange power. It was clear that she couldn't properly control it, for the more upset or emotional she felt the stronger the feeling of fire running through her became. It was like she was the one being controlled instead of her controlling it. She took a step towards the other woman, apologizing in advance for what she was going to do. But just like with Ian, Reiko's stance changed as she watched her approach. "I'm sorry." Cho whispered as she took her into her arms and gave herself over to the fire that was now coursing through her veins. Cho ignored Reiko's small attempts to protest before she too was consumed by the power of passion. And somewhere, a tiny part of Cho's mind screamed in horror over what she was doing, at the sin she was committing.

X)
Exactly! That's just how it works and though so far the city they are in has seemed tame and normal... I'm about to change that with the coming of night.
Oh, and don't you ever relate political correctness to this game. There's absolutely nothing PC about this, and that's the way it should be. ;D
It's redundant, but I so agree. And now... I'm off to post, the only problem I'll have is deciding is just what to add next since I have several ideas running through my mind. EDIT: Just in case it's not totally obvious I have taken the slant that when someone is emotional or upset, they can't control Bellanna's power very well and end up being the one affected. :p
  16.
It's gunna be a long-ass time because this weekend was my lil bro's b-day and I've got a sh*t-f*ck*ng-*ss load of sh*t to do for school that's making my tear my own brain out of my ears.
Goofing off here at OB is one of the things I do for a break. lol Even with all the homework and stuff I have to do. After all I did start the doctorate program for my major this semester. Though a huge percent of my school work is observation and lab work so once I leave... I'm done. Anyway, if I think of something I'll toss it in, but I was holding back since Adrian's first thought would be to go and start killing off the vampires to get the Count's attention, and you specifically suggested that we don't do that. So I was waiting to see what the next twist was. So I guess I'll keep waiting.
  17. It seems that we missed explaining the time experienced when it comes to traveling between sectors Beth. Anyway... Just a heads up for everyone. Travel between sectors is not within a single day. Depending on the target it takes between one to two weeks. Being precise is not a big issue, but going to sleep and waking up in the next sector just isn't going to work inwardscream since it will put you totally out of sync with everyone else and rush things too quickly. My apologies that we forgot to clarify this point. The idea of having travel time is to help make it so others don't have to run and get their posts in to match as far as the actual days go. For example the Liberator is going to be traveling to sector eleven, taking approximately two weeks. So the idea would be that it took you a week to get from sector eleven to ten and then another week to get back. If that does not make sense let us know and we'll work something out to help it be more clear.
  18.
I don't mean to be offensive, and if it comes across to others as bad characterization or racism I can remove it altogether. I'd definitely like to hear some other people's thoughts about this, and I'll try to be more careful in the future.
Ha! I think my response to Darren saying you made him sad should tell you what I think on it. It's a game, people being taken to The Ragnarok is pure fiction. And when you consider the power cards that are going to end up in the game... Trying to avoid racism or bad characterization is going to be subjective and depend on the person. Honestly, I see no point in worrying over it. If I did, I would not have followed up by making Christopher worse since he could have simply just been homosexual and suppressing it instead of a child rapist. lol
  19.
Farah: Shy, you made me sad with how you portrayed an Afghanistan woman. I don't beleive that she would ever do that to anyone, regardless of how she was raised... I guess it just seems like a political stereotype what with the war in Iraq going on...
Oh don't be so silly. This game is about bringing out people's dark side regardless of where they are from or political BS. Don't worry about making declarations that a character wouldn't do something regardless of how they were raised. It's out of place here. Besides, Shy was following up on what DB set up when he introduced her in the first place. lol It's a game Darren... Not something to get sad over. :p
  20. Jared waited until he saw Vallon Drace's response to his quarters. The way he simply took it upon himself to get comfortable instead of standing and waiting for him to appear spoke volumes as to the type of man he was. With the huge main room, the side conference room, where he was standing in the doorway, along with the door to his office, kitchen and bedroom, it was clear that they were excessive compared to other ships. With a touch of a switch, all of the walls except the one to his bedroom became nothing more than simple metal square columns about a foot apart as the metal panels between them moved till they lay flat against the columns. Unless he was in a meeting, Jared preferred the more open mode it as it showcased the sheer amount of space he had even more. A few steps so that he was in the main area of the room and Vallon Drace was on his feet, offering the salute that was due, his eyes meeting Jared's briefly before he looked down. But Jared had not missed the hint of insincerity in his gaze. Though he did not care, those who sought power or raised to the rank required to even be considered for a command position on a flagship usually had their own agenda. He was about to speak again when he noticed a hint of white from what had to be a folder tucked into his tunic. They gave him paperwork? Jared sighed ever so slightly and turned to Pheonia Roth, who was patiently waiting for her orders. "Paperwork?" He chastised her. "Or was it one of the others who handed out such sensitive material in such an unsecured format?" Pheonia Roth bowed deeply before responding, "My apologies sir. I accept responsibility for the mix up." "Mix up?" Vallon Drace inquired even as he shrugged indifferently. "It was nothing more than the files for the worthless slaves on this ship. Hardly information that would be considered sensitive sir." Jared just held out the new hand held computer for Vallon and upon him taking it explained as he also handed him a data chip. "Usually you would be correct, however, on that chip is the details for two of the slaves under your command and it is expected that you review their files. The details to their treatment and placement come directly from the High Council so you would do well to be familiar with them." Jared cracked a small grin, after Vallon's statement of slaves being worthless, he would not like what he had to say next. "If anything were to happen to those two, you will be held directly responsible, so I suggest you make sure nothing does." He ignored Vallon's well hidden look of surprise and then Jared motioned for the file Vallon had been given and he tucked it into his own pocket once he handed the papers to him. He would destroy them when they were done. "Now that you will be working on the Creator, you will be using your new hand held computer along with the fleet update system for all information." Jared smirked just a tiny bit. "Paperwork is strictly out of the question for a Sub-Commander. Most if not all of the files you will be given will require high level security, which is provided on your hand held computer." Jared tossed him another data chip which Vallon caught with ease. "On that is the details regarding the loss of the Eclipse to the Resistance or New Alliance as they now call themselves." Jared ignored Pheonia Roth's wide eyed look of surprise at the news. In just a short while everyone would know about it, one couldn't keep the loss of a flagship a secret after all. "They seized it intact?" Vallon inquired. Jared nodded. "Then it's Commander must have not been much of an officer for such a thing to have happened." Vallon concluded coldly. "We have not heard from him since it was taken, so it is likely that he is dead." Jared explained. "No matter, the details to how the fleet has been reorganized for our first strike is on that chip as well, you'll need to review the details as to what is expected since we will be leaving shortly for sector seven." "Now before you go and take a moment to become more familiar with your own quarters, there is one other detail we need to take care of." Jared motioned to Pheonia Roth who was still waiting patiently for him to assign her to her next task. She came over and stood next to Jared and then turned and bowed directly to Vallon. "This is Pheonia Roth, she has been assigned to be your personal security and assistant while you are the Sub-Commander of the Creator. From this moment forward she answers directly to you as you have full authority over her." Jared watched Vallon's response with interest. It was a combination of perhaps distaste that he would even need security for his safety as well as curiosity as to even being given an assistant. "Her quarters are next to yours so that you can call on her at any time. Now unless there are any questions..." Vallon shook his head indicating that there were none. "Roth will show you to your quarters then, she has the schedule of when we will be leaving sector one, I'll see you on the bridge at the appointed time. Dismissed." Jared watched with interest as both of them left his quarters. He could be mistaken, but he doubted that he was. Vallon Drace was going to be interesting to watch in action. In time a bit of that arrogance that he seemed to hold would be properly knocked out of him. And if not, well Jared would make sure he wished that he had. As the doors closed behind the two his last thought before he went back to finishing the details for re-taking sector seven, was that it was a pity that Vallon was straight. He had not missed the acquisitive glance that Vallon had directed towards Pheonia Roth upon learning that he had full authority over her.
  21.
And yes, Christopher Francis is a terrible, troubled man. Gotta make use of that M-rating, you know? -Shy
But of course, and though I do not know which direction you intended to go with that, I have made it clear that the trouble he has is with young men and the abuse of said young men. :p
Also, and this might make you a bit happier, I've decided to lower the amount of points required to get a card from ten to seven. 22. "I have a strategy, do not worry. But randomness alwasy makes thing more interesting, wouldn't you say so?" Jachym merely said nothing to this statement, it was nothing more than Telumas usual attempts to hide her strategy, a true hunter did not rely on randomness. Without a doubt he was sure that her power had flown to who she desired to have it. And the ever so tiring statement that one who was biased should not be involved? In a way, even Jachym was tired of hearing the same old speech as each one of them through the millennia had made such grand statements many times over. Nitpicking at each other much in the way mortal children did. He studied the mortals with interest since though he had decided which one to give his power too, it was still just a tiny bit too soon to do so. With a smile he watched on. ***************************** Christopher Francis did not know how he had ended up in this strange city and on some level he didn't care. Family or not, supposed 'inner demons' or not, he was tired of society and their narrow minded views upon what they considered him to be. He was not homosexual, not in the sense that the damn doctor and the government thought. Did eating a cow make one a cannibal? Of course not! There was no point in talking to them since they would never understand that younger boys filled a need and were not an indication that he wished to spend his life with one. Or any other guy for that matter. He sighed from his vantage point of watching the only two people he had seen since he had found himself in the strange city. The older one had referred to himself as Ian, the younger one, the one that he was really watching called himself Patrick. How long had it been? Since those distasteful photographs had been found? From the strength of the urgings he was having, it had been far too long. It was a shame, as he watched the two of them enter one of the buildings across the street, that the boy was not alone. He didn't dare approach them so easily. At least not until he understood the situation a little better. And when he did... Just the thought of having Patrick all to himself was almost more than he could stand. There were all sorts of things he had always wanted to try but Christopher had been too afraid of being caught by those narrow minded fools who did not understand. He turned his attention back to the residence he was in, for that was what it was, someone's home, with beautiful furnishings and comfortable accommodation's. Even the very bathroom had been equipped with a full sunk in tub instead of a more modern shower. I wonder if the water is heated? He had noticed two handles for getting water. It had been such a stressful day and a hot relaxing bath as well as taking the time to relieve the urges he felt would be perfect. Decided Christopher went and checked, smiling a bit when he turned them on and discovered that one of them was indeed hot water. He didn't know how it was possible, what with the city being deserted and all, but since it was, there was no reason why he could not take advantage of it. As the water flowed he searched and found towels along with clothing in a more ancient style. Then once it was ready, he stripped down, and slipped into the water. Then moments later, once he was sure he was truly alone, he slipped into the mental fantasies he preferred as his hands slipped under the water and he brought himself to the brink and beyond as he imagined it was the boy servicing him and not his own hands.
  23.
Or simply snatch the BK from his user name and sell it for a penny. Sounds about right to me.
I'm sure I have a penny somewhere... Though I'd be willing to be generous and give you two. lol Anyway, oh how people are missing out on a bit of silly fun here. Mock bids on items and not to be taken seriously or such. So, in the spirit that this thread is intended, I propose that the next item to consider would be the custom title: The Irishman from Gavin's profile. ;) I mean what woman doesn't want an Irishman? Or what guy doesn't what the chance to be one so he can get the ladies? And since Gavin suggested that starting from a penny would be a good way to go since the other price for the E seemed so expensive to Gavin, the starting bid for his custom Title is $0.01 Though if you wish it back, it will cost you more than that Gavin. lol :p
  24. I wouldn't worry about it DB, at this rate, what with some of us managing to lose points due to the cancel effect, I'm wondering if anyone is ever going to get a death or life type card. lol
  25. Jachym smiled at the irritation in Illyria voice over Celesta bestowing her power so quickly. He had yet to decide just who would receive his power but he could understand why Celesta had put her own strategy in motion. The real question was determining just what her strategy really was. "You always were a bit slow in understanding why the rest of us do things in the manner we see fit Illyria." He said scornfully. "Bellanna is correct, perhaps madness has clouded your judgment." Illyria glared at him, her eyes narrowed, "Just as the endless seas have washed away any judgment that you might have had." "Let us pay attention to the game brethren instead of bickering among ourselves." Paraxis chided. With a mocking half bow towards Illyria, Jachym turned his attention back to the pool. All of the chosen souls had arrived, it was time to truly begin. *********************************** Ian was sunk in the deepest of grief and despair as the King's guard finally removed his bonds to shove him into the confines of the cell. But as he stumbled through the door he was struck by a flash of light so bright that instinctively he closed his eyes. Confused by the sudden change in temperature since he could feel warm sunlight upon his back, he opened his eyes and stood there, wondering if he had slipped into madness. For he was in an open field just outside what appeared to be a wondrous village with buildings made of the finest craftsmanship he had ever seen. Confused he stumbled towards the city, made of what seemed to be a type of smooth stone. But the closer he got, the more confused he became. There was no sounds to be heard and when he finally walked through the gates, it was clear that in spite of the open market with foods in the stalls, there was no one there. "Where am I? What is this place?" He wondered aloud as he found a spot to sit down, exhausted by all that had happened. He was wondering what to do next when a youth stumbled out of the doors of one of the closet buildings. He was coughing and running hunched over as if something troubled him, until finally Ian saw him stumble and roll down the stairs uncontrollably before coming to a rest. Ian was considering what to do when the youth finally started to get up, looking behind him in panic before finally turning around to look at the surroundings. He seemed to be just as confused as Ian was, though upon seeing him he froze in place. Decided Ian stood up and approached him. "Excuse me, but do you know where we are?" He halted when the youth looked like he was going to run. "No." Patrick finally spoke up, looking past Ian at the food that was out. "Are you the owner of this market place?" Patrick asked, forgetting in his hunger that Ian had just indicated that he didn't know where they were. "No, like I said, I don't know where I am. I don't even know how I got here." Ian tried to put a calm expression on his face, but it was hard, all he could think of was poor Joshua. "My name is Ian, what is yours?" "Patrick sir." Once again he glanced at the food, it had been such a long time since his last real meal. The church, though the food was plain, was not stingy, but with seven siblings, it was never enough. This Ian seemed friendly enough... He knew better than to steal but as he looked around yet again and saw that no one else was around he finally gave in. Picking up an apple to eat, and when Ian seemed to give it no mind, he sat down and helped himself. Ian thought to say something but changed his mind. The poor boy was painfully thin, not like his poor Joshua who though they lived a simple life, always had enough. Besides, other than the youth he still had seen no one else around. If there truly was no one it would be wasteful to allow so much food to go to waste. He ignored Patrick in favor of entering one of the buildings to go to the top level and look out. He ignored the pain from the wounds he had received, oddly, from the moment he had found himself in this strange new place they had nearly vanished. But when he reached the top and could look out. He was chilled by seeing nothing but more buildings and no signs of life beyond the boy who was still down on the street helping himself to the food there. With a tiny sigh, Ian turned to head back down only to stumble when he accidentally hit a small well crafted statue, tipping it over. He reached to grab it and missed. Ian couldn't help but wince as it struck the floor and broke into pieces. That's probably worth more than our entire village! Hastily he left the room not wishing to be caught by whoever owned the place. Moments later he was back on the street, wondering what to do next.
