1. Well I'm fine with that, though I am curious what that means about Esper Jam being connected with Shinigami Dance. I assume that since GuyYouMetOnline is taking over that the connection you spoke of will no longer be there? After all you did say that things that happen in one will affect the world of the other DB. Though if there isn't a connection anymore, that's fine too. I'll still be around for both.
 2.
long as we're cutting down, you could probably remove the word 'Last' as well.
This will be rather ironic if that does happen. I'll go from having the huge long bit about myOtaku and guestbook and such to having this huge bit instead: Category Moderator of Entertainment I can't win. lol Though truth be known, I like both. Heh.
 3.
That would be great. I deleted my myOtaku account a while ago (hadn't used it for over a year), but the link leading nowhere is still up...
Traitor, you had the cutest avatar for your site too! lol
Myself, I'd just like to remove those two links altogether, but I need to check in with James on what he wants to do with them.
I certainly wouldn't mind seeing them gone.
Now I look naked. ^^
That's what I thought when I tested it. So I went and reattached it immediately. Though if Des hadn't asked me to test it I wouldn't have detached it in the first place. lol Though I do like how it's smaller now.
 4.
I know that. I just thought one kill was enough.
Actually more than one seems fine. It's probably best to not kill too many though. lol Besides, I ended up not killing anyone off, at least not yet. I'm curious to see what GuyYouMetOnline does first. Still torching large, flying birds that were annoying was fun. Heh.
 5. Vanyel didn't like it, even though they had found one person so far, with the limited time available to them it was apparent that finding the rest of the people in the short time that they had was next to impossible. And though it didn't surprise her, finding out that there were large powerful carnivores on this world as well made her uneasy. Sure they could use their abilities to protect themselves, but still. That would require them to waste time and energy that would be better used elsewhere. They had long since left the valley behind, but now they were steadily heading up the side of a small hill. It was much like the overlook they had come to when they first came to the valley, but something about it bothered her and she couldn't say just what. Every now and then she caught the edge of a strange sound, one that Vanyel had never heard before. But it was far from frequent and it never lasted for very long. She was about to dismiss it when they finally came to the top of the hill or rather the edge, giving them an overview of where they were. Hell! All across the top was a colony of some type of animal with wings, giant birds that reminded her of pictures she had seen in a book in one of the many libraries she had been to since she had been on her own. We need to get the hell out of here! She thought to the others. Agreed, Tasha thought back. Slowly the group tried to back away, but the bird in the closest nest opened its eyes, instantly attracted by the movement. And though they all froze instantly it was too late. With a shrill cry it rose into the air, rousing the rest of them with it's warning. "Shit!" Vanyel swore even as they took off in an attempt to fly away themselves, but taking to the air was a mistake, the strange birds instantly followed them, easily closing the gap. Within moments they would catch them. Now what? She thought desperately at the others, even as she checked to see how close the birds were. Over there! Tasha replied, showing them the mental picture of a set of caves ahead of them. But even to Vanyel it was obvious that they would never make it in time. I have to do something, she thought to herself. Otherwise those things will catch us. And she did not want to become some animal's dinner. I don't have a choice. Grimly she came to a halt, hovering between her group and the approaching birds. What are you doing Vanyel! Tasha yelled in her mind. There are too many of them! I'm going to set it free. Vanyel replied grimly. She did not bother to explain, she wasn't sure how to. All Vanyel knew was that under the right circumstances her ability to create fire was terrible. She had started to learn to control it, but that control was not complete, being exposed to the phenomena at Stonehenge had made it even stronger. More difficult to contain, and though her teachers were patient, she was far from gaining true control over it. Vanyel could feel it lingering at the surface, just waiting to be set free. Much like it had when it had gotten lose before, when she had been caught by a roaming gang. In her fear of what was about to happen it had broken lose then, burning the gang members from the inside out and then it had burned the building to the ground. I just hope I can stop it when it's done. The last time, she had passed out and woke up later in a hospital. Tasha started to come back but Vanyel snapped at her. Stay back you fool! And then the birds were upon her, reaching with their powerful beaks and claws in an attempt to rend her to pieces. At the same time fire burst forth, turning the air around Vanyel into an inferno, a wall of flames that moved outwards and turned everything it touched into ashes. Vanyel concentrated on attempting to contain it, to keep it from spreading too far, not even aware that little flames were dancing around her own body, leaving her untouched. And then as the last of the birds took off in the opposite direction Vanyel could feel herself starting to become faint. No... not now! I can't pass out again! Not yet! She fought to stay conscious as the flames died and she started falling to the ground. Vanyel slowed her decent, but she wondered if she would make it to the ground before she lost it. Then just as she was about to lose it someone caught her. Surprised she realized that it was Tasha. You idiot! Tasha told her, even as she slowed her decent and then grasped Vanyel and flew back to where the other three were waiting. I am not an idiot. Vanyel protested weakly and then darkness claimed her as she passed out.
 6. Y. Meetings Adrian had saved the part of the city he was checking for last for a very good reason. Nathan had taken up residence in that area and he was positive that he was not the Shinigami who was missing. Nathan was in the last part of the north eastern side of the city, in an apartment complex. Why he bothered with the charade of it being occupied with a ghost Adrian didn't know, his own place, he simply let them think he really was human. It was much simpler and attracted far less attention. But then Nathan did things differently than he did. He was, even for a Shinigami, eccentric. But like everything else, Adrian didn't care, except for one tiny detail. And that was that Nathan really was smart. He couldn't help but smile at that thought, because like everything else, knowing that a fellow Shinigami was smarter than yourself, didn't bother Adrian either. But in this case, if he really was going to find who was missing, though as he got closer and Nathan's aura could be felt, he was positive that it was Aeru who had been taken. Everyone else had been accounted for. But still, if they were going to find Aeru, he was sure that by now Nathan probably had something in mind, provided the vampires hadn't gotten to him yet. Though he imagined that if they had, it would have been to toy with him like they had done to him and Astera earlier. Adrian paused and pulled out his cell phone, sending off a message to Lucia, indicating that he would meet them later, then after pocketing it he headed straight for Nathan's residence at the top of the complex. He did not bother with the equivalent of knocking as a human would have done, by now Nathan would have detected his aura and would know he was coming. Sure enough as he ghosted through the walls, Nathan was already turned towards where he was located his eyes narrowed as he watched Adrian and Astera enter his home. "I was expecting you." Nathan said. No greeting or his usual light banter that he was so fond of. Telling Adrian that the vampires had paid him a visit as well. "Then I don't have to tell you why I'm here then, do I?" Adrian replied. "Isen!" Astera said as she took off and flew over to where Isen was on the counter. "They didn't hurt you did they?" "No Astera, they did not." She looked over to Nathan who was still tense. "Damn cowards!" Nathan hissed. "They came while I was out." "I figured as much, they paid me a visit while I was checking to see who was missing. It was nothing more than a game to prove that they can indeed see us and interact with a Shinigami." Adrian frowned a bit, he had never seen Nathan look so annoyed. I wonder if he's dealt with vampires before? "Anyway, I've already talked to Lucia, who has talked to Alex. And though I did not bother to say hello, I saw Shalua as well. So the only one we have not found is Aeru. Since the others checked the city as well, it means that she must be the one who was taken. Everyone else has been accounted for." Adrian looked down at the letter that Nathan was still holding in his hand, noticing how it was clenched tightly. He looked over to see Astera and Isen discussing something in hushed tones. Adrian looked back to Nathan, who was clearly thinking about something. "I'm sure I don't have to tell you why I am here, since you are holding the very same letter that I also received. I don't know about Shalua, but Lucia and Alex received one. As soon as I'm done here I'll be going to meet up with them. The question is do you wish to come along?" Adrian waited patiently, at least for him that is, in another moment he would simply leave. Whether or not Nathan answered, but then Nathan looked down at the letter he was holding and then back up at Adrian. "I need to go somewhere first, before meeting up with the others." Nathan finally replied. "Fine by me." Adrian said with a shrug as Astera upon hearing that took off and came back over to sit on Adrian's left shoulder. Still a bit worked up from their meeting with the vampires earlier. "Lets get going then!" She said firmly. "We have to save poor Aeru from those rotten vampires!"
 7.
Ah, someone finally replied! Well, let me explain what happened. You see, I had already written a good amount of the next chapter, and it was absolutely fantastic. Then a power outtage delete dthe whole thing since the mac has no damn failsafe for notepad documents. I was furious, naturally. I hate writing the same thing twice, so I want to do something totally differen, but I don't even remotely feel inspired about this story anymore. As you can see, I even removed it from my sig. I'll compenste with something different, don't worry.
I wondered why you had not written more. Even if I have not commented I have been reading it. Pity about the power outage bit. That's where having a laptop like I do comes in handy. Nothing like a battery to keep you from losing everything you're working on when the power goes out. Trust me, it's saved me from going insane when I'm working on lengthy assignements for school. Anyway, hopefully you'll feel inspired again. I'll be sure to read it when that happens.
 8.
Hey, maybe next they can tackle classes based on race or gender! Because apparently, people aren't smart enough to learn about each other by actually interacting.
Since we are talking about sex ed here, letting kids learn about sexually transmitted diseases by interacting isn't exactly the best way to go about it. It's more than just teaching them how to do it. People focus so much on the fact that it's sex that they forget about one of the biggest reasons it needs to be taught. Educating them so they can make informed choices, not to get them to go out and have sex immediately. It's not about discovery here, it's about preventing unnecessary pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. And that's important whether its for so called straight people or ones who are gay. Most sex ed classes don't go into detail about having better sex or exploration, they cover the basics, which include the dangers involved. So saying they need to find out for themselves is pointless and on some level dangerous as well.
 9.
Well, the loser should have run faster. This should be fun. And I kind of agree. Details are nice, but not when they make getting to the action take forever. That and I'm curious to see your idea of cruelly enjoyable. Besides Allamorph will be sure to give us plenty of those details that the rest of us will kind of gloss over a bit. :p Also... SunfallE... That bit with Ruby was so her that I couldn't help but laugh.
 10. I don't know what DB has in mind, but rest assured, Adrian will end up doing a vampire in. I have a paticular view for how to write that one up. Also, I was thinking that Shinigami kill people because they destroy the connection between the soul and the body. I get the picture that the scythe doesn't actually do physical damage, but rather destroys that spiritual connection between body and soul. Or something to that effect. Also, unless you object DB, I do intend to have Adrian nail a vampire. Though it will probably be one that isn't connected to the ones that nabbed Aeru.
 11. Now that he had finished his dinner and put everything up as well as checking briefly to see if anything needed his attention, there was no reason why he couldn't go and check on Kerstin to find out why she had been avoiding him. Jared took one last moment to check and make sure she was actually in her quarters and then he put his hand held computer in the small pouch at his side. It took him very little time to get there since she was staying in one of the guest quarters in the Command Quarters section for the Creator. But when he pressed the panel to page her and the door opened, he was surprised to see Darren was there as well. But the very last thing he expected was for Kerstin to turn white and literally get up off the sofa and back away from him, tripping in the process, to land hard on the floor. "I don't understand!" She cried, "Kiva said I wouldn't be arrested!" Arrested? What is she talking about? Jared took a few steps towards Kerstin only to halt when Darren got up and inserted himself between him and Kerstin. "Don't do it Jared." He warned. "What's the matter with you two?" Jared asked. "What the hell are you talking about? I came here to find out why you've been avoiding me Kerstin." But Darren just stayed there stubbornly standing between him and Kerstin. Exasperated Jared pulled out his hand held computer and contacted Stevens. "What is it Jared?" Stevens asked when he answered. "What is going on with Kerstin? I'm at her quarters and she thinks I'm here to arrest her." He ignored their sudden intake of breaths and Darren who moved over to help Kerstin stand up and then take a position between them. "Ah, yes, well that would be because Kerstin figured out that Daniel Timbers was really Daniel Landers and failed to tell anyone." Stevens explained. "Kiva is convinced that she has no connection to the resistance and simply failed to tell anyone due to conflicting emotions that resulted from when Daniel protected her from Blaine." "I see," Jared said in a cold voice. "So Daniel got away then." "Actually, even though Kerstin confronted Daniel, for whatever reason he stayed in sector one. Though he did try to leave just now, but Kiva has disabled his ship and they're picking him up right now." "Good." Jared said. "I guess it seems that Blaine was right about him after all. Anyway, I take it that you will be following Kiva's recommendation then?" "I am, after reviewing everything that happened I agree with Kiva. And with the policy change, it's pointless to pursue it further. We've been punishing the innocent long enough. Though feel free to have her explain just how she found out about Daniel. It seems that Daniel's friend William has vanished and I'm sure he too must be a member of the Resistance, any clue we can get as to his whereabouts is important. Now unless you've any other questions, I have work to do. Stevens out." Jared closed his hand held computer and put it away. No wonder she's been avoiding me. Idiot. "All right, you heard Stevens, out with it. I expect you to tell me everything you told Kiva." Jared folded his arms and waited, but Kerstin was still upset. "Can't you wait and give her some time to calm down first?" Darren asked. "No, she should have told someone the moment she found out." He looked directly at Kerstin. "You've had more than enough time to be calm, don't make me force it out of you." "You jackass!" Darren exclaimed. "Gods! Every time I start to think you just might be a decent person after all, you pull something like this!" Jared ignored Darren as he stalked over angrily and stopped only a few feet away, glaring angrily at him. Inwardly he sighed a bit before responding. "Decent? It's my duty Darren. I have a responsibility to the soldiers who lost their lives to the attacks on Earth, the very same attack that resulted in you being taken prisoner by the Resistance cell that Daniel commanded. I owe it to them to bring the one responsible for their deaths to justice." Jared took a step closer, ignoring how Darren went pale. He started to pull back but Jared didn't let him, catching his left wrist with his right hand. "Every time I think you start understanding an officers duty you pull some lame emotional stunt like this." Jared shook his head. "You heard Stevens, I will not be arresting her, nothing is going to happen, unless she refuses to tell me how she found out. And seeing that she already told Kiva, there's no reason for her not to." Jared let go and turned to Kerstin. "I know," She said miserably. "I should have said something." And then she told Jared everything she had already told Kiva, answering Jared's questions as well. "Next time, don't keep something like that to yourself." Jared admonished her. Kerstin just nodded. He looked at both of them and sighed a bit. Sometimes civilians were such a pain to deal with. And then since it was obvious that neither one of them wanted to be around him, he left.
 12.
Okay indifference, my post is up. Even if Kerstin isn't going to be arrested, I'm sure Jared will still be mean. It's what he does best right? :p Though if you manage to toss in the one option that SunfallE mentioned to me at the beginning of this part... I'm gonna smack you. [Heh, I kid!]
Naturally, Jared isn't nice after all. Also... Don't tempt me. I'm still working on getting a good balance of him giving you grief without being too mean. :p Also, like A_M, I too am curious to know if Kiva overheard the conversation between Daniel and Daego. That opens up some interesting possibilities, I'm sure it would shock the hell out of Daego if he found out about Kiva. lol
 13. This isn't about whether or not homosexuality is wrong people. Or about changing them or converting them. It's about whether or not homosexuality should be included in sex ed. So lets try to stick to the topic and not get too far off on these tangents. Either you support the education being put in school or you don't. And though a certain amount of explaining why you think they shouldn't include it in sex ed is acceptable, derailing the thread to the point that it's lost isn't. Quit feeding the troll guys.
 14.
Right. Hope I didn't go overboard with the whole 'haunting' bit. Thought it was funny at the time, but then I wasn't entirely awake, either....
Not at all, I thought it was fun actually. Heh. Anyway, I probably would have done the piece thing before DB, but I left it till the end of my posts and forgot to go back and add it. So this time I put it in from the very beginning. Along with a tiny skirmish with the vampires. I figure there definately has to be more than just the three in your post.
 15. Z. Games to be Played Adrian had been searching for a while, but other than Lucia and Alex he had not seen or sensed the others, well other than Shalua, he had seen her from a distance earlier on, but didn't care if she had a letter or was missing. It was simple, he didn't like her at all and preferred to avoid her. A quick call to Lucia revealed that Alex was involved and that both of them were checking the southern part of the city and had so far found no one. Another quick moment to explain that Shalua was not missing and that he could care less if she was involved and then he ended the call, putting his cell phone back in one of his pockets. That left Nathan and Aeru and he was willing to bet that it was Aeru who was missing. Somehow he couldn't imagine them taking Nathan, at least not as a hostage. Someone like Nathan would be troublesome. He appeared calm and unruffled, but to anyone with half a mind for details, it was obvious that Nathan was quite intelligent. Adrian knew that if he was a vampire, there would be more fun to be had at flaunting the ability to do things that Nathan could not foresee or prevent. But that was just a thought, whether or not it was true... Adrian smiled from his vantage point on top of one of the taller buildings in the northern part of the city. The first stars starting to appear in the night sky, he thought about returning to where he kept residence, but changed his mind. A Shinigami did not need sleep, he often did sleep, if only because dreams were such a curious thing, but he did not require it, much in the same way that he did not require food either. "Adrian! We should keep looking!" Astera said with irritation. "By now Lucia and Alex are probably done with checking the southern part of the city! And we still have more to check!" But then as silence descended and everything seemed to stand still Astera fell quiet and dashed to the safety of Adrian's left shoulder. Looking around in alarm, but there was nothing to be seen. "There's really no point in hiding in the shadows," Adrian said even as he straightened up and moved away from the spot where he had been sitting down. So they can see us even when humans and others cannot. Interesting. Though it made sense, and seeing that they had managed to kidnap one of them, it was obvious that they would be able to touch a Shinigami as well. "Just as you can see me when humans cannot, I can clearly sense your presence. That aura of one who has cheated death is unmistakable." He started moving towards the presence he could feel, opening his hands as the twin scythes he used materialized. Adrian grasped them firmly as their weight settled into his hands. "Not being able to see you will not stop me from sending you to the afterlife." He said in a conversational tone. "You would do well to think before you act," A voice spoke even as the deepest shadow on top of the building blurred and then took shape. Dressed in black, with long blonde hair that flowed in the slight breeze, the woman had an amused look on her face. Adrian came to a stop, "Oh you mean because you have one of us?" He laughed. "I really don't give a damn." "I wonder if your Masters feel the same," she replied, "I would have thought that even you Adrian would be required to obey." Adrian started to reply only to swiftly dodge to the right at the last second, barely avoiding the second shadow that tore though the spot he had just been standing in. Mocking laughter reached his ears as the presence of the two shadows faded. "You'd better hurry little Shinigami, next time we won't miss." And then their presence was gone. "Are you alright Adrian?" Astera asked from her perch on his shoulder. "They didn't hurt you did they?" "No." Adrian said flatly, annoyed that he had not sensed the other one until it was almost too late to avoid the attack. How had the other one managed to get so close without him sensing it? "Those rotten sneaky underhanded vampires!" Astera fumed, taking off and flying around in an agitated manner. Still upset that she had not noticed them in time. Adrian had to agree, just what were they up to? And why did they need to hurry? And better yet, how had they known that he was one of the Shinigami's who had been assigned to the task of recovering the other one? As well as his name? He shook his head, offering Astera a tiny smile when she settled back down on his shoulder. Then after putting his scythes back into their half existence state to await when he would need them, freeing up his hands, he took off in the direction of the last part of the city he had not checked.
 16.
I get the same response everytime this is goin nowhere fast so this is my last post on the subject. Yes I'm saying that nothing will stop them from hating except themselves and no I don't think other people will make much of a difference in the matter. Some people simply grow up and learn to accept things and others stay kids for the rest of their lives. But I don't think that should stop us from trying. I wish everyone would stop implying that I think we shouldn't even try because if you think thats what I think then you just have not been paying much attention to what I've been saying >.< this is starting to turn into a nuh uh ya hu argument i think it should stop soon
I don't get the impression that you think we shouldn't try. ;) I get the impression that you wonder if trying will actually have an effect. Also I don't see anything wrong with a boy being sickened by seeing another boy liking a boy instead of a girl. Some of that is only natural if they are straight. It's uncomfortable for them. I think what's derailing people here is they are trying to say that without a more open environment, it's easier to hate since they are ignorant in many respects. They don't have the whole picture or rather they don't know what other people think on the subject. You on the other hand seem to think that even with knowing it won't make much of a difference, they'll still hate it. So it brings us back to our original discussion where we agreed that until we try we won't know. So rest assured, it's easy to see that you are not against trying, only that you have doubts that it will work.
No, they don't. People are products of their environments - if their environment is hostile and ignorant towards homosexuals, than the people will reflect this opinion. You can't simply say "So it goes." and let the cycle of ignorance propagate when there are steps that can be taken to educate people and eradicate it!
Although that is true to a certain extent, it is also not true in the sense that people do move beyond that in spite of their environment. Otherwise, change would never happen. You're missing what Flagg was saying here. That statement you quoted is true, you can put something in front of someone and they will still choose to stick with what they know and hate instead of 'growing up' where others will become more tolerant. The illusion that showing people differently will be all that it takes, is just that, an illusion. For some it will, but for some, that hatred will never be dropped. It's sad but true. But on the other side, there are plenty of people who once they learn more, will at least tolerate it instead of hating.
 17.
That is true but the question is will putting it in every single school to be explained in detail really do much to solve the problem?
Here's the the thing though, if you never try, you'll never know. ;) That's what the push is about, to make the education more complete. To find out if a better education would make a difference. Doing nothing to improve it... well that accomplishes nothing in the end, where making the education more complete just might.
 18.
Ah but we already have sexual education in schools and would you not agree we already also have plenty of teenage pregnancies, cases of HIV or other sexually transmitted diseases, and guessing from your true story comment boys asking why their testicles don't fit inside the condom.
Actually that's not completely accurate. Not every state and school in the US has sex ed and many that do, have the option where their parents can choose to not have their kids attend it. I've run into cases of people who were in their early twenties and didn't even know the basics of how to have sex. Also, some schools ideas of sex ed is nothing more than to tell the kids to not do it. No explanation as to what the process entails, no advise on sexually transmitted diseases and no education on the proper use of contraceptives or things such as condoms. Just a don't do it until you get married speech. And then they wonder why their kids are getting pregnant or getting diseases.
 19.
I know that people have been rational and polite in regard to this, and probably I was just expecting it to go like other threads were religion collides with atheism over whether or not religious belief has any place in an argument and we end up with a lot of bad blood on both sides.
It's understandable after all, some of the past threads have been rather explosive and ended up being closed. ;) Lately though people have been too sensible when it comes to these topics. Though now that I've said that I hope I didn't jinx it. lol Ironically, I think religion does have it's place, after all it is important to people and for some that faith is what keeps them going. Just as for me... It's more of an issue of being stubborn that gets me thought hard times. I just hope I do not end up facing a situation where I hurt enough to wish I was dead. Though more than anything, I wish we had better medicine or cures for some of the more horrible diseases out there. It wouldn't be so hard to expect them to live if we could effectively block their pain.
 20.
Guys, can we please stop this argument where those who don't believe religious belief is a valid argument for disagreeing with assisted suicide, we get into this in any thread where religious beliefs form one side of an argument. No they can't prove God exists, that's why it's called faith or belief, but that doesn't make it any less reasonable to them than it is to you. By the same token, Lethargy there is absolutely no point in saying something extreme like "So since you don't believe in a higher power, killing people is okay then, right?", because it isn't something that simple. Nothing in life is black and white, everything is a shade of grey and you can only work from there.
Gavin, so long as people are being polite and rational with their responses I am not going to restrict the method in how they choose to discuss this issue. And to be frank, A_M is correct, why people agree or disagree with Assisted Suicide does revolve around religion. Or lack of, and not one of the comments here has been a true argument or warrants a warning for them to be more civil. So lets stop with the statements of no arguing religion, as well as the sweeping statements that not believing means you approve of killing. And most of all, quit trying to expect others to not explain why they don't accept another person's stance. And that goes for more than you. If this were to change to a I think it's wrong or I think it's okay only thread, it would be extremely boring at that point. People are mature enough to handle a little bit of disagreeing as well as staying out of a discussion if part of it annoys them. Lets save the end the argument speech please for when it really happens and not before.
 21.
:animesigh least it makes for good storytelling... but way to make me feel stupid, lol. Even the pixie is laughing at me! Still, though, I can't wait to see how this goes. Imagining a fight between a vampire and a shinigami just looks badass.
Well it certainly wasn't my intent to make you feel stupid. ;) I was going to go from that slant if no one noticed it or not. Because Adrian is annoying in that respect, he loves to pick things apart even if there's nothing to complain about. It's why he intends to ignore the instructions about not doing anything to the vampires. He really doesn't care, other than the chance to kill them since he hates them more than he does humans. EDIT: Heh, I love your post SunfallE, you always get my characters so perfectly.
 22. I went on the same stance Allamorph did, that just as the letter was written, the name of the missing person and those we are to work with was not given. Something that Adrian finds funny in a way. Also, I left it up in the air for anyone to be the Shinigami that he is heading towards, since his logic is to simply check in with those who are working in the same area to see who is not around like they should be. If no one takes the position of being the one that Adrian is heading towards I'll simply write it as if he saw who it was and left instead of making contact. :p
 23. Oh this was rich, Adrian just snorted as he read the letter. What idiot sent this out? Not only did they fail to give the name of the Shinigami who was stupid enough to get caught, but they couldn't be bothered to tell them who was on this team that was suppose to hunt for her. He couldn't help it he just laughed out loud, ignoring the startled glances he got from other patrons of the tiny cafe where he was enjoying his lunch. Not that Adrian really needed to eat, he just enjoyed it. He pushed it aside, setting down more than enough money to pay for it and then left in favor of changing his state to one that humans could not see. Moments later Astera appeared on his left shoulder. "I want to see it!" She piped up in her tiny yet stern voice. With a shrug Adrian handed it over. Chuckling inwardly when she unconsciously took off and started flying around agitatedly. She flew up to the top of a building with Adrian close behind her, muttering under her breath as she did so. "This is terrible! We have to do something and quick! Oh the poor dear! Kidnapped by vampires. I thought humans took care of them ages ago." She fluttered back over to Adrian who was hovering in a mock sitting position as he waited patiently for her to calm down a bit. But she was too worked up for that. "What are we waiting for! We need to get going right this second!" She exclaimed. "And where should we go Astera?" He asked with a smile. "Why..." She paused and looked at the letter again. "Hey! They didn't even tell us her name or who we are working with! I mean couldn't they have told us where the Shinigami who was kidnapped was working? Stupid..." She began to mumble to herself again, her wings fluttering even faster until Adrian chuckled. "It's not funny!" She pouted. "Vampires are terrible and you saw the part where they told us to have fun with their victims! What if they've hurt other people or kidnapped them too?" "It doesn't do us any good to get worked up over it." Adrian reminded her. "After all the note did not forbid us from talking to other Shinigami, so I suggest we check with a couple of the others in this area to see if one is missing. If they are, then that's likely to be the one who was taken." He took the note back from Astera and once she was settled on his shoulder again he took off, it wouldn't be too hard to find the others. After all for one such as he, seeing the difference between a Shingami and a regular human was a simple matter. Though failing that he could always fall back on actually contacting one of them with his cell phone. Much as he hated contacting anyone for any reason. Even if they too were Shinigami like himself he still preferred to steer clear of them. Still this should be fun, unlike regular humans, vampires cheated death and did not require a notice to be sent to the next stage of existence. So what if the note said they could not act until their comrade was recovered. He laughed at the idea. If a vampire was foolish enough to show themselves to him, he would not hesitate to send them on their way. One did not give into the demands of their natural enemies. By kidnapping her they were deliberately bringing themselves out into the open. Which could mean only one thing, they intended to interfere with the natural balance of death on Earth, and what better way to do it than to get rid of the Shinigami? If anything the clues for finding the missing Shinigami were clearly nothing more than a trap to ensnare the rest of them. Moments later he detected the aura of another Shinigami in the area and he flew in that direction. Taking only a moment to put the letter he was still carrying away. As he got closer to the other Shinigami one thought crossed his mind. This is going to be far more interesting than dealing with stupid humans. A thought that had him smiling all over again.
 24.
So since you don't believe in a higher power, killing people is okay then, right?
Belief or disbelief really has nothing to do with it. Other than a sense of right or wrong. And under certain conditions, yes I think that killing people is okay. I'll get to the conditions in a moment here.
Uh sure, and if you don't believe in gravity nothing will happen if you jump off a cliff. Even if you don't believe in a higher power there is still a concept of right and wrong in stable minded people. Killing people is wrong it's as simple as that. Yes it doesn't stop someone from trying, but it's still wrong.
Unlike a higher power, gravity is provable. So that's really irrelevant since you can't prove that God exists, which as Sirius pointed out really isn't the point of this discussion. Yes it's important since people's belief in such a thing is why they are against it, but whether or not he does exist isn't the discussion here. Also, right or wrong does not equate to no killing at all, you're talking in absolutes here and that doesn't work. Saying killing is wrong, it's as simple as that, merely brushes the topic under the carpet without attempting to address it at all. Just because that is what you think, it does not make it right or even correct. Except for you perhaps. Now I'm going to come back to the conditions I mentioned as to whether or not killing is acceptable. I'll list them, allowing someone or helping them take their own life is, in my opinion, acceptable if the following conditions are met:

The disease they have is incurable at this time.
They are in horrible pain that even the best medical care cannot relieve.
The person suffering wishes to die.
It is legal in the state or country they live in.
If these conditions exist, then I am of the opinion that they have the right to make that choice and in the end if it's wrong or a sin, that will be between them and God at that point. It is not a blanket statement of killing is okay, it is a statement that under specific conditions a person should have the right to make that choice for themselves.
 25.
but lol at Soul Hunter... show I file under 'awesomely bad' (or at least the dub, which apparently is an entirely diferent story?)
It is, the dub for Soul Hunter is terrible, but the sub version is just fine and it's the only way I'll watch it actually. The dub is too annoying and messed up. So if you haven't tried it with subtitles, go back and watch it again. It's definately worth seeing once.
