Alden was not fooled by Rebecca?s well-played look of helplessness. It seemed that like him she too was use to getting her way and so long as they had the same goals he was willing to go along with it. Curious to see just how far she was willing to go he offered her a chance to rest, knowing full well she would understand just what he was implying since his scanner showed that she was not tired. When she agreed and smiled even more charmingly he made the first move, surprising even himself that he could feel such desire in a place like this. But as he pulled her tightly against him and kissed her she responded in turn running her hands up along his back instead of pulling away. A tiny part of his mind was screaming at him, telling him that he was foolish for even thinking it was safe to do what he was doing, but it was if he couldn?t control his own body and other than the tiny part that objected the rest of him that was being pulled further and further into it didn?t care. He could barely contain himself as both of them in no time had taken each other?s clothing off and when Rebecca did things to him that no other woman had that tiny part of him that was objecting fell silent. And even the harsh cold floor seemed to barely exist as he entered her and then finally took her, filling his own needs as well as hers. Then both of them just stayed lying there on the floor totally spent and exhausted starting to fall asleep still entwined. It took the harsh beeping of his scanner attempting to warn him of a change in their environment to keep him from falling asleep. As he lay there on top of her still dazed as if drugged he had to read the data several times before it sunk in that the room was filled with a type of drugged dust that was common on earth. One that was well known for use in parties of a more wild kind as it enhanced certain activities. What the hell? With a rush of adrenaline he came fully awake, pulling free of Rebecca who had fallen asleep and looked around wildly. Hastily he pulled his clothes on angry with himself for losing control like that, even if the sheer amount of the drug floating in the air was responsible, he should have known better. Such a thing could only be a trap. As if to confirm that thought the sidewalls began moving towards the center. ?Shit!? Alden swore as he got up and started to run for the door, only to stop and curse yet again as he grabbed Rebecca?s clothes and picked her up. A move that nearly killed them both as he slipped out the door seconds before the walls slammed together with a horrible sound. The room he was now in seemed to be a lounge for viewing outer space as the huge dome was filled with tables, chairs and couches carefully placed among planters designed to give sections privacy. Alden gently set Rebecca down on one of the sofas and took a small throw blanket and covered her. With the amount of drug in her system she was likely to be out for a while. He set her clothes next to her and then stalked off to check out the new area. Furious that someone would be so sick and perverted to attempt to kill them in the manner that they had. As well as being furious for having fell for it, even though he knew that the drug at that level overrode and interfered with one?s ability to think clearly. He of all people should know since he had on many occasions slipped a bit of it into a date?s drink when they were reluctant to sleep with him. ?God damn assholes! I swear you?ll regret this!? He snarled once he had finished checking the area and grabbing a couple of bottles of water from what appeared to be a type of vending machine. He headed back for where Rebecca was as movement told him she was finally coming to. As she realized where she was and sat up, smiling at him as he approached her, he realized that she didn?t know what had happened or that she had been drugged. And if she didn?t realize it, why tell her? Alden smiled. ?I hope you don?t mind, but I moved you here since I didn?t want you to catch a cold.? He approached her and handed her one of the bottles of water. ?Thank you,? Rebecca said as she took the bottle and set it down, opting to take a moment to get dressed again before picking it back up and taking a drink. Then as she moved to get up Alden extended his hand helping her up once more. ?It?s probably best that we get moving. I doubt that there are more rooms that are actually safe and you are still a beautiful temptation.? Alden smiled inwardly as Rebecca blushed at the compliment. She may have thought she was good at wrapping men around her little finger, but Alden was far better at it than her. Besides once they got free of this place they would have plenty of time for more of what they had just shared. But without worrying about it resulting in their deaths. And if he could find those responsible, he would take great pleasure in shooting first their kneecaps off and then other more valuable parts before putting a bullet between their eyes. If there was one thing Alden hated, it was someone fooling him.

Once Crystal had left Stevens opened up the message that had been sent to him. It was from Elite Specialist Kiva's crew Daego. He read through it and smiled broadly. Oh this was just perfect! Even if Daniel had gotten away, catching both Jason and Celestia was far preferable. In his opinion their programming skills that they had been using to aid the resistance was a far greater threat than Daniel's military experience. Stevens closed the message and opened up another communication, intending to contact the High Council when they contacted him. It too was but a brief message, telling him to contact them again in one hour with both Sandra and Jared present. An hour later, with all three of them present, Stevens opened up a channel to the High Council. He knew just why they had called this meeting. Now that the final resistance base on Earth had been dealt with it was time to reorganize the fleet and make the final preparations. "Stevens, Sandra and Jared." The member who was the speaker for this meeting spoke. "We will come straight to the point. It is time to finish putting things in place and return the flagships to sector one. With all that has happened it is time to attend to internal affairs to make sure another attack like those in sectors six, four and seven do not happen again. It is our belief that with the final base built on Earth using our technology gone and with Kiva's success in securing both Jason and Celestia that the resistance on Earth is no longer a serious threat. If any of you disagree with this assessment, then speak up so we may address any remaining concerns." Stevens was the first to speak. "Other than to stick around for say a week or two, so long as we do not lower the level of troops and security set in place I concur. Losing their best programmers is going to seriously hurt the resistance. Based on what my own experts have said. Most of the things they have done such as hacking into the top security and into the fleet updates could only have been done by both Jason and Celestia. In my opinion, their ability was a greater threat than Daniel or even their leader William." The members of the High Council looked to Sandra who nodded in agreement. "I concur. Even though Daniel is still a serious threat. Without the necessary equipment and technology to aid him in launching attacks, his movement will be severely limited. And since we know that the weapons used when both Darren and I were captured were part of a stash that was gotten from sector one before Ryan was caught and stopped. It is unlikely that they have more since the recent attacks as well as what they did has accounted for nearly all that was sold illegally on the black market. So I find it highly unlikely that he posses the means to create more trouble. It's more likely that he will go into hiding, waiting for the moment when a ship comes to pick him up." "What is your assessment Jared?" They finally asked him as well. "So long as we leave the rest of the fleet here to maintain order while the remaining facilities are put in place I see no reason why both the Creator and the Conqueror can't return to sector one." Jared stated. "There is also the matter of the attack in sector seven. Based on the information the Elite Specialists requested from me earlier I am convinced that you have a spy within your midst. This is something that is far more serious than dealing with Daniel." "We have come to the same conclusion as well. Once all three of you have finished wrapping things up you are ordered to return to sector one immediately. Also, we have sent Kiva a message instructing her to bring both Jason and Celestia to sector one immediately as well. And Jared, we are sure that it is unnecessary to quote protocol to you in regards to dealing with Jason. As well as the possibility that his status as to who he belongs to may be changed based on what we learn from interrogating him." Jared bowed deeply before responding. "But of course. Just as I am sure it is unnecessary to quote my record showing that when it comes to matters concerning the Versilan Empire I have always given it priority over my personal wants or desires. Only a fool would fail to realize that allowing one's personal agenda to interfere with the security of the Empire is unwise." "Excellent. Unless there is anything else, that will be all." When none of them said anything a moment later the Council terminated the transmission. "I'd better get to work then." Sandra said. "I have a lot to do to get us ready to head back for sector one." She bowed and left. Stevens turned to Jared. "Well, that must bother you. After all before this mess Jason was your property. Are you really not bothered by this?" "I'd be lying if I said it didn't bother me," Jared said truthfully. "But after we found out they bypassed grade alpha security as well as the other things both Jason and Celestia have managed to do as far as programming goes, I knew there was a possibility that the High Council would do this. However, I meant what I said. Duty always comes first." It was a statement that he truly meant. Stevens nodded. "Very well then, I suggest you get to work immediately as well. I'd like to have things done within a week if possible. If we are to find the spy in sector one our presence is going to be needed as well as Kiva's as she has proven to be exceptional at her job." He waited until Jared bowed and left to turn back to his former position of watching Earth as the Conqueror continued to orbit around the planet. All was going according to plan. Failing to capture Daniel was in his opinion irrelevant. Earth had been taken and now that they had caught both Jason and Celestia, it was only a matter of time until they finally destroyed the resistance. Stevens smiled, pleased with how things had turned out.

I disagree with the implied scope of these dangers. It seems quite sad that "horrible people lurking around the corner" isn't taken as sarcasm but as a legitimate perception of reality. The Internet isn't horrible. It isn't fantastic either. It just is prepackaged with positives and negatives as a method of communication as are real life communications. I dunno. I think the fool is stupid. SunFallE, yourself and others in this thread aren't and are worth replying to.. at times. :D
You're probably right, especially since I work with victims of domestic violence on a regular basis so I see those dangers every day at work. In the form of those who have been hurt and nearly all of them are from relationships that are real life, not Internet based. So to me it is a legitimate perception. As for that last bit...*pokes DeathKnight* :p
-

So yes, being sibling forms of communication makes comparisons between long distance and IRL numerous but there are still key differences. "X can happen IRL" is not a very good argument to make even if the person you are arguing against is, admittedly, not very good at it. Though talking about plastic surgery and talking about the horrible people lurking just around the corner seems rather desperate and silly considering how poor oscar is "debating". Funnily enough maybe a few of you need to get laid. ;)
It doesn't make them any less true, even if there are key differences. :p And the reality of horrible people lurking just around the corner isn't desperate but true. Just ask the victims of domestic violence that started with a simple date. People tend to look at the Internet as if it's so horrible and there are so many dishonest people when real life is equally as dangerous if not more so due to the layer of obscurity involved in the Internet side that shields them on some level. So in that respect the real life aspect is what they should really be worried about in my opinion. Not a bunch of kids goofing off saying they have a boyfriend or girlfriend online. Or rather being convinced that it's pathetic. lol But even more importantly, or rather what I wonder about, is why others dating online just to have a boyfriend or girlfriend would bother one person so much. In the end it just makes no sense that they feel so strongly that it's pathetic. After all it doesn't really affect them in the long run. lol
-

I am not talking about finaly meeting them Im talking like just having a bf or gf just to have one because you cant get one and i can tell if im dating a dude in real life internet you cant
What makes you think they can't get one. lol You're making an assumption here. Also, if you really think you can tell if someone's a dude in real life if they are serious about hiding who they are, you're deluding yourself. And at this point I have to ask, just how old are you anyway? Another thing, you've been warned quite a few times to improve your post quality oscarX, I expect that to be fixed or else you can and will be banned. Since using abbreviations as well as poor spelling is not acceptable. Especially when one has been warned as many times as you have.

The first thing Alden realized as he woke up was that he was lying partially on top of something soft and warm. It was rather comfortable and he found himself drifting back to sleep when he remembered what had happened. He had been pulled under the water by some wire and something had hit him in the head. Startled he opened his eyes and started to get up only to halt when he realized that what he was lying on was one of the girls who he had first met when he woke up in this strange place. Rebecca, if he remembered her name correctly was easily the prettiest of the lot with her gorgeous pink hair and generous curves. Something that he could feel as his right hand was resting on her left breast. And though his scanner was cracked it was still functioning, the readout he was getting indicated that the woman was still deeply asleep. He glanced around briefly but the two of them were alone and other than a single door there was nothing indicating there was any type of trap. Alden hesitated, torn between the desire to leave and yet another desire coming from being in close proximity to Rebecca. Beautiful women was one of the main reasons he had gotten into crime. There was nothing he loved more than being surrounded by lovely women and being wealthy meant he always got whatever woman he set his eyes on. The temptation was more than he could handle and he gently ran his hand down her body, reveling in how he could feel how fit and trim she was under her clothing. When he reached the bottom of her shirt and started to slide his hand underneath onto her skin his scanner alerted him that she was starting to wake up. Quickly he pulled his hand free and moved to position himself so that he was merely kneeling next to her. She opened her eyes, taking in her surroundings and then with a start of panic sat up and quickly checked her feet. Why is she checking her feet? Alden wondered. But then a moment later she turned to him and favored him with a dazzling smile. When Rebecca woke up the first thing she noticed was that she was lying on her back in an empty room with someone kneeling next to her watching her. He tried to hide it but Rebecca wasn't fooled, as a dancer and with her social skills she was well accustomed to being stared at. She knew she was quite pretty. But then it came back to her, she had managed to get though a death trap of lasers, even after having some of her toes cut off but then when she fell and was about to be crushed everything was a blank. Quickly she checked her feet, but to her surprise her toes were right were they were suppose to be. How can that be? She thought. It wasn't like one would forget having their toes cut off. But more importantly how had she gotten here? Rebecca turned and flashed one of her best smiles at Alden, at least that's what she thought his name was. "I don't suppose you know what happened do you?" "No, I do not. I was pulled under a lake by some wires and hit my head. After that I woke up here with you." "I was about to be crushed by some walls and then everything went black." Rebecca started to get up but Alden beat her to it, lending her a hand. Once she was up she stood so close that they were nearly touching. She put on her best semi-defenseless look, if she was going survive this place she was going to need someone to help her. "What do you suggest we do?" She asked him. Alden gave her a half smile before responding. "Get out of here of course. Though if you are tired, since I don't see any traps here we can always rest a little before we get started." Rebecca just smiled, "Well perhaps for just a little while." She smiled even more at Alden's expression. Wrapping men around her little finger was something she had always been good at. And when they were actually cute as well, it just made it even more fun. A part of her mind wondered if she had time for this, but then, remembering what had happened she decided that she did. Even if she had quick reflexes and good social skills, unlike Alden she didn't have any weapons to defend herself with or devices to detect traps. She definitely needed to get him to stick with her.
Ai, sorry, I thought you just meant they couldn't have been used on the same character. I edited all the plotholes from my post and made itr so Andrew is still there again. Sorry for the confusion ^^;;
Well I'm glad you changed it since even though I am not going to kill off Alden or Rebecca I already have a post half written up with those two and your scenario would have wrecked it. lol I was hoping that your post wouldn't be on the same characters I was writing on. Anyway, now I can finish it and post it in a bit. ;)

*pokes Crystia* Now you've done it! You've gone and inspired the rest of them to be even more graphic with their deaths!
Just wait until I write up my next death. I guarantee you that it will be quite shocking, in more ways than simple gore is. :p
As for the twist I promised, when the first special card is played you will see just what I had in mind. Let the killing begin! ;)
Ah, sounds like you've got another new card up your sleeve. Should be fun to see just what it actually is. And I see that we are going to have transport cards as well. Those are great fun as well, if only to insert more chaos into the game. lol

I want to know what is with people dating online. Kids having girlfriends or boyfriends online is the dumbest and most pathetic thing i have ever heard of. Besides you dont know if that guy is a sex offender who wants your address.
Why? Why is online dating dumb? Or rather why do you think it is? And I don't buy the bit about the ones that annoy you in chat rooms. A handful of irritating kids is hardly enough to base an opinion of they are all dumb and pathetic on. Also, it's already been addressed but sticking to only meeting people in real life doesn't guarantee that the person you are dating is safe. If anything, a strictly online relationship and such a young age, especially if no information as to where you live and such is given out is probably quite a bit safer than a normal one. It's a little hard to assault someone through a screen and if they get verbally abusive you just ignore them. Much easier than dealing with one of those sex offenders if you were dating them face to face.
Actually, I'm going to agree with oscarX because of the keyword 'kids'. As in, a couple of 13-year-olds who think they have a special special something because they both like the same anime. Nothing against online dating, it's just that a lot of it is a pathetic case of teens who want a boyfriend/girlfriend.
Again, why pathetic? Why are we limiting these teens to have only relationships with people they can meet face to face? Why are we labeling them as pathetic? And at the age this thread is referring to finding friends or dating someone with similar tastes even if it's online is pretty normal. Especially if you live in a community, say like mine, where a lot of parents believe anime is nothing but porn. So finding someone online who likes it too is a big attraction to a lot of kids around here.
Online dating is rather pointless and a waste of time. you have no clue who the person you are talking to is actually like.
The same is true of a person you meet in real life. People cheat, steal, rape and murder. Meeting them face to face is no guarantee that you really know what they are like. Honestly, if kids are dating online at a young age, so long as they aren't giving personal information such as addresses and real names and such out. I just don't see what the fuss is. Even if they are bugging you in chat rooms. Just find another chat room or take advantage of the handy ignore button or block sender function that many of them have.

*pokes indifference* That's your cue to sail in here and cackle evilly since I know your characters will be very happy. lol
*bows* Not that I wouldn't do as suggested, but I can wait until after the post where both Jason and Celestia are caught is written before I 'cackle evilly' It's a pity that Sara, Glen and Daniel got away though. But then if we caught them all, or rather Kiva caught them all, it wouldn't be any fun now would it? Hehe. Anyway, now that my post with Stevens wondering how things went is up, I'll just sit back and wait for the dust to settle a bit. Once Kiva gets both Jason and Celestia that is. Since you haven't told me what happens next you know. :p

It had been quite some time since Stevens found himself in the position of being impatient for a mission to be completed. It had been a long time since he himself had led an assault team and over the years he had gotten use to accepting that his position required him to wait. He had long since developed the mindset of moving on to other matters that needed to be dealt with instead of constantly wondering how things were going. But today...Today he found that he could not do so. Once the transport with the assault team had been sent down to Earth he was unable to concentrate on anything. Finally he had given up, taking a position of standing in the observation room right next to the view of Earth, calmly watching it as the Conqueror slowly continued it's orbit around the planet. His hands clasped together behind his back. Perhaps the reason he was so preoccupied with wondering how Kiva's mission to take out the final Earth resistance base was doing, was due to how difficult the resistance had been to deal with. Never in the history of the Versilan Empire had the take over of a planet been so difficult and costly. Even once the final base, or rather the ones built using technology from his race, was taken care of, there would still be problems. Though he was certain that without the better technology it would be much harder. It could have also been due to the recent blatant attacks in sector's four, six and seven. Those too were unprecedented. The first sign that there were resistance forces within their race started two hundred years ago. Back then, according the the records they had been far more ruthless, using more outright terror tactics to bring about change. But in the end it had backfired, generating public disapproval when officials and civilians alike were killed. Within ten years the movement seemed to die down. But then a few years later they were back, using tactics that avoided civilian causalities as well as doing away with targeting high ranking officials. Stevens sighed a bit. Back then, though it was long before he had been born, even with the change in tactics they had gained little to no support, until some of the more ruthless practices towards the lesser races was brought to the people's attention. And it was unfortunate that the High Council had been slow to remedy things. Still for over a hundred years the resistance presence made little to no difference, they were merely an annoyance that was ruthlessly crushed when found. Then about thirty years ago things changed again, more resistance cells began to spring up and even more problems started to crop up. The resistance learned how to attempt to run other races through their enhanced learning program something that had resulted in not only Celestia being born, but successfully taking in the information. And it didn't help that she was also highly intelligent since a number of the things she had done were beyond some of his own people. The program she had written that had been used to disable both the Crimson and the Tempest had made it clear to Stevens that if something was not done and soon, the High Council would have a real problem on their hands. Stevens sighed a bit, shifting a little to get comfortable. In the end, he knew why he was anxious. Ever since that incident with the Crimson and the Tempest, he had been almost driven in his push to have those responsible caught and dealt with. And now that it was down to the final moments he was eager for the news that they had finally been caught. Once again he shifted slightly and then he continued to watch the planet below. He could wait, after all if he could handle boring sessions with the members of the High Council, he could certainly handle waiting for Kiva's report. At least, unlike the sessions with the High Council, he wouldn't have to endure listening to some of those arrogant old fools. Some of them were rather long winded at times. Making him glad that he was still in the space forces. And even then, once the time came for his candidacy to be completed, if he choose to, he could continue as the Fleet Admiral for the space forces instead of residing in sector one. He would certainly not be the first Council member to do so.

Anime Cartoon network going down the drain with anime?
Horendithas replied to a topic in Otaku Central
I removed the more off topic posts arguing over money. Lets keep this on the original topic please. And with that in mind...
Why dont they have all the good shows on like ronin warriors and dbz. yeah naruto is good to but think if they had all the old shows back.what would you rather have the new or the old?
There's one fundamental problem with this and others have already addressed it in regards to how Cartoon Network is introducing different anime to people. But there is also another one as well. Probably everyone here could pick a different time of when shows were aired that they would consider those that were running the good shows. To give an example, based on my personal tastes, when they were airing Dragon Ball and Ronin Warriors, those were, in my opinion, not good shows. Though to be fair Ronin Warriors or rather Samurai Troopers is at least tolerable in it's uncut form. Anyway, showing the same ones again and again would not only get old but would end up having a detrimental effect in that people would lose interest in even watching the channel at all. Giving the impression that people here didn't like anime and possibly resulting in less shows even being released over in the US.
Samurai Jack is not anime. DBZ is still on.
Samurai Jack may not be Japanese anime, but in my opinion it's far more interesting to watch than DBZ ever was. It doesn't have to be Japanese in origin to be fun to watch. :p -

I mean part of mine as she put it will become clear after a certain post has been made. But, but, but...I want to know now! :bawl:
I think, especially after reading Takuya's post where Kiva found the base in Salt Lake City, (of all places! lol) that it's safe to say that it's now clear that the final base is going to fall. What's not clear is just how it's going to be taken or what's going to happen after wards. Or the timing since it seems that it's being set up to possibly happen while Daniel is not at the base. Which considering that he knows who Kiva is makes sense. But I see that Jason, Celestia, Sara and Glen are still left hanging. (at least for now) Hehe, hopefully we'll catch all of you! Either way, seeing that my characters are both for the Versilan Empire we are looking forward to seeing the final base ruthlessly crushed!

Good grief Crystia! Are you trying to give me nightmares? *shudder* That was awful! Poor Alden! *shudders again*
Hehe, that's the point right? ;) Not to give you nightmares, but to kill off the characters that is. I rather liked yours though, I was certainly not expecting something like that.

Sandra was relived to finally be out of that tiny room that she had been confined to. As well as relived to hear from Elite Specialist Kiva that in addition to locating her, she had also already retrieved Darren as well. But what pleased her the most was that once she had transported back and had a chance to get cleaned up and back into uniform she had immediately gone to meet Stevens only to find that Jared had transported over to the Conqueror as well. She joined them both in the observation room only to be surprised by them discussing arrangements for a full assault team to be on the next transport for the US city Salt Lake City, Utah. At first she found it hard to believe that the resistance would have been so foolish as to keep her in a safe house so close to their remaining base. That is until she remembered that they compartmentalized their knowledge and command structure, something that made it hard to get any useful information when a member was caught and interrogated. But this time it had proven detrimental. Daniel had probably handed her over to someone else, someone who decided where she would be held without telling Daniel where. The chances that he did not know her location was a real possibility. Either way it did not matter. What did matter was that Kiva had found them and once she determined a method of entry since the base was protected by shields that would prevent transport doors, they would take the final base and hopefully catch those responsible as well, putting an end to the more serious resistance factions here on Earth. They will still exist of course, but with out the more advanced bases and better trained officers like Daniel to lead them, they would be little to no threat at all. "I've made arrangements for an Assault Team to be on the transport that is headed for that area, it will be a simple matter to send the team instead of the medical and food supplies that were originally scheduled to arrive. I don't want to send one out of the normal schedule since doing so might alert them that we are on to them." Stevens told both Jared and Sandra as he finished. "Good," Sandra said, still a bit angry over finding out what had happened in the attack that had led to her being captured. The sheer amount of deaths and damage that had been done that day were staggering. As well as the nearly simultaneous attack in sector seven. Dealing with Earth would mean that her and Stevens could move back to other sectors to help with tracking down William, who it was looking like was the actual leader of the resistance. She was starting to get up to go and start going through what she had missed while she was gone when Stevens spoke. "I realize that you are eager to get back to work Sandra, but protocol requires that you give a full report of what happened as well as being checked out by the doctor and waiting a full twenty four hours before returning to duty." Sandra started to protest and then stopped. He was right. And even though she wanted to get back to work immediately she would have to wait. So she nodded to Stevens and headed for the sickbay instead. At the very least she would not be stuck in that tiny room and there was nothing stopping her from using her time off to review the news and updates.

I just had to take advantage of that post you did Sandy, with Alden Courtney and Lara Servas being dragged under the water. That just gave me too many ideas to play with. It was so nicely set up. Hehe. And now that poor Alden Courtney is very much dead I have also placed Lara Servas with Jennifer, Eflair and Ambellina. Though seeing that she dropped on them out of no where and I implied that she knocked over Eflair in the process, they might just leave her lying there unconscious. It just depends on who posts about them next. ;)

Lara barely had time to close her mouth before both her and Alden were dragged under the lake. She still had the gun Alden had given her firmly grasped in her right hand but the wire was dragging her through the water so quickly it was all she could do to hang on to it let along attempt to aim at the wire that had grabbed her. She felt herself becoming faint with the effort to hold her breath as the wire took her deeper underwater. At first she could still see the shadowy movement of Alden as he too was dragged through the water but now she could see nothing at all. Then just as she thought she was going to lose it the wire pulled her through what appeared to be a dark hole in the bottom of the small lake. She opened her mouth to scream only to take in water, unable to help herself. Then like passing through an invisible wall she was suddenly taking in air instead of water and then just as suddenly the wires let go dropping her into a small circular room along with Alden. She gasped desperately, as she instinctively retched up most of the water she had inhaled. Then finally as her vision cleared she looked around. She was partially lying on top of Alden something that she had not realized. Quickly she checked him, he seemed to be breathing. She moved to get a better look, his visor that he was wearing was cracked and blood was trickling down the left side of his face. He must have hit his head when he was dropped in here. She thought. Shaking, Lara held the gun in front of her, wondering if it would still work after being soaked, there were two narrow passage ways both of them covered in the same green moss that the sides of the chamber they were in was, giving off a slight glow. But when she looked up and saw that the water was somehow held back by an invisible force she cringed, instinctively expecting it to come rushing down and drowning her. She stepped backwards, slipping on the wet floor and falling to land hard on her rear while slamming her head into the side of the wall. Dazing her momentarily. Then a horrible smell reached her, one of something rotting and decaying. Her breath coming in ragged gasps of terror she pulled her legs up under her attempting to almost melt into the walls as she looked around wildly, certain that something was down there with them. Lara tried to keep it in but tiny sobs of fear escaped her, sounding unnaturally loud to her ears. Go away! She thought frantically. Just go away! Then from the passage way straight in front of her something from her worst nightmare entered. It looked like some mad cross of machine and fish life. With a giant fish head and body and fins, strangely manlike and yet it's body seemed to also be made of the wire that had brought them there. Terrified she took aim with the gun and pulled the trigger, the recoil nearly breaking her wrist as it tore through the creature and parts of it went flying. But there was more of them, two more and a split second later before she could even register that they were there one had seized Alden tearing him in half with long wire fins similar to the wires that had pulled them under the lake. Screaming with both rage and fear she fired the gun again tearing it apart. And then she shot the third one that was behind it. A moment later when it seemed that there were no more and she truly saw Alden's mutilated body, taking in the gruesome nature of how he had died, something inside her snapped. Hastily she scrambled to her feet and ran down the other passage. This can't be happening! This can't be happening! With a sob she kept running heedless of where she was until it was too late. She fell into a dark hole in the floor of the passage way, unable to stop in time, screaming yet again as she fell into the darkness. Then unexpectedly she landed on someone, knocking them to the ground. She vaguely recalled hearing a woman's voice as they called out, asking if someone named Eflair was all right. And then she passed out. Pacing back and forth in the small room that she had been confined to, Sandra was doing her best to control her temper. It was not the Earthlings that she was upset with but rather those who were her own people who were assisting them. She had tried to understand why they would go against all that they had been raised to believe in, but in the end she did not. And though they were not outright rude or mean to her, she could see it in their mannerisms and the way they talked down to her that she disgusted them. Though that didn't really bother her, Sandra had always been treated different since she could remember. It was one of many things really, either they fawned over her to get attention, treated her like an equal or as if they were superior and the last one, they disliked her and showed it. And normally for the most part it did not bother her. But being stuck in the tiny room with no window and nothing to do was starting to get on her nerves. Or perhaps it was not knowing when she would be free of the tiny room that bothered her the most. She sighed for what seemed like the thousandth time. Sandra had always accepted that one day she might end up dead, after all serving in the military was not without danger. But she had never thought that she would be locked up by the resistance no less! Nor that she would be denied access to absolutely everything. She had tried requesting access to some of the news but all her captors had done was remind her that she was in no position to request anything. Something that had infuriated her since she had tried to phrase it as a request and not a demand. It was equally annoying since they asked every time they checked on her if she needed anything and her response was always along the lines of reminding them that she had already told them what she wanted. In the end she wondered if they enjoyed asking her that question, just to remind her that they were in charge and she was not. With a sigh she quit pacing back and forth in the tiny room and sat down on the small bed. I wish they would hurry up and find me already, she thought. A thought that was immediately followed by another... I wonder if Darren has been found yet? Sandra didn't really know him on a personal level, but she had been impressed with what he had done. It was one thing for her to be stuck here, she was a member of the military, it was an accepted risk that came along with the job, but Darren? Even with his new job he was not expected to place himself in danger, at least not in the same manner that she was. Sandra sighed yet again, reminding herself to be patient. Fretting over things wasn't going to get her released or found any quicker. No matter how much she wished it would.

Davis Henderson looked on in shock as Deloras fell though the hole and into space. Making the threat of death all to real. My god! He thought in astonishment as it hit home. How can this be? He had heard the warning about poison gas and the corridor detaching, but still underneath it all he was too use to space stations having all sorts of safe guard systems in place to prevent things like this from happening. Part of him had yet to really believe that one of them could die. Shaken, all of them continued cautiously trying to avoid the sections of the floor that would collapse. Something that Davis on some level couldn't help but find fascinating since there had to be some sort of forcefield keeping the air in. The sections of the floor that fell tumbled into space but oxygen did not. Who ever built this place had to be quite advanced to have brought them here from different times and planets. But if who ever had built this place was that advanced, why bother to bring them here if only to let them die? They had made it to the next set of doors, but no one wanted to open it. All of them hesitating. Except Andrew who moved forward to test the doors. "Wait!" Davis cried out. "What if the door is a trap too?" "We must press forward," Andrew said. "It is clear that what ever brought us here is our enemy. One does not place guests in such danger. We must neutralize what ever force has brought us here." "I meant that the door may lead out to space as well. Not that we shouldn't try to find the way out of here." "I did not see another path to take," Andrew said. Several others chimed in as well that they had not seen another door either. Davis finally nodded and agreed. "You're right, for all we know the floor may be designed to completely give out if we stay too long." Then at that moment as if the place were alive, a terrible sound reached them. Startled they all turned back to look, the remaining floor sections were dropping into space. "You just had to open your big mouth didn't you?" Rebecca said as she turned to help Andrew open the door. "How could I have known?" Davis protested as they all hurried into the other room. It did not lead to space but this time there were several paths to take. "This is just great!" Davis complained. "Which direction should we take?" No one answered his question since they were wondering the exact same thing.

Should I assume it was you who got the card, then? ;P Now that first blood has been drawn, let the playing begin...
I'm not telling! Especially since it could have easily been you who got it. :p And it would be rather pointless to say one way or another since I'm assuming who ever did get it is unlikely to come out and admit it. After all that would be like saying, kill my character please! lol

Sounds good to me, though you forgot to properly post your death card at the end of your post. Like the example in the sign up thread. I don't suppose you could edit your post to include it? I know for me when I played before, having that in the post made it easier to keep track of who died. It goes like this: With the picture of the character who died of course. I rather like the Creation Card too. That was a fun new card. ;) EDIT: Thanks 2007DigitalBoy

I'm pretty sure all of you should be my slaves, since I'm kind of the dude working on v8. That means you too, James. So without further ado, this is my list of demands: * Three cartons (not decks, cartons) of Winfield Gold Cigarettes. * Twenty cartons of Overproof Bundaberg Rum and Cola * Your souls I expect them by midnight, or there will be hell to pay (and by 'hell', I mean a long list of sexual favours, which could be hell depending on your perspective)
I'm afraid that Des already has my soul, so you'll have to take the matter up with him. Though the first two demands are easy to meet. I don't smoke or drink so I'll gladly hand those over to you. ;)

Something was wrong, Jennifer Caldis was positive of it as she awoke. Not only was she not in the small cottage she owned surrounded by the tall forests she had grown up in. She could not hear the sounds of the birds nor smell the soft sent of grasses and flowers that were not that far from her bedroom window. She did not know what this foreign stuff was that she was lying in, it was unlike anything she had ever seen. What dark sorcery is this? Jennifer thought as she climbed out, wincing at the strange sound of her feet hitting the floor. There were others there as well all looking as confused as she felt. She looked back at what she had been lying in. Above it was the elven symbol for five. Jennifer looked back at a human who was standing in the middle of the room, with red hair and blue eyes. He was wearing the strangest clothing that seemed stiff and unmoving except at certain parts. Nothing like her soft woven silk. "Who are you? What is going on here?" She asked him not expecting him to understand what she was saying. But to her surprise he answered her. "My name is Fredrick, and I've no idea what the hell is going on here. I don't even know where here is." He replied. "You speak my language?" She asked, surprised. He shook his head. "No, what ever this place is, it has built in translators." "I see," Jennifer said, though she wasn't sure what magic this translator he spoke of was. "My name is Jennifer." "Translators huh?" A male voice said. Jennifer turned as another human approached, one with blond hair. "Since when did we have translators that work so well you can't even tell the other person is using a different language?" "And you are?" Fredrick asked. "Oh, sorry, Gustaff Maldrachen. But enough of that. What the hell is going on here?" "I have no idea." Fredrick replied. Gustaff looked at the screen between the two doors on the walls. Reading the words on the screen. "The Maze? What the hell is that? If this is somebody's idea of a joke, it isn't funny."

It depends on how you read it. The word 'for' could be referring to mental health issues or a young man with mental health issues. OR I am grammatically lame and can't tell which one to pick. P: And I assumed that he had no friends. I know assumptions make an *** out of U and ME, but can you find any article that says he did have any friends? From what I heard from interviews of his roommates and people who knew him, he was pretty much a loner and didn't have any friends. Of course, nothing is certain. If people did try to make friends with him and it was to no avail, I would guess that Cho had fallen too deeply into this own problems or was too insecure to deal with it.
I was taking it to mean that no one cared about him at all. And there's no denying that regular friends would mean more than a professor. The whole thing is sad since even if he was a loner, there's no telling how many people tried to be friendly and gave up. If at all. I mean it's fairly obvious that he was isolated at the time it happened. But in the years before that? Those reports of him being a loner don't mean he was like that his whole life. And yeah, nothing is certain, other than there's no changing the fact that he killed so many people. Or that he was definitely messed up.

Jared had been handling not only his own duties but Sandra?s as well since the resistance had captured her. Leaving him exhausted at the end of each day, as there just weren?t enough hours to take care of everything. He had moved a good portion of the troops to the main cities in the US but as a result they had lost control of the more remote areas. And it just wasn?t going to be possible to change that until the reinforcements came from sector fourteen. And the High Council?Jared winced... they were far from happy with how things had gone lately. Making him glad that he was not in charge. Stevens, however, seemed to enjoy being in command of the space forces, in spite of how unhappy the High Council was over the recent events. In the last meeting things had started getting ugly until Stevens reminded them that he had told them that the resistance was a serious threat and they had not believed him. And even still a few of them were trying to pin some of the blame on Stevens, a tactic that had not worked since he had turned around and presented evidence from the recent attacks on Earth indicating that the weapons and explosives as well as the high grade disruption shields had come from sector one. Something that should never had happened. In the end, they had made it crystal clear that they wanted the base in the US dealt with and the criminals hiding there caught. And they wanted it done now. But it wasn?t that simple, Jared had been trying to get agents into the resistance forces from the very beginning, but he had lost contact with the last two operatives that had managed to get into the base. Leaving him with no choice but to start over, again. The Elite Specialist Kiva and her crew Daego were back, but she had been assigned to recovering Sandra and Darren. Hopefully that would also lead to locating the remaining base since Jared did not have time to even consider searching for it. And when things had been calm, the searching he had done had not produced any results. Jared stifled a yawn, wishing he could call it a day. ?Ready to be done?? Stevens asked from the vantage point of looking over Jared?s shoulder at the reports he was working on. Jared stopped what he was doing and turned to face Stevens, he hadn?t even heard him enter the bridge. ?If only. There?s just too much to be taken care of in Sandra?s absence.? ?True,? Stevens agreed, ?But that?s not why I?m here. Come join me in the observation room immediately.? Puzzled, Jared watched Stevens turn and walk to the observation room just off the bridge. Once the doors closed behind him, Jared turned back to what he was doing and closed everything before shutting the workstation down. I wonder what he wants? Jared didn?t waste any time and the moment the doors to the observation room closed behind him Stevens tossed him a data chip and instructed him to take a look. He pulled out his hand held computer and did so immediately, his eyes widening in surprise at what he read. ?Are they sure about this?? Jared finally asked. ?Not yet, the specialist in sector one and the one in sector seven have not been able to confirm it or to narrow down the list of possibilities.? ?Damn!? Jared swore. ?If they are right about this, then that means the person who got the security codes for sector seven as well as the authorization to get the explosives is someone very high up and possibly even connected to the High Council.? Jared whistled in amazement. ?I do have one question though, why tell me?? ?At the end of the report there?s a list of suspects who you worked with personally at one time. The specialist in sector one has requested that you send them any information you have on the people you know.? ?I?ll see to that immediately. Anything else?? Stevens shook his head negatively, ?unfortunately?no.? Jared bowed slightly, ?Then I?ll get started on this immediately.? He turned and left, forgoing the bridge in favor of his quarters. If it leaked out that they had a traitor at that level... he shook his head. It would definitely make the High Council look bad.
