I personally love Genjo Sanzo from Saiyuki. Sanzo: the only monk who smokes and drinks. He's fighting off demons while threatening his other teamates. I mean what other guy threatens his comrades because they're noisy? "Shut up, I'll kill you!" I believe it's his indifference that makes him a badass character indeed.

Anime Recommended Anime of the Week ^-^
kayutori_sama replied to MrsKakashi's topic in Otaku Central
Genshiken: An series about Otaku. What more is there to say? The entire show focuses about The Society For Modern Visual Culture, a small group of guys who love anime and manga, and one of the club members has a girlfriend who loathes all things otaku. A good anime if you're looking for humor. -
Yuusuke: "Hey guys! Look at my new IPod Yaoi! I wish I knew what yaoi was, though..." Kuwabara: "Cool. What happens when I push this button?" Guess what appeared on the screen. :p
That was pure genius my friend. You must win! Presenting the new representatives for Verizon Wireless! Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Kurama: Can you hear us now?

Anime Which series grabbed you from the start?
kayutori_sama replied to Nekova's topic in Otaku Central
Hmm I must say Trinity Blood stood out to me. The animation was good, and the first few minutes of the first episode were quite funny. I continued watching and I just loved the series more and more. Before actually watching it, I knew it would be something like Trigun fused with Hellsing. It greatly exceeded my expectations. -
Anime If you were stranded on a deserted island....
kayutori_sama replied to a topic in Otaku Central
And with his trusty butler always tagging along, you get not one, but two delicious companions.
Well said Delta. Well if yours truly was stranded I believe I'd pick either Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach or Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood. See I can't really pick between the two (or three if you count Cain). All have their qualities. Ichigo and Abel for humor and insanely fantastic fighting skills, and Cain Hargreaves (and his butler) for being flat out good looking. Such a hard decision.... -
Dun dun dun! Now your wish of a bucket of paint has been granted. The only weird thing is that this is outer space paint which is made from hydrochloric acid. While in the process of checking out your paint you accidentally drip some on youself and it begins to melt your skin. Being so startled, you drop the bucket of paint all over yourself and sadly, your skin, bones, and internal organs melt. Leaving you as a puddle of what was previously Ziggy Stardust. I wish I had the power of teleportation.
-
Happy day Ziggy Stardust! Now you live in the internet! The only downfall of this would be there are sadistic super hackers living outself the internet. Due to their extreme sadism, they create a virus that is unreversable and send it onto your internet world. This virus spreads quite quickly, and has soon contaminated your world and sadly destroys it. All memory of you and your world is now gone. You have ceased to exist and in a sense, never existed. I wish I owned all the anime merchandise I could ever dream of, and that it was all given to me for free!

Ah..now you are ruler of the world, except you rule a world dominated by cannibals, demons, and other supernatural entities which will eventually hunt you down and mutilate you and eat your flesh. I wish I was a ninja.

Ah yes socks. What kind of world would it be without socks? Where would we be without socks?! Personally, I love all types of socks, but I do have a preferance for low cut ankle socks while in tennish shoes. When I'm alone in my house, and it's cold outside;I whip out my long soccer socks and shamelessly slide around on my hardwood floors in my house. I'm the type of person that wears socks with flip-flops and doesn't really give a care. It's quite comfortable actually, and I think my socks are even beginning to develop a permanent indentation from where my big toe is seperated from my other toes. Hahaha. I love my socks. The only thing I find slightly annoying is when the strech band around the ankle begins to get slack, or one thing I dislike even more...the infamous "hoboe hole" in a sock. After many months, suddenly your big toe is sticking out through your socks:animesigh . Darn those hoboe holes!

I've wanted an Easy Bake Oven ever since I was a kid, but the pathetic aspect of this is, I can use the real stove and cook...yet I still want an Easy Bake Oven....:animesmil. Another thing I want would be one of those Geisha umbrellas. I just think they're neat for a reason, also a katana. I would flip out if I ever had the privilege to own one. Last thing I want...Ebony and Ivory which are Dante' guns from Devil May Cry.
I'm sorry, but ninjas would win they're too awesome. Here's a testimonial from a expert named Robert: "Ninjas can kill anyone they want! Ninjas cut off heads ALL the time and don't even think twice about it. These guys are so crazy and awesome that they flip out ALL the time. I heard that there was this ninja who was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon the ninja killed the whole town. My friend Mark said that he saw a ninja totally uppercut some kid just because the kid opened a window. And that's what I call REAL Ultimate Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't believe that ninjas have REAL Ultimate Power you better get a life right now or they will chop your head off!!! It's an easy choice, if you ask me. Ninjas are sooooooooooo sweet that I want to crap my pants. I can't believe it sometimes, but I feel it inside my heart. These guys are totally awesome and that's a fact. Ninjas are fast, smooth, cool, strong, powerful, and sweet. I can't wait to start yoga next year. I love ninjas with all of my body (including my pee pee). Here are some Ninja facts: 1. Ninjas are mammals. 2. Ninjas fight ALL the time. 3. The purpose of the ninja is to flip out and kill people. Q and A: Q: Why is everyone so obsessed about ninjas? A: Ninjas are the ultimate paradox. On the one hand they don't give a crap, but on the other hand, ninjas are very careful and precise. Q: I heard that ninjas are always cruel or mean. What's their problem? A: Whoever told you that is a total liar. Just like other mammals, ninjas can be mean OR totally awesome. Q: What do ninjas do when they're not cutting off heads or flipping out? A: Most of their free time is spent flying, but sometime they stab. (Ask Mark if you don't believe me.)" All information gathered from Real Ultimate Power!!!!
I have to go with Tatsubei Yagyu on this. He laid down the facts and brought them, and I'm not just saying this because I'm a part time ninja myself. On water of course the pirates would win, but then it comes down to the to the more elite of the elites: samurai or ninja? Everyone has brought good facts on both samurai and ninja, but I believe the ninja have it over the samurai. Indeed the samurai have speed on their side, but ninja have brute strength ,jutsu, and speed! Sure samurai have their katana and whatever other weapons they choose, but they don't have the ever faithful jutsu at their disposal. Also, samurai can't summon their chakra making their energy level skyrocket. Ninja all the way baby...either like it, or get your head chopped off. It's that simple.:catgirl:

If it was not already brought to your attention, Toonami will be airing Princess Mononoke next Saturday (March 25). Ask anybody who's seen the movie and they'll automatically tell you how graphic it is. My question is, what is are the chances of Princess Mononke airing uncut? Suprisingly Spirited Away aired uncut several weeks ago (likewise with tonight's airing), and those are both primetime slots. I would be ecstatic if Princess Monoke were to air with editting, but in my opinion, the chances of that are slim....or are they? kayutori_sama, I?m moving your thread to the existing Princess Mononoke thread. To avoid confusion we ask that you do not create a new thread but instead post in the current one no matter how old it may be. The average life of a taste bud is a mere 10 days. The 1900 Olypic games were held in Paris. The first zoo in America was built in Philadelphia. After eating too much food, your hearing becomes less sharp. In 1939 goldfish swallowing was started at Harvard. Every day the sun loses about 360 million tons. Dry fish make goldfish constipated. Toliet paper was invented in 1857. A slinky stretched out is 87 feet long. The left leg of a chicken is more tender than the right one. Who knew?...

I already wear contacrs, but they're just the run of the mill clear ones. I would like to try colored, but I haven't decided on which color. I will stay away from the brown ones though. A friend of mine has them, and they look just like doll's eyes (which is just odd and a tad frightening). Hmm those sharingan contacs sound very nice, check about those. As for piercings, I just like having my ears pierced. Currently I only have on in each ear, but I'd like to have three, so I'll be getting them pierced two more times each. I'm not really a big fan of piercings anywhere else, but that's just me. Tongue piercings just look flat out painful! I couldn't imagine having to eat with that in my mouth. I think a septum piercing would just be plain annoying, and distracting. The first thing about your face they see is a large ring jutting from your nose:sweat: . http://www.9mmsfx.com/lenses.html (BTW that is just a place where I found the sharingan contacts. They are a bit expensive though >_>.)

I'm SERIOUSLY going INSANE . . .
kayutori_sama replied to ilovekyonkichi's topic in General Discussion
Ah yes,the dreaded Obssesive Fangirl Disorder....I must say it's been awhile since I've come in contact with this. The only thing I can say is that it's going to pass. Like previously stated in the thread, it's a phase and you will be over it. I knew a girl who was "in love" with Kenshin for about a year, then one day she came to the realization that what obsessing over an anime character made no sense whatsoever. All fangirls/fanboys experience this at least once whether you admit it or not. Regardless of what you think or "feel" this character is not real, and you'll just have to cross that bridge. If you don't...I don't know how that wedding ceremony would go....o.O -
This is just another prime example of " Anime Extraterrestrial Growth Syndrome" sadly, a growing epidemic.

Your friend is the type of person that gives the non-snobbish otaku a bad name. Whether you watch an anime subbed or dubbed should be your choice. There is no definition to what a real anime fan is. We are all people with a common interest. Just because a person watches an anime in a particular language does not make them any more or less of a fan. If you like dubbing, watch the dub. If you like subbing, watch sub, but I understand that there are many instances where you aren't able to by or borrow an anime dvd, thus it can not be viewed in Japanese. Adult Swim dubs aren't bad at all. They've done pretty decently. So regardless of what your otaku friend thinks, you should do what you prefer personally. That's my 2 cents.

If you could have a store of your own..
kayutori_sama replied to animeaddict2's topic in General Discussion
If I was ever fortunate enough to have my own shop, it would be a bookstore that sold food , games and maybe an internet cafe too. Renting anime and games would be an option ,and you could pick up some anime merchandise also. Heh, a couple anime courier bags, plushies, keychains and DVD's never hurt anyone. A comfortable shop that would be a haven to nearly anyone. I would probably like to hold anime club meetings there (or any type of club meeting). There would be a good sized room, with a plasma TV, dvd player, and surround sound system, in the back of the shop to try out music, or previewing before you wanted to purchase it. The anime store where I live does that, and I find that to be a nice option. The only thing would be people that would try and watch the entire dvd and not buy it, but there would be regulations on how much of the dvd you would be allowed to watch. Basically, the shop would be all my favorite elements in one store. -
Ooh! And here's a big one! Steve Irwin vs. a SuperCroc! It was one of the biggest predators to ever live, and certainly the largest Crocodile-like creature ever. Those are the fights I'd like to see.
Hahaha, likewise. I would like to see Steve Irwin vs. Jeff Corwin. The battle of the nature men! Otakuboards vs. AnimeNewsNetwork. I'm just interested to see the outcome of that.:catgirl: Bill Gates vs. all the middle class people. Now that would just be plain funny. The inventor of the Hewlet Packard computer vs. the creator of the Dell computer. And finally, Books A Million vs. Barnes and Noble. The battle of the bookstores.
