I did, the other night. I was way inside the county, where every store is miles apart & it's not a very good place to get stranded. A girl around my age was hitchhiking & I gave her a ride to McDonald's (the only fast food restaurant in all of Powhatan). She didn't seem to have anywhere else to go (with which I can greatly sympathize) & I would have offered her to come to my house if i wasn't living with my parents. She was really nice though. Her name was Ashley. She said she's always walking up & down the highway, so if I ever see her again, I'll give her a ride then, too.

What would you do with a Trillion dollars?

I dunno.. Her own marijuana plantation..
Sweet. I've already got the shotgun, though. I am a country girl after all. :D -
Originally posted by Vegitto4 You also have nothing better to do out where you live............LOL j/k dear.....
Actually, it wasn't like a hobby or anything. It was just something to do while we were outside getting stoned. .... So, yeah. >_ -
1) I collect stuffed animals. Yeah, I know, it sucks. 2) I have no idea how much there are. There are too many of them in my room now, & I've already stashed a bunch in other rooms & closets. 3) My favorite one... probably my glowworm or black puppy beanie baby. 4) Uhh... I didn't mean to collect them but guys were always giving them to me. So... I don't know how long. I just don't have the heart to get rid of them. I mean, they're cute.
Originally posted by Queen Asuka I don't know, just listen to the words: Sexual frustration. I just know that when I get frustrated, I'm pissed and ANGRY. So, that would scare me if a guy came at me like that. So how would you guys define sexual frustration if it's not talking about violence?
Nah, both people who said that were chicks. Girls are allowed to say stuff like that, heh. Besides, it's fun to release sexual frustration. By the time you're releasing it, you're having too much fun to be mad, really.

I saw the video once. I love Johnny Cash, so I like the song. I used to be obsessed with the NIN version, back in that day. It was pretty surprising to me that he covered that song, though. A far cry from "A Boy Named Sue."
Originally posted by Endymion Angel/Angelus is different from Spike. Angel was so torn from his misdeeds as a soulless vamp, that he has a split personality. Spike doesn't refer to his previous self as another person. Angel does. Angel and Angelus are two different people. Although Spike came to terms with his soulless past, Angel never will. His two selves hate one another. I just saw this week's episode of Angel; Angel doesn't feel guilty about anything Angelus did over the past few weeks. As far as he's concerned, Angelus is some other guy who shares his body. Weird.
You know, that is a really good point. I never realized it. And everyone is pretty eager to forgive Angel when he reverts, & recognizes Angelus as a seperate entity, too. But with Spike it's different. People only try to kill Angelus as a last resort, after desperately trying to "save" him. I didn't see the Buffy episode from this week, so I'm not quite sure what's going on. NBC is showing two episodes of Angel this week. I just saw "Release" & "Orpheus" is coming on after SNL, Smallville, & Everwood, at 3 AM. Jeez, I'm going to be up late, but at least I'll be mostly caught up by then.,

UFO's, Aliens and the unexplained!!
Lady Macaiodh replied to TheShinje's topic in General Discussion
Hmmm. I used to be obsessed with sighting a UFO. I'd sit outside for hours waiting for one to appear. Jon used to tell me I was an idiot because he knew if one really did appear, I'd jump up & start waving. So he sat with me most of the time just in case, so he could knock me out really fast, throw me over his shoulder, & run into the house, lol. But these days, if I did see one, I'd be really freaked out, & if I saw an actual alien, I'd probably have a heart attack & die! So I'm kind of glad they haven't shown up yet. -
Originally posted by treton_noir the discard pile is the same as the graveyard. you can always destroy the enchantment unless something else says that you cant (or if it says that it cant be targeted or something similar). as far as combos go, ive been out of the game for so long (years) that i have no idea what kinds of outrageous abilities the creatures and spells have now. id suggest looking around on the internet. a lot of guys like to brag about what theyve got and what they do with it and they probably have it posted on their sites somewhere.
Ryan... I never would have guessed. ::Gets the hell out of this thread::

It took me a day to reply to this. I must say, I'm surprised. I didn't know you had it in you, Charles. One thing, though. Patient 13? Why not just get it over with & make it Patient 666? Otherwise, I feel like I have a whole new insight into your mind. Maybe, I should find out more?

Don't get me wrong, DK, I love you to death, but a band named Life of Agony would probably depresss me to the fullest.

Well, let's put it this way. The classic rock station has the only music worth listening to, & even that doesn't have a very good selection. Now, if only my tape player wouldn't keep playing things in fast-mo. So, my car sucks.

Oh, yes. I've heard of this. I have it reserved at the library. Isn't it the one about
the girl who gets murdered & looks down from heaven?
It's supposed to be one of the best books of 2002.

Beck is one of those artists that I didn't get heavily into, but that I greatly respect. He is a genius.

I started reading the book a couple of years ago, but, as I've noticed about most of his latest books, it took forever to get to the point. Until Vegitto4 described some of the movie to me, I still had no idea what it was about. What kind of movie was it supposed to be... scary or what?

All the people who don't go to Church....
Lady Macaiodh replied to eleanor's topic in General Discussion
I just wanted to let you guys know that I printed out this thread & showed it to my parents' pastor. He was wanting to start an active youth group in the church & needed insight. I normally wouldn't do something like that, but I do trust this man & know he has very good intentions. So perhaps our comments will serve to help other teens who are in need of a supportive community environment.:) The people I have discussed this with were very surprised with the opinions here. I think it might have really made a difference in this situation. -
DUngeons and Dragons corrupts Christians?
Lady Macaiodh replied to REVENGE2's topic in General Discussion
I have a few different perspectives on this. First of all, I was forbidden to play the game growing up, & frankly was scared to, because of this exact thing. It's a pretty common point of view... that D & D opened the players' minds to demonic possession. These days, I think this was an overreaction. Now that I know more about it, I realize that it wasn't the game that was the problem but the people playing it. I have known people that have gotten so into their RPGs, not just D & D, that it began to consume their lives. They played it even when they weren't playing it. It became another whole reality to them. In fact, they had a problem distiguishing reality from the fantasy. I even know of one person who sort of "commanded" a whole group of people by keeping the game ongoing in any given setting, 24 hours a day, & the people involved were somewhat brainwashed. It was exactly like a cult. So, yeah, in that case, it became dangerous, especially when there was black magic involved. I don't think that normally happens, though. -
Must... control... fist... of... death... Please, Americans... give me a reason to believe. Because so far, from what I've seen, the most advanced classes from the best rated schools in the universe, or whatever, have made the most ignorant remarks in this thread. Just so you know, we are very impressed with your 4.0s.

Angel Recap Request Here in Richmond, there is no WB. Angel airs at 2:35 AM on Thursday mornings on NBC. Obviously, this morning it was preempted because of special reports. So I was wondering what I missed. The episode title was "Release" & I'm positive now we're behind anyway. Also, who knows when it will air again? Not to be insensitive about the war, but, you know. So can somebody please tell me what happened? The last episode I saw was the one where Angelus killed the Beast & Cordy revealed to Connor that she is pregnant with his child. Details! Go ahead & tell me about the eps after "Release", too, if you don't mind. Final note: Connor is sexy but, for godssakes, get a haircut!

I think good luck is bound to happen to everyone eventually. For people who say "make your own luck" or whatever, sometimes we can't control the good or bad things that happen. IE: You play a scratch off lottery ticket & win. There is no way you could have predicted the outcome of that, or forseen it in anyway. That's lucky. IE2: You house gets completely leveled by an earthquake. Definitely bad luck. I don't believe it's a force or anything. It's just a word to describe situations. It's more of an offhand thing than anything else.

I'm having a hard time understanding why some people would rather Saddam continue his horrible atrocities, while setting up a dictatoral government that is already out of control & has the potential to last for generations -- rather than go to war. Nobody likes having to do it, but sometimes it's just necessary. Saddam needed to be confronted sooner or later. He wants to take over the world, people. He is an insane person with delusions of grandeur. He needs to be taken out of power soon before he stockpiles so many weapons that we can't easily stop him. After all, he already was able to gather enough anthrax to wipe out the population of the entire planet. Iraq admitted that during the last war, out of desperation for a cease-fire. That's the only way he would turn it over, the attacks. Saddam was lying up until the very last minute. You think he's telling the truth now? For those who oppose US intervention... you can't possibly imagine the horrible atrocities he commits, the ways he tortures his own people. But we should let in go on because it's "none of our business"? I'm not saying the timing is the greatest. I mean, Saddam had 12 years to comply with the UN regulations set during the last war. But he didn't do it. They gave him a deadline of 60 days to disarm 12 years ago. So this should have been dealt with long ago. ******* Subject change: I was watching the live footage tonight, at around 9:45 EST. I had never seen bombs going off right there live on TV before. It was so loud! Jessica & I were glued to the TV. We talked together about it.. & Jessica asked me if I thought anybody had just died. I answered that I'm sure people did. That kind of shut us up, because we realized we had probably just witnessed people die. It pissed me off, because all Saddam had to do was leave like Bush said, & he could have spared the lives of so many Iraqians. But he doesn't care about them, only himself & his own insane agenda. His own people are nothing but dogs to him. It doesn't matter if we'd attacked or not... those Iraqians were going to be killed & tortured at Saddam's whim for years to come. At least this way we might be able to stop it.
