1. Uh, basically, I had to drink liquid charcoal at the hospital, & you really can't help what happens next. I was pretty much running down the hall to the bathroom in my hospital gown while crapping on the floor the whole time as people stared...
2. Are you male or female? Female How long has your longest relationship lasted? 1 1/2 to 2 years... didn't keep track. What was the worst ending to a relationship you have been in? Divorce, court stuff, future custody hearing.. the works. What is the one thing you hope to find in your perfect mate? Quick wit that makes me laugh. What is your pet peeve about the people you date? Jealousy, controlling types with bad tempers. Have you ever used a pick up line? Never had to. My intentions are usually clear. Have you ever had a pick up line used on you? So many times, it's not even funny. -if so, did it work? The ones that sounded sincere did, if I was attracted to the guy. But those weren't really lines. Some of them were so stupid, even the guy knew it & got out of there as fast as possible. What do men want? Varies. But I think in the end, they want companionship & a family. At the moment, or the present time... it could be anyting. Sex, closeness, security (to not be alone)... In your opinon, what is the general behavior of women? In regards to men? For most of the people here, I would say, confused. Like they have no idea what's going on. Like men are a different species. People in general take the whole thing too seriously, I think, as if every relationship is the one true love. But I exaggerate.
3. Well, Ryan, I sure didn't get it. :therock:
4. Well, it's easier for us to see that people who dress like that aren't necessarily malevolent. But it's a bit harder for older generations, where most of the people who dressed "punk" or "goth", as you call it, were troublemakers. Yes, we live in a different age, or era of society, but most older people are set in their ways & not likely to change their minds. Also, you have to admit, many people dress that way to make some sort of statement of dissatisfaction with societal norms, which even our own peers can find abrasive or even a little scary. Yeah, I know some of you will jump in by saying that you just like that style of dress, but there's usually a reason for that, other than simple fashion. I'm speaking on the inside, here. I personally like those styles better than any other, and dress like that often. But I don't take offense if someone thinks I'm a freak, or evil, or whatever. In fact, I like it. That's part of the reason I started to dress that way!
5. Tori, you really have a unique perspective on it. It's funny about parents. In your case, you learned from negative example & don't want your life to turn out that way. In my case, I was so seriously sheltered that I went wild as soon as I got any freedom. I thought my parents were as dull as could be. Maybe we should all just act the opposite of how we want our kids to act, lol.
6.
Originally posted by Juuthena That happened a few months ago for us. >>; And, when I ran out of the bathroom, I ran into my guyfriend. You have no idea how many things I had to do for him before he let me out of the blackmail. --;
I've gone into the men's bathroom before, but on purpose. I didn't feel like waiting in the women's line. The guys always have more interesting graffiti. I'm sure some of you remember my emergency room story about the time I had to drink charcoal. Charcoal... noooo... ::dies::
7. I'm envisioning Star Trek for some reason... Humanity is pretty adaptable. Usually some disaster must happen to wipe out an entire species (such as a comet hitting the earth) but nukes don't qualify, in my opinion. People will always survive something like that. There will be enough to ensure survival. But I don't see either an idealistic society or a completely corrupt one. For every advancement we make as a species, there's usually some degradation, and vice versa. We'll have more societal advancements like the ones James mentioned, & we'll have better weapons to kill with, or what have you. Or maybe we'll all ascend to a higher plane of existance, lol.
8.
Originally posted by BabyGirl 1.) Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop. 2.) Faye is a hopeless romantic in disguise, always runs away to see if anyone care about her enough to follow, has a temper and is proud of it, knows how to be sexy and deadly at the same time, is ruthlessly composed when faced with those she hunts [or is hunted by]. Basically, yes, Faye and I are alike. I'm not as brutal or as whiny as her, but we're pretty darn close. 3.) When my hair was short I looked like her. Except for the unnaturally long and skinny legs, mine aren't quite that twiggy :drunk:
You know, I can totally see this.
9. Well, I'm pretty disappointed in this season, so far. One of my favorite things about the show in the past has been the interaction between characters, & that has been just horrible this season. And I'm not too crazy about Spike with a soul. They're not using him at all like they should. Everyone's all busy training & figuring out crap & having visions. Kennedy, I have no opinion of. She's just some girl on the show I know nothing about. In fact, if I hadn't watched the other seasons, I'd know nothing about anybody. Like someone, I think Shy, said, the character development (& interaction) has been crap this season. I'm way more interested in Angel this season, I think it's better than Buffy. I mean, what is going on with Cordelia? And the fact that Faith showed back up is so sweet. (I think the showing of "Angel" is behind in Richmond by a week or two, so if you know the answers to stuff, don't tell me.)
10. I think the couple doesn't get married til the end of the season. The five couples go to this hotel place & are voted off one by one. The winner gets a car & money, I think, but they only get the dream house if they stay married for a long time. I'm going to watch, because it's pretty interesting and there's nothing better on Monday night. It's either that or "Fear Factor" (which is just gross).
11. I will see it, because Bruce Willis is God. I'm not really into war movies too much, though, so I don't expect to be overwhelmed or anything. The critic in the paper said Bruce Willis was too old to play a lieutenant. What do you think?
12. Well, it's number 1 in America so I guess it doesn't much matter whether it's good or not. :therock: I'll see it on video. I don't go to theaters unless I'm really hyped about a movie.

Rocky

I was obsessed as a kid, but now I think the first one is the only one worth a damn.
14. Another one... 12 Monkeys... one of my favorite movies ever. I have this strange opinion about disasters... you know, earthquakes, diseases, wars, riots... I get a big kick out of them. Maybe the flu will spread, lol, thought I seriously doubt it. But I get kind of excited when bad stuff happens on a massive scale, don't ask me why. Maybe I'm just a weirdo. I can't stand the mundane.
15. Well, I've posted several different ones over the times, but I just thought of one. I'll keep thinking of others if I remember to, because there are thousands (though I don't get embarrassed, the stories are just funny). I was in the college cafeteria & I was really late for class, so I grabbed a table by myself, wolfed down my food, & started running with my tray. I was balancing all this other crap in one arm. Suddenly my tray tilted & everything came crashing to the floor. A bunch of stuff shattered. Everybody started clapping. I turned around & bowed, then raced out the door, leaving the mess for the janitors.
16. I have yet to encounter any sort of alter-ego in literature or entertainment... no one is that much like me. Or if they were, I didn't notice. Some of you could probably think of someone I was like a lot faster than I could.
17. Well, this thread has surely taken an interesting turn. What a way to guide an adolescent male toward the right direction: insulting, kid-bashing, hotheaded comments. Not to mention the *****-outs. Since rebellion is never a factor in this type of situation, in which people are attempting to persuade a teenager not to try drugs & sex, I'm sure the goal has been thoroughly accomplished. Yes, I'm sure Cyko came away from this "discussion" with the heartfelt decision to never do that stuff again, with inner thanks toward all of us more experienced folk who so wisely & kindly showed him the way. Great job, people. ::roll eyes:: Next time, perhaps we can refrain from calling him a loser, or saying we want to bash him into walls, hmmm?
18. Damn, that really sucks. Kinda throws off all your future plans, huh? Which just goes to show you, you can't count on anything in this life, other than the laws of physics. Maybe Harry was right. Scary. o_O;;
19. The first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title was that book The Stand... which I actually thought was a pretty cool scenario, if you were a survivor.
20. I really have no room to talk on this thread. But there is a better time to experiment. I think, at your age, you don't quite understand the possible consequences of smoking weed. First of all, it's not good for adolescents to smoke it, because it stunts your emotional growth. Basically, if you start smoking it now & continue to do so, you will remain a 13-year-old emotionally/mentally/personality wise in many ways until you quit. Statistically, you will be more likely to have behavioral problems & get into trouble. Your brain is growing & THC disrupts your neurotransmitters, stunting the growth of your brain. Not only are these scientific facts, I have personally witnessed this sort of thing many times with friends & loved ones (and also in myself). Besides, I've been in enough rehab to know. Secondly, as a person with a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge, it is much easier to get caught than you think. That's another thing -- no one thinks they'll get caught. You might not care about being grounded, but what if your parents or a friend's parents catch you again, or more than a few times? All it takes is one phone call to the police, or for you to get caught by the wrong person, & you go straight to J.V. And if you're over 18, it will follow you for life. And it's really embarrassing when you're trying to find a job. Do whatever you decide, but be sure you're aware of what it entails.
21. I do beieve that God created the universe, but I also believe that the account of the Creation in Genesis is highly metaphoric. There is a lot of evidence to support forms of evolution on this planet. And that is as specific as I'm going to get.
22.
Originally posted by GinnyLyn (I can't wait for my kids and/or grandkids to ask me if this had really happened when they study this in their history books.)
Yeah, I know. I was filling out a baby book the other day and I was at the part about "What was going on in the world when I was pregnant?" I had to write about all this stupid crap. The "World Leaders" section was too embarassing to even want to fill out, but I did it anyway.
23. It does not make sense that Veggie was revived by the Earth's dragonballs because he specifically was revived by them back on Namek (which brought Guru back so they could wish everyone off Namek but Furiza and Goku). Am I right, people!
24. If someone had that much money, I don't know why they'd invest in anything. I'd help others, go to college, buy an island, build a castle, be a hermit. My friends & family would be very, very spoiled. And I'd party a whole, whole lot. My music room/bar would be unbelievable. Yeesh, I'd just live it up.
25. Hmmm... maybe we should also destroy the Statue of Liberty since the French designed, constructed, & paid for it, too, as a gift to the United States. It's kind of a slap in the face to whoever invented those foods... a person who doesn't have anything to do with this situation at all... And I don't see why it's suddenly okay to disrespect a whole nationality of people, all of a sudden. People who think this is different from racism, gay-bashing, or prejudice of any kind, are fools.
