[COLOR=darkblue]hmmm... i won't say much b/c most of my points have been covered. but i do have a couple of thoughts. first of all, the goku fans say vegeta never really won b/c he always "cheated". for example, getting the extra power from babi-dee or knocking goku out by tricking him or going oozaru when goku couldn't. but in a battle, that's not cheating. in a real battle, a true warrior does whatever it takes to win. goku's soft heart is a weakness in this aspect. every single enemy he's ever let live has tried to come back & screw him (though i'm glad he's that way, he would have killed my darling veggie!). & think about it like this. when vegeta was defeated for the first time it took three guys to do it. three against one... hmm, that sounds like "cheating" to me! the z fighters are always teaming up against one or two guys. the goku fans have no room to talk! secondly, i don't really agree totally w/ the theory that goku was having fun w/ vegeta during the majin vegeta fight. 1) he was wasting time he could have spent w/ his family. 2) he knew that every blow vegeta landed would put buu that much closer to hatching. 3) he left gohan & kaioshin to go off & keep buu from hatching all alone, when they really could have used his help. if goku was [i]really[/i] smart, he would have went ssj3 immediately, knocked out vegeta in a few seconds, powered back down, then left to help the others so he could hurry up & go home. i mean, he hasn't had any sex w/ his wife for 7 years & he has never really hung out w/ his son, & he's going to sit there fighting w/ vegeta all day?? come on, people, if that's true then goku is even dumber than i thought. there's no point in analyzing it, b/c the writers did it that way so goku & veggie could have a good fight. & it worked, too. and. that. is. all. thank you & goodnight! :D[/COLOR]

[color=darkblue]here's my crappy opinion. 1) there's no way this is the same movie released in other countries b/c if so they'd have to subtitle it for the US & they only do that for artsy-fartsy type movies (mostly). also, this pic is aimed at young people, like young teenagers, & there's no way they'd sub a movie like that. you'd miss a lot of action. it's not like watching it on a video at home. 2) i doubt they will make a new villain. they're going to take the existing characters & twist it all around to make a different story. & they're going to ruin it, too, just like they ruined green goblin & lex luthor & mr. freeze & all the millions of other characters we know & love--just to make $$. did you see queen of the damned?? it didn't follow the original story [i]at all.[/i] 3) you have to be watching the show from the beginning (like, from the first ep. of the original db) to understand the camaraderie & rivalry between all the characters & why they bicker back & forth & so on. but people (like critics) who don't watch it are going to call it stupid & rake it through the coals, & that is going to seriously piss me off, whether the movie sucks or not. it would be like if someone who never watched dbz saw the garlic jr saga & said dbz was a sucky show. even though garlic jr saga does pretty much suck, if that's all someone saw of dbz, they could make gross generalizations b/c of it. so this movie could turn a lot of potential dbz fans off the show. 4) unless they animate it in some way, it's not going to look right. i mean, how are they going to make the hair wave around when they turn ssj, & stuff like that? what about piccolo? are they going to put green body make-up on somebody? & krillin! they can't find a good "vertically challenged" person that can do all that stuff! not to insult anyone, but i really don't think they can. & there are a ton of other examples. well, rick, i hope you're right & they're not rushing the production, b/c there are [i]a lot[/i] of ways they could screw this up. i have my fingers crossed, but i'm not holding my breath. & thank you for your time. [COLOR=darkblue]this has got to be one of the funniest threads ever. i laughed so hard about the boy on the bike w/ the bare butt being chased by the dog, i seriously almost peed. but i just remembered something that happened to me awhile back that can probably top every story here, so read this & let it be a lesson to you all!! this one time, i ODed on some pills trying to get high & had to call 911. when i was in the emergency room, they told me i had to drink charcoal. now, this stuff is regular charcoal ground up & mixed w/ oil to turn it into a thick liquid. i begged them not to make me drink it, but they said if i didn't they would put a tube down my throat. it was probably the most disgusting thing that's ever been in my mouth. i had to try hard not to puke. just so you know, this stuff is like liquid drano for the intestines. it shoots straight through you to flush your system, & when it's gone all the way through, there's [b]NOTHING YOU CAN DO[/b] to stop it from coming out. so the lady came & got me for the CAT scan. i was wearing a hospital gown & nothing else. i was walking through the emercency room when my eyes popped wide open. the bathroom was at the end of this long hall & i had to run in front of all kinds of people, families & [i]everything[/i]. [b]BUT I COULDN'T RUN B/C I WAS SO STONED, SO ALL I COULD DO WAS WALK LIKE AN OLD LADY![/b] so, by the time i made it to the bathroom, there was a loooong trail of jet black diharrea behind me. people were horrified & covering up their kids eyes & trying not to puke & stuff. then i stayed in the bathroom for like 30 min. then the same thing happened all over again on the way back to my room from the CAT scan! jeez, they could have at least given me a [i]diaper[/i] or something. i was so mad & humiliated, i couldn't even see. but it really is funny when i think about it now. the moral of the story is, don't OD & drink charcoal. esp. the charcoal part. if someone tries to give you charcoal, tell them you'd rather die.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=darkblue]i'm a girl, but i have a comment. my brother jon is [i]the[/i] most narcissistic guy i have ever met. he spends so much money on clothes, it's ridiculous. clothes, jewelry, car accessories, you name it. it's gotten so bad that (& this is the god-honest truth) he refuses to wear a shirt or whatever around someone more than three times. if you see him in a shirt three times, he won't wear it around you anymore. he says he doesn't want anyone to think he doesn't have a lot of clothes. plus, he lifts weights neurotically & goes to the tanning bed. he does all this so he can pick up women (& it works really, really well, too). i think he & i switched places b/c i'm a huge tomboy & don't get too concerned about clothes & can't stand shopping (right now i'm wearing a ripped-up misfits t-shirt) & he loves to shop & get dressed up & all. it must be nice to have that kind of cash! but i still think it's hilarious. i make fun of him all the time for it. :laugh:[/COLOR]
