i'm 22, live in richmond, virginia, USA, & my god, is it hot here (see my thread).

well, i don't know about where you people are, but the weather in virginia is freaking insane. yesterday, it topped off at over one hundred degrees. i saw on the news that people were passing out from heat stroke all over the place. i even saw an ambulance loading someone up on the way to this library. & it's only april! what's it going to be like when the hot months hit?? this really sucks for me, b/c i have to take the bus everywhere, which means standing under blazing sun for up to half an hour in one spot. sometimes even longer. i've been walking around the city literally squirting myself with my water bottle. i think i squirt more on myself than i drink. but hey, at least i give the guys a beautiful view of my wet tank top, lol. this makes me think the whole global warming think might be a big deal after all. it's always hot in virginia over the summer, but i don't ever remember it being this bad. &, come to think of it, this winter was hot, too. i was wearing shorts in february. well, i'm building an ark just like noah for when the polar ice caps melt. maybe waterworld wasn't so farfetched. do any of you think it could happen? are we going to be in trouble in a few decades?

when i was a kid it was greek mythology. there was this special encyclopedia we had that had a big greek myth section (which i'm sure my parents didn't know about) & i read & re-read it non-stop. it used to make me sad, b/c i wished that stuff was real instead of my parents' religion. nowadays i love reading hindu mythology. i guess polytheism makes the most sense to me, but i also like the all-in-one aspect. my next research mission is celtic mythology. i already know quite a bit about it, but not enough.

i dunno... it takes a lot to piss me off or really annoy me, but ignorance & intolerance are right there at the top of the list. also, when people try to push or force their views on me (i.e., try to convince me to eat meat or become a christian) b/c usually i know more about the subject than they do & all they're trying to do is nag me until i throw up my hands & give in. that is sooo stupid! if you have to [I]nag[/I] someone into a belief, then it is worth nothing at all!

you know, that original post by darkness reminds me of elaine benis from seinfeld. she & her boyfriend broke up b/c he didn't use enough exclaimation points, lol. unfortunately, for my 21st, it was a sunday so i couldn't go to the liquor store. but i did go to a bar, & when the bartender saw it was my 21st b-day, he gave me all the vodka shots i wanted for free. i had to walk home, though. i'm not quite sure how i made it back. this seems like a lame excuse to me. all he has to do is be like, "look, i don't want to go out w/ you. i'm not your boyfriend anymore." & then just never talk to her again. he's allowing her to manipulate him & that's just lame. i understand she's a stalker & all, but jeeze. if he really wanted to dump her, he'd have done it by now. you can only spare someone's feelings so much in this situation. she's going to get hurt either way, inevitably. the longer he says w/ her, the harder it will be to break it off & the less likely he'll be to do it. i'd forget about him. i don't know the situation, but from what you said, it sounds like he has no spine. you deserve a real man, jessie!

yep, alice, that's my number one addiction... you know me so well. :p i'm also addicted to dbz (vegeta in particular), anne rice, sublime & nirvana, anything punk, the color black, buffy the vampire slayer &..... i hate to admit this, but... days of our lives. i've been watching since i was nine & now... i... just... can't... STOP! GAHHH! **throws herself off bridge**

i'm not going to say anything other than this topic made me sick, & that it's people like that that hold this country back.

i never excercise anymore. luckily i was born w/ the perfect body, lol. seriously, though, i used to excercise for hours, neurotically, every day. but i quit when i quit gymnastics. training & competing had been my whole life... &, under the circumstances of why i quit, i didn't want to do anything that reminded me of it. damn, my abs aren't what they used to be.

goten is worldlier (example: goku thought bulma's car was a monster) but they both have the same playful, carefree spirit. personality wise, there aren't many differences between them. it's rather odd, if you think about how alike chibi goku & goten are. chibi gohan was nothing like chibi goku (except for the unnatural power levels) & he grew up w/ goku in his life. goten never even met goku until he was at least seven. must be a genetic thing.

they show unedited outlaw star & tenchi on adult swim. maybe they'll eventually show unedited dbz. but i still think the subs are better anyway.

i don't have a bedroom & haven't in years. however, when i was a teenager, one wall was filled w/ a shrine to kurt cobain & nirvana (his death day just happened on april 5th, btw) & the other walls were painted or sketched all over until there was no space left. those drawings are still there. i'm hoping that one day, when i have a son or daughter, they'll spend the night in there & feel connected w/ their mother. or something else sentimental. of course, all the drawings were from nirvana cds or inspired by nirvana lyrics. i was slightly obsessed.

spring break? what the heck is that? lol i wish to god i were still in high school. weekends, vacations, summers off, blowing all your money on clothes & partying--egad, i can't believe i thought i had problems [I]then![/I]

i know what you mean... one of my best experiences was youth camp when i was 14. of course, this was before i experienced the true hypocrisy of the church, lol. i think, though, that church or other religious places can be very positive as long as you ignore the stupid people.

i'm personally not afraid of it. dying is just like changing clothes... you just move to a different form of existence. death is misunderstood that way. it isn't even real, if you think about it. however, dying before i accomplish what i want to do... now that disturbs me.

i don't really listen to either unless i'm at a rave. but as long as i can dance my *** off, i have no preference. :D

did you ever see the episode where homer tripped balls after eating the hot pepper? lol adam said it before i could... illegal sales of weed would come to almost a complete halt if it were legal (not including adults buying for minors, fake id's, etc.). i think libertarian... we should only be punished for crimes against others. smoking weed/doing drugs only counts as a crime against the self.

ever since all that crap happened w/ my boyfriend the other day, i've had recurring dreams that he's trying to kill me in different ways. i haven't had any good sleep since.

what the heck are you complaining about? lol. at least you have a modem. i don't even have a phone! i have to go to the library every time i want to get online. & i'm running out of bus tickets! hey, a bad net connection is better than none at all, imo.
