1. I have to agree with Asuki that Raven's poem was my favorite. I'm not a very traditional poet myself, and I love poems that are unique. I'm not going to vote off anyone, but I have to say that I always thought Raven would be my biggest competition in this contest, and she has proven me right so far. Great poem, Raven. One thing I must add, though -- Braidless Baka, I did not know you at all before Otaku Idol began, but I am thoroughly impressed so far. It's going to come down to the wire on this one. PS: I'm sorry that I did not submit an entry. I had too much going on, and I didn't want to write at all.
2. When I had that cyst removed during my c-section, they did a biopsy on it and it turned out to be pre-cancerous. So I have to go to a cancer doctor next week on top of everything else, just in case I develop ovarian cancer. I don't really care, though. I kind of hope I die from it.
3. I'd want to have control over things left to chance, because I hate feeling helpless.
4. Everybody knows that my list of loves slaves is way too long to put here... But my number one crush was, is, and forever shall be JAMES. My fellow Angels are quite hot, too.
5. I'd never want to be a mod. TOO MUCH WORK.
6. Hi, everyone. This is Deborah's Mom. She wanted me to let everybody know what's happened with her baby, Christophe Jon Michael. He was born July 2nd and was 8 and 3/4 inches long and one pound seven ounces. Christophe was the cutest baby ever and very precious to us. It was amazing that someone so tiny could have such a powerful and profound impact on all of us who knew him. He was tiny but had perfect little hands and feet and everything. We had him with us for just over a day. But as often happens with very premature babies, he passed away the night of July 3rd. We wish very much that he was still with us. Deborah is not feeling well, so she will probably be away for a while, but she will write when she feels better.
7. This is Deb. I probably wouldn't have gotten Sarah to post if I knew how it was all going to turn out. My son died in my arms on July 3, at 6:45 p.m. I will probably not be back on here for a long time.
8. Cristophe was due October 19th, so about 3 1/2 months ahead of schedule
9. I didn't get to see his face very well, but I have an intuition that he will look just like her...
10. Hi, everyone, this is Sarah, Deb's best friend. Deb has been in the hospital for the last 3 days, due to some unexpected activity in the baby zone. She had contractions Saturday night/Sunday morning, so she went to the hospital. They stopped the contractions, and sent her home. But... Yesterday, she experienced more interesting symptoms, so back to the hospital. Then, this afternoon, around 2ish, she started having contractions again, and ta-da, they had to do an emergency C-section! Now we have a teeny tiny baby boy (14 inches long, 1 pound, 7 ounces). You would not believe how small that is! His little head is maybe 6 inches in circumference. Anywho, mom and baby are doing great. Deb will be in hospital about 3 days more, and baby will be there quite a bit longer. He seems to be quite healthy, kicking his little feet and such... Will update when there's more.
11. I have been in the hospital since before this round began, and I have to stay in bed for another week, so I guess I'm out. :)
12. Since you haven't been playing keyboard for very long, you should probably stick with that, unless you have other musical experience or just plain don't like it. It's good to just get used to playing an instrument, and to learn about keys and harmonies and all that. I think that once you can really handle one instrument, you find that all the others aren't very different. They're a lot easier to pick up. But if you really want to branch out, go for it. Maybe keyboard isn't your forte. I play several instruments, but always neglect the non-guitar ones, lol. I really want to learn drums next, but have no access to a set or a teacher.:(
13. Are the posts going to go back to where they're supposed to be, or do we have to edit them?
14. This looks familiar, and I can't remember what I put before, so I'll just give a smart *** answer. I think I should be the lead vocalist and guitarist, because I am the greatest. I would let Heaven's Cloud and Treton_Noir in the band, too. There ya go.
15. Well, that's a lot of info. You must really love NIN to have all that memorized. I used to really love them. I guess I still do. But they're too depressing/angry overall for me these days. Of course, the only CDs I had were Pretty Hate Machine, The Downward Spiral, and Broken, so they might have stuff that's not like that.
16. I don't know why I wrote it. Maybe it's because I was looking at my left arm the other day in disgust. I never got as bad as all that, though.
17. I don't know, it was never that complicated when I joined one. Usually it's because I was starting them myself. When I picked who I wanted to be in my band, I picked the person who was the most compatible with the music I wanted to play. I didn't really care if they wrote their own songs or not, because we wouldn't be playing theirs, lol. Once everybody is in-sync, that's when you start incorporating ideas. As for myself joining bands, I usually just heard through the rumor mill that somebody needed a bass player, or whatever it was. Then I just played whatever they told me to for awhile, because I wouldn't have joined the band in the first place if I didn't like them. As long as you're pretty much on the same skill level as the other band members, you should be okay.
18.
Originally posted by The Harlequin That's more than a little sexist though. I somehow doubt sex is based entirely on what the male is doing. Even if both people are virgins though, it's very unlikely they haven't "experimented" on their own, and even if they havent, it's pretty damn obvious when something feels boring enough that you fall asleep.
I was talking about both kinds of oral sex & all. Either gender. Females ejaculate, lol. Falling asleep? *_* Now that would truly suck. I don't think I've ever had sex that bad. I usually just fake it to get it over with, heh.
19. I have to have surgery on my left ovary in November. I wish they would just do it now, as it gives me a stabbing pain at times (like right now), but I have to wait until the baby is born. The only other surgery I've had is getting wisdom teeth removed, but that doesn't really count... though my face did swell up to the size of Kathy Ireland's. PS: Damn, Raiha, you sure have been injured a lot.
20.
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel I've never cried at a movie to my knowledge. The only one that makes my eyes water a bit is Edward Scissorhands. The ending scenes to that movie are incredible.
It's the only movie I've ever cried at, either. I think it's because it was the first movie of that nature that my parents allowed me to see (and the only reason they did was because they needed time alone on our vacation) and it shocked me. I was only 13 or so, and surrounded by kids I didn't know, so I had to choke it back. If I'd been at the theater, though, I would've bawled like a baby. I must also add that I've had a thing about Johnny Depp ever since but anyway... I'm more of the type that makes fun of the people that cry, lol. I should probably stop that, though, since people could make fun of me for how scared I can get during certain movies... I just remembered this. I did cry when Bambi's mother died. I was around 5, I guess. And y'all don't deny you did the same, because it was the saddest scene ever, and you know it.
21.
Originally posted by Fate My boyfriend may not know this, but I think it's just the cutest thing when he acts like a horny pervert.
That'll probably get old after while, lol.
22. The guy described in the original post sounds a little socially awkward. Maybe seen as somewhat of a brain, or unapproachable. He probably shows off his intellect by acting arrogant sometimes, because that's the one thing he feels he can be proud of. I wouldn't take it personally. It's an ego boosting thing. And maybe the characters were just ridiculous, like he said, lol.
23. Okay, so we're talking about both people being virgins here. I thought having a particular couple wait until marriage, together, would also apply, even if they weren't virgins. But I'm not explaining this right, and I can't apply myself to any virgin situations, so bah. Anyway, Turkey sort of brought this up and I thought I'd elaborate. There's this phenomenon in my church/old school regarding marriage, and I'll explain. The concept of abstinence is completely drilled into the youth group. You have to sign a pledge that hangs on the wall and everything. What ends up happening is that couples in my church get married really, really young, like when they're still technically teenagers. It's bizarre. I couldn't imagine marrying someone I've been going out with since I was 15 and getting married right after graduation. I understand that some high school sweethearts stay together, but the rate couldn't be that high... especially when there's only about 20 kids in each grade at my old school, anyway. Bad odds. I do agree with James that sex in a relationship should get better with time. And one plus of waiting is that you won't base your relationship on sex, like so many people I know. Oral sex seems like it should count as sex. I think it's as soon as ejaculation is involved. Man, I don't know, lol.
24. Well, I figured that out a long time ago, so it doesn't change my opinion of you whatsoever. I'm glad you finally feel you can really say it, though. :p :) This is a good place to come out though, considering all the gay and polygamous marriages around here, lol.
25.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Well thats a dumb word. How can one be dumber than another... I mean... if you can't speak then you can't speak, there's no levels of dumbness. But I suppose the slang for it can have levels.. but still... thats ridiculous... why not just say "more dumb"... it sounds much better than "dumber" thats for sure...
*_* Anyway... For the people who dye their hair, what style do you have? Do you spike it up, or what? I used to put mine in dredlocks back in the day. That was a long time ago, though, lol.
