Xbox 360- they announced the price point yesterday. for $300 you get just the console and a controller. For $400 you get the console, a 20 GB HD (which allows you to play original xbox games, and download stuff) a wireless controller, a wireless headseat, and a ethernet cable (WOOT!). It looks like the majority of the games will be cliched first-person shooters, action RPG's (crappy americanized ones), and racing games will be the main type of games. I probably get it for Christmas, but I am looking forward to the other 2 systems much more 6/10- game library needs work Playstation 3- Like alot of other people said it will probably be around $350 or $400. The games will probably be the best out of all the systems with MGS, DMC, and the numerous RPGs. Personally I am a strategy/RPGer so I am looking forward to this the most. Also it looks like it will have the highest graphical power. 10/10- price is a little high Revolution- Small price possibly around $250 This system looks like it is going to be the most innovative, with it's touch screen controller. Also you have the lineup of Nintendo idols like Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Samus, and Star Fox. Not only that but you will be able to buy classic nintendo games off a internet shop. The only bad things are the lack of RPGs and third-party support. 8/10- GET MORE DEVELOPERS!
A lot of anime fans are boys out there, that, is where my fantasy of an anime club fails. My school is, sadly, all girls, and is not the slightest bit interesting at all.
Alot of girls at my school are into anime, actually more like the girl-power anime, shoujou or whatever it's called. Thier was this one day when a girl walked in with a Cowboy Bebop shirt, so I could definitely get a good amount of members from both genders for a club.

I love how people say their is a lack of a library, especially the people who don't have it. Yes they do have alot of ports(THUG 2, Midnight Club 3) or original versions of already established series (Hot Shots Golf Open Tee, Metal Gear Acid) but these 4 games are waaayyyy better then any DS game, Advance wars Ds, Warioware, and Mario 64 DS being the only good games for the DS (all which are from already established series). Personally this looks like a case favortism towards the handheld you own. Honestly the PSP's launch library was ALOT better then the PS2's launch. The only thing the DS has over the PSP is those wierd Japanese surgery and lawyer games, which I do want to play.

...once again I played this game as a rental, as I played the orginal and wanted to see how far the series had evolved. Really don't say things are good anymore, you are saying 2 of the most terrible games on the gamecube (aside from movie based games) are good (custom Robo being the other one). Both of the games have low production values, terrible graphics, ear-drum breaking sound, and some of the most boring and non-existent stories ever. Not only that but both of the games have gameplay exactly the same as other games that are pretty sub-par. Custom Robocopies of of games like virtual-on and Armored Core, and colosseum copying off of the last ten crappy pokemon games.

I buy most of my anime, as I usually fall asleep before any good anime comes on. This means I really don't have to wait for the answer to any cliffhangers. The biggest one I have seen is episode 25 of .hack//sign where
Helba has to restart (or whatever she does) the level Tsukasa and his friends are on because the A.I in the world was destroying everything.
Then you have to wait 2 episodes before you find out what happens.

Man that sucks. All my friends are really big Zelda fans, and were really looking forward to it coming out this holiday. Anyway I am glad they pushed it back, from what I saw it looked a little too similiar to the other Zelda games, and needed a little more work.
-
I really have no clue what you are talking about, their is only one version of the game, that came out May 2004. Just in case you were confused, Custom Robo and Custom Robo: Battle Evolution are the same game.
One movie in particular that I am looking forward to the most is Final Fantasy: Advent Children.... GOD THE GRAPHICS!!!!!!!!!!
He was talking about flash movies made using in-game engines by a group of small people, not movies based on games that are made using a different engine.

Manga I need a list of dark mangas. Domestic or Import.
Killer7 replied to Otaku America's topic in Otaku Central
Try Bastard!, I heard it was dark and pretty good, I haven't read it myself though. It is supposed to be some sort of heavy metal manga or something. -
I really want an anime club too, I have a decent anime library so it wouldn't be hard to find something to watch, and I know 6 or 7 people off the top of my head who would come, the only problem is finding teacher support, I have no clue which teachers like anime, or would be willing to help, if any.

Yeah, I really don't consider it anime. Not only do I find it alot more boring and simplistic then most anime's (excluding excel saga), but it also isn't as funny as it tries to be. The funny thing is that my 14 year-old friends love this show, and memorized the opening in fricken japanese, yet they hate anime and make fun of me for watching it every chance they get.

Man I saw gphoria and it was just total crap. Come on, Wilmer Vladeramma as host? Not only is he only funny as a foriegner, but from what I saw, he is definitely not a gamer. Also 99% of the guests' last played game was fricken Pac-Man. All the presenters were clueless like that too. Finallly, thier was way too many categories based off of sports games.

hmm...so many choices, so I will say my top 3 1. Killer7- this is perfectly suited as an anime, their are even anime cutscenes in it showing certain battle scenes. The graphics are cel-shaded, so they are close to an anime style, and they have an amazingly wierd but great story line. 2. Metal Gear Solid- a great game with an awesome story, it is very heavily influenced by anime ( snake's contact buddy is called Otacon) and the cutscenes show this. Also I would like an expansion of the story line to see what happens after the second game. 3. Devil May Cry- This game and it's main character are so friggin cool, their has to be an anime. The over-the-top action is perfect for an anime, and so is the overly cocky character My anime to game would have to be Escaflowne, it would be a good ZOE-esque game.

:animesmil I beat about a year ago. Honestly, it was terrible. bad graphics, terrible story, and an utterly broken combat system. The only reason i played it in the first place was because I had one of those "rent as many games in a month as you want" thing and was bored. You seem like one of those people who likes games because they own them, and don't like feeling like they wasted money. Either that or you want other people to waste thier money on a stinking pile of poo, if so I won't tell. ;) Oh and I forgot about the characters who are about original, cute, or cool, as a wet noodle.

Anime What if you could have any Anime turned into a movie?
Killer7 replied to a topic in Otaku Central
Cowboy Bebop definitely. THier hasn't been any noir type films for awhile and this would be good as noir with a little bit of comedy, also the action scnes would be perfect for live-action, they aren't totally over the top. Also they could continue the story after the last episode (even though he probably died) as a sort of what if? and of course, as shown with the anime movie, they could just add it in to the regular story line. -
1.Shadow of the colossus- A puzzle game by the makers of Ico that looks to be one of if not the most innovative games of the year. You basically ride throughout some world looking for collosus' on your horse. They are giant stone monsters from ancient times, and killing each one is a puzzle. You have to kill all 18 to bring a loved one back to life. 2. Kingdom Hearts 2- Easily the best action RPG ever, great exploration, story, and combat. Oh and simple and clean, lol. 3 Their are no more, this year is the year of the extremely cliched games. Soul Calibur 3 looks like it is going to be exactly like the 2nd one, and the rest of the games are either cheap cop-offs of GTA or just terrible games.

Wait...thier is a xenosaga anime? is it out on dvd yet? and is it any good? Xenosaga is one of my favorite rpg's.
-
Yeah, I bought my pass last night, I did pay 50 dollars for one day, but really I want to go very bad, so I don't care. Hopefully I will be able to get a ride to go another day, but I don't know if I will.
-
Yeah I want both Makai and Generation of Choas, even though I have only played on of their game, La Pucellle tactics. I just love thier style of gameplay so much. Oh and the comedy in their games is refreshing.

4kids has never been good with theme songs, the evidence being the Pokemon and Yugioh songs. Honestly if they had somehow been allowed to translate it, they could of screwed up Spirited Away. Honeslty though I don't think I can name one good anime they have translated other then Tokyo Mew Mew.

For me it is true, me and my friends who watch it are in a way losers, it isn't always for losers, but whoever gets into anime gets sucked into because it is so cool and deep, they in turn lose all social life. Also alot of the good anime is very deep, and hard to understand if you aren't smart you need at least have good reasoning skills, and when people are smart they are considered nerds, even though that isn't exactly true, I get all A's but I haven't studied in 3 or 4 years.

I am only going for one day, Friday. I won't be cosplaying, since I was not sure of my plans until too late, along with the fact I don't have any money and I am not good with a sowing machine. I might be able to go on Sunday too, but I am going to have to take a train up there. I am going with 2 of my friends.
-
The fact is that anime is so much more advanced then a regular cartoon it is hard to mix them up. more blood, deeper themes, complex stories, and extensive character development. For example, Avatar's story is cliched, has no blood, no themes, and from what I have seen, no character development. The big-eyed style may be able to be compied, but the complexity can not.

Now will be somebody's retort " God does not like to show himself" or something like that. Honestly most of the "miracles" Jesus preformed could of been been faked. People he brought to life, who says he didn't pay them or promise to forgive thier sins, if they pretended to be dead, back then thier was no way they could tell the difference.
-
Yeah, I had my parents watch Spirited Away, and they absolutely loved it. The fact is that many people get into this when they are younger, as they are more open to things. Since anime has only been a reasonable force in America for a decade or two, it has not given much time for anime fans to get hooked.
