[COLOR=#0e1030][SIZE=1][FONT=Trebuchet MS]What little I know of Japanese comes mostly from books and various online sources. Those helped a lot,but since I suffer from a horribly low amount of Zeal at times I usually give up and do something else. I can hardly read and Kanji and the only reason I can barely read any is because I play a lot of imported games. The only other language that I can say I'm pretty good in is Latin. If I had to gauge myself I could say I could hold a simple conversation (As long as there was no complex vocabulary used). I've been taking it for the past two years as my foreign language at school and am trying to learn what I can on greek on my own. Anywho, the only real advice I can give you on learning Japanese is to really make sure you want to learn it and not just give up half way though. Even after taking a language for two years I still only just a bit of it. Like others have said, its better if you have an actual teacher to teah you than to learn it by yourself but the latter can be used in some cases.[/FONT][/SIZE][/COLOR]

Basically the host person goes around and asks people their opinion on a certain question and then once all of there responses are counted. They then ask the contestant to guess what they think was the most popular answer in the survey. So its pretty much predicting what other people say. [SIZE=1][FONT=Trebuchet MS]Episode 6 really was good, [spoiler]I was saddened to see Havoc go. She was really beginning to grow on me but characters with her purpose usually die early anyways. She does get credit for one of the oddest remuneration so far.[/spoiler] About South America though. [spoiler]I am certain in an earlier episode, I saw that Heaven's Gate actually was in South America taking up a good portion of Eastern Brazil but not all of it. So unless it was that, that took away part of Brazil or I'm just mistaken or something. Yeah, please fill in the gaps.[/spoiler] It would be ironic if [spoiler]Hei's real remuneration was to have feelings or something, the irony would be just too much for me.[/spoiler] [/FONT][/SIZE]

I just took her out to eat (since I was driving she really went all out on the alcoholic drinks). It wasn't anything special though although the server was really nice and gave her a rose. It must have been a lot though seeing as the tab came to around $100.00 and I offered and did pay for it. So other than that proud moment nothing much happened.[/FONT][/SIZE][/COLOR]

Yet that quickly faded away. [COLOR=#0e1030][SIZE=1][FONT=Trebuchet MS]Wow, after watching in normal order, and getting bored and watching it back in chronological order ( I had lotsa free time today). I finally finished the series and all I have left to say is well, wow. ---- Ah after much delay (health reasons and whatnot) I can finally post mah thoughts. First of all, this series really turned up to be the exact opposite of what I had though it would have been like. Having the setting in a high school that (at first sight) seemed relatively harmless and I though it could have ended up as some odd kind of Shojo series. After the second episode though it really livened up my spirits seeing as Haruhi bluntly admitting what she wanted for the club. [spoiler]Having powers that are similar to that of a god pretty much does enable you to do whatever you want[/spoiler]. Her actions are probably what really kept me watching. Her being a[spoiler] child abductor, child molester, black mail expert, instant detective, starfleet commander, and a rock star[/spoiler] The other thing that kinda irked me was the episode listing, while at first I didn't get at all, soon threw me into much chaos and dismay. However, after watching the series both ways. It seemed to me that the original ending (the way it was aired one), seemed more like an ending than the chronological one. Its kind of hard to explain but for me it just had more of that ending feeling on me while the chronological one just seemed more or less "eh.." All in all I really, really, [I]really[/I] enjoyed this series and pretty depressed that I missed the original bandwagon when it first came out. I don't really tend to watch a lot of comedy based anime's so I really don't know how to give it a proper review. The only thing that I was really annoyed with was that they were high schoolers that looked more like middle schoolers (I know this was mentioned in the opening post but I either forgot it or something). Its the one thing that can usually turn me off from a series but in this case I think the overall cuteness of the character design counteracted that. I mean seriously, if you want to make a series about high school sophomores, make them [I]look[/I] like high school sophomores. In my mind doings something like this is the equivalent of getting some ten year old, slapping an 18+ age marker on their forehead and throwing them into a hentai film. Besides that I though it was pretty good, its only the first episode so it would be rather harsh of me to judge it so harshly. The Street Fighter thing as well as the .hack//roots reference did make it pretty enjoyable. (epically since the foreigner happened to be American lol). So I'll probably stick around for the ride. PS: Its kind of ironic though that Konata and I dislike baseball for the same reason..[/FONT][/SIZE][/COLOR]
