Have you had a pet that thinks your it's mom?
StarSword17 replied to Raccoon Chick's topic in General Discussion
I have a nine year old beagal-mix, Blaze, that loves me more than any dog I swear I have had before him. If I'm watching tv and sitting in the floor, he's in my lap, and even if I'm working on my college work and such, he's in the middle of it wanting play time. Even when I'm at the computer, he's curled around the base of my computer chair sprawled out asleep like a little puppy. He's so adorable *grins* :D! I know I'm loved when Blaze is around. Oh, there's one cornier...Battle B-Daman (sp?) Its much worse...they fight by shooting little balls at one another from these little mechs they hold...*pulsing vein* Its a disgrace to all anime really.. :animeswea. Quite embarrasing really, I shocked myself that I tried to sit through a episode...but the powers of its stupidity drove me away and normally I don't run from anime!

Ah-ha-ha, Fruits Basket is great, though back to the original start of the thread, it is a shojo manga, but I really fail to see how its particularly demeaning to guys. Its more real life, a bombshell of a comedy actually, but it does involve romance with few life lessons thrown in. I have all of the available mangas for it so far and I really don't think its a bad one for guys. I actually have let a couple guy friends of mine borrow them for a bit and when they returned them they were howling with laughter and wanting to go buy their own. Its good and for those of you who haven't gotten as far as I have, it does really take a very serious turn and there is less comedy, more drama, and more of the darker side of the Sohma curse with Akito...but I won't spoil, I promise, but it is a excellent manga and I'd recommend it to anyone who was curious for a good manga to read.

Hmm, the RPG I play has great ways for character creation and a awesome back story thats nearly irresistable, if you are into the novels that its based off. Still, the character creation, in this is amazing, you can really hit in depth information on your sona truly make them believable and they can hardly be passed off as sketchy. Thats why I voted for character creation. If you can only create a lousy character or something thats barely above being generic (not saying thats the case all the time, just summarizing) then how can the character be realistic enough to play with in the RPG world? A back story is great to, and thats why I voted for it as well, but to me, my characters are the most important part of the game. When I joined my RPG, I had no clue who was making it or who had even joined it, so I have a difficult time seeing its revelence to the game, which may just be my greeness showing through, I don't RPG often enough :animecry: but I do know what I like. Then again, that could be me being weird, so who knows... :catgirl:. Still, I do enjoy walking into the game and not knowing who I will meet and who my little Tallana is gonna encounter, which personaly makes it kinda fun, you know? I mean if you know everyone there, then part of the fun is gone, becuase you already know pretty much well everyone. Anyway, just my thoughts on RPGs...

I'm a fairly calm and laid back person, I think the last time I was ever truly angry and my temper really flared was two years ago when my best friends ex-boyfriend destroyed her on every level and ruined someone I really cared about. When that happened, I was ready to nueter him and I would have succedded if my boyfriend and another close guy friend of mine hadn't grabbed me when they did, and even then, I was in a black enough mood to pull them forward to get at him even as they were hauling me in the opposite direction. Of course, ever since and before that, I am calm, cheerful, and don't fly off the handle often. When I do, people have a tendency to scatter, though I'd never imagine why :animeswea . I do have a slight touch of road-rage though, if someone does something stupid in the car in front of me or something like that, I tend to swear and on occasion give the one-finger salute to the real bakas of the road, the ones with road rage way worse than me, which is sad. People are so uncivilized when they get behind the wheel. But thats it, I promise, otherwise, I'm lovelbly nice and sweet, just don't hurt those I care about and my temper really will never surface (thank goodness). I'm a little more patient than that  .

*jumps up and down like a excited puppy* Oh god, yes I love Dragonriders of Pern! Its been my absolute favorite since I was kid. I actually RPG with DRoP, its quite fun, I love my greenrider, she's just rockin' honkin awesome. Then again I enjoy my candidate and bronze rider too, but my green rider and her dragon just outright kick butt :animesmil . Anyway, also another really good dragon series I would recommend to anyone is the Dragonlord books by Joanne Bertin. Its a really awesome take on dragons, human, and what happens when half-dragon, half-humans are born. Its interesting and they are great, just wish Bertin would publish the third book already, I've been waiting for almost five years now for it :animecry: . SS17

Anime If you could be any anime character, who would you be?
StarSword17 replied to Shadow Blade's topic in Otaku Central
I always felt that personality wise, that I would make a excellent 'female' Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing becuase (a) I'm pretty fearless (b) I'm a bomshell when it comes to witty or sarcastic comebacks (c) I'm fairly crazy (d) I'd love a chance to annoye Heero (just once is all I am asking). -
Hmm, my first mangas would be Ragnarok and MegaTokyo. Closely followed by Full Metal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, Hana-Kimi, Angel Sanctuary, and Saiyuki. Still, I'm fairly new to the world of manga, only having really getting attached to Fruits Basket and Saiyuki over the summer, and I'm always interested in any good suggestions from others and whats good and whats not.
