1. Don't try to keep track! This had me wavering the whole time on which guy I liked better. Like you said one vol. you hope she ends up with ?, then the next vol you find something to like about the adversarivy. However (at least for me) by the last disk (and several new charaters later) You come to the conclusion who should be with who, but in my case conclusion and the script were on different pages! Like Dagger said it's a love triangle, which will have you drained at the end just trying to figure out who this poor girl should be with. If you haven't ever seen it, it is worth checking into, the art and music is a little old looking (kinda reminded me of marmalade boy style wise, I don't know why though?) it has great character development, and a really great plot!
2. Dagger's right about netflix, say you're intrested in a seven disk series, you can watch the first three or four disk and determine if you like it enough to spend the money to actually buy it. I've ended up buy serveral series because I watch the first several disks from nexflix. Example: Someone recommened Fruits Basket, ok didn't really sound like my thing, but never one to refuse helpful advice rented the first disk, fell in love with it, and when and bought it. So just to stress the ever astounding advise of the much wiser (than most anyone) Dagger, NETFLIX = A MUST!
3. Mine would be Gravitation, I rented the first disk and was in love! Yuki was such an A**, yeah had to know what happened there. I also fell in love with samurai deeper, another one that I saw the first disk, and had to go buy set. My latest though is Saiyuki, I don't even know how to explain on how many levels this caught my attention. The opening theme was great, then you got into the actual show, OMG! You can't help but fall in LOVE with at least one of the char. Then the action, comedy and internal conflict all in the first disk. So yeah, Saiyuki I have to say is the strongest first impression that comes to mind. :animestun
4.
sometimes people upset me when they think that anime is bunch of cheaply made cartoons that only nerds and losers are into them! What do you think? :animecry:
I'm going to go ahead and say sorry in case this response hurts your feelings! But really why do you care what they think of you or your hobbies? Get over it, it's life people will always judge you by how you act, look, and who you hang out with. If you don't like the way the talk about you because of the simple fact that you have a " loser" hobbie, stay the HE** away from them.
5. I normally try overstock.com first, they have an ok selection. Their shipping is dirt cheap, so that helps alot too! If that fails me I head to bestbuy, or try to find a really good deal on ebay. Rightstuf (as dagger mentioned) is really good if you find a sale or are a member:p
6. Sorry for bring this old thread back, but I was too lazy to start a new one! Has anyone watch the ova? I found it was a bit disapointing compared to the series, I'm not sure why, maybe I had it built up in my mind, but it just didn't reach my expectations of what could have been done. Does anyone else feel that way? :animecry:
7. I tend to buy anime that is in the mid twenties, although I have afew that are in the lower teens. After 50 eps or so I tend to burn out and don't have the initial intrest I did when I started the series (Yes some people would call this A.D.D.) The only exception I have to this is Yu Yu Hakusho, I don't know why but I watched the whole series in afew days (I couldn't stop watching)! My FAVORITE series is Gravitation which is compared to others short, so I really don't think the length of the series is as important as the depth that it reaches with-in how ever may eps. ( Did that last sentence have any real meaning, don't know? (Darn A.D.D )
