Anime Which anime do you think has the best art work?
antilogicgirl replied to a topic in Otaku Central
What anime in your opinion has the best art work/note please be specific! personaly I think my fav would be flcl for its flashy and out of control art work.also the tones that the artist brings out with colors.kind of the same art work as dead leave .not quit but alittle.
Yeah, flcl art is great, but I'm leaning more toward Samurai Deeper Kyo. The action is really well articulated, and the facial expressions they give Kyo are waaaay too sexy. :p Then again, I'm nuts over Kyo, so that means I'm biased... -
Oh, I love threads like this...I can list all I want, but there is the little person in the back of my head that keeps jumping up and down and screaming at me, "You're not gonna get ANY of that stuff!!" Oh, well. Definately some form of MP3 player $$$ would be nice two or three anime series that I've got my eye on: --Outlaw Star --Samurai Deeper Kyo --Rurouni Kenshin Various and sundry movies: --Willow (my copy got lost in a move) --Howl's Moving Castle --the second and third LOTR movies, 'cause I still don't have 'em Clothing to suit my very eclectic taste Cookies!!! Lots of cookies! a genie to grant me all the wishes I want. so, there you have a little list. :D

Hmm. I'm a real scaredy-cat, so the list may get a little long. Maybe I should start with my most irrational fears and work my way down from there... #1 biggest fear: falling from heights. I dont' fear heights in general, just falling from them. If I feel like I'm secure, I have no problem. :( #2: big spiders. They're really scary, especially the hairy ones. :animecry: #3: lightening: this one is justified. I was a couple of feet from getting struck by it when I was little. :animesigh that was close #4: that eeire presence that I sometimes feel in the dark corners of a room. :animestun #5: snakes. need I say more? :animeknow Yah. I'm scared of a lot more than that, but I'm sure that no one wants to hear about all that. The post would be way way too long.
I would take a shotgun and go on a rampage. Might as well do those things that are deeply hidden in our minds, that we deny and fight to keep control of. I might aswell extend my circumstances to evryone else. But seriously I probaly just ask to be left alone so i can blow some stuff up.
oh...Now, if I would do something like that, my luck would be that I would find out at the end of an hour that my doctor had just played a really mean joke on me, and then a police sniper would take me out from the rooftop of a nearby building. Not my kind of day. :animesigh However, I guess I would want to be around the people I love. Of course, if I had their numbers readily available, I would take five minutes to basically make two word explitive phone calls to all of my butt-head ex-boyfriends. Then, I would sit back, relax, and have a drink with my family, hug my goddaughter, and give my boyfriend a kiss goodbye. Wow. Is that depressing or what? :animedepr
Like Chris, I was a newbie too. Way back at the original Gundam Forum ^_^x I've never been a newbie since, and I've earned a lot of respect. I treat new people like they wish to be treated, or based on how they act when I first meet them. Although, I like having the rank of "newbie" but that's because I'm crazy now. I want negative posts!
:animestun I am rather new myself. All I've really posted was one review that didn't make the cut, and some greetings and wallpapers. I subscribe to Socrates's philosophy... "I know nothing but the fact of my own ignorance." Wonderful sentiment, don't you think? If you follow that, you can just say you're a dummy, and people will either believe you because it's true, or laugh along with you. I should know...people laugh at me all of the time. My rank isn't all that high, but then again, I've only been on for a month :D I haven't really had anyone call me names or anything like that, but if they did, I'm sure I wouldn't like it. :animedepr I mean, that's just not right!! But, if there's anything I have learned since joining theotaku, it's that there are a LOT of people who know a lot more than I do. I mean, I can still count the number of anime series I've watched all the way through on one hand (I really have to like it to hold interest). In any event, I'm a newbie, and proud of it. Just like if someone calls me a NERD, GEEK, FANGIRL, WIERDO, ODDBALL, etc. I like to think that we're all wierd in our own special way.

:animecry: Question to be answered: Have you had your heart broken more than once? Unfortunately, yes. There are some horrifically mean people in my past, including a guy who tried to make me the reason to divorce his wife. Boy, did that suck. I feared for my life. However, the other time was when my boyfriend of a year broke up with me two days after Christmas, over the phone, while he was in the car with his friends on teh way to the mall  God, do I hate him. But I digress. My question: What is the longest amount of time you've ever gone without sleep, and what was the result of this insomnia? :animestun My answer: five days. Result: one of the best papers I've ever written, and one heck of a long nap. I think I was out cold for two days straight after that...it's all really a blur. :animesigh ^_^

Well, I think that the worst concert I've ever been to was an Aerosmith concert. I went with my boyfriend at the time who was totally obsessed with the band...ack! It was like watching my grandpa get up and do a little dance. The show would have been much better if the opening band (the Afghan Wigs) had just played for another 45 minutes, which was how long the Aerosmith portion lasted (that's less than two sets!!!) The best concert I've been to? It has to be a tie between the National Symphony Orchestra that I went to in the eighth grade, and a concert by a band called Cowboy Mouth (New Orleans band) that was totally great. The NSO was great in that there were world-class musicians, and lots of them, along with some really great music (even though they couldn't get the permits for the explosives needed for the 1812 Overture..hehe, those explosions are cool). But the Cowboy Mouth concert was awesome, because the band had so much energy, and it was unusual at that point to see the frontman be the drummer ( I had not yet seen the Phil Collins concert). I mean, I don't know of any other band that could get 10,000 people on the parade grounds at school to sing "This Little Light of Mine..." and like it! Anyhow, That's about it.
