1. Ok. First off, anyone who has ever asked me this simple question always ends up getting confused so let me try to explain this to the best of my abilty. I am from Arecibo, Puerto Rico. But I've never lived there. Confused? Let me explain. My dad is in the Air Force so we're always moving from place to place because of his job. Both my mom and dad are from Puerto Rico so I naturally consider myself as Puerto Rican. Why were people confused? I was born in Madrid, Spain. People immediately assume that because I was born in Spain, that means I'm Spanish. Wrong. I have no relation to anyone in Spain. (I don't like to talk about where I've been. People instantely become interested and it scares me a little...) Ok let me be specific to make this more clear. I was born in Spain. Then I moved to Georgia, then to Oklahoma, then to New Mexico, then to Alaska, then to Arizona, then to Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Saudi Arabia (sucked majorly), Germany, and now i'm currently in Miami. Naturally, when people ask me where did I move here from, I would say where I was stationed before. For example, when I moved to Miami, I would say I'm Puerto Rican. The confusion lays when I say I moved from Germany. The usual response to that would be, "You're German? I thought you said you were Puerto Rican." :animeswea It sucks. I know. I'm Puerto Rican. End of Story.
2. Honestly, I really don't have preferences. I go for personality. But I do have a pet peeve however: The guy must NOT care that I may most likely have a bigger video game collection than him, if he even does play. I absolutely LOVE my PS2 and XBOX and if a guy starts hating on me because "I'm a chick and chicks aren't supposed to like games" (believe me its happened) then forget them. :animeangr
3. Halloween... My favorite old school holiday! What am I going to be this year?? *grins* I am going to be.....*drumrolls*....actually I still have no clue! :animesmil But maybe...just maybe... I'll wear my dad's camo uniform...inspiration brought to you in part by Metal Gear Solid!!
4.
I guess I would consider myself obsessed. I spend about 75% of my free time doing something anime related, whether it be on the computer looking it up, on forums, buying it, or watching it. 20% more is used up for other stuff I like to do like playing guitar, watching tv, or playing video games. The last 5% is homework, and the funny thing is I am getting A's in basically all my classes (freshmen year in high school is easy). I have spent all my money for about the last 5 months doing anime related things, buying dvd's, manga, and models. Oh yeah and I have been to a convention and plan to go to 3 in the following year, and cosplay for my first time. PLus the fact that every day to school I wear anime shirts, and you could defintely call me obssesed.[/COLOR']
Ahh...I see it has not affected your grades!! So you have everything in order and most likely DO NOT let it ruin your G.P.A. But then again, ever since I got into anime, my grades have actually improved. So maybe obsession can be a lovely, lovely thing to have! :animesmil
5. I'm a diehard anime fan! But somewhere along the line you're gonna have to get your priorities straight. I'm currently in my school's anime club and I was extremely shocked (surprised would be a better word) to find that everyone referred to each other wth some sort of Japanese or anime name! They currently dubbed me as Yoru which is supposed to mean "night". It stuck with me ever since. Hmm...I wonder if I'm starting to be obsessed??
6. I agree with you Lunox. I like my anime, but when it starts to affect your grades, that should be a wakeup call. Now its never affected my grades, but I have seen it happen to my best friend Chelsey. She would constantly blow off her homework, forgetting it completely. She even went as far as to skip school just to go the nearest bookstore by our school and read up on her manga. Another major issue I almost forgot about is money.. Manga's are a reasonable price, but only if you buy them once in a while. Spending 40-50 dollars on mangas in one day is outrageous! :animedepr (I've seen it with my own eyes) I still can't get over it! It's irresponsible when in constant, plus it creates some BAD spending habits.
7. This topic has been going around with my friends for ages. I thought it was time that I go, post this thread, and see what others take on it would be... Many people I know are into anime and manga...but you wouldn't know just by looking or by talking to them. But then I also know people who participate in cosplay conventions, rave about the DVD that comes out later this month and are constantly talk about their favorite character (be it from anime or manga). But they also criticize each other by stating that they should be open with their likes and the other saying that they shouldn't let obsession take over their lives... I'm at a personal loss. :animestun Most of my friends actually consider each other to be either: 1) way too obsessed with their anime..a.k.a. obsessed anime geek or 2)too closed with themsleves, should be more open/expressive This in turn brings me to my eternal question: What do YOU consider as TOO obsessed??
8. I'll admit that I have indeed sided with the side of evil on more than one occasion..one big example is with Knives and Legato from Trigun. Another example would be when I wanted the Dragon of the Earth to win on X/1999...but should they REALLY be considered as villians?? The only reason I've gone with them is because many shows tend to let the protagonist win every single battle!! It's unrealistic and extremely one-sided.
9. Well, I have a pet too,but...erm...how should I put it?....my pet is a baby boa! I love him dearly :D His name is Rocky and he follows me only. that can get kinda scary at times but I know he doesn't mean me any harm. When I sit down, He'll curl around my ankles...its so cute! He's extremely people friendly (way, extremely) so much so that my friends don't even come over anymore because they don't want Rocky coming anywhere near them.. :animeswea I love him and im proud if he really does consider me his mother
10. The answer is super easy for me... For Anime: KAKASHI HATAKE!!! (mind you i'm a chick though) WHY? Easy, he's so freakin cool! He has the Sharingan For once I'd like to know by what volume he's on in Come Come Paradise His moves are the best in my opinion He's my favorite character if you can't already tell for Manga: Kyo from samurai deeper kyo!! what's better than being called "demon eyes"? the insanely long muramasa that can slice anything AND because then I would have 2 servants working woithout pay!! (isn't that awesome?)
11. About 98% of my school is classified under "Refs" meaning they have YET to get their hands on green cards!! I'm not one though...and I can testify when I say that the other 2% are weirdos..(myself included). :animedepr I come from a weird school...
12. I like anime where you can predict whats going to happen one minute and then in the next minute your there wondering whats going to happen next. So I'd like a mix to be in anime.
13. Where do I start?... :animeblus...just kidding! I adore my one and only bishie, Kakashi!!! :animeshy: hehe..but im lying when I say he's my "one and only"! Here are all my Bishie!! 1- Kakashi Hatake from Naruto- I absolutely love his super mysterious perverted ways. 2-Mugen from Samurai Champloo- He's got that bad boy appeal going for him! 3-Roy Mustang from Full Metal Alchemist- There's just something about being in charge... 4-Sessy-kun from Inu-Once again..there's just something about him... 5-Hiei from Yuyu-Hakusho- Don't let his height fool you. He packs a punch, especially for his enemies. 6-Shigure from Fruits Basket- Not so mysterious as Kakashi, but just as annoying! :animesmil 7-Aoshi from Rurouni Kenshin- OH! A ninja on a rampage for destruction! Need I say more? 8-Itachi from Naruto- YES, another one from Naruto. And Kakashi's enemy at that! Does that make me odd? Seriously...I've been thinking about this for a while...SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! :animestun There are more, but these are the major bishies for me!!
