I saw this story line posted here (the same thread) about a year ago. Awsome story really, like it a lot. What I would be intrested in is how the progress is going. My guess is also that all the spots for this project are filled up. If there would be any need for an artist tough I would be intressted in helping out. (yes I do realize that this post was made two years ago :P)

I love the fact that they reduced the amount of fan-service that used to be in the series, why? well mainly becouse I don't see how it would fit with that amount of nudity in a martial-arts series : /, It's not that I have something agains it or anything its just that... it doesn't fit. To boot the series looks atleast 100 times as good as it used to (if you compare the old volumes to the later ones). This is, obviously, a good thing ^^

I think the whole idea sounds pretty neat, it is kind of originall and I do agree that it is pretty cool that the main character kind of is the badguy... even tough he isn't bad at all... or something like that ^_^. And like Chikara Kokoro be sure not to make it go overbord (spelling?) with the magical powers, all of this "powerup-stuff" is starting to get a bit repetative if you know what i mean :animeswea However there is one thing that I don't agree with there guys about and that is the name of the story, I think the name "Cloud King" sounds pretty darn sweet, mainly becouse its not as cliché as if you would have him be an angel of death or the prince of hell or whatever becouse (even tough I like it and I am using this theme in my manga -.-) angels, demons, hell and so forth is starting to get a bit overused. But back to the whole point about the name, another thing that I liked was when you mentioned that clouds cover the sun. I think that you should put some more weight on that, maybe you should have him being called something like "the one who covers the sun" instead of just calling him , the Cloud King... or something like that ^_^ Anyway keep it up and I'm sure it'll end up great, and be sure to post updates here on the bords. I am one of those persons who REALLY have a hard time telling somebody I love you. First of I need to get in the mood (which isn't all that easy) and then I have to muster up the courage to actually say it... Anyway if somebody were to tell me that they loved me and I felt the same for them then it most likely would be a bit easier however if I didn't feel the same way (of course?) I wouldn't say it however to prevent hurting anybody (even tough I'd say thats colse to impossible in this situation) I would most likely start rambeling all sorts of stuff trying to make it as painless as possible. I hope this was what I was supposed to be writing here, I didn't read the earlier postes all too well...eeeh.. sorry 'bout that ^_^

But I mean its always like that, Its It is all too rare that an AI-ally never pisses you off, so don't feel bad about it. We have all felt the urge to shoot Ashley once in a while hehe ^_^

Heh... to be quite honest I don't like it, however I do accept it. I could have a gay friend without a problem, however I can't really say that I want to hear what happened between his or her boyfriend/girlfriend since it really isn't my thing. Other then that I can only agree with what has been said so far, why should other people care about weither or not "Steven" here (some random name I came up with) falls in love with guys rather then with girls. Becouse honestly its none of our buisness, if his parants or other family has something to say about it thats another story however its still his life and therefor his choise... I guess thats about it ^_^

Actually to be quite honest my tip would be to stop tracing, completly. Tracing doesn't help much becouse when your about to do something on your own (which you eventually will want to do) your at a loss since you havn't done it before :/ Presonaly I never trace nor do I "re-draw" or copy, or whatever you wanna call it, another persons picture. Of course I use pictures as references but I avoid looking at them since I think that it kind of messes up my head ^_^ Now lets get to the point of all of this worthles mumbo jumbo, try drawing on your own! Like Linus said, fanart is a good thing, since you allready know the characters... so keep trying and draw a lot and eventually you'll get there ^_^ (I hope you got atleast something out of all of this -.-)

I think the idea is very cool, I might be intressted. If you want you could check out my Otaku I have some fan art there. However I drew those pictures with a mouse when I didn't have a tablet... (I got one today for christmas xD), so the pictures that I will be making in the future will most likely be better then those, I will try to get a new one up there as soon as possible... Anyway if you like what you see don't hesitate to send me a PM ok ^_^

I am the complete opposite, the problem is that I think its too booring to come up with twists, backstories and such, coming up with ideas is lots of fun but writing the scrip... zZzzzZzz.

When i recommended the "How to draw manga books" I were mainly refering to the proportions part (the part that you call "rough skeches"), indeed the artstyle is very unoriginal but its for beginers and should in my oppinion be very basic. Another thing that I think is quite good about them is that you can adapt the basics to whatever style you wish to draw... atleast thats what I think :)

Whenever I draw fanart I try not to look at the referance that much, but of course in some cases I have to look at some referance so that I don't get the clothes wrong for example. (And sorry I removed the pictures from the quote, the quote just got too damn long :))

A tip would be to take a look at the guide at howtodrawmanga.com or go to the store and fetch a couple of their drawing books. Why "how to draw manga"? well, you say that you have a problem with geting the proportions of the character to look realistic, correct? Both the book and the "webguide" has a great way of showing how to help getting the proportions to look great by using circles and shuch to build up a skelleton (spelling?) and make the character easier to draw. If you ain't doing this allready then you should deffinatley take a look. I've been drawing myself for quite some time now and I've allways been using these and I couldnt possibly manage without them ^_^, so give it a shot!
