To be honest, I'm not quite sure. I remember, when I was little messing around with colored pencils and all that, but I don't remember how I actually got INTO art seriously. I know, when I was like four, my neighbors would draw manga and they were like seven years older than me. Back then I didn't know what the style was. Then came Pokémon and DBZ which got me hooked into anime and manga style without me knowing it. After that, I think I found one of those 'How To Draw Manga' books and thought 'Hey this looks familair.' and picked it up. But to be honest, I've always loved art.

She sat on the beach on her towel. She felt the breeze go past her. She watched the others in the group who were out in the water. Skye was teaching one of them how to surf, and then afterwards he fell off. She watched him as he got up and stormed off. Then he stopped when someone else started talking to him, only to start back up even angrier than before. She looked back at the group in the water wondering what had happened. Katie got up and started walking for the water. When she got there, she looked at them and simply asked. "What happened to him?" She stuck her thumb backwards indicating she meant Paul as he walked off back towards the hotel.
-
She was about to walk out of the hotel with them when she looked down and remembered. She didn't have her swim suit on. "Haha, I'll be right back, I gotta change into my swim suit." She smiled and took off for the elevator. She stepped in and hit the '7' button. After a few stops, the elevator made it's way to the seventh floor where she stepped out and into the hallway. At a quick pace, she walked to her room's door, unlocked the door and walked into it. She found her swim suit on the bed and grabbed it. She changed into it and grabbed some shorts and a shirt to wear over it until they got to the beach. She once again hurried to the elevator, hit the 'G' button, and waited. With some stops, like last time, she made it to the ground and stepped out of the elevator into the lobby and hoped that the group had atleast waited for her.
-
She walked out of her room. Even the hallways in the hotel showed it wasn't exactly a cheaper hotel. The walls were decorated with some nice decorations that brought out the environment. Katie soon found herself in the elevator, heading down to the lobby. The day had just basically started, and it felt good to be out of the hotel room. She ended up sitting down on one of the couches in the lobby and watching one of the TV's there to get some info on the day's weather and so on. After a few minutes it was decided it was going to be another one of those 'generic summer days.' You know, the kind where it's rather hot and somewhat humid out. It only made her think of what she should do. OOC: Sorry it's rather short, but couldn't see some way into it yet.

Well, I'm on the last mission, which is really hard. But, my friend beat the game the day before he had to return it to Blockbuster, ha. I've enjoyed this game a lot. When I first got it and popped it in the disc drive of my 360 for the first time I was amazed at the graphics. I honestly don't understand how people can say they're not that great. So, me and my friends started to do a few rounds of the game on Xbox Live. I found the the cover system in multiplayer has really no point to it. So I was thinking 'Oh, this is probably another cheap add on that you arn't even going to use in the game.' Guess I was wrong. As for the missions, when I first started out, did some people's missions I was kinda thinking 'This is like a repeat of the other one's.' But as you get farther, they really do get some weird variety.

I've been playing the game since the day it's come out. I havn't like wasted my life on it, but so far it's been a pretty good game. Like the things everyone else has said, they're true. The physics system is amazing. The detail, superb. I mean, you take a car, grind its side up against a wall, drive off and there's scratch marks on the side of your car. The same thing with bullet holes if your car gets shot up. The things the NPC's say in the middle of the streets are hilarious. I was in a cop car, and some guy ran into me this one time and all of a sudden I hear this voice go "Oh no! My Mom's car!"

Congrats. She looks very cute, best wishes to both of you. Like everyone else has said. x.x I'm not very original. And yep, the pictures are very nice.
KANON TV2:
I would have to rank Makoto's death in Kanon TV2 as the most emotional I have ever become over an anime. It was well written and well drawn. Had me in tears, and that ain't easy @_@

Totally agreed there. That whole series had me breaking down in tears at nearly every sad part it was written so well.

Anime My Mama Always Told Me Stupid is as Stupid Does...
Kre replied to The Spectacular Professor's topic in Otaku Central
To be honest I loved how the article starts off trying to show how anime is ruining the world. But then, he has like no proof that it is, besides that case of kids being rushed to the hospital, if that was even true. But I loved how he moved on to diss TV channels like VH1 and all that. I'm not a fan of VH1, and have infact never watched I don't think, but if you're going to name your article "Japanese Anime Destroying American Society" please stick to anime. I hope someone noticed that as well x.x -
I step away for two weeks and the thread hardly moves... sad. Chapter 397 - Madara is a lying bastard. If not, uber-WTF?! And simply touching Sasuke allowed Itachi to transfer his techniques...isn't that a bit of a stretch? I think Kishi's seriously groping in the dark right now. Apparently he isn't listening to the fans, at least fans like us, who were happy that Sasuke appeared to have been weakened by this battle. But, nooooo. He actually achieved mangekyou. Yay. *dripping with sarcasm*
Totally agreed there TC.

Recently, I've been reading The Bourne Supremacy by Robert Ludlum. Most have probably heard of it, so I don't need to do a full summary. But even so the original book is so different than the Movie. Of course, I read Identity first, which was pretty damn different as well, but still an amazing read. I'm not that far into Supremacy, but so far it's good. I've taken a liking to Ludlum's writing style, even though when reading Identity it was kind of hard to keep track of which character he was talking about. If you read either of them, you might get what I mean.

So far the whole story's been good. Some of the lines were hilarious and I was laughing for a good number of minutes. Can't wait for the next chapter, and keep up the witty lines!

Manga Question for the Otaku Anime/Manga Artist.
Kre replied to Saya Minatsuki's topic in Otaku Central
Well, I usually listen to music when I draw.Recently, I've been listening to music, and basing a drawing off of what comes in my head. But to me, it isn't a necessity, I guess it just helps get in the mood. But yeah, I'll also watch TV or mess around on the computer as well. It's whatever floats your boat. -
Of course there's the question of WHY Sasuke would go after Madara..:animestun
Isn't it obvious? Revenge. I mean, he went after Itachi in revenge, so when he learned it wasn't JUST Itachi who wiped out the clan, why wouldn't he go after them too?
-
Totally agreed with Gavin there. But seriously, "What now?" Shrug Guess we'll find out next week won't we. Although, Itachi died? I just thought he passed out, or fell down. Jeez, you people are better at seeing things then I am x_x
Could we make that Kishi's heart maybe? At least his figurative one? Just an idea... I still have faith in you, Kishimoto, though at this point, it's blind.
Totally agreed, I hope he doesn't mess the ending of this fight up. But yes, I'm still seeing somehow Sasuke will win. Sigh.
-
Yeah, poor Oro, he thinks he finally has a chance, assumes what appears to be his most powerful form, and then gets sealed away forever by a blind, chakra-less Itachi. Wonder if this means Sasuke has lost the abilities he gained from Oro too ?
Last I checked, Itachi still wasn't fully blind, I believe there's a spot in 391 that shows his vision. But yes, this chapter was interesting. And as Gavin said 'welcome back the Itachi we knew.' I just hope he still wins this fight like he should have all along.
-
Agreed. In my opinion this whole fight has pretty much been BS. Except for the beginning when Itachi "Ripped out Sasuke's eyes". But as everyone's said, this fight is really out-of character for Itachi. And I was kinda disappointed Sasuke wasn't hit at all by the two Amaterasu's.

The weather was fine today, unlike it was for the past few days. It was odd, sudden thunder storms and clouds and then peaceful tranquility. The care-free boy shrugged it off and didn't think about it. His dark black-blue hair popped back as his head tilted up to look at the cloudless sky. "Meh." He slipped his hands into his dark jeans as he proceeded farther away from the town. Then randomly, he sat, right there, right on the ground. In the middle of no where he decided to sit down. "Life sure is boring now adays." He laid down looking up at the sky. The light blue sky with the sun hanging in it. Time seemed to stop as the breeze passed by and the sun moved ever so slightly towards the east. The boy was so entranced he didn't notice the oncoming footsteps of three men. One carried a giant pack on his back while wearing a traditional bamboo hat. He looked maybe thirty, and as if he wasn't being paid enough to do whatever he was employed to do. The next held a sword at his side and was mid-twenties, thirty at the most. And the last was a giant, standing probably six feet three inches. "Kid, get up, we're takin' yer money." The boy on the ground looked over to see the one handling the pack speak to him. The man held an accent of a local thug. But, the boy did not move, instead, he turned his head back up to the sky. He saw a whirr from the corner of his eye in time to bring up a small rock platform to block the kick aimed to his head. The man reared back in pain and the other two moved in to attack him. He toppled down the swordsman by bringing both his hands forward. The Earth literally tore up in an odd direction, hammering the man bluntly in the stomach. He turned to look at the incoming giant. The giant's fist was met by the side of the boy's forearm, which proceeded to the boy's otherr forearm hammering into the man's collarbone. He dropped like a rock. And soon, the third of them came rushing at him. He grabbed the man's arm and foot swept him with the help of Earthbending. He chucked the man to the ground and he instantly fell unconcious. And the wind was back. With it, it brought a small flyer from a news paper. He caught it, while standing calmly in the middle of the three bodies. Avatar Wu Ren Killed In Avatar State Unphased by the news, the carefree boy took his eyes from the paper to look forward. "What now?"
This fight feels wrong to me. It doesn't feel like Kishimoto. Manga, especially shonen manga, is always supporting that if you have a good heart and powerful motivation, you can achieve anything. Naruto himself is the embodiment of that theme. What this fight is showing is that actually, you should be willing to go to any ends, evil or not, to achieve your goals, since apparently "going to the darkside" is sometimes the only way to get the job done. Kishimoto doesn't write like that, so what's going on? Sasuke had been slaving away for twelve years, fueled by his need for revenge, pushing further and further ahead. And yet Itachi had always towered over him, dwarfing his brother in every respect. But now, since joining Orochimaru, the devil himself, Sasuke is essentially *****-slapping him around. This whole situation feels off. Itachi isn't weak. Going blind or not, exhausted from using mangekyou or not, he's smart enough, insightful enough, to not get stabbed in the leg by a detachable shuriken. So, why would Kishimoto do this? Why?? If the only way Kishimoto knows how to kill off bad-guys is in sloppy, anti-climactic fights, I will be deeply disappointed. If Orochimaru is truly gone and Itachi really dies, then this is lame. Building up your antagonists to such a ludicrous level just to give them such weak endings is, no offense, bad writing. It undermines the entire story. All I can hope is that this doesn't end the way it seems it will. To a degree, I will have lost faith in him if it does. You can tell I am not pleased.
I have to agree. He's making it seem like Itachi is nothing. So it kinda confuses me. But hey, one can only read onward. But, I was thinking, if Itachi does win and ends up killing Sasuke, it would open up a huuuuuuge thing for the story. I mean think about it, he would have Naruto and Sakura going directly after him. Which would also help Akatsuki in a way. Anyway, just some thoughts >.>

Haha, I'm a little late I believe. But I just finished watching the series, tonight actually. I thought it was great. A year ago, or whenever, it first came out I'd get the monthly New Type, ya know. It'd have the big buzz about the Haruhi stuff. I read the article thinking"Oh yeah, this seems sorta interesting.." Never picked it up though. Then one day I was like "I got nothing to do, might as well watch it." So I started up Episode 0 (with subs, I hate dubs most of the time.) I didn't really get it and throughout the episode I was thinking "Well, this isn't helping my boredom.." But after watching Episode 1(Really 2 I guess?) I started getting hooked into the series. After reading around some places though, I HAD to laugh at my stupidity. As I'd watch the episodes I would think "Did I miss an episode or something?" With all the unexplained facts coming into your head because of the broadcast order. Then at the 'Next Episode' Previews, I didn't realise the point of the Mix up in numbers between Haruhi's and Kyon's episode count. Until I read someplace and figured it out, so yeah, I laughed at myself. Anyway, I'm pretty happy a season 2 is coming out. Hope it's as good as the first.

She couldn't believe it. What had just happened. She looked around the room. Being nude, she didn't have her weapons on her. She didn't look at the body of Lorely on the ground. Neither did the Vamtyr. Before she could act, the metallic claw of the beast had thrown her across the room into a metal desk. She heard a crack, probably either the desk breaking. Or a few ribs. Hell, it could have been both. But all she was concerned about now was her life, and Loreley's. Her hand swam across the desk, it found a book, some notes, and a pen. She grabbed the book, holding it up to intercept the incoming claw. It pierced the book, she could feel a small trickle of blood run down her chest from her collar bone. Without her the book ,she would have been dead. She threw the book aside, causing the claw to go off in that direction. Her fingers folded around the pen now. She leaped, stabbing it into the joint-gap in the metallic armor. She felt resistance and pulled, it pen had hooked behind a few wires. And they now snapped. The metallic limb hung limp. She used the limb as a ladder, climbing onto the metallic beast's back. She gripped her right hand around the neck of the monster. She used this grip to keep herself on the back of the heeling Vamtyr. She took the pen, point first, and drove it into the right red eye of the Vamtyr. It shrieked and she repeated the notion a few more times. Then finally it threw her off its back and impaled her shoulder to the ground. She was stuck now, with this thing. She was lucky she had paralyzed its other arm so it couldn't hurt her further. Although, her shoulder seared, the pain almost unbearable as blood leaked off her body in all directions. Her left hand swung, the pen flying through the air. It made contact, and the claw ripped from her shoulder with another burst of pain and blood. The pen had found its mark in the other red eye of the beast. They now both stood in silence, The Vamtyr afraid without its sight, and Ellie breathing heavily. She dove, then ran to the bench which held the group's clothes. She reached into the pocket of her red coat, pulling the handgun and fired four rounds into the armor on the head of the beast. The bullets sheared through the armor and the thing died. She dropped the gun on the floor and ran over to Loreley. "Loreley!"
