1. Okay.. I've got one. It's really stupid, but what the heck. Why did Jim fall off the bike? Because he was a fish. ^.^
 2. Hee, I joined cuz I thought it was cool. I just hung around the boards until I realized I should join. Also, most of the people here are educated, so it's easy to talk to them. I don't mind talking to stupid people, but when they make no sense it bothers me > > I plan on staying here too.
 3. Hmm.. that's a tough one. I guess I fall into the nerd/jock label. Heh... Strange, but true. I don't like 'showing off' though, I'm a bit to shy for that XP And I'm not a TOTAL genius, just a little bit above average. So if there's a name for that, that's what I am.
 4.
I was calling the whole 'life gets better, comforting whatsit' comment rubbish. I've heard the line a thousand times and its never happened.
Ah, okay. Forgive me then, I'm sorry ^^
 5.
By the way: I've been a Christian before. I was for 9 years. It's all rubbish.
Oh for goodness sake. You can disprove everything you like, but you don't have to call Christianity rubbish. No one has insulted your views, so you don't really have a right to insult ours.
 6. Okies.. My mistake. Maybe 'instinct' was the wrong word to use? >.< I'm pretty sure we all agree what's good and bad, right? Somebody who kills can't possibly think it's a good thing.. unless they where seriously screwed up in the head. It's different then thinking binge drinking is evil, cuz one person can be a proud alcoholic, and another could have an aversion to alchohol... If that makes any sense -__-U
 7.
Not one to let historical fallacy slip through... If you think about it, that makes no sense. For the longest time we didn't know the difference between good and evil. It wasn't until Hammurabi's Set of Laws that murdering was considering wrong, and even then it was just a massive fine. Good and Evil is a very human concept. Oh, and about the Jesus comment: Do you know how many credible historic sources have made mention of a man named Jesus Christ? Not one. No, the Bible is not a historical source. The only times when he's mentioned is in documents so brutally doctored by the Catholic Church/Holy Roman Empire its damn-near laughable (Sometimes names were just crossed out and 'Jesus H. Christ' was written above it).
Just because 'historical' documents never mention Him, it does not prove Jesus never existed. What Eva10 said does make some sense, in my opinion. Plus Good/Evil isn't a strictly human concept. It's a natural instinct, actually. Animals can tell the difference between a murderer and a bakery owner, ya know. Human beings just rationalize and anylyze everything.. they don't really know how to trust pure instinct.
 8. My dog thinks I'm her mother, and so does my little tabby named Cupcake ^o^ They're just so adorable!
 9. The way a guy dresses doesn't really matter to me. Buuuuut.... denim jackets have always been a fave of mine. Any sort of cool jacket, for that matter ^.^
 10.
^^ Not bothered at all. What you're asking me is similar to a question that I could ask you. What if there is no God? What if there is no heaven, and you just stop existing other than a rotting corpse in a coffin somewhere? You have accepted heaven and you have demonstrated in the above quote that you can't fathom it any other way. I am in the same place as you. I have accepted a cold, dark death; I feel that my life has/is/will be good enough to where heaven would be excessive. I see it as a form of greed. I suppose that if there is a God, and there is a heaven; sure, I'd like to be invited to the party. :) Happy thoughts.
Oh.. Okay. Then I can understand and respect that ^__^ But.. I don't agree with what you said about it being greed. Many people have experienced something that proves to them the existence of heaven, myself included. There's no doubt in my mind that if I lead a good life, I'll end up there one day. So it's not greed, not for me at least. 'What if there is no God?' you say? Well, if there was no God, I still haven't lost anything in believing in Him. In fact, if anything, I've gained things from it. Not to say that being Christian makes me better then anyone else, just that I can do things daily that improve the life I live. If the end of my life comes, and I'm just a rotting mass of carcass six feet under, then at least I was happy with my life. Guess it all depends on the way you think. But that's hypothetical, of course. I truly believe He exists X3 Thanks for the input ^.^
 11.
I figure that when I die, my time's up. Maybe it's like sleep, and we'd just have a nice, long dream that we'll never wake up from? Or you know, we could just... die, becoming no more, no thoughts, nothing. Not a pleasant thought, but, that's why it's death, right? Heaven sounds nice, but I don't like believing something that's not a known fact, I've already accepted plain ol' death as something I have to deal with. Typical atheist belief, when it comes to death, there isn't a fact.
But.. don't you think that it's impossible for a human to just stop existing? Our life would be of no significance! I mean, if you where in an eternal sleep without any dreams or thoughts or feelings, you would have no possible way of remembering this life. And if something doesn't exist in your memory, it's like it doesn't exist at all. It just doesn't make sense to me. I'm not trying to change the way you think or your beliefs. I'm just curious, that's all. I'm sorry if I bothered you at all.
If I may? What happens after death? Nothing. Simply nothing. Besides, who cares? Do you read books backwards? Have the fun in life is not knowing whats coming next!
But that isn't the same as believing in an afterlife, really. Just because I think I'm gonna go on to heaven when I die, it doesn't mean that I know what'll happen to me in this life. Anything could happen and I wouldn't be able to see it coming, just like any other person in the world.
Another sort-of-theory I have is that, after death, your imagination keeps on living. Freed from bodily constraint, it's at liberty to create whatever reality you, sub-consiously, watk/think-you-deserve.
I suppose that would be nice ^__^
 12.
I am atheist, when I die, I plan on going in a wooden box six feet underground somewhere in Hatboro, PA. I seriously doubt "I'm going to hell because I don't believe in hell."
Hmm, okay.. Can I ask you something? What do you believe will actually HAPPEN to you when you die? Do you believe your being will dissapear into nothingness, never to be seen again? I'm not atheist, so I'm clueless as you how an atheist would perceive death.
 13.
I pretty much agree with that, I'm agnostic. But my oldest sister is Baptist (or Christian? Well she's one of those), and my other sister believes in god and Jesus (but she doesn't go to church) too. My mom believes too and so does my dad, but none of them go to church (except my oldest sister, everyone else usually works on weekends). Infact, I think my whole family believes except me. That's so wacky.
Being Baptist and Christian are the same thing. It's a form of Christianity.
 14. I'm Catholic. Aren't I lucky? ^o^
