You're right CWB, my apologies to yourself and anyone else who wasn't rude. I was just shocked that no-one believed me. I guess some of the members here have pretty mundane lives and can't believe that anything of interest really happens to anyone else.

Ken Shamrock has been competeing in the Pride championships in Japan (same thing as UFC but in a ring). He's getting old though. Ruan wasn't really his sister (I guess you knew that), it was just a WWF marketing thing. No, Carlos Newton wasn't laughed at beacause he is a really fan-friendly guy and people appreciate him for his skill, rather than being just strong and aggressive. If anyone laughed it would be with him, not at him. He also won the middle weight world title right before doing the move, so it would be classless to make fun of a guy who's so damn tough. I guess this has moved to far towards the UFC and away from DBZ, so I'll expect the padlock any time now ;)

Thank you Justin. Sephiroth, you are right that you are likely to get injured but watching the other fights and chatting with the other fighters will be fun. I don't know any of you and none of you know me, so I didn't post this this brag or anything, just to point out that some UFC fighters who are portrayed as thugs actually have a sense of humour and fun. But you are right, it is very childish. Next I'll be talking about who the best super Saiyan is or asking about specific episodes of a children's cartoon.

If you are so nonchalont about DB, why have a forum dedicated to it? I was simply making a post and all I get is a load of rudeness. I haven't criticized or slandered anyone. The bad etiquette and lack of manners here is saddening. Dragon Ball is appealing because of the dramatic fight scenes, at least to me. When any of you get in to the real world and achiveve a professional fight contract worth thousands of pounds, then feel free to criticise.

He doesn't do a REAL kamekameha - he just does the motion. The Ultimate Fighting Championships have invited me to compete in their London show in July. What does this have to do with DBZ? Well, as I mentioned before, Carlos Newton (former middleweight champ) fought under the style Dragon Ball Jiu-Jitsu and did a KameKameHa wave after he won and when I fight I will dye my hair blonde and spike it up like a Super Saiyan, as I have done in the past. It freaked alot of people out :) You should be able to see it on Pay Per View

Is it just one saga or does it last as long as DBZ?

What units do you use? Also, which lift? Not sure about the age thing, as it means old people will be more powerful - my grandmother would be more powerful than everyone on the board! Shouldn't fighting ability make a difference? In the cartoon, those with higher power levels can always beat those with lower powers but stronger doesn't necessarily mean better fighter

Well, it has got better. I was over the moon when i saw Videl get smashed. She and her old man are so ignorant (i think they were written to wind people up) that you can't help hoping the get exposed as weaklings compared to the Saiyans.

The Garlic Jr was a bit crappy too. I didn't watch all of it but was led to believe that Gohan stopped him ages ago (before DBZ and therefor before he was 5 years old) yet they had difficulty after even krillen had powered up to near-frieza levels. Thanks for the responses guys

iI was watching DBZ the other day over here in the UK and it was very lame, I have to say. I hadn't watched for a while and was hoping to see lots more powering up and fighting but I saw Gohan getting pushed around by a girl while he wore some turdy outfit. No rage or yellow glow or anything. 'Saiya-man' or something equally pathetic is what he was calling himself. It was dire. Does it get any better? How long do I have to wait?

i was thinking of the goku/rock incident too. also, before the cell games, gohan is chopping wood and some drops on his head and he whinges like a baby

Gohan is a bit of a wimp (ssj wise) as a teenager - he needs nimbus to fly 500 miles to school! as an 11 year old he was much faster and stronger. why am i not surprised that you saddos are single? :butthead:

Sorry to all you DB die hard fans that love the show (like me) but I have another criticism - I think the sagas can be somewhat repetitive. For example, Gohan and Krillin are getting bashed by aliens, with the big guy doing all the work (in this case Nappa) in the Saiyan saga and Goku has to rush to save them. He gets there just in time to save Gohan and then shocks everyone by toying with the seemingly unstoppable bad guy. Fast forward to the Namek saga. Gohan and Krillin are getting bashed by aliens, with the big guy doing all the work (in this case Racoom) and Goku has to rush to save them...etc. Also, with both Freeza and Cell, they are super tough bad guys that no-one has the power to touch. With Freeza, Goku turns SSJ and wins after a tough fight. With Cell, Gohan turns SSJ 2... Also, the Saibamen and the mini-Cells were a very similar idea - it seems the writers come up with a few good ideas and then plaigerise themselves (or the old writers)

Same thing crossed my mind. They probably were brought back but as they said in the show, there was no planet to live on so they were brought back to life in empty space. DB is cool but it is VERY inconsistent...:nervous:

It's a bit ambiguous but i think he was killed by freeza very briefly and then brought back to life when the Namek Dragon revived everyone.
