I had no knowledge of anime whatsoever when I first saw DBZ, and that was when it was coming on Fox Box or something of that nature.... I don't even think Cartoon Network was around at the time. I remember when I use to watch DBZ on Sunday mornings either right before or after some karate show (think it was called WMAC Masters or something like that... I know Shannon Lee was the host of it.) And even when Cartoon Network came around, I still didn't know what anime was. (Still don't come to think of it. In my eyes they're just another cartoon with more action, or story, or whatever you want to call it.) Anyway, I didn't really get into anime until Ruroni Kenshin was aired on Toonami.

Hm, for the past few months, I'd say I've been playing old games. Not as far back as the SNES and Genesis days, but games that are old nevertheless (When a game has been out for 4 years, it's old to me now.) mainly because I'm playing catch up. (I blame it on my sense of not being open-minded about games.) I think the last newer game I played was either Prince of Persia: Two Thrones or Naruto: Ultimate Ninja. I could go on and dwell about how I'm still catching up, it'd be quite boring to type, let alone read, so "shrugs". Although, I think about playing Zelda: OoT and Majora's Mask again (as well as Goldeneye and Perfect Dark) I can't because I am missing the cord (chord?) where hook it up to the tv as well as the center piece where the expansion pack goes. (And I'm not certain if these stores are selling these missing links.) I would also like to go back and play Shenmue. (I can play this game all day, everyday) But my Dreamcast (actually my brothers' dreamcast) don't work anymore, and Shenmue (disc 1) is all scratched up. It's too bad too because it helps ease my mind. (don't ask.) I would also like to go back and those old Sonic games, but like the N64, missing parts. (Although I could buy that collection, I don't feel like it. My mind is set on some type of hack n slasher) The only old game I can play is Final Fantasy 7. I think I might play it one day, but at the moment, I'm not in the mood for RPG's. (I beat 8 about a month or 2 ago, and traded it in, so, yeah.)

Heh, if we're all stating that I was using the bible as part of my reasoning for not hanging around homosexuals (but I'm going to take it as a general comment :)) are quite mistaken. And it's clear that we skipped my first post.
I am also against homosexuality, but I don't judge anyone for being gay. I haven't been around people who are gay, (mainly because I haven't been hanging out much.) but the way I see it, if you want to be gay then that's yo business.
I am christian, but I know my limits, and I am nowhere at a point to where I can toss out scripture to prove anything. (If that's how my other post came off then my bad.) If anything, I was merely pinpointing the passage(s) for Sesshoumarufan since he/she wanted to see it. If we're not talking to me then just skip this whole post. :animeswea I'll get rid of it eventually. :)

@ Retribution - And lord knows that I get tempted to throw a brick at some of these kids forheads these days. >_>

Not at all. I joke around with superstition here and there by telling people to walk back around the pole when (if) they split the pole with me. Or I would walk back around it. (Either or since it's just for kicks.) I'm an owner of a black cat, so "shrugs". If anything, she's just a pain. Majority of my bad days just comes from little sleep, or people just pissing me off, but I think that's pretty normal.
I would like to see the exact passage in the Bible that says "You can't have homosexual sex". I've heard the line that marriage is between a man and a woman and its a sacred bond. The analogy some of the homophobes that I've heard so often was "God created this world for Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve". But when it comes down to it, it's just a matter of prefrence, no different than eating mayo instead of mustard on your sandwich.
Leviticus 18:22. (Laws of Sexual Morality) You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. And if you flip ahead to 1st Corinthians 6:18 (Principles of Married Life), it says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. I'm not going to act like I know all, but that really speaks for itself.
I'm black, therefore: I love watermelon more than any other fruit. True story.
Same here. Although I'm more of an orange person, especially if they're sweet. (Prefer all my fruit to be sweet and seedless.) I normally just stick with oranges, apples, grapes and watermelon. I let everyone else eat the other stuff. I know I need to eat more bananas. I've been catching too many cramps, but like some of the other people here, I can't stand the taste. Can't say that I don't like strawberries seeing that I've never had any, and never been in the mood to try any new fruit. But if I were to eat some strawberries, err... nevermind :). I'll just try some one day. I use to eat pineapples, peaches and plums, but I guess I just grew out of the taste because I don't care for them as much as I use to back in my younger days.

I was watching the repeat for day 2 of E3 earlier this morning, and one of their discussions sounded like an interesting topic to bring to the OB. I forgot majority of the conversation, lol, but do you prefer playing single player or multiplayer type games? With me being the boring type that I am, I prefer playing single player games. Every once in a while I may get in the mood to play either a fighting game with other people (Dead or Alive) or a FPS (Halo), but that's as far as I'll go with multiplayer games. I stay away from playing games online with people. No telling how some of you can turn out when you lose, lol, or win for that matter. Although I haven't done it in a while, I do cheat. (Mainly against your gloaters though.)
I don't really know that most of what they showed really made any major deal about them being online any more than being offline. I mean, in terms of the games that got the motion attention, I saw videos of games like Call of Duty 4 and Assassin's Creed and the only things they really concentrated on were the single player experiences. Even the Halo 3 closing video was largely single player.
Rephrasing. Hmm... How should I say this... It seemed like all the talk was mainly focused on the Xbox Live stuff more than anything else that's been mentioned, and so, it didn't spark anything with me. Oh yeah, before I forget, I did change the channel before the 2nd half of the conference started. :) 2nd day of E3 wasn't as underwelming as the 1st day, but I still wasn't all that impressed with what was shown. There were some games that stood out though. Bioshock looks nice. Another game that stood out, I can't remember the name, but it was another FPS where you can slow time. A FPS version of Prince of Persia. I think I heard some guy on there say you can stop a bomb from going off on you, and use that same bomb on an enemy or something of that sort. Very cheap, lol. Although I'm not much of a fan for world war games, Call of Duty 4 was impressing as well. That trailor of MGS4 was crazy. I didn't mind Raiden in MGS2, but seeing him in action in this one makes me not want to play as Snake. But that's just me :).

I've never really been all that open minded when it came to music. (Meh, who am I kidding. I'm not all that open minded to alot of things.) I mean I've heard a few Evanescense songs that my sister listen to. I've heard a few songs by Nickelback, (I think that's who it is.) the folks that did the that Hero song for the Spider-Man soundtrack, but that's about it in terms of rock. (if that's the genre they're classified as.) Before I became even more closed minded to music, I was into hip hop and rap. But my interest started to die down in 2005. I still listen to them every once in a while, but it's mainly the songs that's dealing with everyday life, and some old school stuff. My thing now is Gospel and R&B. While I'm not into R&B as much as I use to, you would find mind listening to that before majority of the other genres outside of gospel. As far as my family goes. Yea, they listen to it as well. My mom listens to mainly gospel, while my dad is pretty much an oldies fan. (Jazz, Soul, and whatnot) My brother listens to gospel and some rock. My sister is the one that listens to almost all kinds of music.

So I've seen the E3 day one repeat earlier this morning on G4, and much like last year, I'm not all that impressed. Seeing the demos or whatever they're called to Heavenly Sword and Assassin's Creed was probably the best thing I saw. I'll admit, Mario Galaxy and Rachet and Clank looks prettiful, but I'm just not into those type of games anymore. I hope they have a better showcasing of games tonight.
I'd say, despite this, for most people it was probably the most disappointing/dull conference, which I can understand. 2008 games like Fable 2 are being shown to some groups, at least, so it's not like there's nothing. I've read some neat previews on that.
Now I didn't see Sony and Nintendo's conference, but I agree. I found Microsoft's conference boring. I've never been a fan of playing my games online, and Microsoft Arcade didn't spark any interest whatsoever.

*Sighs* Detroit Michigan. I'm hoping to move to either Arizona or California by next spring or summer. It's not wise to try to do any type of stalking here whatsoever. (Although I'm not worthy of being stalked, just giving you a heads up.) Sometimes though, you probably can get away with stalking, but in most cases, you'll probably get shot in the process. (Good luck to you :)) I also wouldn't advise coming here for vacations or job searching. Detroit is a fairly boring place, atleast it is for me anyway. The only thing(s) that're here are casinos. I've grown out of the malls that're here. There aren't anything in these malls closest to me. (10-15 minute drive out of the city, which is Southfield Michigan) The best mall that I know of is in Auburn Hills. I think they have alot more things to do there. If you go to the downtown area you may find more things to do there. What exactly, I don't know. Jobs are practically non-existant here. Well, there are some here, but it's like there aren't any. Some jobs claim that they are highering, but no one is getting hired. Everybody is getting laid off. (Honestly, the entire state of Michigan is in a bind when it comes to getting a job.) The people..... What can I say about the people? Hard to say. If you look at the news here in Detroit, you'd think some (most) of the people are rather pathetic. With the reasons they've been giving on these crimes and whatnot. About 3 months ago, a 22 year old was beating on a 75 year old to get the keys to his car. Killing part is, is that there were people standing around doing nothing at all. (you might've heard about it.) I don't really have anything nice to say about the so-called "Motor City". (Even the big 3 are doing bad here.) I've been here my entire life, and still haven't seen anything worthy of being called a "hangout" spot. That is unless you exclude the places that're known for random fights, shootings, and whatnot. I guess if I had to say something nice about this city is that the Detroit Tigers are doing pretty good. :) Our churches are pretty good too.

Just a heads up, Akinoyuki, you may want to give more details about the game. There are alot of people here (myself included) who've never heard of the game, (or too lazy to look up the game itself.. again, myself included) but would like to hear more information about the game. What makes the game so fun? What's it about? Give us some details.

I don't know if I'll be able to give you five since my memory is shot at the moment. We'll see.
1. Pulp Fiction- This movie is just simply the best movie ever. The changing storylines, and how they all intertwine at one point or the other is just plain cool. Plus it's like the last good movie besides the first Star Wars prequel that Samuel L Jackson was in. It gave me some of the best lines to use on people in random situations...like "Can you hand me my wallet?" "Which one?" "The one that says 'Bad Mother$#$@ on it." and "Oh I just shot [insert random xbox live gamertag here] in the face" (great for fps!)
Agreed, however, I didn't think that it was all that great back when I first saw this it. (very young, between the ages 7-10), and didn't care for it, but when I turned 16I was reintroduced to the movie from a friend showing me the best scene ever that is at the beginning as well as hearing the best quote of all time: ENGLISH (fill in the blank) DO YOU SPEAK IT! The Crow - Another one of those movies that I saw at a young age, and didn't care for it, and yet again, I'm eating my words about not liking it. Hard to explain why I think this is a great movie. Compared to some of Brandon Lee's other movies, the action wasn't as good as it should've been. It's just one of those movies I really like. (That, and it's the son of Bruce Lee) It's too bad I didn't care for the other movies after this one. The series was decent. And then there's Back to the Future and the Rocky movies. Can't really think of much to say about them at the moment.

I don't have an anti-drug. I've never dranked nor smoked, but I've been around alot of people that do smoke. Now I normally try to stay away from people who smoke, atleast until they're done smoking because I get headaches from the scent. Hanging around smokers (mainly people that smoke weed) can be a funny experience too especially when they start tweaking. Seeing peoples reaction up close when they think they're sinking into the ground can kill you if you laugh at almost any and everything. Outside of my family, I've never been around people that drinks, or atleast people that goes overboard with it.

I was actually going to start an E3 thread since I started the last one ^_^, but I couldn't think of anything to discuss about it. All the games that I've been excited about was mentioned last year (Halo 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Devil May Cry 4, etc..), and since then there haven't been any new games to catch my eye. Lost Odyssey is probably the only game that I'm a bit curious about. (My first time hearing about it was yesterday watching the Microsoft press conference thing.)

I tend to stay away from these type of games. They're not my type, and I don't think I'll ever gain (regain) any interest in them in the future. However, seeing how we're mentioning Parappa the Rapper, (I've only played the demo, and tossed it within the same day.) I guess I can include one that I've played through to the end, and actually liked it for a while. Bust a Groove. At times I liked it mainly because of 2 characters. Heat and Strike (I like hip hop and break dancers), and at times I couldn't stand it because it can get extremely tedious when the computer keep on hitting you with cheap shots while you're getting the best of them.

Hard to say especially when one such as myself don't listen to much to begin with. (Or rather, I only listen to one specific genre these days, gospel) Lack of interest in music or no one is putting anything good out there to grab my attention. "shrugs" My only source of music is the radio, unfortunately, and I only listen to it when I'm in a vehicle. I don't look at videos unless it's the mid 90's stuff. (Or I come across them while channel surfing.) Anyway, from what I've heard off the radio. T-Pain is probably the worst I've heard thus far. I don't pay attention to much of what he is saying, but I can figure out what it's about just from the title of any of his songs. I think one of the songs I heard is called I'm in love wit a stripper. Can't remember the other artist(s).

A whole month, and nothing. But it's understandable. There hasn't been much to talk about with the last few chapters. Although I did find most of them good. In any case, this last chapter is my favorite chapter since they stepped foot in Hueco Mundo.
To have both Grimmjow and Ulquiorra duking it out
even if it was for a brief moment has fanboy/girl-ism written all over it. (I have to admit it. Even I had a fanboy moment seeing them two fight. I didn't express it, but it was there.) Note: The art is prettiful, but then again, I think I really start liking the artwork in the arc when they went to Soul Society. Edit: Wow, guess Bleach went up and died lol. Well, I've seen alot of people say it would be pretty dumb, disappointed, or something along those lines if
Grimmjow went all the way to Ichigo's location just to have Inoue revive him and then fight him again.
And that's pretty much what we got, but I'm not really all that disappointed. If anything, I don't really care for
Grimmjow's transformation. It's probably just me, but I don't find the whole cat look all that impressing.
The fighting has been pretty nice thus far.
I noticed Ichigo is able to keep his mask on alot longer than usual.
So I'm going to assume he's perfected it now?
1.
Sasuke became cool, which is very disheartening due to the amount of hatred I had built up for him before Shippuden... I suppose Orichimaru was good for something.

Agreed. I couldn't stand Sasuke when he was younger. He wasn't really all that annoying, but he was just one of those characters I couldn't stand. (fans made me that way lol.) Anywhoo, he has become more likable. Uhh... It might be me, but did Sasuke suddenly become stupid or something?
You would think that he'd knew that it was a clone. (I mean Naruto is becoming a little too predictable, in terms of fighting.) Can't the Sharingan depict if they're clones or not?
(I forgot, but I know the Byakugan can) I'm not counting him out or anything, but still, one would think he knows.

I might not be able to list/remember the all the old shows I've watched back in the day. I have a hard time remembering most of these new shows that's been cancelled and whatnot. So to go reminiscing about the old.. This will be a hard task. Let's see. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - I can't forget about this. I still have alot the toys, action figures in my box in the attic. (Thinking about getting rid of.) Anyways, while my brother was hooked on Voltron, Transformers, GI Joe, and Heman, and my sister was on My Little Pony and Carebears, Turtles was my show. I dressed up as Raphael on one of those Halloweens back in the day. And then it's the disney line-up that I wouldn't mind them putting back on someday. Ducktales, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers Darkwing Duck.. I can't remember that other program, but it had something to do with some bears.. I want to say Gummi Bears, but it just don't seem right for some reason. And then we also have Alvin and the Chipmunks little program. X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman, and for some reason Mr. Bogus... I remember the name, but don't remember anything about the show itself. And then we move out of the cartoon area for some sitcoms... Starting with Save by the Bell, which I cannot watch anymore due to Screech. The Cosby Show, Different World, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and [strike]Power Rangers (Why in the world is this still on tv?)[/strike] Tv was my life back in the days. Still is in a sense, but "shrugs". I know there's alot more that I can't remember.

A year plus some months since Yu Yu Hakusho's been off-air. How I wish I had the funimation channel. In any case, I never had any major problems with the dub. Just a few nitpicks at Keiko everytime she screamed or something. I still say this is the best compared to the newer stuff.
1) Gets consistently better as it goes along; 2) Doesn't have any filler; and 3) Has a real ending.
Agreed. And another thing I liked about it is when the series progressed and got better so did the animation/artwork.

Action, action, and more action. Whether it's gunfights, sword fights, or martial arts, I gotta have my action. (Which gotta be good btw) Can't help it. I grew up watching martial arts movies, and I'm not all that willing to expand my verizon. Atleast not at the moment. While I don't like animes that focus specifically on comedy or romance, if it's any in the series I'm watching then I don't mind it. But majority of the times that "comic relief" ranges from crap to mediocre. You might get a "heh" at best from me. Only anime that I really laughed at was Trigun. (And sometimes Yu Yu Hakusho) Romance... it's just not me. I get bored when it comes to these scenes where they want to slow the fighting down just for some emotional outburst of feelings being dished out. (I'm a robot :)) Drama... drama is in everything so I have nothing to say about that.
-
I forgot where I've seen it, but I also saw Bison being called Vega and Vega being called Bison. A translation thing I think. Anyway. The Boss (MGS3) - Probably the best villain in the gaming industry till this day. I hated it when she kept stripping my gun(s). But then again, I never got the hang of CQC so that was my fault. What else is there to say about her... Ocelot (MGS3) - I like the younger version instead of the older version. He was more flashy. Now only if he could still do most of that stuff as is he now.... Lan Di (Shenmue) - What can I say about this guy other than him being the baddest of the bad... I want to experience fighting against him, so I wish they would hurry up and do Shenmue 3. Personality wise, he's just like your average silent villain, but I like characters like that so "shrugs". That's it for now.
