It's been quite a while since I've actually requested a set. In any case, I was wondering if someone could take some time out their schedule to fulfill this request. Theme: Erm.. Not sure. Japanese, ninja like theme. (also, could you make it a little.. flashy? Background: Not sure at all. Again, something flashy or something that'll match Hatake Kakashi. Size: Default size. Text: The Phenom Font: Umm.. Cloisterblack, if that's still available? Text color.. white or silver will do. Picture: Kakashi Avatar: Err... The Phenom. Thanks in advance. Edit: Oh yeah, if you can't use that picture, feel free to use a different one.

I see. In any case, I've finally caught up on the series, and I have to say that Hidan and Kakuzu are a funny duo together, especially Hidan. I think it's a little obvious that Hidan is into voodoo. (atleast I think he is) Tobi and Deidara is another funny pair, but I was hoping that Deidara would've been kicked the bucket. A little annoying for my taste. I'm curious about what Asuma said though.
When him and Shikimaru was playing uhh Shougi? That Shikimaru resembles the knight and said that he himself resembles a pawn. The king is....?
Judging from most of the movies that are similar when they say something like that. Take Last Dragon for example. "Who is the master?" It normally came back to being the main character or something like that. In this case, I want to say the king is either
Naruto himself, Shikimaru, the village, or the future.... something like that.
I've never been good with speculating this type of stuff. Just going by a hunch, and thought I'd try to bring in spark a conversation with it. Your thoughts? Naruto's rashness hasn't died down I see, but then again that's just him. I guess I'm going to have to get use to it. It's kind of tiring when you've seen it in so many times in other animes and such. It's kind of a reason why I gave up on this the 1st time. But coming back to it is a relief so to speak. What else....? That's it for now. Kind of overloaded at the moment playing catch up with this.

Heh, seems like my only questions are about the sharingan, and whatnot. In any case, I was just reading the chapter where Naruto fought Sasuke. (The rescue) During the little memory or background for Sasuke and Itachi. Itachi said something like
"Only 3 people have acquired the mane.... sharingan, including himself....(I might have it mixed up a little bit)".
Who are the other 2 that knew it? Or have they never revealed anything about it yet?

From back then to now, do you have any regrets about what you've done or did not do? I don't really have any big regrets, but I do have a couple.. I guess. The 1st one is not going to the same high school as my best friend. I mean, I did great in elementary and middle school because they were a little challenging and whatnot. (with him being the smartest and whatnot) But when high school rolled around, I chose to go to a different school because it was a little closer to my home, and mostly everybody that lived in my neighborhood went there too. Now when I chose to go there, my grades went down, mainly because the work the school work wasn't challenging, and I just got bored with it. I graduated on time, but my grades weren't that great. I didn't care pretty much because I didn't have much interest in school by the time I got in the 11th grade. I didn't take my SAT's / ACT's. Now I know I could've transferred to that same school as my best friend, but I didn't feel like going through the hassel, and I was already lazy at that time. But I know for certain if I had gone to the other school, I would've kept my grades up since the school was pretty challenging. (so I heard) Another one would be my quietness back in school. (I guess you could say I was shy as well.) Mainly because I didn't really participate in class. And with me not participating, and whatnot I never really bothered to visit my counselor (sp?) about anything, so I missed out on job opportunities, career advice, job opportunities... You get the gist of what I mean. I missed out on things because of my quietness. So yeah, that's about it. Edit: Can't help but think this topic has been done already. I should've searched first. Sorry.

Let's see. It's been a while since I've seen any new animes, mainly because I still don't have my satellite back >_>. And I haven't bought anything. In any case. Ghost in the Shell: SAC - I also like the movie, but I enjoy the series a lot more. I wanna get my hands on the 2nd movie as well as take a look the SAC movie, that is whenever it hits the states. From all the animes I've seen, I don't really consider any of them as good as this. Music, characters, voice work, animation, story.... all of it is superb. Cowboy Bebop - Uhh.. what can I say about this that hasn't been said before? Nothing really. But I guess I'll repeat what Fasteriskhead already said. This anime really has a nice ending. Whole cast is likeable IMO. Music is nice as well as the animation. Knockin on Heavens Door was also a great movie. IGPX - Honestly, I consider this to be the best mecha anime out there, but then again, that's just me. To me this anime is a pure adrenaline rush. Top notch action, a decent storyline, nice character development. (although our main character pisses me off in his little depression stage.) It's too bad that this anime wasn't given the credit it deserves "shrugs" Hellsing - Alucard. XD For real though, if you took Alucard out of this anime, this anime wouldn't even be worth looking at. Sure you have Walter and what's her name.... Integra, but Alucard brings life to the program IMO. Yu Yu Hakusho - There are 3 characters in this anime that really get on my nerves, and even so, the anime is still nice. When I 1st seen this anime, I would've told you that this was a DBZ ripoff. But of course this was near the beginning of the series. In the beginning of the series, it had crummy animation, but what I liked was how the story progressed / got better, so did the animation. Some other favorites Trigun Samurai Champloo Rurouni Kenshin Samurai 7 Big O

When I say New York, what do you think of?
Magus replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Can't really say that I think of much. I can only go by what I heard from my mom. Mainly being "it's a rougher place than Detroit." She told me she've been to New York. I think the Bronx, and seen some crazy things.... (sorry, I can't be specific.) I do have a couple of questions though. I'm looking for community colleges at the moment. (Can't afford universities at the moment) Are their any community colleges with dorms or room and board? Any Co-op programs to help pay tuition or something? There was something else, but I can't think of it at the moment. -
Anime Animes That need To be Remade , Revised, or Redone
Magus replied to Kenshin DX's topic in Otaku Central
^ Well according to Anime News Network. Inu Yasha has 167 episodes. Compared to Naruto which has 211+ (still going as far as I know). While DBZ has like 300 episodes. (I maybe exaggerating a bit seeing as I didn't check on it.) Now I'm not a fan of Inu Yasha and all, but to say that Inuyasha is long can be blamed on AS for all the re-runs and breaks. Sorry to go off-topic. -
Anime Animes That need To be Remade , Revised, or Redone
Magus replied to Kenshin DX's topic in Otaku Central
I have a few. Street Fighter 2 V - Not so much as redo the whole series (the way it started was nicely done), just the last half because after they arrived in Spain, it was just crap from then on out. I'm not certain if it was budget problems or not, but the animation needs to be redone as well. As the series continued, you could see that they were using clips from previous fights to do the newer fights. (I really hated that. Gungrave did it as well.) And they really need to get rid of the implications of Ryu and Ken being gay. (No offense to anyone. I just can't stand seeing that type of implication on those 2 characters.) G Gundam - Hm. What can I say about this one. This was an oldie right? (Like early 90's?) If not, the animation could use some work. But I'd really say redo the entire script. Some of the things that was being said was just way too obvious, and they overused "That's right". -
Well one game I know i'd love to see as a movie is Metal Gear Solid, specifically 3. It would probably make a great anime too, but this is a rare occaision in which i'd rather see something made into a movie in stead.
Been a while since I've last posted something, but in any case, I agree with this. Not specifically just 3, but all of them. More of 1 and 2 though ^_^. In a lot of ways I can see Konami and Production I.G. teamming up for this. "coughs" Ghost in the Shell. What else...? That's about it. Devil May Cry is already getting an anime. I guess the only other one I'd want to see as an anime would be Ninja Gaiden. No take that back. Shenmue. But I don't know how that one could be approached. I just know it'd be more movie-like.
The last game I bought is Okami. The next game I will trade in is Okami. Overrated.
Ouch. That bad? In any case. Last game I got was Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. (Just got it monday..) A little too hard to beat in 3 days this time around lol. Let's see if I can give a miniview. Story - I can't really say much. I'm horrible in describing things, so it's better if someone else explained it or you play it yourself. I'm not too far in the game, just recently got my 3rd character. Gameplay - Your typical hack n' slash type game. (I like it) There's no long range weapon for your main character. Atleast not at the moment anyway. Added a team oni magic thing... prettiful. Graphics - They're great! Not much to say about them really. A.I. - Enemy A. I. is ok, but your partner's A.I. DUMB AS HELL!!!! Well, I take that back. They do attack, aggressively, to the point where they forget to block. >_> I like that they give you the option to give commands to your partner, but it shouldn't take away defense. (You have to command them to wait and recover in order for them to block.) There's another command where you can use your partner as bait, where they just dodge, but they don't attack, and they still get hit. Only gripe so far is the partner's A.I. and the voice acting. Voice acting ranges from moderate to crap, but then again, I don't think voice acting has ever been Onimusha's strong point. Other than those, everything else is cool.

Anywhere cool / cold. While I'm not the type to travel, and whatnot, I need to get out of Michigan ASAP. (or atleast Detroit) While I say cool / cold. I'm not the summer type either, and here in Detroit, we can get some blazing temperatures. (if it's not the temperature, it's the muggy-ness / humidity) While it's nothing compared to that of California, Texas, Florida, etc. I just can't stand the heat. There's your occasional beach areas, casino's, (the only interesting thing here) malls, theaters. All that to me is boring. I need something new. My dad always tell me I need to go out and do something, and quitely frankly, there's nothing here. I've lost interest. Only thing I do is go job hunting. Speaking of which, jobs have decreased here. (Laid off as we speak) And it's simply too hard to find one here. So yeah, I need a whole new experience altogether, and cool / cold climate.

Can't really say I do much. I'm the loner type so most of the times I like to be alone. (too bad I can never get that time to be alone because a friend, relative, or some random person is always bothering me.) Most of the times though, I go to sleep. (told you, nothing major.) Especially when I'm bored. And I'm bored here in Detroit quite often so.. But on bad days (can't remember the time I ever had a good day) I normally just go to my garage and just lift weights and whatnot. Fixing cars is just a hobby of mine, but working off all the frustration... yeah, can get me away from a lot of things.

I'm asking is it on there because this guy with pictures are saying that it's on the ps3, but didn't give any backup except for pics, and I'm kind of skeptical about it. (being on the ps3) Not saying it'll be a bad thing if it is. It's just that I can't see the big switch from Microsoft to Sony, especially when the 1st one did so well on the Xbox. But then again, the head guy at Team Ninja did say something about he only go for the console with the most power or something like that. "shrugs" (saw it on an old interview on G4) http://www.theimageplace.net/uploads/154cea00ef.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/image...2_screen004.jpg http://image.com.com/gamespot/image...2_screen003.jpg Heh, just found out 2 of those links are at gamespot... (I gotta go pay a visit.) But if this is true, Team Ninja just made my day and Ps3 will be the 1st console that I will be getting. Oh yeah, it's suppose to be called Ninja Gaiden: Sigma (apparently) Edit: Turns out that it is on the ps3. Just saw a trailer for it. Guess I'll be getting me a ps3 afterall. ^_^ Edit2: Bah, turns out I'm wrong yet again. Just read an article on IGN that it's not a sequel, just the xbox version that is being revamped on the ps3. I'm pretty sure this is late news to everyone, but it's news to me, (I missed out on TGS) and I might as well go along with it now. Rachel is now a playable character. Get to see her side of the story and whatnot. New weapons for Ryu Hayabusa (dual wielding katana's... yeah, I'm going after the ps3 now.) I'm already stoked because I've always wanted NG to be a playstation title. And while playing it on the Xbox, it was my favorite game. Still is, I just say was because my brother sold his Xbox >_

Anime What do you guys think of sport anime?
Magus replied to only1specialed's topic in Otaku Central
I say I don't like sports type animes, but truth be told, I've never seen one. Mainly because I've always been into action, and when I read a little synopsis about one of the sports animes, (mainly Prince of Tennis) I just brush it off to the side because it doesn't interest me. And with that in mind, I normally label (I don't tell people because other people like the genre) other sports anime as boring or just have nothing that interests me. Would I ever give sports anime a chance in the future, I don't know. Probably not unless convinced, but at the moment no. (narrow / closed minded.. yeah I know, I need to work on it too.) -
Nothing special on my end. Just very random. LaTortura - Shakira Break it Off - Sean Paul feat. Rihanna Rhythm of the Night - El Debarge When Doves Cry - Prince Naggin - Ying Yang Twins Break out - Sean Paul Be Prepared - Lion King (beat that ^_^) My Boo - Usher feat. Alicia Keys Bring Me Back to Life - Evanescence 5 Steps - Dru Hill Shut Up - Black Eyed Peas Touch it (remix) - Busta Rhymes feat... too many people London Bridge (oh snap) - Fergie We Be Burning - Sean Paul Let's Go - Trick Daddy feat. Lil Jon and Twista And there you have it. Most of this is from my sisters file, but we pretty much listen to the same thing so.. yeah. Not much on variety as you can see, but it's still random. I listen to old school (Prince and El Debarge) every once in a while, and sometimes it's for my goofy moments. And then there's the hip hop and r&b. I listen to it, but not too often because I'm bored of it, but I still get in the mood just to hear them at times. Lion King... ahh lol. Goofy moment, that's all. Last but not least is reggaeton (sp?). You can always find me listening to some type of it. Mainly because it's hard to understand, therefore I'll never get bored with the lyrics.

Heh, with everyone bustin up on american cartoons, I never would've thought people use to watch these shows. Anyways, there are quite a few that really stick out in my mind. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - While my brother was into He-man and Thundercats back in the day, this was my cup of tea. I actually still remember some of the lyrics... @_@ X-Men - Now that I've seen the re-runs on Toon Disney, I can't help but say shut up.. All the talking they did during the battles got really irritating, but nevertheless, I still watched this back in the day. Spider-Man - Again, now that I've seen it on Toon Disney, can't help but think Parker is really stupid. (smart, but stupid) Anyways, I think I actually watched this more than X-men. Batman: TAS - Good stuff here. I remember just cracking up laughing whenever I saw batman punch the hell out of some crook because it looked funny, but the impact was just... 'ouch'. Too bad the fights looks sluggish now lol. Biker Mice From Mars - I hear they were suppose to be doing a remake. In any case, i didn't keep up with it regularly, I just remember the white mouse, (or rat... too damn big to be mice) he was pretty funny. And then there's Double Dragon, Street Sharks, Extreme Dinosaurs, (oh, the corny-ism) Darkwing Duck, Mighty Ducks, Duck Tales, Captain Planet, (I really hated this show, but there was something there that always brought me back to it...) Mighty Max, Chip n Dale, Flintstones, Looney Tunes, Animanics, (Good idea, Bad idea anyone?) Scooby Doo, Denver the last Dinosaur.... And I think I'll stop right there cuz I'm going to go hide in a corner after saying that one.
On a different note,
Gouda's death
was so satisfying. I almost laughed when I saw it, because I immediately found myself thinking of how much fun it must have been to write and animate.
Rolling eyeballs... mm.
Anyway, I'm confident that SSS will be excellent, and I hope that [strike]the token bishounen[/strike] Proto at least gets a cameo in it. :p ~Dagger~
Finally... a revival. Lol. I think everyone found
Gouda's death
to be amusing. Just never would've thought Adult Swim would show it in full glory.
(With his eye popping out like that and whatnot.)
Not surprised by it, but at the same time it was kind of unexpected. Err.. I need someone to kind of break it down for me though. I've seen both seasons of the series, and I'm still not understanding what a stand alone complex is. I want to say it's like 1 person trying to change the society or something along those lines, and that's just a "1st thing that comes to mind answer". (I'm kind of slow in picking these things up so my apologies :animeswea )

Heh, funny stuff. I've already stated that I've never cared about Inuyasha, but when I see everyone saying that it was too long (I actually agree.) and whatnot. Just a few moments ago, I went to ANN (Anime News Network) and looked at how many episodes there are, and it said 167. Now compared to other animes in the same category (I think it's shounen... correct me if I'm wrong) such as Naruto, and DBZ, it's no where near the same length. (They're actually longer) So in all honesty... Adult Swim should be blamed for making it seem longer than it should've been. With all the re-runs and whatnot. That's all I can say for the moment. I lost my train of thought.

I just knew someone was going to mention Fullmetal Alchemist lol. Just thought I'd talk about these suggestions thus far. This is probably my fault since I never did say this. But if you're going to suggest comedy, please be sure that it has action in it. Because I've stated that I don't like comedy in my animes, but if there is going to be comedy, there's gotta be action. (Much like Bleach) With that being said. Duoikairi - I just read a review about D Gray-man, and from what I've read it sounds pretty interesting. I may end up checking it out. (That is if a certain site has it.) AnimeheroX - Going to start off with Evangelion. Yes I've seen the ending of it, and to be honest with you, I didn't like it. (Not just the last episode, but the series itself.) If you want reasons on why I didn't like it, check out the anime thread. But in the meantime. Grendier. It sounds interesting, and I will check it out, but for me, lets not get too happy over the fan service. I have enough of that in Tenjho Tenge :animeswea (Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that because it seems as if all your choices seems to go in the fan service route. This was my fault for not mentioning it though, so everything is cool  ) DearS and Maburaho. Err.. How can I put this? I'm not specifically clear on whether Maburaho is romance or not, but it sure does seem like it. (after reading a review at anime on dvd) Maybe I wasn't clear, but romance are no no's, for me atleast. I'm willing to try new genres, but romance isn't one of those new genres I'm willing to try. (no offense btw.. none of this is meant to come off sounding rude.) Or am I wrong and they just have romance in it? If that's the case, maybe. (a strong maybe :animesmil )
-
I normally don't do this for manga's because I thought I would be okay with just reading Bleach. (Yeah, silly me.) I'm currently looking for manga's to checkout. With that being said, as usual, I'm into the action type, but I'm leaning forward to trying a few new genres. Romance, like anime, is still no exception. It's not my type. Sports isn't for me either. Horror, I'm a little iffy on because they don't get to me. (I have no imagination... lol.) I haven't read many mangas. Bleach - Currently read up to 246, but I'm going to take a break from it. Tenjho Tenge - Last chapter I read was chapter 90, but I think I'm going to start reading it again. Naruto - I haven't read Naruto in a long time. I think the last chapter I read was when
Naruto inc. met up with Sasuke. (time leap)
Something in that chapter just made me stop reading it. Death Note - I think I only read like the 1st 2 chapters, and that was like last year or something like that. I have to wonder is that really something for me? Rurouni Kenshin - Everytime I get around to reading this, I get tired of reading it as well. That's all, and thanks in advance.
-
Bah, sorry for the negativity that I'm about to, once again, bring to the topic. But then again, I don't really have negative thoughts about Bleach. Just minor nitpicks. Perhaps it's just that time for me to put Bleach to the side for a little bit. (Skip out on a couple of chapters, you know?) I just can't get that "wow" feeling anymore, especially after reading chapter 246.
The return of Renji and Rukia.
I'm thinking they're return was a little too soon. Those arrancars (sp?) are there for comic relief.... Ok, haha. Yeah, they played their parts, but really, it seems like they're repeating the story now.
Minus the kidnapping of Hanatorou.
Is it just me or did
Rukia
get taller? Or has she always been that tall?

Man, the last time I did anything for halloween, I was still in high school. All I did was attend a halloween party though. I don't eat candy anymore so I don't go trick or treating. (My choice of course, no one will ever deny me of getting candy if I wanted it.) I didn't dress up though, just wore all black. And of course, people assumed that I was a vampire, so I just played along. Now that I don't have a job at the moment, or not busy with anything, I'll probably attend another party, that is if someone is throwing one. If not, I'll just stay home or go job searching... "shrugs" But if they are I'll dress up as the crow. ^_^

X-Men Legends 2 for the ps2. I actually got it Monday, and it was beaten about 4 hours ago today. (Well, that sort of thing happens when you have nothing else to do or no job / laid off.) While there is some replay value to it, it's not giving me the satisfaction that I'm looking for. (Mainly Onimusha 4. I've been in the mood to play that for quite some time, but I was told that I would be getting it as a gift... So... "shrugs") And it was only $10. So it was worth it, so to speak. No complaints really.

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Magus replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Seeing that we all know (or some / most of us) by now that Basilisk will be coming on October 6 on IFC, I was wondering what does that mean for Samurai 7? I know they come on 2 different days, but I was wondering are they going to do re-runs (even though it comes on twice) or switch that with Gunslinger Girls? I'm kind of hoping for re-runs since I missed the last 2 - 3 episodes (no satellite, cable at the moment) -
^ I know where you're coming from. As much as I want to see Urahara's bankai, I'd like to see more of
Isshin
in action. In any case. It's good to see that Chad and Ishida are fighting once again, but at the moment, I'm actually quite bored with those 2 for some reason. They're not really doing much that's really impressing IMO. (But I know, save the best for last.) I don't know why, but I liked them much better during the SS arc more so than now. (I know it's just me.) Maybe it's because I've grown fond of seeing shinigami's fight it out, or seeing
Ichigo fight with his mask
... "shrugs". Chapter 243 wasn't too bad though, I just found it a little boring even though it's an action chapter.
