I can't really say anything inspired me because I started drawing around the age of 4 or 5. Didn't know anything about inspiration or anime back then. I picked up a pencil and started drawing out of boredom. (Big muscular men with round heads and no neck) But the 1st cartoon character(s) I've ever drawn was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ^_^. (If that counts for something) Sadly, I haven't picked up a pencil in years. And besides..... I never knew how to shade.... (YES I SUCK)

[spoiler]Shirosaki?[/spoiler] Are people just coming up with random names for this guy? I've heard people say [spoiler]Hichigo and Hollow Ichi[/spoiler] Is that his name or is it just another made up name? [quote name='lunox][spoiler']I hope Ichigo gets beaten down a bit by Shirosaki, just because I don't want him becoming all-powerful or anything. I also hope that it's not a 'If Ichigo wins we never see hollow!Ichigo again' situation...although I doubt that, seeing as it's such a big thing. [/quote][/spoiler] [spoiler]Judging by how ch 220 ended, I'm going to say that the beatdowns for Ichigo is over. It's more like the tides are turning.... you know, like in all the other shows how a hero gets pummelled in the beginning and near the last little bit they get this sudden burst of power or something of that such.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Seeing Kuze as a member of Section 9 would be a very interesting thing to see. Kuze is that white haired samurai (so to speak) right?[/spoiler] [quote name='Delta][spoiler']can't figure out who died in 2nd Gig. one of them can be sitting beside Togusa in the trailer, though.)[/spoiler][/quote] Aww... now you have me searching for spoilers..... Those rookies that were being tested in that episode where we learned about the majors past could be the newest members or are they Azuma and Yano? I never did know their names. And from those posters.... it looks like their giving Motoko the look she had when she was in the debate at that round table thing about the laughing man. (that purple and yellow get up.) [quote name='Delta']When will Togusa get rid of that mullet? [/quote] LOL. It would be pretty hard to picture him without the mullet now. For me anyways.

Where to begin...? 1st, this is scheduled to premiere on adult swim April 14. (That friday fix thing.... "shrugs") [Quote=ANN]Eureka 7 Premiere Banner Pulled (2006-03-27 13:48:56) Adult Swim has removed from its site a banner announcing Eureka 7's April 14 online premiere. Thanks to Herb Kirchhoff for the update.[/Quote] With that being said..... I don't know anything about this anime, and judging from this summary at ANN: [quote name='ANN']Plot Summary: Renton Thurston is a 14-year-old boy who lived with his mechanic grandfather in a backwater town. Every day he dreamed of being with the mercenary "Light Finding Operation (LFO)" aircraft pilot group "Gekkostate" and riding "Trapar" particle waves-- a sport called "reffing"-- with their charismatic leader Holland, especially when faced with his father's acclaimed past or his grandfather's desire to protect him. When a young girl named Eureka riding the original LFO, the "Nirvash typeZERO", asks his grandfather for a tune-up, she inadvertently brings the attention of the military to the garage; as a result, the garage is destroyed and Renton is forced to deliver a new type of interface-- the "Amita Drive"-- to the Nirvash. After a heated fight in which the Nirvash destroys the military LFOs by unleashing an immense amount of power, Renton is invited into Gekkostate. However, he quickly realizes that behind the facade of a traveling group of mercenaries is a very bitter reality.[/quote] I'm still in the dark. This doesn't sound good to me, mainly because I don't really care many mecha type animes. But what caught my attention is that someone recently compared this to Fullmetal Alchemist... so to speak. My question(s) are: If I were to check into this, what am I expecting to see out of this? Sounds and looks like some type of Gundam anime. Edit: Sorry, didn't know there was a thread already seeing that it wasn't in that anime directory thread.

Anime Where is the best place to buy anime?
Magus replied to animeloyalist91's topic in Otaku Central
Agreed. I may have to check in on these conventions as well. Problem is I don't think they're any in Detroit. O_o In any case, I too do all of my anime shopping online. Except I go to [URL=http://www.mediacavern.com/]MediaCavern[/URL]. They're prices are pretty decent too. -
Last time I tried this, it wouldn't work.... hopefully I can get different results now. [url=http://img299.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gow6ra.jpg][img]http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/5962/gow6ra.th.jpg[/img][/url] That's the only picture I saw at IGN. Looks pretty good. but I'm not all that interested at the moment. [color=#4B0082]Fixed the image tags for you. For reference, they're used like this: [im[i][/i]g]imageURL[/im[i][/i]g] - [i]Desbreko[/i][/color]

I'm pretty stoked right now. After watching the finishing fight between Yusuke and Yomi... That had to have been one of the greatest fights ever in Yu Yu history. In any case, I'm still collecting the VHS version... I know, I should be buying the dvd's right now but I'm as cheap as they come so *shrugs* I was wondering if there are any online stores that sells vhs's? (Sorry if this is agaisnt the rules)

Courtesy of IGN [QUOTE=IGN]March 22, 2006 - This year's eagerly-awaited platform keynote address on PlayStation (and, most specifically, PS3) from Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios President Phil Harrison at GDC 2006 started off with the platform that is still holding it down: the PS2. SCE game director David Jaffe (of God of War 1, now more a cheerleader for the whole franchise while he works on other projects) was on hand to show off a brand new trailer for God of War II (announced formally today before the show's start.) Aside from a new Bionic Commando-style swing maneuver, the trailer consisted mostly of Kratos gutting and disemboweling a boar, fighting off a 3-headed dog (where he viciously ripped off a head), tearing enemies in half after stomping on its gut, deathgripping a giant ogre to climb up it and then tearing its eyes out with both hands, and finally battling enemies on top the back of a gigantic griffon before grabbing the creature's wing, chopping it off at the root, and then leaping out into the sky while flying miles up in the clouds. Fun stuff. It is unknown when that trailer will be released to the public, but God of War II has been confirmed to be playable at E3 2006 this May.[/QUOTE] I'm pretty sure most of you already know this but it doesn't hurt to share with the ones who don't. In any case, it's good that it's a ps2 release but IMO this would've been better off being released as a ps3 title. Any thoughts???

It's no biggy. Thanks again. And no bows... if anything, I should be the one bowing.

Nice. Although I never knew Legato wore glasses, but it looks good though. I'll just wait patiently for the avatar and aoshi set. Thank you.

I was browsing through some anime site and I came across this anime. I also remembered when I was asking some people about some ninja / samurai type animes and this was one of the animes mentioned. So I decided to do a little bit of research and I came across 2 familiar names mentioned in this anime. Saitoh and Okita. (couldn't find any pictures....) My question(s) are: Are these the same Saitoh and Okita that're are suppose to be in Rurouni Kenshin? If so, is this suppose to be following what happened before Rurouni Kenshin took place? Like showing the aspects of the Shinsengumi's storyline of what happened after the revolution. (or before the revolution... either or) If these questions have already been answered, sorry. I didn't read everything in this thread and I get lazy when it's late.

I know alot of you are about tired of me. (I wouldn't blame you either. I'd be tired of me as well.) Please bare with me through this for just a bit longer. So I've decided that these 2 requests will be my last request for a while. 2 sets. (some finale lol) 1st set (Rurouni Kenshin - Aoshi) Theme: uhh... japanese type theme... so to speak Background: royal blue-ish type background Text: Unstable Warrior Picture: [URL=http://www.romantation.com/aoshigallery/aoshi26.jpg]Aoshi[/URL] (if you have a better picture, by all means use it if you want.) In the avie just my name. (preferrably cloisterblack as font) 2nd set (Trigun - Legato) Theme: don't know.... have fun with it Background: Navy blue or midnight blue type Text: I've lost my sanity Picture: [URL=http://www.animanga2000.net/trigun/immagini/wallpaper/trigun_wp14.jpg]Legato[/URL] Again, in the avie I'd just like to have my name (cloisterblack as font if you can)

There's quite a few that grabbed me from the start. Ghost in the Shell: SAC - I think I was 1st hooked when I even saw the previews of it. When I saw the 1st episode, I was like "DAMN!" Mainly because of the visuals. Cowboy Bebop - Like Slade said. It was more of a channel surfing thing when I first laid eyes on this. 1st episode I saw was the last episode and when I saw the all the shooting and the little fight seqence with Spike and Vicious, I was pretty much hooked. Hellsing - Alucard pretty much made my day. From the moment he pulled out his gun in the 1st episode... Boom!!! Visuals / animation is great too... (I hate his black / grey suit though) And last but not least IGPX. But of course this was because of the visuals and the action.

Anime Samurai Champloo [from the creator of Cowboy Bebop]
Magus replied to Dagger's topic in Otaku Central
[quote name='Dagger']Well, just like Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo is an episodic series. It's supposed to be structured like that, and to call the comedy episodes filler is very much a misuse of the term. Imagine saying that Kino's Journey or Case Closed has too much filler. Champloo actually spends more episodes wrapping up its one main plot element than Bebop, if I remember correctly. So you can't really praise one of them and then say that the other has too much "filler." [/quote] Never seen Kino's Journey or Cased Closed ^^ but I hear what you're saying. So I'll take that filler comment back. It's been so long since I've seen Bebop, so.... maybe I am a little mistaken at the moment. But I could've sworn Champloo had more off-stories.... I have to go back and watch Cowboy Bebop. [quote name='Dagger']Now, if you just didn't like the comedy episodes because of the style of humor or whatever, that's another thing altogether. But they aren't filler--and certainly not any more so than the drama episodes.[/quote] Nah, I do like them, matter fact I take this style of comedy over any other type of comedy. It just seemed like there were too many episodes focused on comedy moreso than the main plotline. [quote name='Dagger']Interestingly, one of the DVD inserts indicates that Champloo was originally supposed to be a shorter (half-length, I think) series. Because of that, Watanabe had originally planned for it to be mostly crazy and comedic. So in a way, one could say that the light-hearted episodes are the heart/anchor of the show, and not the other way around. [/quote] I see. That clears alot up. -
Anime Samurai Champloo [from the creator of Cowboy Bebop]
Magus replied to Dagger's topic in Otaku Central
1. How did you like it overall? [i][b]Uhh.... what can I say...? As much as I do like samurai animes, I was a little disappointed with this one. I guess it's mainly because of those off stories. Those little filler type that're just there for comedy. There were entirely too many of them. But nevertheless, I still liked it overall.[/i][/b] 2. What do you wish had been added in? For example, more fights, a love scene, a pie eating contest, etc... [i][b]More fighting. I feel a little jipped mainly because of those episodes that really had nothing to do with the story.[/i][/b] 3. Do you think this ending was better than Cowboy Bebop's? [b][i]Nope. CB's ending made a big impact on me that almost resulted to tears.... (curls in a corner) Till this day, I still haven't seen an ending that made that type of impact.[/i][/b] 4. If anything, what did you not like about the ending? [i][b]Nothing. It's just no CB that's all. Ending was still nice though.[/b][/i] 5. Who do you think would have won if the swords hadn't broke: Mugen or Jin or nobody? [i][b]Err.... still would probably be a stalemate. Except with both of them killing each other. (That's how I was expecting it to end)[/i][/b] Who was a better hero: Mugen or Spike? Or rather, who do you like better? [i][b]I don't really consider any of them (Mugen, Jin, Fuu) heroes. IMO they didn't do anything heroic. So with that being said. Spike [/i][/b] 7. Why do you think none of our heroes died? Was this a good thing or a bad thing? [i][b]*shrugs* I never really give much thought stuff like this. Perhaps their willpower?[/i][/b] 8. To you, what was the main theme of the series or point the series made? [i][b]Like you and everyone else said. Friendship. If I'm not mistaken it was even said at the end when Jin was talking to Mugen. *shrugs*[/b][/i] -
Request 2 sets (Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin #2) if no one minds
Magus replied to Magus's topic in Creative Works
I didn't even know someone posted in this thread. I just thought it withered up and died. In any case, I do like the set. Only problem is the color in my name, which is only a minor set back, but unfortunately I can't think of another color the goes with that too well. (I want to say black, but some of it won't be seen on the shirt. And then I want to say white, but I just can't picture in it.) -
I'm downloading chapter 84 at the moment. I wouldn't mind seeing the anime of this because I'm a big fan of the fighting / martial arts genre of animes. Does anybody know how many chapters this has? At this one site, there are 90 chapters, but from how this story is shaping up it doesn't seem like they could fit all of this into 6 more chapters. Unless it has one of those endings where everyone go there seperate ways and forget about everything.

Meh. Charles pretty much said everything plus more. Really, I don't know if I can contribute to saying anything without repeating what he said. I will be getting this for sure though. Everything that's featured in this game and it's only 29.99. Question(s). I know the so-called problems are being fixed for MGS3, but are they fixing anything for the 1st MGS or are they gonna leave those the same? (I really wish they add shooting in FPV in the 1st MGS. Feels funny without it. I started off playing MGS2 1st, so maybe y'all can see where I'm coming from.) And then theatre mode. I'm assuming this is going to be a mode that lets you look at the cinema's? If so, will it just be for MGS3 or for all?

[QUOTE=Dagger][url=http://www.animeondvd.com/][u]Bleach = licensed by Viz[/u][/url] I can't say I didn't see this coming, but I'm surprised by the sheer stealth of it all. The C21 Media article has been public knowledge for a while--it's just that you have to pay or something to read it in full, which is probably why there was never a big commotion about it. It just puzzles me that related rumors never went roaring around the web... none that I saw, at any rate. ~Dagger~[/QUOTE] Agreed. It's not really shocking that Viz liscensed Bleach. Although I am a little disappointed though as I was hoping Funimation would get it instead. But I guess it can't be helped. I hope they don't do any type of rush job in it. (Because I do feel Naruto was a rush job. Released too quickly) [quote name='Delta']So, do you guys think that they'll still be able to connect the series to the manga? Would you rather have them end this season and continue with BLEACH anime only when the Vaizard Arc's over?[/quote] I haven't seen the anime yet, but I hope they connect the anime back with it's manga counterpart.

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Magus replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Rah-xephon is still being aired on G4. 12:00m - 1:00a.m. Friday nights btw. -
Starwind - Both the avy and banner are on the blurry side. Thanks anyway. Jigglyness - *Picks mouth up from the floor* I like it. Again, thanks anyway for putting up with me.

I'm on a little kenshin kick right now, so I may end up asking for more a little later on down the line. Theme: *shrugs* Have fun with it. Background: Again, have fun with it. (Preferrably a semi-darkish type background though) Text: Perish Size: default size I guess Font: Cloister Black (I think that's it) [URL=Kenshin pic]http://trabia-garden.net/battousai/gallery/displayimage.php?album=9&pos=3[/URL] Just the Kenshin pic btw. Unless you can find a solo picture ^^ A match avy with my name. Thanks in advance.

I do like contacts, and back when I was in high school I use to have some. Although I didn't / never needed them (or glasses). I just wore them for show. I had those cat-eyed type contacts. I was curious about how I'd look in them. I stopped wearing them because of a little paranoia (sp?) of them getting stuck in my eyes one day.... go figure. As far as piercings goes. I've always thought about getting my ears pierced, but I passed on it. I've always thought they were for woman anyway.... *shrugs* (I'm one of those dull types that won't try nothing new.. such as piercings and tatoo's..)
