I can see it now. Here comes this thread wrecker. lol
Hey, who loves InuYasha?
Hmm... how can I put this without making others upset? I am not too fond of Inuyasha. But I do think it's a fun show to look it. I will admit that the music is catchy. Probably one of the best things I enjoyed about this show. Ok... My favorite character is Sesshoumaru. What else can I say? He's the bad *** of the series. Least favorite.... Shippo. Gosh I cannot stand that fox. Out of all the foxes I've seen, he gives fox a bad name. I won't go any further with it because if you get offended easily and you're a Shippo fan.... yea. Favorite episode... Don't really have one. Mainly because it was mediocre at best. If I had to choose though. I'd say the 3-4 part spread with the panther tribe. Some of the episodes with the band of seven were decent as well. Other than that.... "shrugs" So yea, I still watch it, but it's not one of my favorites.

1st anime I saw was Voltron. Didn't know what anime meant back then. I was around 6-7 years old. So I just thought of it as another cartoon. From the age 14 I started watching DBZ. Got hooked on that for a bit, but still didn't really pay much attention to it though. (or the term anime. Again, just thought of it as another cartoon) 16. I think DBZ was finally finishing up. And then I joined my 1st forum. (Gamesquad) And alot of people were talking about Rurouni Kenshin. So I decided to check it out. I caught the episode where Kenshin was fighting Jin ei (sp?) and from there I was hooked. Although I still have to say, I haven't seen many animes though. (Compared to how many that're out, I'd say I've only seen about maybe 15-17 animes)

I was thinking they should make a movie about Spike while he was in the syndicate. I like Cowboy Bebop, in fact I think it's probably the best anime out there. The reason why I would like to see a movie about the syndicate is because I would like to know a few more of the characters in Spike's storyline. (Shin, Lin and Gren) Maybe that's just me though. Edit: If I'm not allowed to bring back old threads, let me know.

I just got done reading chapters 280-283. Errrr..... Is it just me or does it look like this Sai character has a connection to Sasuke? (Just a change of personality) Of course I'm going by looks, but still..... Can't help but wonder. And if that is the case, they're getting a little predictable IMO. Even though y'all are explaining who Tobi is. I have not seen this person in the manga. So I'm assuming he's one of those characters in a filler?

Just so you know Cartoon Network has nothing to do with casting characters. As far as I can tell, Naruto isn't that bad. I will admit, I am disappointed with some voice overs. And that's only 2 characters. (I guess people becomes disgusted when they watch the sub and then want to compare it to the dub.) I've never seen the sub. I guess that's why it doesn't effect me much. As far as Naruto being played by a woman. You really think there are male voice actors who can get a high pitch voice? As far as the VA for Seto Kaiba acting as Gaara. "shrugs" I don't knock it until I hear it. And as far as the edits and such.... come on now. You knew edits were gonna happen. Cartoon Network has a habit of editting out things. They edit so much until you get used to it. (Which is why I'm not bothered by this either.) Really, when you think about it, is it really worth complaining about it?

1.) Mother Nature - Mainly tornado's because I tend to wonder where would I live if my house would ever be hit by a tornado. Can't stand the thought of being homeless. 2.) Diseases / Rabies - Mice and rats... (haven't encountered a rat... don't plan to either) I hear they have rabies and such. When my cat catches one... and it touches my clothes, I don't touch them or I would throw them away. >_> (paranoia to the fullest) 3.) End of humanity - I normally don't think about it until I hear about all the hurricanes... That tends to make me think about that one movie that I haven't seen yet. (Day After Tomorrow) But yea, some nights I tend to go into a random thought about what would the world be like if humanity was taken out. (Armageddon I suppose) 4.) Death / Injuries of animals - This is my number 1 fear. (I hate seeing it) Because when I see it I get pissed off at it. In most of the so called "scary movies" when they have animal killing in it. I throw the remote at the tv and walk out. When people tell me they seen a dog / cat or whatever get hit by a car.... I'm ready to punch whoever in the face. I can't even stand seeing stray dogs and cats on the streets especially during the winter. Think I'll stop right there. (The more I talk about it, the more it pisses me off.)

I'm not too fond of going by looks these days. Since some people that look like models tends to be real shady. (men and women alike) Perfect woman for me..... "shrugs" even though I don't go by looks, I'd like for her to be in some kind of physical shape. It lets me know that they can take good care of themselves. Her personality "shrugs" I don't know. The opposite of me that's for sure. (I'm laid back.... so to speak. If I had to compare myself to a few characters... I'd say my personality is a bit like Squall, Yusuke and Spike.... How would you describe that one? Sarcastic, quiet and laid back?) And of course she's gotta be smart. Not a genius but you know.... Something's gotta be up there.

The only anime games I've played were the Budokai series and Gungrave: Overdose. While I don't really care much for the Budokai series I still find myself coming back to play them. Gungrave on the other hand is something I enjoyed. Even though it's just run and gun, and about 2 - 4 hours long. I find it to be a great stress reliever. Those are the only anime games I've played, and Gungrave is probably the best... "shrugs" (biased since I've only played those 2 games)

They also had a show. Stairway to Heaven. It's not as big as the 1st crow movie, but it had my attention. I watched it everytime I had the chance.

I don't know any company names so please bare with me ^_^. Ghost in the Shell: SAC - Then again, I probably like everything about this anime. But the artwork was very good. Haven't seen an episode where the art was rushed. (Although I've only seen the 1st season) Cowboy Bebop / Samurai Champloo - I liked the fast paced animation in these 2 shows. The artwork was nice as well. Hellsing - Although I wasn't too fond of Alucards suit. The red trench and hat was nice although they could've put him in a better suit. Probably could've shrunk his nose a bit too. Other than those little peeves, the artwork was nice as well. RahXephon - I just started watching this show about a week ago. But I am impressed with the artwork as well. One show that has made an improvement IMO is Yu Yu Hakusho. I didn't really care for the artwork or animation when it 1st started out.
episode 7 on fullmetal alchemist, I almost fell outta my seat :animecry:
Is that the one with the chimera? If so, I agree. Although I don't cry during most things I get angered very quickly when I see things like that (animals getting killed, hurt. Hell, I can't even stand seeing stray dogs and cats). I remember the 1st time I saw that episode. Let's just say I was pissed off the rest of the night. I decided to stop watching that show after that episode. Err... I found Samurai X: Reflections kind of sad. To see Kenshin suffering from something like that....
Spikes death in Cowboy Bebop
was kind of sad as well mainly because of that music in the background. That was some depressing music. I think that's it.

Anime this is the "discuss anime without bashing" thread
Magus replied to animekid17's topic in Otaku Central
My thing with this is that it's just opinions. If you take offense to what someone says about a show you like then..... "shrugs" It's on you. I can understand where some of you are coming from with people bashing shows you like and all. (Saying this show sucks or that show is crap.) During the time I've been here... (about 3 - 4 days) From the threads I've observed / been to, none of the threads seems to bash a show. (Maybe we have different meanings of bashing) The threads I've been to (this included) have people stating why they don't care for the show as much as others may do. I for one have brought up me not praising over Inuyasha in that other thread. And animekid seemed to have took it like I was trying to change his views on the show. That is not true at all. When I first heard about Inuyasha and the praises it got from other people. I'm literally expecting this show to be perfect. While it is a decent fun show, I expected alot more out of it. (Especially after being amazed by Rurouni Kenshin's action sequences) Thus making me not that big of a fan. Again... this is merely my opinion. I don't post to offend anyone (unless you really urk me) or try to change their view. With that said. Like IceRose, I've been taking a liking to Vandread. Interesting way to go about men and women. I don't think I've mentioned this before, but I've never been a fan of the whole comedy genre in animes, but this one is an exception. I've found myself laughing at this show. The graphics addition was nice as well. And for some odd reason I find myself liking the music as well. -
I live in Vermont. Yes, it's a state; The Green Mountian State. And it's within New England, so I just like to say I live in New England. It's really surprising how many Americans ask me "What state is Vermont in?". Whenever I'm asked that, I die a little inside. So yeah, we're the guys who make REAL maple syrup. That's pretty much all we're good for. Oh, and snow. We get tons of snow. Cold... cold snow *cries*.
Meh, I'd like to move there one day... Either there or Alaska, or Denver. (Any place cold) In the summer how hot does it get there because I cannot stand heat whatsoever. >_> In any case. I was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. Living in the same household for 20 years. (As far as I can tell anyway. My parents said I was born in another house but I don't remember it, so.... oh well) I'm neutral about Detroit. I don't hate nor do I like living here.

I joined this forum for similar reasons as kayutori_sama. I started out at gamefaqs though. That was the worse experience ever. I joined that in 2000 and left at the end of 2002. (Why did I stay there... "shrugs" no life perhaps) I was arguing with someone different everyday. Anyways.... at the end of 2002 I was introduced to Gamesquad / Yugioh Dungeon (hide in a corner) / Optigamer. Met alot of decent people there. They had their ups and downs. Some kids tried to mature way too early. But it was alot of fun there. A little later on down the line (March or April 2004 I think) the owner sold it to someone else, and all hell broke loose. Got banned. (Got banned for telling the truth... how do you like those apples >_>) Anyways. From that point on I went forum searching. Ranging from Videogame forums to Anime Forums. 3 months later, I get an IM from a friend saying that the old members were getting together at another forum ran by a 12 year old.... (big mistake) I decided to join in on the party. Turns out that this 12 year old admin is holding a grudge against me from something that happened way back then. And even then it was over he said she said garbage. (I think this is where I started hating all 9 - 16 year olds) And so I get banned there as well. (Corrupt admin
you don't understand why it gets the high praises because it just isn't in your view. thats all, i'm not obsessed but I refuse to let someone convince me that "it's not that good".when obviously it isn't bad at all.
You're jumping the gun. I never said Inuyasha was bad nor did I say it was good. I said it was overrated. I don't "praise" Inuyasha simply because it doesn't meet my standards. All I see in it is a repetitive storyline. (Of course you may see something different) I don't care for romance. The action is mediocre. (And I'm a hardcore action fan. I prefer action over almost everything.) I'm gonna tell you now. Just because you cherish this show. I could careless. Your views won't change my views. (If you take offense then my bad, but honestly.... I just don't care. I've been in far too many arguments dealing with these type of topics because I don't share someone elses opinion, and don't feel like going through another.) Edit: And this is where things fall apart. >_> Edit: I couldn't remember how to spell that word correctly for nothing. THANK YOU ANIMEKID. "mediocre" *writes it down*

Personally, I haven't seen any animes that sucked. (Take in my account that I haven't seen many animes at all.) However I do find some overrated. (Well not some, just 1) EDIT: That can be ignored. To answer your question. I've always wondered why Inuyasha always got the high praises. Now keep in mind I don't find this show bad because I watch it as well, I just find it overrated. I don't understand the obsession most people have for it. (And when I say obsessed.... man, the obsession turns into weirdness.) Edit: Crap.... y'all are some of the fastest typers I have ever seen.

Being a male.... Let's see. I don't know.... I like to think men and women are equal. So I don't believe in the "men runs the household or women are suppose to let the men work while they take care of the house". If anything I respect women more so than men. I guess it's because all the fellas I've been around tends to want to play the "bad boy" role. Thinking they can get away with almost anything. I don't believe in hitting girls, but I wouldn't stand there to let them pound on me either. Physical features or whatever. Probably like almost any other male that cares about being healthy, I like to stay fit and play some good ole football / basketball. Although in basketball, I've noticed a lot of changes within the males. They tend to whine alot. Whined more so than females. (No offense to the women because back when I was in middle and high school, I was around alot of females that whined constantly) Haven't had / played a friendly game of basketball in a long time. For me being a male I guess the only difference between me and many other men / males is that I just don't care. (About most things that happens around me in general.) That and probably the whole pride issue. I have little pride, and hardly anything motivates me.... Your not so typical loner that gets along with everyone. (I'd like to consider myself a laid-back loner  )

Vicious (Cowboy Bebop) - Heart as cold as ice. I don't think he cares if anyone lives or dies. He was straight bad to the fullest. Legato (Trigun) - To be that calm and crazy. I haven't seen many villains like him. Shishio (Rurouni Kenshin) - Almost took out all 4 "top fighters" in 15 minutes. He deserves a little recognition (think I spelled that wrong).

Anime this is the "discuss anime without bashing" thread
Magus replied to animekid17's topic in Otaku Central
Lol. No negativity eh. I can deal with that. (Atleast this forum can handle negativity better than the previous forums I've been to. So far anyway.)
i'll start, anybody else into ninja animes.
I am. If I had to say, ninja / samurai animes are the animes that got me hooked on animes. When I 1st seen Ninja Scroll. I was impressed because of the fight scenes. From there I went to Ruroni Kenshin. (I included samurai because they sorta of deal with the same concepts so to speak.) But yes, I enjoy ninja animes very much although the ony ninja animes I've seen so far is Ninja Scroll and now Naruto. Any others that I should know about? -
Uhh... actually, I'm not fond of the RPG genre in general. The whole leveling up thing isn't my kind of thing.

I watch the anime (English dub) as well as read the manga. I am a fan, but I wouldn't say that I'm that big of a fan of it. (I like Bleach over it) But it's still good nevertheless. English dub... I have some minor issues with it, but I won't bore any of you with it since most of you probably heard it a million times by now. But it's fairly decent though. My favorite character(s) are: Neji - Out of all the kids/preteens or what have you. I'd probably consider him to be the most level headed one out of the bunch besides Shikimaru. Maybe that's me, but his techniques is very good too. Kakashi / Zabuza - In some ways I consider these 2 to have similar personalities. Both of them are laid back. It's just that one is on the side of good and the other is on the side of evil. (yin and yang so to speak) I like these 2 equally. Itachi - Almost anyone that can take out Kakashi with one move has my respect. But he has style. (I don't know how, but he just has style) My least favorite: Naruto - I do not like people that're too dramatic. Or guys that're too hyper. (I can put up with females being hyper but not the guys) And he fits both of these roles. I find him very annoying. Any comedy he adds to the show / manga, I find it corny. I don't know. His negatives outweighs the positives. I don't really care for Sakura or Sasuke either, but I'll leave them alone. ^_^
yeah man! but also, what you find wrong with the anime other people might love. so I guess it's just what your into,or something :animeswea
I understand that good and well. The thing is is that I don't have the same interest that others have. I try to state it as nicely as I can, but they always take offense. So.... Let's just say I stopped caring >=).
