It was too cold to do anything and even if it wasn't I still would've probably stayed in and chilled.

Hmm... I think what I was going for here (still am) was if people had any problems with the actual consoles. Game wise, I know the PS4 have quite a few games I'm looking forward to. On the other hand, XBox's controller is just comfortable in my hands (finding this out after playing USF4 and Mass Effect on the 360). Outside of both XBL and PSN getting hacked, I haven't heard too much when it comes to the hardware (So I'm assuming everything is all good). For the XB1 I think I heard the installation takes forever. I'm getting rid of a lot of clutter and looking to update as well.

Yeah, I've had quite the experience when it came to laggy matches. "Entertaining" stuff on a random saturday night. Edit: In training mode as we speak, but trying out different characters. Found Yun on the boring side for the first time, and surprisingly I'm finding him to be harder to use over Dudley, but yet Dudley has harder combos because a lot of his combos have many 1-frame links while Yun has none. So far I've tinkered with Decapre, Rose, Fei-Long, Ken, Yun and Poison. I may try out Cody once more since he was originally my main and that's my dude, but I hate that Capcom made him so weak in this version (He struggles pretty badly against Dan of all people). The joy of character crisis >_>

Oh don't get me wrong, the only time I have is the weekend or on an aggravating day I kinda force myself to play Street Fighter (or rather training mode) so I can calm down, but for the most part I'm usually drained after work and don't like doing much. When it comes to the online connection I'm in the same boat, perhaps even worse since I have a wireless router (I'm looking into getting an ethernet cable or something). Playing as Dudley against T-Hawk in story mode on hard is beyond ridiculous.
-
Yeah.. I stay far away from smash, and yes, I play online folks (against my better judgement) sometimes. For the most part, though, I'm usually playing my friends and family.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 More Dudley practice. I'm hitting his cr.lp > cr.lp > st.hk > MGB combo more frequently. I gotta Jet Upper over Machine Gun Blow next since the motion is completely different and I gotta get used to it. The one combo I know I'm gonna struggle with is f.hk > st.hk > MGB. The timing in this game when it comes to 1-frame links are too strict which gets me so wishy-washy with this game quite a bit. Anyway, I lied (partially) when I said I was gonna pick up Ryu/Akuma and/or Gouken. Added Ryu, but he'll probably be my fun character, but I decided to make Yun my secondary character. I like rushdown in this game and a lot of the rushdown characters are quite powerful, although this version is probably more balanced than ever (people can't decide who're the top 10 strongest characters so they're literally saying the top 10 consist of 20 characters)

Too many to really list to be honest. I'd probably say Youtube is my new home for the most part as well, but the sad thing is I'm only watching fighting game footage from tournaments or replays of XBL/PSN of USF4. ssf4evo [TokidoFans] blog Yogaflame Team Spooky My go-to's for watching XBL/PSN or tourney replays Shintroy Behrudy For learning Dudley

Ultra Street Fighter 4 (360) First thing I noticed right off the bat is that, while everyone complains about the 360 controller, it feels very comfortable in my hands so pulling off combos feel a little more natural to me (nailed Dudley's bread and butter combo at least a good 5 times. Nothing to write home about but it made me happy since my execution sucks), and even then I'm still not entirely sure if I'm going to use the 360 controller or not since I have a fight stick here as well and I do play on both the 360 and ps3. Dudley being my main as of now (was still stuck in a character crisis) and was considering picking up a secondary character, but I'll focus on one for now. Even though Guy is my favorite character, Dudley suits me more. He hits like a train and have stylish combos (that're hard to pull off). He's also just a fun character to use. I think I said that about Yun at one point, but nothing beats a character that suits you. Anyway, I think if I were to try and pick up other characters they would either be Ryu/Akuma and/or Gouken. I know quite a few Ryu combos and Gouken have that damage (If Dudley hits like a train then Gouken is a tank). And then Akuma has the stylish combos as well. Edit: I take it back. #### this damn controller. It's still comfortable in my hands, but dammit. Mass Effect 1 I'd say at this point I've kinda been losing my patience and just trying to rush through the rest of the game just so I can get to ME2. Problem is I don't want to accidentally choose something I never intended to pick. I know for sure I want to do a couple of things different this go around just to see what's different in 2. As of right now my Shep is an infiltrator (I miss not being able to wear heavy armor though), and I think I'll finish up with either Garrus/Wrex and Liara. I know for that I've used Wrex and Liara the most. As for where I'm at. On the citadel after the events on Virmire.

Random game type stuff. I'll admit that I've never been a good person to debate with simply because I don't have the patience, especially when it comes to talk about games. I don't remember much of it too well, but I definitely know I stopped visiting much due to silly trolling over games.

I heard Missy was there, but I got mixed opinions. Assuming she was the best?

This pretty much sums it up for me. I know I resigned from moderation when I moved to Arizona in 07-ish (08?) and when I moved back to Detroit I know I posted quite frequently, but at the same time I went straight to ITT immediately. I didn't find it hard to do homework and post here because my homework always had something to do with drawing something on AutoCAD/Inventor. Always had explorer going. It wasn't until I got my job in 2011 when I started popping up less frequent and that's more or less because of me just being physically drained and never feel like being bothered to type much of anything. I think when I was doing 12 hr shifts was when I'd really just pop online for about 10 minutes and pop back off. Then came the trolling. Granted, I get that that's the time we are in now, but at the time I was too tired to even deal with any of it (Not to mention, my sense of humor was/is practically non existent) . Ran into trolls at 2 other forms and saw foolishness on Facebook as well so for the most part I stopped doing forums altogether. Till this day I mainly visit here (post in the game thread on weekends or whenever I'm not feeling too tired) and lurk Shoryuken. Stopped going to Facebook altogether. As for "Senior Otaku", before the switch was it 1500 or 2000 post until you received that title?

Didn't watch the game, but saw the last 10-15 minutes. Best sequence of events I've seen in a while, although, I nearly threw my remote at my tv when I saw that catch (Pats fan here, but Shermon is that deal). And then I saw the interception, I just cracked up laughing (had money on this game too). The fight at the end, though, could've done without it. Heard the halftime show wasn't good. Never was a fan of Katie Perry "shrugs"

Stopped playing for the PS3 and started playing it on the 360 again. The reason I also bought it for the ps3 was because of the dlc being easier for me to get access to. Anyway, yeah, went to the 360 for my ME fix. And no doubt I'm familar with how good ME2 is. I found it so good that I got all the way to the suicide mission and stopped because I didn't want to see how it was going to end. You can pretty much say that I fell in love with everything ME2 had to offer. From the story, characters, etc, all the way down to how the game plays. My only hiccup with it was the ammo collecting and that's just a minor nitpick. I've yet to start ME3, and that's how we got to me starting over but for the ps3. That said, I put all of those games aside (outside of USF4 of course) for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. My job has been pissing me off badly as of late and the Halo series have been my go-to games for anger (getting to the point where a lot of these games are not working anymore).

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune This epic series. I do get hyped while watching someone play this, but it's also quite the experience this at first hand as well. I just got on chapter 6 after that epic driving through the jungle/forest. I'm playing this on the easiest level and I've still died quite a number of times. Majority of it was by bullet fire because of a low shortage of ammo so I go in trying to clobber the first guy I see only to find out I'm being shotgun blasted in the back. The way to throw grenades feels a bit weird because I don't use the sixaxis throw my grenade but still it felt weird for some odd reason. Ultra Street Fighter 4 Not gonna lie. Had fun but I'm salty. It's been a good while since I've actually played a match against anyone (mainly been doing training mode and getting bored) and since my brother-in-law and sister are in town we decided to fire it up. I actually did fairly well against his Ryu with my Guy (after all this time trying to train as Cody, Guy turns out to be my best character). His Ken is a beast though, although he kept doing scrubby tactics that I couldn't react to but could see through his tactics clear as day. I still have to work on my punish combos (basic combos as well) One Piece: Pirates Warriors 2, Samurai Warriors 4 Mindless fun.

Mass Effect Struggling to get through the rest of it on the ps3. At first I wasn't bothered by the glitches because the loading wasn't nearly as bad, but now it's getting to the point where I'm thinking my game has actually froze only to load at the last minute. Still having fun with the game, but the glitches is really sapping it out of me. I have 2 more side missions (both on the Maroon cluster) before I tackle both Noveria and Virmire. Eventually I plan to start up the Uncharted series as well as continue with Mass Effect 2. It's just a matter of time on actually getting to them in general.

Mainly along the lines of the game being incomplete, boss fights goes on forever, awards/loot not great (assuming they meant they're not getting the good stuff or something) Look up angry joe's review sometime as well. Like I said, I do still plan to get the game. I didn't know Bungie were going to be updating this forever though, so we'll see. The drive for me to buy the game now, though, isn't there.
-
I haven't played the game yet so I don't have an answer. I will say that it was one of the games that I was looking forward to, but hearing so many negative comments about it put me off from getting it. Eventually I will get it because I've become more open to games of this nature (borderlands 2 anyone?). But I will say this. I think it's great that Bungie and other devs (Ubisoft) are actually listening, patching and updating these games constantly. With that said, I'm at the point to where I'll wait until the very last patch actually come before I get the game because we just don't know if there's going to be a GotY edition or not, and well, I prefer to get a full game with all DLC already their for me.

I'm curious if anyone got their hands on the newer consoles, and what do you think about them? With the Xbox 1 having a version without the Kinect I'm thinking about getting one simply due to Halo: Master Chief Collection (Too bad Reach is not getting any love) and it's cheaper than a PS4 (which I still plan to get). Is there anything you do/don't like about the consoles? I'm very curious because I haven't heard any news on any of the consoles since E3 and now that games are finally starting to come out have opinions changed?

Playing everything on the PS3. My xbox360 is is on the fritz at the moment. Assassin's Creed 2 Restarted from the beginning. Have never played from beginning to end. Always tend to get fatigued around the part when you're going after the golden mask. Anyway, I'm in Venice getting ready to meet up with Leonardo (the assassination before the golden mask), although, I am getting fatigued yet again. Batman Arkham City My go to game for anger at the moment. I'm probably the only oddball that actually likes Origins over this and Asylum, but it's more for aesthetics value and the characters that were used in that one. Anyway, I'm currently on my way to the League of Assassin's. I'm getting better when it comes to blade takedowns, not to mention just getting used to the combat in general. Probably could get away with just button mashing, but knowing that you can do better by taking your time makes the combat feel better. Mass Effect Just picking up from where I last left off. The only thing I did since then was tackle the DLC mission. I have mixed opinions about it. I like the action, but it was hampered by the background colors. I couldn't see what I was up against until the geth drones (?) were right up on me. They blended in with the background colors and with all the gunfire it was just hard to see what was what. I've long since stopped playing Street Fighter 4. From the constant character crisis to the constant whining from capcom fans it's just been hard to keep any interest in the game. I've moved onto playing/studying Guilty Gear XXAC+R a lot more now. I think it has the right # of characters whereas anything over 30 just becomes too time consuming, which I don't have the time to try and figure out how to handle 30+ matchups. Edit: I take that back about SF4. I'll only play it with family and friends, and live in person, but random people online, I'll stay away from.

You're not lying about what was shown at E3. My goodness was I stoked for seeing Phantom Pain (I saw the trailer that had the song Nuclear playing in it as well as a 30:00 demo. Awesome stuff. Can easily be GotY) Seeing you say GZ is almost like a beta just don't sit well with me. In a sense, it kind of reminds me of Batman Arkham Origins. There's a season pass for $20 and all you really get for it is some costumes and 4 hrs of extra gameplay stuff. And even then, that's actually more reasonable to me than payng $30 for something close to a beta. With that said though, I do want to play Ground Zeroes. I just hope Konami release a bundle or something where you can get both GZ and PP. SSF4:AE2012 Still going through a character crisis, but this time it's Gouken and Oni that I've decided to play as. I'm getting a bit more and more discouraged to play this game simply because of folks online. Granted, I understand the saltfest the comes with the territory when it comes to fighting games, but these people are ridiculous. Between playing these people to reading the forums (I'm still learning and trying to improve my game mind you) it's like all people can do is just whine. And with the release of Ultra Street Fighter 4, it's been nothing but constant complaint after complaint. You'd think the crowd behind the Guilty Gear games, King of Fighter games, or even the 3D fighting games would do all this whining compared to Capcom's fandom since SF4 is considered to be the best, but no these people at like they have common sense. Speaking on other fighting games. King of Fighters 13 This game is fricken hard, but still, I'm getting more and more into this game. Guilty Gear XX:AC+R Nothing to really say about this game. Probably my favorite fighting game at the moment.

Despite being a big MGS fan I refuse to buy Ground Zeroes because this could've easily been included in the actual release of Phantom Pain (kind of like MGS2&3 divided the games). I'm still not hipped onto buying any of the newer consoles as of yet, but I just recently heard that Microsoft is going to release a Kinect-less version of the Xbox 1, and I may very well consider buying one some time before the year is up because of that decision, not to mention there was an announcement that there's a Halo collection coming to the X1 as well. So I've had quite the change of heart towards Microsoft as of late. I still want to play Killer Instinct as well. As for the PS4, I'm still planning to get it. Nothing's been announced to really get my attention though. Anyway, Guilty Gear XX: AC+R Been playing this a lot more as of late. As much as I love Capcom fighters, the community (online portion) itself is really pushing me away from capcom games. Granted, I don't take anything from the net serious, but the way some of these folk act is what kills the fgc in general. To shy away from all that noise though, I've tried out Johnny, and while that dude is probably the definition of style he's probably a little too hard for me to use at the moment so I've decided to use Sol Badguy and Order-Sol. Go from stylish to bad@$$. I'm digging the amount of freedom in this game (along with Blazblue). Batman: Arkham Asylum Originally, the musou style games were my go to games for anger, but that's changed. The Arkham series seems to be filling in that void for me. Probably for the next month or 2, I'll be playing this along with Arkham City and Origins waiting for the newest Batman game and dealing with anger as well. Yugioh 5D Over the Nexus Little guilty pleasure here. Yugioh started it all for me. Got me into message boards and then got me into anime as well, and eventually led me here. Anyway, decided to reset everything against my better judgment because I wanted to unlock everything again, and I'm kinda kicking myself for it. Unlocking these packs is a big pain, especially when you have to start with such a crappy deck. Anyway, I'm currently on chapter 5, and have managed to put together a rather nice macro deck. Currently deciding on if I want to continue dueling against random ppl so I can win their best card or just wait till I get the packs they're in. The little mini-game is very tedious, but a lot of these cards can be worth it. "shrugs"
