1. Now this was a chapter to my liking. And hooray for Yamaha (sp?) standing there with Kenpachi like that. Hopefully that'll bring Kenpachi down a notch (wishful thinking).
  2.
Few things in the interim. - Kenpachi is now competing with Hitsugaya for my least favourite Bleach character, the guy is as one-dimensional as they come. - Really liked this week's chapter, it was a nice development for both Yamamoto and Sasakibe who've been underdeveloped a long time in my books.
I know, right? I think I begun losing interest in Kenpachi when he was fighting Nnoitra. And, now I'm at the point to where I hope the leader guy would do him in. I actually didn't care for this weeks chapter. I find it much to late for Kubo to show me the bond between Sasakibe and Yama-ji. I can understand from Yama-ji's point of view, but at this point I just don't care because of the lack of development for Sasakibe.

  4.
This is based on the Chinese translation of the above Japanese text, which may or may not be fully accurate. Enjoy, nonetheless! The torn sleeve of the damaged arm of the masked man slowly flutters to the ground. Gai: This guy...has just one ninjutsu? Kakashi: Right. Naruto: Although I don't really get it, we finally landed a blow on the guy! Gai: When it comes to analytical ability, there's no one who surpasses you, Kakashi. So please explain that guy's ninjitsu in simple language. Our battle tactics will greatly change once we understand how his ninjitsu works, compared to before when we didn't. Kakashi: The way this ninjitsu works really is quite simple, so listen up! 597: The Secret of the Time/Space Jutsu! The truth about the jutsu?! Kakashi: It's the same as the absorption jutsu...his 'slipping' jutsu is the exact same type of time/space jutsu. Kai: What do you mean? How can you be so sure of that? Naruto: ? Kakashi: I'll explain in sequence. First, the damage to that guy's mask. That damage was caused by my Raiton kunai. I was fairly confident of that, and the damage his left arm took from the Rasengan sealed the deal in my mind. The thing in common with both of the wounds is that he began to warp himself away only once Naruto made some sort of physical contact with him. Additionally...there's something special about both of these wounds. They were both made when the Raiton kunai and the Rasengan were warped away by the power of my Kamui. Gai: ...! (Chinese translator: I totally don't understand Kakashi's explanation - sadface - I'll keep translating). Naruto: ? Kakashi: That is to say, from this we can tell that this guy's warping ninjutsu...is connected to my Kamui somehow. Gai: Wait wait...wait! What's going on here? How is it possible that your dojutsu is connected somehow to this guy's dojutsu? (Chinese translator: Is it actually Obito?! -sadface-) Killer B: Can it be that all space/time ninjutsu are linked together in some way?! Kakashi: No...I'm afraid that's not the case. Just his and mine. (Chinese translator: OMG, it's really Obito O.O. It's getting more and more Obito.) Masked Man: .... Naruto: What's going on? Kakashi: It appeared as though your attack slipped through him, but in reality, the point of contact on that guy's body simply warped out to another dimension. In other words, instead of describing your fist as 'passing through' that guy's shoulder, it's more accurate to describe it as not even being in the same dimension, as it was warped to another dimension. Kakashi: But it was still substantial and real. At about the same time, I warped away my Raiton kunai using Kamui, which I had thrown at his side just as he was attempting to grab you. Then, as my kunai entered the other dimension, it left a mark on his mask. Naruto: So it was the same with my Rasengan? Kakashi: Yes. Naruto: So that's how it is. Killer B: But...why would it be linked to that guy's jutsu? Kakashi: Where did you get that eye from? Masked man: Where I got it from? Well...if you insist on asking, I got it during the battle at Kannabi Bridge...at around the time when you began to be known as the Ninja of the Copying Eye. Kakashi: !!!! ...you.... Masked man: It should've already been said! Simply put! You who are capable of nothing more than unfulfilled promises no longer has any worth or value! Even if you have regrets, it is too late! Reality will continue to callously march forward! You who have always been pragmatic and practical should understand. No promises or hopes will ever come true in this world! And that is precisely why this world must go to sleep underneath the eye of the Infinite Tsukyumoni. It will create a world where heroes will no longer have to make excuses in front of the tomb of dead heroes. Kakashi: Hahaha! Gai: Hey! Kakashi, are you alright? Gai: ! Naruto: You bastard, what are you rambling about? We have already told you as well! The will of fire will never be released! We have been entrusted with many precious things as well! Kyuubi: .... Gai: Naruto! Killer B: Yup. Masked man: Hmph...entrusted with many things...but Naruto...if you looked down on and despised that which Jiraiya and the Yondaime entrusted you with, how would they think of you? Flashback Naruto and Jiraiya, in front of the Shrine: If I can't find the answer, then I'll entrust you with the question...I am so happy to have taken you on as my student! Yondaime: You must find the answer for yourself! I don't know it either, but you should be able to find it. I believe in you! Flashback ends. Masked man: If you fail in that which you were entrusted with...how would you view yourself? Naruto: .... Masked man: Even if you use words like 'hope' to delay having to face it...the empty, pitiless reality awaits. Both the entruster and entrustee are rendered empty. Kyuubi: ... Flashback Yondaime: I sealed half of the Kyuubi's chakra into your body because I have faith that you will be able to fully control it, as you are my son. Flashback ends Kyuubi: Naruto...let me take over! I have some words that I absolutely must say to that fellow. Naruto: ! Kyuubi-Naruto: Sorry...this fellow was entrapped by that fellow's words and schemes. Gai: ...Kyuubi?! Kakashi: ! Masked man: .... Kyuubi: I, who was entrusted to Naruto by Yondaime...Naruto has treated me as a friend, and now totally has full reign over my chakra! Naruto: ! Kyuubi: Yondaime sealed me into Naruto's body, with the intention of using my chakra to defeat you! Naruto faintly smiles. Kyuubi: Let's go...Naruto! Failure and despair, you won't accept either of them! Naruto (Kyuubi-form): O-o-o-! Totally defeated! Is this destiny?
Err.... Bull####

  6. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Who didn't see that coming? :) Going to Evolution 2012 sort of inspired me to get a little better in the game. While I was going there to see what the community was like, I actually wanted to see more of Street Fighter 4 so I can see how people are doing links and whatnot, but turns out I didn't really care for what I saw in SF at all. Underwhelming indeed. Anyway, I tackled mission mode for Nova, Wolverine, Spencer, Dante, Trish, Hawkeye, and Taskmaster. I still have Vergil, She-Hulk, X-23, Storm, Strider, Spider-Man, Magneto, Dr. Doom, Dormammu and Phoenix to do. As I've been saying, Vergil and Spencer are going to be on my main team. I'm just looking for that 3rd character. Also, during mission mode, I decided that I will not be using Taskmaster or Dante. Way too many moves and button combinations for me to remember. Edit: Batman: Arkham City (GotY) While I am enjoying it, especially more than Arkham Asylum (I didn't care for that), but to be honest, the closer I get to the endgame the more I find myself becoming tired of it and almost catching myself from saying this game is falling flat. I think after I fought with
Ra's al Ghul
(probably the best and my favorite fight in the game so far) is where I'm thinking this game was beginning to fall apart. Like Arkham Asylum, it's no Devil May Cry (perhaps my favorite game/series of all time at the moment) nor is it Assassin's Creed (probably my 2nd favorite), but I'd say it falls somewhere between the 2. And much like my issue with Arkham Asylum, I'm beginning to have the same issues here, which I can't explain that well. It's like Rocksteady decided to play it safe when it came to both the stealth parts along with the beat em up parts, and it kind of feels "bleh" at this point. It's not a bad game by any means though. Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition Ever since I got back from EVO 2012 most of my gaming time has been spent on this and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. While I don't plan to enter in any tournies, I'd still like to get better, especially since I plan on going to EVO from here on out mainly to learn stuff. And since it's just 3 of us playing, I'd like to be the better of the 3 :) (If anyone else like to play as well, don't hesitate to ask for my PSN and I'll post it.). I'm only playing casually, but in terms of actually learning the game I'm taking it more serious. I'm still having a bit of an identity crisis. I'm still using Rose for the most part, but now I dropped Juri, Cammy, and Oni. I won't say I dropped Cody because he is still my best character by far, but I am a bit tired of him. I don't have as much fun when I use him. I went back to Guy only to drop him once again. Truthfully, I might pick him up for more of a fun purpose instead of actually trying to learn him in and out. At the moment now, my main characters are Rose, Ibuki and Yun. I'm using Rose because I'm still learning the game and she seems to be basic enough to learn the game with. Ibuki and Yun on the otherhand, I like fast, rushdown type characters with basic inputs. And because I can't really FADC out of a move all that well, they seem like the perfect characters for me to use and they're fun. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Like I said, ever since getting back from EVO my attention has been on learning this game as well. And at the moment I'm tinkering with Nova, Spencer, Vergil, and then Spencer, Vergil, Hawkeye. I'm also thinking about Vergil, Dr. Doom, and Hawkeye or Vergil, Taskmaster and Dr. Doom. The variety of characters in this game really makes me like it more and more. Sure there are characters that have an advantage over others but almost every character can really kill you in one touch, and, well, I like that, and it's hype. Sorry for the long wall of text. EDIT 2: Batman: Arkham City (GotY) I beat it yesterday. I think it's a lot better than Akham Asylum, but truth be told I still think it could've been so much better. Like its predecessor, it feels as if Rocksteady was trying to play the combat safe, but at the same time I do think it's quite a step-up from AA. I didn't do any of the side missions because I was basically trying to plow through the story, which was pretty good, but by the time I finished fighting
Ra's Al Ghul
I started getting fatigued, and from there it just felt like everything was dragging on and on. Overall, I think the game is pretty good. Am I going to keep it long enough to start a new game +? Probably not. Other than finding out who all are in the game, it really left no desire for me to play it again.
  7. Had fun in Vegas. I'll be going again next year. Gonna plan it differently this time though.

  8. Ok, looking what I've seen from Evolution, I think the most annoying character for me would be Dr. Doom. Watching some of these players fighting against teams like Dr. Doom/Dormammu/Magneto, Dr. Doom/Magneto/Phoenix, Morrigan/Dr. Doom/Akuma>Vergil>Hawkeye.... Basically any team with Dr. Doom. His hidden missles is extremely annoying. Hell, I was getting annoyed for players who had to go against these teams. Against the Doom/Magneto/Phoenix team, I can understand snapping in Phoenix, but any other team, I would think you need to snap Doom in if he's not the point character. Another thing I noticed was an increase in Spencers. I don't blame them because he looks like a fun character, especially with his Bionic Arm. I'm still thinking about who I want to team with Vergil and right now I'm thinking Nova/Spencer/Vergil, or Vergil/Hawkeye/Spencer.
  9. Man, tomorrow is the day I leave for Vegas. I've been waiting 2 months for this. I was suppose to be there already, but some things came up and caused some money problems. Next year I will be better prepared. Edit: Today is my last day in Vegas. Evo was pretty good from what I've seen of it. I didn't go on Saturday because my body ached from walking from the Excalibur to Caesar's on that Friday. But I did get to attend the finals (which is all that matters right?) For the most part it was pretty good, but I was a little disappointed as well. I did some ooh's and ahh's, but for the most part I didn't get hyped up like I thought I would (then again I'm not really the type to show a lot of emotion either) Vegas as a whole was a learning experience and an eye opener as well. I finally hopped on a bus yesterday, but I ended up going in the wrong direction. I was also getting a little agitated because of the heat. Once the women get out here I see they are a trip, especially when they get drunk lol. And then I don't understand how men can wear these suits and still walk out into that heat. I will be back next year and better prepared. For 1 I won't let my family handle making reservations (trying to save me money put me away from my destination and almost ruined the experience). Anybody that's coming along with me will have to put in on it because I'm not paying for ####. It was already hard for me to save up because student loans and then I have a giant phone bill that no one else pitching in to pay. And finally, wear clothes with deeper pockets. I wear loose-fitted clothing for the most part and decided to wear shorts during the whole experience here and my camera fell out and broke (I stupidly got on the roller coaster at New York, New York). Damn near lost my phone. I enjoyed myself though. If I go anywhere else this year it will probably be California or Florida.
  10. Meh, you would think these people would learn by now. Stabs to the chest, shots to the back don't do anything. Hell, Hyori's body was cut in half and yet she's still kicking. Anyway, I was actually disappointed in this chapter. Did Kubo really have to spend an entire chapter talking about the strengths and weaknessess of the Quincies? I'd imagine 2-5 pages could've done the trick. He's really hell-bent on dragging this thing out even if it means dragging out the smallest of detail. I gotta say though, I'm really hoping that Kubo is not turning this into Naruto or DBZ where every competant character that was capable of defending themselves has to rely on the main character to save the day. Again, I hope that's not the case, but it looks like it's heading in that direction, and even then, I wouldn't like Ichigo's chances in that predicament either. I do wish the sandbagging will stop just so we can get a glimpse of what the Royal Guard looks like.
  11. Kind of a teaser chapter for me. While I find that the appearance of what's their names pointless (Sasuke pretty much said it best. "What could they want with him?"). They're not their to fight him, although, I suppose they don't know what he did to Karen (she had it coming), but I don't think they care either. But still, they're a waste of space at this time. But I would like to know what that scroll said, and now Sasuke wants to see Orochimaru. I was under the impression that he was sealed in a dream-like world by Itachi? Naruto had the right idea, I guess, because I definately want to see what's behind the mask, but taunting him won't do anything. And for a moment I thought Sasuke was gonna say I need to see Madara.. I was gonna die laughing.
  12. Just going to give my opinion about the main characters Mako, ah, yes, I also liked him at the start of the series, and by the end I also grew to hate him. I mean, we all knew he was going to end up with Korra (and I have no issues with her whatsoever) by the end, I just hated how he was treating everyone in the process (Had Asami turned on team avatar, it would've been justified). Tenzin, the one who should be the most worried about Korra, is acting as rational as ever while Mako is making himself out to look like a fool. And while I'm the last person you'd probably hear talking about romance and whatnot, but, man, the creators seem to really like the idea of rushed love and whatnot. These folks only been together for about a month and they seem to think they love each other.... Yeah, right. They hardly even know each other. It probably would've been more believeable towards the series finale than trying to tie it up within 12 episodes. Anyway, I don't think there's any secret now that Lin is by far my favorite character here with Tenzin and Korra following afterwards. That episode where she got her bending taken away from her was by far the best episode by far, and probably the best episode in the avatar databooks. I almost cried at the moment Amon took her bending. The Bei-fong characters some of the best and interesting characters in the series (Azula is still my favorite though). Tenzin, is a great character. A serious character, but always seem to manage to be the receiving end of jokes and whatnot. And then to see him in action against the equalist was a treat. I enjoyed the way he was using airbending considering all Aang wanted to do was avoid fighting which is quite ironic because at the start of Book 3, he said he hated not being able to do anything... Anyway, Tenzin was great. Korra took a couple of episodes to grow on me. Way better character/protagonist than Aang will ever be. There were some things that had me questioning her though. She risked throwing her friendship away over Asami's father. Had she'd been wrong that would've backfired so hard. I just wished she handled that better instead of going by "I can feel it". But other than that I like her character. Bolin. I don't really have much to say about Bolin or Asami for that matter. Bolin was the comic relief I suppose, but I was never into characters who're there for that matter. Asami on the otherhand, I just felt sorry for because of the way Mako treated her.
  13. Finally getting a chance to talk about the finale. While I liked what I saw, but considering this was a season finale, and comparing it to it's predecessor.. If there's one thing I liked about A:TLA, it's the finale's of each season because they delivered big time. Here in TLoK, it just felt underwhelming for a season finale. I didn't see the revelation about Amon coming at all, but everything else was just... good. It's like it took no chances or anything. I was kinda expecting more from Iroh considering Lin and Tenzin are beasts on the battlefield. I guess I wanted to see him in action against actual people instead of planes and whatnot. I wanted more.
  14. It's no secret that Itachi is my favorite character. It's no secret that I like the Uchiha clan. As a matter of fact this chapter made me respect Itachi even more now, and this sort of contradicts my comment about not wanting to see the brothers vs Kabuto. I still don't care about Kabuto one bit, but for someone that've surpassed Orochimaru (granted I never believed Orochimaru could ever fight Itachi) and even acquired his own sage mode, I was expecting a little more from this fight. Now, Madara on the otherhand. OMG, this guy gives broken a new definition, even moreso than Aizen, and I'm liking it, because he's living up to his legendary status.
  15. I enjoyed the past chapter along with the previous chapter. My only issue with the last chapter was that it ends with Ichigo catching the phone and Urahara shooting what's his name... If I were just getting into this series that would definately leave a sour taste in my mouth.
  16. I swear, each month it feels like I lose more interest in anime. I mean I have all the series I want on dvd, and I'm pretty much at the point where I don't even care what's on tv (in terms of anime). With that said, though, I've been watching some Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for the past couple of days. Or rather, it's been watching me while I sleep. That's not a knock against the series or anything (I just go to sleep with anime on my tv).
  17. Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's WC2011: Into the Nexus I'm not a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh at all, at least, not anymore (but it was the cause of me getting into message boards in the 1st place). Anyway, I beat the a long time ago. I'm just trying to unlock these World Championship packs. If anything, I treat this game as a time killer. Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition This time it was 3 of us in Endless Battle. Me, my brother-in-law, and his friend. For the most part my brother-in-law's friend and I were getting bodied, but at the same time they were fairly close battles. I did manage to beat him and even got on a 3-4 game winning streak. I won with Rose, Cammy, Cody, Oni, and Juri (of all people..). What I learned this time is that I need to have patience. Also, I still need to cover the basics, because, if I learn proper spacing and footsies, and when to tic-throw, my brother-in-law would definately have a tougher time. The sad part is I see every single mistake he's doing, I just don't know how to punish properly for those mistakes. So, what I'm hoping for during this week and the week after I get back from Vegas (going to EVO) is to just spend 2-3 hours in training/trial mode (if I can actually commit to it) and work on spacing, footsies, and some basic bread and butter combos along with basic punish combos. But for the most part, unlike last time, this time I was actually having more fun.
  18.
It's interesting to me here how they name specific games in the series (Gears 3, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Halo 3...etc) instead of just mentioning the games that actually started those franchises. Gears 1 was the one that kickstarted it all and got the franchise rolling, how is 3 any different than that (besides that multiplayer is about a bazillion times better). And as much as I love Super Turbo, I think the ORIGINAL SFII game should have been on there. That's the game that got people in arcades playing fighters. That's the one that revolutionized the genre. ST didn't come out until years later.
That would make more sense, but then again for something like that I'd probably call it top 100 game series or something along those lines (It would definately make things more condense instead of seeing the repeated games). At the same time I gotta admit that I never cared about what revolutionized or influenced what. Granted, I understand that the games wouldn't be what they are today without those influences/revolutions, but I'm all about what I like and would still play now. Then again that"s probably just me.

I do have to admit that there are some games on there you'd never see me play. For the most part I don't really have much to say about G4's list. I never took these kinds of things seriously from the getgo. I just find them to be fun, If anything, it tells me that I should really try playing Shadow of the Colossus, Portal, Minecraft and Angry Birds one day. Thoughts?

      Welcome to the club.

  21. How many episodes will this series have? Season finale already in 2 weeks. Anyway, definately the best thing on tv right now. Uh, ever since the episode "The Winner Is" it hasn't slowed down much. I kinda have an idea on how this will turn out, but I'll hold that till the finale.

    E3 2012

I finally got around to watching the rest of E3, and like many others have posted, E3 as a whole was definately underwhelming. So much talk about stuff I could careless about. Then again, when it comes to all the side gadgetry stuff I tend to get bored and ignore it. To me, E3 is all about games. Lemme see Assassin's Creed 3 Watchdog Splinter Cell: Conviction Halo 4 Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Metal Gear Rising: Revengance Yeah, there weren't many games that really caught my attention shown this year. I'm on the fence about Tomb Raider. I've never been much of a fan of the series to begin with and at the same time I'm not a fan of survival games. I'm not entirely sure if this Tomb Raider is about survival and whatnot, but the more I see it, the more I'm getting convinced into wanting it. God of War: Ascension (that word don't look right at all), I'm not really excited about because, to me God of War ended at 3. And I still haven't played 3, but even then, I thought there were already 2 prequels? Anyway, at this point I would think this game is being dragged out. DMC, meh, gotta be honest here. I am one of those that'll get upset over appearances and whatnot, I'm not the type who'll make death threats because of them. My issue with the look is that this "Dante" looked like he was some druggy, not to mention that this Dante just so happens to look almost like the head guy at Ninja Theory so I was definately not feeling this game, but then I got over the look and paid more attention to the way it plays and it actually looks like it can be a lot of fun. With that being said, I still feel that there was no need for a reboot. Anyway, I watched an interview over at Gametrailers, and Capcom said something along the lines of this game could determine the future of a direct sequel to this game or a direct sequel of the previous DMC games..... My thing with that then is why waste fans time with this reboot in the 1st place? Kinda wanted to see more Vita games because right now I have no reason to buy one yet. If anything I'd probably just buy a PSP. Oh, Watchdogs just might be the best game to ever be made.

    E3 2012

It is that time again (Man, 2012 is halfway done already). I don't know what to say since the event don't start until Monday. Uh, what are you looking forward to seeing? So far Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 are the only games I've seen that's going to be at the event. Not that I did it intentionally, but I haven't been keeping up with the games this year, so now there's no excuse for games to have lack that hype factor for me... At least that's what I'm hoping for.
