All this Pokemon stuff.... It's like an invasion or something... I see talk about Animaniacs.. Now that takes me back although I do prefer Looney Toons, but Animaniacs was still good though. Squared (polygonal? My eyes are playing tricks on me) emoticons.... Smaller than usual. Hmm.... I'll get used to them eventually. I suppose they are better than this penguin set of emoticons I've seen at this one place though.
For instanceâ??and I know this isn't anime-related, but it's the best example I can think ofâ??an acquaintance of mine is a pretty solid Gorillaz fan, but this person likes to flaunt their self-perceived mental depth and superiority over anyone, often without consciously realising they were doing so, and so I hated the band for a long time just because of this person. Got a chance to listen to a new album by them recently and I'm hooked, but this person kept me from being able to like them for years. So in that light, has something like that ever happened to you with an anime series, to the point where you didn't even feel like giving the series the first chance at all?
This is exactly what I was getting at when I originally made this topic. (It didn't come out this way at all, lol, my fault) Like I said in the opening post, I used to be a big fan of DBZ, and I eventually grew out of it. Tried getting back into it a couple of times, but getting used to other series afterwards caused me to not really care for much of anything the series once had. Anyway, that elitist I was aluding to is very similar to your acquaintance. Nothing against the guy and all, but he acts as if he's just that deal when it comes to DBZ. Thinking he needs to explain any and everything there is when people have something to say about DB if it sounds negative. But yeah, the point being is that I was turned away from the series because of stuff like that. (Meh, the guy acts the same way when it comes to Naruto and One Piece >_>)
Coyote Starkk is my favorite villan.
Hes very calm and collected but a serious threat to one's life. Its a shame that Kubo made him look like a wimp against Kyoraku.
Oh well, hes so strong and can shoot ceros without doing anything....that makes him look even cooler,
Spoilers... not everyone knows about that stuff lol. I agree with Elk though, Lust from FMA was my favorite of the bunch.
I still don't know whether I should be happy, mad or sad that Mustang did her in
. I'll try to think of some more soon.

I know in one of my previous posts I said I wasn't feeling Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty anymore, but I went back to playing it anyway. I was watching this walkthrough on Youtube (commentary by some Vash123 person) and while it was hilarious, it did kind of inspire me to play it again seeing how easily he was capturing guards. And while I haven't tried my luck in capturing the guards yet, I did decide to finish up my game on the "normal" difficulty setting first, just to see what kind of item I can unlock after beating the game since all that I'd ever get on "very easy" was a silly camera >_>. Anyway. right now I'm getting ready to run away from Fortune while preparing for Fatman. Man, still thinking about that crap I gotta put with for
escorting Emma
is still a turn off though.

Hmm... I'm split on the game. On one hand it certainly looks a lot more colorful. I felt that Twilight Princess was a little on the bland side when it came to the visuals. It just felt like a boring world or something. Anyway, yeah that's the one thing I'm digging with Skyward Sword at the moment. I'm like James in a sense. I feel that these Zelda games are becoming too stale at the moment. I couldn't get into Wind Waker and Twilight Princess pretty much wore me out with the OoT formula. I'm getting to a point where I'm getting a little fed up with the series, but I am interested in seeing where SS goes, but I'm not thrilled about the game at all.

Nah, Six Axis has not been confirmed. I kind of forgot about the Right toggle since in MGS 3/Subsistence/Collection had the right toggle moving the camera angle while in 3rd person (I'm assuming MGS4 did this as well?). I only assumed it was going to be Six Axis because of that as well. If I'm not mistaken, I do believe Kojima said he was not partaking in this MGS game. I think he was just going to be an overseer or something of that nature. Part 1 Part 2 Hmm... So Raiden will have sub-weapons.... I must've missed that or didn't pay attention to it the first time. Kojima seems like he's more focused on MGS 3DS moreso than this title, so I'm not sure if there's going to be long cutscenes or not, although I rather liked them lol.

I decided to take a break away from manga for a little bit to get into their anime counterparts since I tend to compare the anime to the manga quite a bit, and for the most part I'd end up disappointing myself because I set such a high standard for the fights (if there are any fights in that series). I do plan to get back into manga eventually but for now I'm gonna leave them alone... Anyway.. I watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood this past Saturday/Sunday on adult swim and was quite pleased with what I saw. I've been debating on if I want to watch the subs or not since it's been hard for me to catch it on Saturdays though.
Lust....
Started watching Gundam 00 on Syfy Monday/Tuesday.. Man, I completely forgot about Saji being a nuisance. At least he's not unbearable though. Episodes 2-3 of Baccano and 3-4 of Claymore are on demand and I plan to check those out sometime soon. I just might get back into Soul Eater while I'm at it. I've wanted to check out the rest of its dub. I have One Piece season one, 2nd Voyage (I decided to give it another go) coming in the mail from blockbusters, so yeah, probably be occupied with quite a few series from time to time. We'll see if I can squeeze in some time for some of the other series in my siggy.

I know, but then again I get my fill of cutting in my hack n slashers, but the way cutting seems here, it looks like it'll be utilizing that six-axis stuff a lot. I must admit though, my interest in beginning to waver a bit because of some of the interviews I've seen. From the way it sounds, it don't sound like Raiden's going to be getting a lot of gadgets to tinker around with. I mean a lot of the weaponry/customizing I saw in MGS4 looks to be a lot of fun, and I was hoping to see some of that here... I will be looking forward to more info though.

You know, I completely forgot about the event that occurred during the present.
Ageha saving Matsuri and getting rid of those spots that were tatted on her.
That could very well be Kagetora or Matsuri, but the guy's too big to be Matsuri (and the bust size is not there "coughs"), and as Gavin pointed out, that pose, speech pattern and attitude is un-Kagetora-like. But I agree, Matsuri is too cool of a character to die.

So apparently this is coming on Syfy again right behind Monster tonight. I think I'll be tuning in since I really liked the 1st season (I gotta see the 2nd season again)

I don't particularly care for Bleach in anime forum, nor do I think it's dub is all that great, but I do enjoy Dan Woren as Byakuya. You can stop it after Renji gets owned Note: The BGM should've just been called Byakuya's theme lol. It fits him over everyone else. Edit1: Oh the quote is "Put down your sword unless you still think you can beat me (this part was cut for some reason). Incase you'd forgotten, or perhaps it didn't occur to you. I'll remind you, Renji, that I, too have bankai." Edit2: Mustang rocks for that line lol I probably got a million of these quotes that I like so be ready XD.

A lot of people are convinced that Grimmjow's still alive and more power to them, but considering how Kubo had the top 3 espada taken out, I'm pretty much convinced he's dead. (Blead out, lamest death yet)

Talk about learning something new, I didn't even know there was a back row. The damage Jessica and Angelo've been taking is pretty high compared to Hero and Yangus, and they're at lvl 18.
I'm not sure The Internet is such a great place to look for any form of an emotional support group, actually. It doesn't require a lot of sincerity to type *hug*, after all, and I think sincerity's kind of the more important factor.
Agreed. There's nothing like getting that comfort you need from people surrounding you (or something of that nature). The only type of emotional thingy I use the internet for is venting/ranting (for the most, and even though it's bad for you I hold a lot in, almost too much and people wouldn't even know it), and even that don't work majority of the times. Need physical stuff to take anger out on. Man, I'd love to get back into martial arts. Sparring never felt any better during those days, of course I never lost my temper in it either.. Perhaps after I graduate and find work, I'd get back in it if I'm able to squeeze it into my schedule.

I enjoyed the latest episode.
The close-up of Lust chest and the bouncing effect
, I don't recall it being in the manga, but it added a nice bit of comedy in a serious situation.. Not many series does that these days (at least not that I'm aware of. Bleach did it in it's early stages and then it seemed to have lost it). I'm not a fan of that type of fanservice, but that was nicely played. Mustang remains to be a pimp.
No more Lust
Makes me mad, happy and sad. I'm still trying to get used to Ling's voice... (It's going to come up everytime I hear it lol) That's just not what I pictured lol.

I don't know if I'm in the position to give advice honestly, since Pickham's not too far from the beginning. As a matter of fact I think you can get to where I am in about 8-10 hours, but then again the game does force you to grind a bit so it could take longer. Anyway, for the time being and what I could remember, the alchemy pot is my/your best friend. I've been reading some skill builds at Gamefaqs... (>_>) Almost everyone is saying to stay away from Fisticuffs for Hero, Clubs for Yangus, Knives for Jessica and Charisma for Angelo. But for the most part we're in the same boat.

"Phoenix Down" So I finally got back to playing this game, although I don't know if this quarter for classes will allow me to play as much as I'd like to. (I know I'm gonna be graduating in December so time is starting to tick away) Anyway, this is my favorite rpg (with FF8 being 2nd), and even though it's my favorite I've yet to finish this game. I haven't even come close to finishing since the farthest I've gotten in this game is Pickham, which is where I'm currently at now trying to play Bingo... I hate it. It'd make even the most patient person break at some point. The reason I like this game so much is because of the gameplay.. So simple yet very deep. I'm still not so sure I really get most of it. I call myself following this walkthrough but I'm considering starting over yet again, mainly because of skill point distribution... I've been neglecting some skills that I had no idea they turned out to be pretty decent. Speaking of skill points, I'm fairly curious in what route did other people go? I'm thinking of going Swords, Boomerangs and Courage (just found out about Courage being pretty nifty) for the Hero. Axes, Fisticuffs and Humanity for Yangus. Whips, Staves and Sex Appeal for Jessica. And probably Swords/Bows and Staves for Angelo.

I can't believe I just sat and read all of this stuff.... Man, summer's not here and I'm already hating it. >_<

It depends on Kushina's personality for me. If she was rash and obnoxious like her son then I pass, but considering that it was stated that Naruto had a personality similar to that of Kushina... So with that in mind, both Naruto and Kushina act like Jiraya.... So I wouldn't want none of them as the main character.

So I recently watched Ninja Assassins and I can't really say that I enjoyed it much. From an action point, I thought it was both okay and crappy at the same time (I'm a very tough movie critic). On one hand the effects were decent, but those same effects kind of put me off as well, mainly when it came to these ninja's throwing these stars....
How the heck did that one guy survive that onslaught of stars yet everyone around him was dying...
Garbage. Like I said, I'm very tough on movies, even moreso than videogames and anime/manga. After seeing the Protector quite a few dozens of times I tend to compare most, if not, all my action movies (the ones that associate martial arts into the story) to that movie. So yeah, seeing these effects and whatnot really does nothing for me these days, especially when you can tell wires are being used. >_> Story..... Yeah, I'll get back to you on that. If I've noticed anything, it's that it's more cruel than satisfying. It was nice to see Sho Kasugi (sp?) after all these years though.

A slip in Urahara's otherwise perfect plotting or did Geta-Boshi know Kanonji was in no danger and would be there to save Ichigo when the need arose hmm ?
Nope.. It's Urahara, the man of mystery. But if you really want to look at it from that angle then the same can be asked about Urahara letting Ichigo go face Byakuya and Renji. Not to mention this whole Aizen ordeal. No warning or anything. He, Yoruichi and what's his name.... "Kido Man". They could've easily said "be on the lookout for a man named AIzen Sosuke" As for Don Kanonji. NOO!! I refuse to buy into wicked thoughts like that.

He monologues way to much, oh, and ITS ONE BIG, LAME, STUPID DREAM!
Way to spoil stuff. Anyway, I'm getting set to continue playing Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King. It's going to feel really weird playing that game again since it's been almost a year, and I don't know where I left off at, heh. (but I refuse to restart my game)
Likely Kurosaki isn't Isshin's real last name, or heck Isshin mightn't even be his own first name either. Remember when Ryuken called him "Kurosaki" at the hospital, Isshin's response was "That's the first time you've called me that." which would seem to indicate he's been calling him something else or maybe just Isshin all along before that. I still maintain he's a Shiba and the one responsible for the clan's fall from nobility, explains why Ichigo and Kaien look alike, why Isshin and Ganju look somewhat alike and why Kukaku looks like an older version of Karen.
Maybe you're right, but I'm still not convinced that he's a Shiba. (but then again I'm always terrible with these theories) I see Ryuken and Isshin's relationship like Uryu and Ichigo. The way I see it is Ryuken was calling Isshin every single derogatory name but never calling him by his official name, but that's just me there.
