I think the wide space isn't really going to change. Bigger avatars might make a slight difference, but mostly to the postbit itself. The overall width of the topic display is entirely dependent on how wide your browser window is. Still, we do now have more space to play with, so it's probably logical to increase the resolution of some of our graphics to keep up with the growing site resolution.
"Hi face, meet palm"... I have a wide monitor (it's like it can be a mini flat screen tv... 19 x 19 / 20 x 20... Browser just as frickin long) and that thought didn't cross my mind at all. But as I've stated it didn't really matter to me. I'm used to it
-
Part of me say yes go with some bigger avvies just to try and take away some of this wide space. The other part says it don't really matter since I'm used to wide forums.

Yeah, I did end up figuring it out a little bit before reading your post. Thanks a bunch though. I'll be looking forward to those tutorials lol. Especially when it comes to coloring people/characters
-
So I'm having tons of issues with something probably so simple within Photoshop right. Over the past couple of days I've been trying to toy with painting/coloring characters. Every time I choose a color it automatically goes to either gray, black or white. Never orange, red, or any of the other colors. What am I doing wrong here? Oh, I'm have CS4 PSP btw.

That's refreshing. So that boy that travels with the main character's not as bad as people are making him out to be? I was under the impression that he was almost as annoying as Shinji (EVA) and I dread that boy. I may check it out. Allanmorph, (don't want to sound like I'm advertising or anything) you can always try going to Manga Toshokan to read free manga.

So I've been watching sportscenter to find out about this blown call that an umpire did. I laugh everytime I watch the video because the pitcher's face goes from "YAY" to "_________" and he just smiles. I'm not heavy into baseball, but dang that was messed up. The dude above it all (I guess) won't overturn the call... I know how this is going to turn out... I really wanted to watch 1st and 10 (ESPN First Take) to see the reactions...
-
I thought about reading/watching this series, but I haven't bothered to because I keep hearing that the male lead is terrible. I'm interested because I've been looking for more series where female characters aren't portrayed as some damsel that dress trashy/slutty. (Psyren don't have any damsels, but the females in that dress like strippers lol)

Fairly simple What are some of the games you found to be difficult / overly challenging? What made them so difficult? If you could, would you change anything (outside of the difficulty level) to make it a less painful experience? (I think that's what I'm going for lol) As for me I don't really play games to look for that challenge these days. I've lost my competitiveness a long time ago. I mainly play games to relieve stress or anger. But there were a few games that I thought were pretty hard during my first experience with them. Ninja Gaiden 2 [Xbox 360] - Path of the Mentor it's definately a different experience compared to the levels before it, but it's also ridiculous. What made NG2 hard for me were the cheapness of some of the enemies you encounter. I think they're called tac ninja's... (The ones that throw explosive shuurikens[sp?]) and then the ones that have missle launchers. When they come at you, they don't let up. They come in swarms and starting off with level 1 weapons makes things really difficult because not only do you not have access to some of the better techniques, but you really have to be defensive and learn some of the i-frames or else you're gonna die, and die a lot. The camera also makes things hard to because there are a lot of off-screen attacks that you can't see until the last moment. The only thing I'd probably change is the the camera. Make it a little bit more like God of War's camera and I'd probably have an easier time in handling such situations. Hyper Street Fighter 2 Anniversary [Ps2] - Super Street Fighter 2 on this edition to be exact. The boss fight themselves weren't the hard part. The hard part is fighting T-hawk and Guile. Never anyone else. It's like as soon as I get to one or the other, everything just ramps up. Their attacks go through everything and they block every single attack. Oh, here's the kicker. I set the difficulty to 1 star. (easiest difficulty) Capcom was smoking on something here. I'd change that difficulty issue. If I set it to the easiest level I expect to be able to fly through these characters dangit. Dead or Alive 4 [Xbox 360] - Speaking of blocking every single attack.... This game is the epitomy of ridiculous. They block and nearly reverse every thing you throw at them. And then the final boss fight.... Yeah, she can knock of half your health bar in about 2-3 strikes... Team Ninja really took the fun out of this series when they did this game.. (sorry was going on a rant) I'd change the reversal system period or add an "easy" difficulty. >_>
I'd like to see Tessai show up and have him and Hachi take over the healing so the team heading to Soul Society is effectively Isshin, Ichigo, Unohana and possibly Urahara and Yoruichi (Maybe Ryuuken too if he shows up). I just don't want to see the entire cast head off again to Soul Society or it'll be another four years before we finish this arc.
Yeah, I also don't want to see the whole cast going to SS. I'd probably take about 2-3 captains (2-3 captains behind Shunsui, Unohana and possibly Ukitake) plus Shinji and leave the rest behind. (Of course I'd have Urahara and Yoruichi come along too) Vice captains shouldn't have been there from the get-go IMO. Speaking of such VC's, where did that no name VC of the 1st division run off to? Last time he was seen was when the Vaizards showed up.
My big problem is that so many of the fights felt contrived or plotkai'd, almost every one of the Espada seemed to be matched up with an opponent that had specific abilities to defeat them, Szayel and Mayuri, Nnoitra and Kenpachi, Byakuya and Zommari, Halibel and Hitsugaya, Stark and Kyouraku the latter two were particularly frustrating to read. Soifon/Hachigen and Barragan was probably the most even fight, but even Hachi's ability to teleport a piece of his own body inside Barragan came off as cheap, I mean why didn't he just teleport Soifon's cruise missile inside him ? Ichigo's fights weren't too bad, but still relied a little too much on last minute power-ups for me. The Espada went from being "Shit this guy just tore Ichigo a new one and he's a captain-class fighter" to "Ho-hum, Espada huh ? Probably don't need to go past shikai for this". Then we got to boring invincible villain Aizen who single-handed pwned every Shinigami with the exception of Yama, then got a power-up and proceeded to do the same again. Maybe it's reading Psyren where the fights all seem to have much better pacing, but I'm really hoping the next arc goes back to the Soul Society arc style of having just a couple of characters and focusing on them. The extermination of the Espada seems to have been "Damn, got waaaay too many characters to deal with and still have to introduce Division 0 and Royal Family and possibly Vasto Lordes, need to kill off a bunch of characters really quickly!". Heck despite having the manga focus on characters aside from Ichigo and co for weeks we fought out SFA about most of them. /End Rant
I won't deny that almost every fight felt contrived. For Zommari to get matched up against Byakuya was just a case of bad luck or something... But because it was Byakuya and I like to see him dominate, I can't really say anything negative about the fight outside of Zommari. Halibel and Hitsugaya, as I've mentioned countless times before was probably the biggest copout ever done by Kubo (I'm still bitter about that). Stark being taken down with just a shikai still don't sit well with me. Don't get me wrong though, I completely understand why you and other people are so disappointed with this arc. (And I do as much complaining as the next person lol) But I was still entertained by majority of the fights. The only fights I didn't really care for were Soifon and Barragan, VC's and Allon, Ishida, Renji, Mayuri vs Szayael and then there's the former espada fights. Psyren... Let's just say I have Psyren outclassing all 3 big shonen series by a large margin.

A little bit of topic thievery today.
It is no secret that in the world of manga / anime there are many male characters that have long hair, wear makeup, and some even wear a female top. And some effeminate characters as well. There is a difference between looking like a girl and being effeminate in my opinion. For example, Umichika from Bleach is one of the more effeminate characters ever, and I have no trouble telling that is a guy. There are some that does fall into both categories. What characters did you at first look either mistake for a girl or had to look twice to be sure?
Akari (Samurai Deeper Kyo) - He hasn't appeared in the anime, at least I don't think he has. (I stopped watching way early) But seeing him in the manga, I swear had they not mentioned that he was a man I wouldn't have ever guessed it. Souji Okita (Peacemaker) - The way he carries himself in peaceful moments.... If I were never told that he was Okita I would've never guessed it. (I better be on guard with Hakuouki... It's a lot of guys in the series.) Haku (Naruto) - Don't think I need to say anything here.

A motorcycle!
Let's see. I started December 2008 and graduate December 2010 (YES!!!) and I've only seen 1 motorcycle at that school. But I do want a motorcycle though I'll get one eventually.
And they all say that the teachera and such are like family! Why would television lie to us all?!
Teachers are nice as can be but some of their teaching methods are garbage. The main problem with the school I'm at is equipment. Being in a Computer Drafting program you'd think they'd give us a laptop or the programs that's required since most of our work is done on the computer. Noooo, all we get is some hand drafting kit with some scales and pencils that we only used for one class (ONE FRICKIN CLASS). After you pass that class that drafting kit is useless. I'll stop there before I go on a huge rant... (And please don't say I can always transfer.... Grr.... )

Ought to be an interesting conversation. Got the idea from this article. http://www.toonzone.net/blog/blogs/228/why-youre-killing-anime/ (I'm still trying to figure out the whole "url" thing) I thought the article was an interesting read. It basically talks about how the hardcore/elitist fans could be driving away the casual fans with there attitudes towards dubs/subs (and other things) and whatnot. It goes into DVD purchases which I really can't speak on since I don't really buy anime or manga. (Gotta put my money elsewhere at the moment) I really found this one snippet intriguing:
What I am deriding here is the general attitude of the anime fan. This is what is destroying the anime you love, both here and in Japan. Fandom too often gets embroiled in its own inflexible and unnecessary arguments. People often get wrapped up in their own communityĆ¢??s culture for a given series that they forget people on the outside may be incredibly turned off by this kind of behavior. Because the Internet is cut off from actual reality, those fanatics forget the impression they may be making on those who come upon their posts or rants. Fiercely dedicated fandom has simultaneously kept anime alive while being an accomplice to its downfall.
I find this intriguing because I just recently dropped Naruto (One Piece is teetering on this point as well) for this exact reason. I know I shouldn't let the fandom dictate what I watch/read, but sometimes when you try to hold a casual conversation and people wanna act like a series is soooo perfect, has no flaws and bite your head off/get all uptight for not liking certain aspects of it, it ultimately caused me to lose interest and quit the series. The same thing can be said about the DB franchise for me. Every once in a while I would have a tendency just to go back and watch it just because, but ever since I started going to this other forum and ran into this DBZ elitist, saying "it should be watched this way", always whining about how Funi butchered it, I've lost any and all interest I once had for the series. (Trying to get into DBZ: Kai has been brutal since all I can imagine is how this elitist rambles about what's been edited and how much of a "new" experience it is) So what about you? (I'm probably alone here though) Have fans ever gotten so far under your skin till they turned you away from a series?
Anyways, it seems to me like all the Soul Society is out of defenders that actually count so unless they set up some bad ass barrier that can buy them enough time for Unahona and Hachi to heal everyone up for round two it looks like Aizen is going to get his key and all those side characters that are snoozing in the town are gonna bite the dust. Then we get to be introduced to the 0 Division and the Royal Family and hopefully we will get some explanation as to why Aizen is doing what he's doing.
I can definately see Bleach heading in that direction. With Unohana (why didn't she get any panel time? More unimportant characters got panel time and she didn't) and Hachi around I definately see a round 2 coming. I'm wondering, had the captains been at full power (fighting the espada definately put them at a set back going against Aizen) would they got better shots in because I just can't see Shunsui going down to Aizen so quickly and he's the most experienced (in the 1st group that was fighting Aizen). I'd imagine he'd give him more of a run for his money.
Kinda curious about Isshin telling Ichigo to open the Senkai gate, we've never seen Ichigo even hint he had the ability to open a gateway and really as Isshin is the veteran Shinigami here you'd think he'd be the one to do it. Seems that it's only going to be Isshin and Ichigo going to Soul Society too by the way he was talking.
Err... I kind of have Matsumoto tagging along with them. Her getting up and running around can't be for nothing. (It better not be) I kinda want to say that I see Unohana going as well. I've heard some rumors stating that Unohana is gonna be fighting, so.. yeah.
Thank God at least this arc is over, Fake Karakura has been one long drawn-out disappointment with terrible pacing.
Hmm. Yes, I'm glad this arc seems to be done with. Definately some disappointments. (Top 3 espada, Yama-ji, only 2 bankai's revealed.) Up and down rollercoaster moments, but I did enjoy the fights and characters, and for me that's what ultimately matters. If I don't enjoy the fights then we have a problem.

That is what I go through. Never, EEEEVER go to ITT-Tech.

In fact you're tragically dead right, only it's worse because I heard them banging off about it in person. *sob* Generally I dislike DARK SIDE VERSIONS OF YOU and pretty much the only time I did like it was in Prince of Persia, and that was only raw sexual appeal. Naruto alas has none of this and instead, yeah, probably spent too much time reading Make Out Tactics instead of how to suppress evil inside of you.
Seriously? 1500? How big is that place then? (I'd imagine there are more people than that when it comes to conventions) So it's safe to assume that the Naruto fan crowd is pretty much the majority of everyone that's there? "cringes" Ouch... You win. I just deal with it on the internet, but I can just imagine the pain you go through at those conventions.

It's that time of the year again... Well, almost. E3 is right around the corner. I think it starts on the 15th. Anything you're anticipating or exciting to see more details about? Honestly, I haven't been keeping up with the games like I usually do so I'm pretty behind on what to expect. I heard about the Nintendo 3DS, which I can't say that I'm anticipating all that much. (Hey, I'm still anti-Nintendo although I do own a DS) I guess it depends on the games that's coming to that thing. I also heard about a new God of War game that's suppose to be making an appearance. I haven't played GoW3 yet but I am curious about this one. Overall though, from off the top of my head the only games I'm really interested in seeing (I'll probably catch each event a day later since I go to class at night) are Final Fantasy XIII Versus (however that's suppose to go), Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Marvel vs Capcom 3. (I still need to get a ps3 so I can play MGS4 and SF4/SSF4) Your thoughts and stuff.

Essentially, I've officially given up on Naruto, but I do have to admit that is quite a twist. However, I'm definately hoping that she's not the ninetails like some people have alluded to.

I won't say too much about this spoiler, but I will say this much. Kubo's gotta stop with these off-screen/panel beatings. They don't do anything but make me feel as if he's trying to rush stuff. I wanna see how they were defeated.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I tried to watch Dragonball Z: Kai on Nicktoons a couple times. Not to rag on the series or anything, but it really is hard to get back into this series. I probably would've been able to had they actually have the artwork/animation look similar to how they have the intro. I was also hoping for something new, but it's the same story just trimmed to 100 episodes and probably better colors and new voices here and there (I guess). While I'm already teetering towards not watching it anymore I am fairly curious about what's been taken out so I may skip a dozen episodes before coming back to it and dropping it afterwards lol.
