So far, it seems to be on par with the original series. I won't say it's a flaw just yet, but this one seems to be more comedic than the original, and while I don't mind comedy, too much of it is a turn off for me, especially if it's not funny to begin with. Not saying that it hasn't been funny, I'm just taking caution now. [b]Samurai Champloo[/b] (vol. 1) - It seems like it's been forever since I've last watched this. I finally got in the habit of renting anime through blockbuster. I forgot all about the 2nd episode... [spoiler]That bird stole their food. "Err. THAT DAMN BEAST JUST JACK MY GRUB! (middle finger in the air) :laugh:[/spoiler] If there's gotta be comedy in my anime I definately prefer it to be on the level of Samurai Champloo. Good stuff. Anyway, I definately like the twists that's been coming up as of late, although, it can get predictable at times with the foreshadowing that goes on. Like the characters in One Piece except Yuya [spoiler](I was actually happy that she got stuck down)[/spoiler], they continue to excel. This series definately needs a FMA:B reboot, and needs to be handled by one of the better animation producers out there. The anime does this no justice at all. [b]One Piece[/b] (ch. 576) - This entire arc's been a bumpy ride for me, but overall it's been pretty good. There were some great moments, and then there were moments that just made no sense. Some of the results left a bad taste in my mouth, almost making this arc feel like a waste of time. [/rant] That's enough of that. The latest chapter was probably the best chapter in this entire arc. If there would be one that can top it, I'd say [spoiler]Whitebeard's arrival[/spoiler]. You just won't get another entrance like that again. Bleach and Naruto... Blah, blah, the usual stuff, although Bleach continues to go on this bumpy ride as well. Naruto has taken another downward turn. [/size][/color]

I'm one of those that tries to get into some of those games that has a lot of mythology in it, but at the same time my conscience tends to get in the way :p. Take Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne for instance. I would love to finish playing this game one day, but teamming up with a demon name Lucifer just don't sit well with. (I'm a church guy but I am open to a lot of those games) I found out that the game has a lot of indian mythology in it and gets me thinking about a lot, and it tend to get pretty scary at times :D. The only game I can really play that deals with mythology with a clear cut conscience is God of War. Anything dealing with that spartan type stuff never does much for me. Now even though I'm like that don't mean I have something against mythology in games lol. I do still intend on getting and finishing the SMT games if my conscience will let me lol. But yeah, mythology in general, if handled well can be pretty good.[/size][/color]

The movements are fluid like I'd want them to be but everything moves at a fast pace and has a lot of intensity in it. Unfortunately, that's pretty much the only reason I've been watching it. [u]Negatives[/u] [i]Characters[/i] - When it comes to the leaf village, Kakashi is the only draw point for me, and he's been reduced to being just a side character. And since the series focal point is basically always on the leaf village, it's hard for me to get any enjoyment. The side characters (those who aren't from the leaf) and villains are the real stars in this series. I find them to be a lot more entertaining than everyone from the leaf. Characters from the leaf ranges from boring to annoying (except Kakashi. He's always cool) [i]Naruto[/i] - I know, I could've talked about him in the characters part, but I have a lot to say about him that he deserves a section of his own. Now, it don't matter to me whether people like the knucklehead / underdog role, but for me I absolutely hate that role. (It's been done to death and I'm sick of it) To make matters worst he's naive. Real naive. [spoiler]This guy is chasing Sasuke, trying to keep him from going the path he's going, and almost ended up dead both times, yet he's still claiming that he's his friend.[/spoiler] Some people may call that being very loyal. I call that absolute BS. Nobody in their right mind would continue with that garbage. I'll stop there with him because anything further is pertaining to the manga, and the anime hasn't showed it yet. [i]Sasuke[/i] - I don't mind Sasuke at all, but when you focus on him for so long it becomes annoying. It's like the story should just be called Sasuke now. My God, I once remember hearing it being underrated, or rather I remember there was a time where it get trashed quite a bit. I never thought there'd be a day where I find a group of fans I couldn't stand any more than NGE and Naruto, but this group pushed me past my limit of being able to tolerate them. [size=1][color=darkred]It's cool. And I'm fairly certain we've been down this road once before, and while I can't speak for anyone else. For me when it comes to this series the negatives outweighs its positives. The only time I'm actually impressed with this series is during the fights. I enjoyed Sasuke's fight with Danzo as well as Raikage and Killer Bee. It's everything else that tends to wear itself thin with me, and it's not because I don't get it, I just have no interest in it. The plot points just don't interest me anymore. (I think I lost interest in story after Itachi kicked the bucket) Why am I still reading it then? I will admit that Kishi is doing something right to keep me coming back everytime I drop it, but at the same time Kishi has run out of likeable characters for me. Kakashi's the only one I'm backing now (especially since I don't think we'll see Raikage, Bee and Mizukage for a while), so it's a good chance I'll be dropping this one for good soon. (Depending on how things play out) I don't think anybody is denying that Naruto has matured. In fact I believe everyone wanted that. It's just now this obsessiveness over Sasuke is what's killing him, but then again I've never liked Naruto since the very 1st chapter/episode. I have a natural hate for him, and pretty much any and everything he does won't fly with me. I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing the positives, but like I said before, there hasn't been anything positive for me outside of the fighting. And as long as Naruto continues to go on about saving Sasuke, the more I'm gonna dog it. :devil:[/strike] I had more to say, but it's late and I'm having brain farts. Betrayal is a hard thing to get over, and trust is an even harder thing to gain once one betrays another. To have everyone just forgive and forget after what Sasuke's done would be really crappy (and I would never read or watch another product of Kishi). And having Naruto forcing this on everyone to accept is just pissing me off to no end. And even if Naruto does succeed in getting through to Sasuke, like I said, I just don't see nor will I accept it if he's welcomed back to the leaf. A happy ending like that is just piss poor. (I'm hearing that Kishi said that this will have a happy ending) A more suitable ending, at least to me would be for Sasuke to be a rogue ninja that does good or something along those lines. He has the pressence of a bad###. I'm pretty curious to find out what happened to Megallan. I mean I can guess that he was defeated, but I want to see it. Whitebeard, without a doubt is the man. Best character in One Piece. Now all that's needed is an epic moment from Shanks as well as Dragon. If I get that I'd probably have high hopes in One Piece again. (Not taking anything away from the series or anything because it definately out shines both Bleach and Naruto, but I do feel like with this arc that it's fallen into a bit of a slump) Anyway, like I said, I'm probably having these issues because I'm still bitter over Ace lol. I want to see him use everything he's got. Not to take anything away from Aizen's thinking and whatnot. I favor people that're tactical during fights. But for this fight it's like Kubo is just teasing me because he knows that I want to see bankai along with other abilities. But yeah, take away ones abilities it's like the fight becomes a lot more boring. The last thing I want to see in Bleach is a fistfight while everyone else is using weapons... [/size][/color]
