[quote name='Gavin'][SIZE=1]Bah, your continued heresy is regrettable but if I went and purged you then I'd have nobody to discuss Bleach or Naruto with so I'm just going to have to fill every post from now on with a subtle loathing of the very fibre of your being. Personally I've always liked Rukia, she's got a fire to her while at the same time being reasonably grown up in a shounen manga. Now if they didn't keep bringing up the creepy Chappy fascination that'd be nice.[/SIZE][/QUOTE] [size=1][color=darkred]LOL!!! How about this? Unless someone bring Toushiro up (or he does something in upcoming chapters) we won't speak about him? (One thing I won't do is brag about him like so many other people do, and besides, he hasn't reached Byakuya or Ulquiorra's status to be bragged about) Rukia, I don't know, I think it was the anime that ruined her for me (dub). 1st episode she just sounded like an idiot for some reason. (Maybe it was her voice actor... I can't explain it) And ever since then I couldn't get into her character.[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]Alrighty. I'm glad I held out on watching the subbed version of Brotherhood since I'm a fan of the dub. I think it's good that they air the repeats at 4 a.m. because I certainly ended up going to sleep before it even came on. With that said I thought that was a nice way to kick off a first episode. There was a lot of action to keep me entertained, and a lot of characters introduced so early, which I find pretty shocking given the fact that in the original anime it took a bit for the main players to get involved... (Seriously, I was not expecting to see Kimblee this early) Voice acting was fairly decent although I do feel like some of their delivery was on the weak side. Armstrong, Mustang and possibly Al (who sounded like they had some lisp action going on) just didn't hit well with me. And I really hope that changes later on, especially for Mustang since his V/A was the main reason why he was my favorite character. I also thought Ed sounded a little on the weak side as well, but he didn't stand out like the 3 I mentioned. Art, I definately give to the original anime. I like the look of the character models in the 2003 version over this one. Perhaps it'll take some time getting used to, but don't get me wrong, I still like how it looks. The models sort of look a little bit like Soul Eaters models. Animation was great. Nice flashy backgrounds with bright colors. Overall I thought it was a good episode. I probably won't watch the next episode since I don't feel like bothering with how the brothers ended up like the way they are again. I thought it was boring then and I think it'll be boring now. Title change or should this post go into the actual thread?[/size][/color]

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Magus replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
[size=1][color=darkred]It really depends on the other 2 series AS got before I jump back on board. (If one of those is Inuyasha then I won't be on board since I don't care for it) The late airing of Moribito and the repeats of series I've gotten tired of seeing or have on tape already put me off. But then again I haven't really supported CN/AS as a whole since the lost of Toonami. (Haven't watched much of anything in a long time on that channel outside of FMA this morning.[/size][/color] -
[size=1][color=darkred]Haha. It's better than me liking Orihime or Rukia. The day I ever like those 2 will be the day I slit my wrist. Toushiro has some redeemable qualities, at least for me anyway. (For one, he's a child that's not a loud mouth and he has a backbone) Like I said, he's actually never done anything for me to hate/dislike him. His fandom are the ones who made me sick of him.[/size][/color]
-
[size=1][color=darkred]Dang, Aizen = epic. I once mentioned that I never hated Toushiro, but couldn't figure out why people supported him the way they do. Over the latest chapters (even though some of the things he said to Aizen had me rolling my eyes, and being able to keep up with Halibel don't sit well with me) I've actually grown to like him more. Not a top favorite, but I do like him now. (At least more than the primary characters)[/size][/color]

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements

[size=1][color=darkred]I do agree a bit. 2 hours of Bleach... An hour is fine, but 2 is ridiculous. But I'm hearing that Bleach has some decent ratings so "shrugs" can't fault them for expanding the episodes. Don't need FLCL anymore (I hate that show) I do wish they would put Samurai Champloo back on though. (At least on demand)[/size][/color] -
[size=1][color=darkred]I saw it at One Manga. First time I was reading a different translation.[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]That was indeed a sad chapter, but seeing Luffy's face at the end made it hard to take everything seriously. This is why I hate OP artwork. It's so quirky till you can't take serious moments seriously because of it wacky look.[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred][strike]"Gah" Die skank![/strike] [/evilness] Sakura's not a good liar at all. (And she's an idiot) What's even more upsetting is that she's just a boring/annoying character making it even more impossible for me to get anything out of the chapter. Oh great, Naruto is going to the scene.... Knew that was gonna happen, but still, I hate him too lol.[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]This chapter was also great for me. Aizen is just a straight up pimp. Like the captains, though, I'm also wondering when did he have a chance to use Kyoka Suigetsu. I am aware that it is possible to release a zanpakuto without calling its name, but still I'd like to know when. Then again, it could've been ever since he offed Halibel. I must be going blind or something because I didn't see anything about Kubo going on break, but I'll take your word for it since your the 2nd person to say it.[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]To be honest I've yet to read any spoiler for this week. I've only seen pictures. I just keep hearing people being going on and on about Karin being alive. [IMG]http://i46.tinypic.com/wtanop.jpg[/IMG][IMG]http://i46.tinypic.com/2m3o3e0.jpg[/IMG][IMG]http://i50.tinypic.com/4ut3ep.jpg[/IMG][/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]My interest has not been rekindled at all even I did like the Sasuke and Danzo fight. I'm hearing that Karin's alive... Why? She's a pointless character and she just don't need to be around anymore dangit. If Kishi's about to turn this into another Dragonball where no one stays dead then I might as well get ready to drop this [strike]for good[/strike] again.[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]I don't really drink pop too much anymore, but I will always like Dr. Pepper.[/color][/size]

[size=1][color=darkred]http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp160/Daxdiv/luffyweirdface2.png What. The. Hell? Edit: Removed the [img] tag since it's related to the new chapter. Wasn't aware that the forum wouldn't hide images when you wrap spoiler tags around them.[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]Early spoilers although some are saying they might be fake. [quote=ShadowGun@toonzone][spoiler]- Ichigo is stunned. He yells at "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" - The Soul Reapers are wondering what Ichigo talking about. - Turn out the combine attack from the previous chapter wasn't use on Aizen. - It is reveal that Hitsugaya actually stab Momo. Hitsugaya is horrified. - There some spoiler that mention suicide but it isn't very clear.[/spoiler][/quote] ****!!!!!! I knew it was gonna turn out to be an illusion, but I did not expect that at all. I'll wait for further spoiler info or the actual release of the chapter before saying what I really want to say. But if that is indeed true, my faith in Kubo has been restored, just a little.[/size][/color]

[quote name='Ace'][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]I'm watching some of my favorite One Piece moments on Hulu now thanks to FUNimation's dub uploads. I'd never seen some of them in anime form before, and I gotta say, it's kind of impressive. You can tell the voice actors really put their hearts into the dub, and the final product is really impressive. Somehow, hearing the lines out loud just seems to make them carry more weight. I still hate fillers, though.[/FONT][/QUOTE] [size=1][color=darkred]What episodes were you watching because I tried watching some of the earlier episodes and found the FUNi dub, well, it wasn't bad, but it was just dull. I don't look for voice actors to fit the original voices. I look for them to fit their characters, and I got that from nobody, which ultimately caused me to stop watching the series. (I still read it for sure though) Of course that's not the only reason I dropped it though. But yeah, most, if not all the voices I heard sounded as if they were trying to force everything. In terms of dubs I pretty much have the same problem with this as I do with Naruto and Bleach dubs. (I skipped a lot of episodes though. Out of all the episodes that're out I might've seen about maybe 5 of them. And the last one I saw was Luffy in Logue town on the execution platform) [/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]You're not alone there Gavin. While I am a fan of football, I can never sit down to watch a full game for nothing. But I do get my updates by watching the espn channel though. Anyway, I didn't watch the game (honestly, I'm more of a NBA fan over NFL), and I was rooting for both teams actually since I like Peyton Manning, but I do think New Orleans definately deserved it more. (Besides, they got the best colors in the NFL :)) They been through a lot and last I recall they haven't won much of anything. (While the Hornets are doing pretty decent, I don't think they're as nearly as good as last season) But yeah, congrats Saints. [quote name='chibi-master]But [b]hoo-rah[/b'] for the winning team, I guess. [/quote] Everytime I see that word it seems like marine corp talk. (I think the sayin I'm thinking of, though, is "ooh-rah")[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]I'm on my eight week (only 10 weeks in a quarter), but unfortunately we won't be getting our 2 week break. With all the breaks we had and whanot. And now the weather folk are talking about 6-10 inches of snow come this Tuesday into Wednesday. I wanted a snow day, but dangit, I don't want to have to make up 2 classes now.[/size][/color]

[quote name='Miss Anonymous']Have you seen the "epic" review they did for DB:E on TGWTG.com? It was pretty high-larious, let me tell ya.[/QUOTE] [size=1][color=darkred]No I haven't. I usually stay away from movie reviews, but I'll give it a whirl.[/size][/color] [QUOTE=Sangome]Me and my friend watched DB Evolution when it came out on DVD...she loves DBZ, I hate it. Needless to say, we both hated it, but dang. Even I felt insulted watching that.[/QUOTE] [size=1][color=darkred]While I don't hate DBZ, I can't get into anymore. Outside of Future Trunks I can't stand any of the characters. I used to like all of the Saiyans (sp?), but after watching newer series and whatnot, and then coming back to DBZ I really can't stand pretty much anybody from it.[/size][/color]
-
[size=1][color=darkred]So... My dad decided to leave Dragonball: Evolution on this tv.... It's been about 5 maybe 10 minutes since I've took a glance at it. And now I'm about to change the channel. This crap is horrible.[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]Wha..? WHAT!?[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]I enjoyed this chapter. It's definately an illusion, but I think as long as Shinji and Shunsui remains alive (I think they're the strongest 2 out of the bunch that's fighting Aizen at the moment) Aizen has to remain on guard (perhaps even if he release his bankai). To me, they proved that if that old geezer don't step in they can be the deciding factors of this fight. (Along with Ichigo of course)[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]I'm actually a little speechless at the moment. I do agree that this whole war almost feels pointless, but at the same time I just don't know. I hear that Oda stated that this was just the midpoint of this story. So to have the marines actually win the war is seeable. I was wondering how was the marines going to bounce back if they lost, so in a sense it was a smart move to have the marines win... I guess lol. [spoiler]But if this is the end of Ace, I'd be really disappointed.[/spoiler] But I do feel that this chapter was a little on the weak side. (Bleach might've had the strongest chapter this week for me)[/size][/color]

[quote name='Sangome'][FONT="Microsoft Sans Serif"][SIZE="1"]Now I know a lot of people have been watching it subbed online, whether through Funi's simulcast or otherwise, but for someone like me who absolutely loved the dub of the original series, this will be more than worth the wait. So for those of you that waited, happy Valentines Day indeed. And for the others, well, don't spoil![/SIZE][/FONT][/QUOTE] [size=1][color=darkred]I'm pretty certain everyone saw this coming. Anyway, I'm also one of those that enjoys the english dub of the original series. I'm also glad I decided to hold out on watching Brotherhood too. This actually gives me a reason to watch Adult Swim again. Hopefully they don't do those crappy timeslots though.[/size][/color]

[size=1][color=darkred]Yes, officially no more Karin. That boost Sasuke up a bit in terms of likability... "coughs" Turned the little twit into quite the cold fish lol. Edit: Having read the chapter, Sakura is truly an idiot. Is she trying to win noble points for trying to go in a losing battle? She saw that Madara couldn't be touch yet she was about to try and put her best chances of escaping death to sleep.... Foolish girl. She's suppose to be one of the smart ones yet she's just as dumb as other idiots in this series.[/size][/color]
