I also expect it to be an illusion (come on, we've seen Renji release his zanpakuto without calling its name), and even though this chapter seems to cater to Toushiro, and is awfully chatty, I do like the way it sounds. Using abilities together and whatnot. And yet, no help from that old hippy still puzzles me. I don't know who I hate more, him or Orihime now.

No worries. Thank you very much :).

Oh my. Never came across my mind to have someone use that picture of Byakuya looking like he's soaking in the rain. One problem though. There's no "n" in Magus. :)

This is like my 4th-5th revision. 01. Ghost in the Shell series - I have to see the movies, but I love both S.A.C seasons as well as Solid State Society. I'm gonna echo some bits from Kona-Moe's post. Mixing in action and mystery is always a nice thing because I like a lot of "who did it" or "how they did it (Ocean's Eleven)" films. The philisophical points are definately worth mentioning because of the comparisons they usually do which usually relates to real world stuff. It definately does make you think, but I normally don't care for stuff like that. The characters, while none are really exciting, they are great nonetheless. And again, the action is nicely animated. Speaking of animation, I compare almost everything to this in terms of animation, especially when people say _____ has the best animation. I also have no intentions of watching this in Japanese. The dub is just too good, and to try to follow an informative series like this with subtitles is a no-no for me. 02. Cowboy Bebop - Believe it or not, the first episode I saw was the very last episode, and it was also the hooking point as well. I just had to see it from the beginning. This is the first anime I've seen where the entire cast was likable, but Spike and Vicious ultimately being the favorites of the series. The animation is top notch as well as the voice acting. Another series I wouldn't watch in Japanese. Favorite episodes mainly involved the storylines involving Spike because his are more action oriented. I also like the episode where
food was attacking everyone
. 03. Black Lagoon - I think I've said this before but anytime a series start out with someone getting a punch to the face, I know I'm going to be in for a treat. The characters are great with Rock being a real surprise. A guy like him I'd usually end up hating because they're usually so wimpy that it gets annoying.
But the guy stood up to a hotheaded girl with an itchy trigger finger
. Speaking of that girl, Revy and Balalaika are some awesome women. I know it sounds kind of demented for me to like some bloodthirsty females, but you have no idea how sick and tired I am of seeing women portrayed as frail damsels as main characters no less. It's great to finally see some strong women for a change. This is my replacement when I usually finish watch Cowboy Bebop. Black Lagoon has it's funny moments as well. (Involving the maid lol) 04. Samurai Champloo - Like Zen, I'm a fan of martial arts and hip hop (on some ocassions). I'm even more of a fan of samurai. (Samurai themed series are what I look for first and foremost) After watching the fight between Jin and Mugen in the very first episode I was pretty much hooked to the series. Of course Mugen and Jin are my favorite characters. The way Mugen acts is how I usually prefer my comedy. My favorite episode is still the episode with the female kunoichi.
I WANT MY NOOKIE!!!!!
05. Fullmetal Alchemist - Finally started to learn how to enjoy the series. Despite me hating Ed and Al the other characters make up for it. The action/animation, and the rest of the characters are why I like this series. Roy Mustang is my favorite out of the bunch though. For him to be so cool-headed and calm, one would not even expect the reactions he gives. They caught me off-guard big time, and I like it. Again, it's always great to see a series that has some strong women in it. Hawkeye, Lust and Izumi are some of the greatest female characters I've seen in all the anime I've seen. (Major Kusanagi remains in the #1 spot though) That's it for now. I'll come back with 6-10 a little later. My list has gone through quite a change.

I can always go for some recommendations for the Dreamcast since my library was relatively small as well. I "had" Shenmue, NBA2K1, NFL2K, Soul Calibur, King of Fighters (99 I think), and Ready 2 Rumble. Out of those games I've only played Shenmue, NBA2K1 and Soul Calibur numerous times with Shenmue being played the most. For some reason it just gives off a tranquil tone that puts me at ease every time I play it, and there are no other games that does that for me. (Okami might be another but I haven't played a lot of it) My brother and I (....) had a lot of fun when it came to Soul Calibur since we'd usually go toe-to-toe. His character of choice was Maxi and mine was Kilik. And we would just go at it. I don't know what happened with the later games in the series. My brother stopped playing and I grew to hate the rest of them games... I was quite a force with the NBA2K games. Of course I never really challenged myself and set the difficulty to it's hardest, but I knew when I won by 100 pts against my brother that I could do some damage. Give or take we both had created characters, but he constantly went for 3 pointers and that kept getting on my nerves. We've also rented a couple of games as well. Power Stone and Dead or Alive 2. Power Stone, till this day would be what I want all my fighting games to be like. I love it when you can use the environment as a weapon. Kicking through walls, off of buildings is ok, but being able to slide/fling chairs at your opponent, roll over tables like a Jackie Chan movie made the game even more awesome. It's sad too, that a lot of these creators aren't implementing any of these things into their games. They continue to stick with throwing/knocking people throw walls and off of buildings and that stuff is old and boring. The only reason I'd choose Street Fighters over Power Stone is because SF has more memorable/iconic characters. Also, I believe this was the only game I've played where my brother was actually better than me at. Dead or Alive 2 was also a great experience for my siblings and I (......). Got my sister in on the game, but it was basically me and my brother going at it. My choice was Ein while his was Jane Lee. Seeing people go off of buildings was great, and even now it's still good, but all of it is growing old, but Team Ninja deserves credit because at least they are implementing more environmental fighting than other 3D games. One game I'd like to give another go would be Dynamite Cop. I hardly remember the game, but I do remember having fun with it. I think I recall there being QTE's in that game as well. Had I known Marvel vs Capcom 2 was on the Dreamcast early I would've saved my money and brought it. And comparing the price of it now to the ps2 and Xbox, the Dreamcast version is the cheapest from what I've seen. I also would like to get my hands on Skies of Arcadia as well as Grandia just to see what's all the rage about them. It really sucks that my brother don't know how to take care of anything. (The Dreamcast was his) He left it lying around on the floor collecting dirt till it don't even work anymore. I would love to get my hands on another Dreamcast along with Shenmue again because I am definately lacking my tranquil experience right now, and I've been needing it over the past few years. (No job, no money) If you can't tell I really liked the Dreamcast. (2nd to the ps2)
Chuck Norris jokes originated mostly from his stint as and on Walker, Texas Ranger, where he basically solved everything with a roundhouse kick to the face at some point in the episode. He became the iconic All-American Badass by virtue of his inexplicable aptitude for thwarting anything and everything, as well as his beard. And also everyone who tells them knows how absolutely asinine they are, which is why they're funny.
Really? Funny? Even after that explanation I still don't see what's so funny about them. "shrugs" Guess I lack that funny bone everyone else has.

One thing I don't think I'll ever understand are the Chuck Norris jokes. It's like they came out of nowhere or something. I've seen it from random people on the internet and I've seen it on Attack of the Show (stopped watching that a long time ago) a couple of times. There's gotta be something I'm missing here. Why has he been getting so much flak over the years? I'm assuming it has something to do with Return of the Dragon (Bruce Lee movie)? Edit: Holy crap. 5 years... I joined back in Oct of 2005. Good God time flies.

Honestly, I think I'd actually prefer to have 'Oh Canada' in my head over 'Pants on the Ground' because I don't know 'Oh Canada'. :animeswea

I was intending on doing this at the beginning of this month, but couldn't make up my mind on who I wanted to start out with. Kick off this year with the good ol favorite Byakuya. As far as backgrounds goes, just have fun with it. One rule though. I know it suits him because of his zanpakuto, but please, no pink. I prefer you to use red, blue, white, or purple if you must. Nothing specific for font. Text, as usual I'd just like to have my name somewhere. I'd like to keep both the siggy and avy within OB's size limit. Thanks in advance to whoever does this. Just some random pictures I found if needed. Feel free to use your own pics as well.

After all the whole Impel Down incident and now this Rescue Ace incident, I'm wondering how much will Luffy's head be worth. Gotta be well into the $500 mil mark.
My best guess is that the next move will be for
Pops' orphans
to take Luffy back to pick up his crew, then they'll probably escort Thousand Sunny across the Red Line.
That's a lot of stops to be made. Not to mention they gotta pick up the boat itself. I wonder if it's still at that Arch-thingy place.

Dagflammit. That stupid pants on the ground crap from American Idol is stuck in my head. Killing part is that I don't even watch the show, but the news tends to play that stuff regularly.

20 chapters in... That takes me back seeing how I thought the early chapters were pretty slow. I didn't really get hooked until
Sanji
(I'll use spoiler for now) came into it. (The 40-50's I believe) Edit: The ch. spoiler was partially correct, but most of it was wrong. _____________________ Thought I'd try to revive this since it's pretty much underappreciated. (Which is understandable in a sense) Anyway, this entire arc has been really nice although there have been quite a few snags here and there as well. (Yeah, I'm pretty much over my One Piece addiction now) The arc look like it's coming to an end soon with
Ace finally being freed. It was pretty epic to see him and Luffy working together.
I don't really keep up with the anime anymore (It's too ugly for me), but I wouldn't mind seeing this arc animated just to see all the new abilities.

Apparently Toushiro didn't learn his lesson the last time he decided to run off at the mouth. Seriously, I was rolling my eyes when he said "he'd crush Aizen".

I have a lot of anime in my sig, but I haven't gotten around to watching most of that stuff. I've only been watching Fullmetal Alchemist (2003 series) which I have on tape, and Code Geass which I've taken a break from for about 2 weeks. Despite me hating Ed and Al this series still does a lot to entertain me. The secondary characters and villains are nicely done. Mustang still remains to be my favorite out of the bunch while Lust (Laura Bailey has a seductive voice when she does this role), Izumi and Hawkeye are my favorite females in the series. (I completely forgot about Izumi being in this series) I don't know if anyone knew, but I just found out that a lot of those voice actors are reprising their roles in Brotherhood. That's good because I liked the voice work that went into FMA. I need to represent Mustang some day lol

Slight caution on Shenmue 2. If you're into character development and liked Ryo in the first Shenmue,
he does a complete 180 and turns into such a naive idiot
. While it didn't turn me off, it could be a little off putting for some. Daggit, y'all some fast people.

I agree with James, Sangome. (I've seen them as low as $45) You should invest in a Dreamcast, although, outside of the Sonic games and probably a few RPG's (and I don't want to give any negative impressions on the console) the Dreamcast were for people into the fighting games. I think I made it fairly known that I'm a Shenmue fan. I just get a serene feeling everytime I play that game. I just might get another Dreamcast someday because the one I previously owned is messed up along with my game. (My brother don't know how to take care of games, cd's for nothing) Edit: I still have my Saturn around here somewhere, but the only games I've played on it were Virtua Fighter 2, Virtual Cop 2, Street Fighter Alpha (can't remember if it was 1 or 2) and Fighting Vipers.

An impressive chapter. I am so glad Karin got did in. Don't have to see anymore fangasming from her. She really got on my nerves.
Now if Sasuke actually killed Naruto (I know, wishful thinking) he'd be the best character in this series, but I can settle for Sakura being next.
I know that sounds mean... sorry. :) Now all that's left is for Naruto to give up on Sasuke so he can turn into a somewhat decent character.
I'm going through a Dreamcast rennaissance at the moment. I'm thinking of actually posting about it at OB World (it'd be nice to actually post stuff that isn't just about specific threads, too).
Go for it. I'd be interested in reading about what people are playing on the Dreamcast. I'm still having a lot of fun on my ps2 seeing how I'm not ready to start buying games for the Xbox 360 just yet. (Even though there are a lot of games I want to play) I'm on a Fullmetal Alchemist kick right now. I can't stand Ed and Al, but the series is still good.

I am definately liking what I'm hearing about Mass Effect 2 so far. I'm not much of a story person, but I do love me some character interaction/development. I say that because I'm not entirely sure if I want to play the first one anymore or not... "shrugs" (With people saying that the first should be played and whatnot) If I get the money we'll see if I feel like buying it or not. (I just might watch videos online of someone playing it) Anyway, this game is getting some very high remarks. X play gave it a 5 out of 5 and Game Trailers gave it a 9.7 out of 10. Gamespot gave it a 9, and I believe IGN gave it a 9.2 or something like that.

I just beat God of War 2 yesterday. It's a nice game. Great for taking out your frustration on, but I definately prefer the Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden games. The platforming wasn't as crazy as the platforming in the first one. They really make you think when it came to solving the puzzles, too. A lot of stuff I never would've thought about doing had it not been for a couple of hints from a walkthrough. As stated once before, I don't care for greek mythology (spartans, titans and all that jazz don't tickle my fancy), but the voice acting in the game made it all sound nice. I really liked whoever was doing the voice of Zeus. The graphics are amazing for a ps2 game. Other than Metal Gear Solid 3 and probably Final Fantasy X/XII, I haven't seen a game on the ps2 that looked so good. The cinematics are nicely very nice, and the in game graphics were astounding (I've never used that word either). Background scenery, again, back to that long chain you run across was amazing to look at. Music while I hardly remember it, I do know that there were a couple of themes in there that was nice. Overall, I enjoyed the game and am playing it a second time. I liked the fact that just about everything carries over from your previous game. I don't remember if items and powerups carried over in the first game, but I like it here. 5/5 I think I might go back to finishing up my game of Final Fantasy 7.

I've reread the chapter a couple of times. (It's really decent) One thing I'm wondering is why haven't the other captains released their shikai's? A combination attack from Shinji and Shunsui's shikai could actually do a number on Aizen, or at the very least put another scratch on him. Seriously, Shunsui's kids game thingy can prove to be advantageous against Aizen. Maybe I'm jumping the gun a bit though and that might actually happen in the next chapter. I also get the feeling that Aizen or Gin is gonna go after Unohana. It only makes sense to take out the healer first so they don't keep on healing people.

Danzou has a frickin face on his shoulder. I didn't notice that before. This chapter was certainly entertaining, but this is turning into another Sasuke only type of thing again, but at the same time I don't mind this one because the characters he's been up against has been a treat to see. When he was fighting Deidara, and recruiting the others, that was some boring stuff.
