Over-react much? Again I ask do people really expect these shows to go unedited? I mean if you knew from day one that Disney was going to be airing Naruto, then you should know that it will be edited... It's a kids channel. Seriously, outside of a few word changes, it's basically the same thing CN would've done. (DBZ anyone?) But going for the dvd's is your best bet if you want unedited material. I'm just not willing to buy anything that is Naruto :). (Not like it's all that great anyway)

Hurray for Looney Toons. Duck Amuck had me in tears... Yeah, um, I just got rid of dial-up last year so I'm grateful, and I feel the pain of whoever is suffering with dial-up now.
When you're finished the anime Magus I'd highly advise you to read the manga, for a much more complete view of the story,
Yeah, so I've heard that the anime ended in quite the cliffhanger. Speaking of the manga, I did try to read it a while back, but had to stop because of some, um...
sexual thoughts roaming through the head. Causing some side effects and stuff... "coughs"
:animesmil :animeswea

Ok, I checked out the first three episodes (I decided to check it out after Gavin suggested it), and I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it just yet. On one hand I'm not really all that impressed with the fights since there's a lot of freeze-framing type stuff going on. After seeing so many fluid fights that deals with a samurai setting, I've become quite addicted to it, and tend to not like anything slow-ish. (But considering that everyone is in big ### armor, I should be a little more lenient) I've never been a fan of the Medieval times either. All this knight's stuff comes off as boring to me. (A Knight's Tale is bout the only thing I'd really watch these days... I was never a fan of King Arthur) On the other hand, Griffith is quite the character. Tacticians are some of the best type of characters ever. I love seeing people using their heads. Gatsu's (really?) not a bad character either. A little rash, but still has that bad###ness to him that some other hotheaded characters tend to lack. (Seriously, how can people consider Naruto and Ichigo bad###?) I do hate this one character so far though. I can't remember his name, but
he picked a fight with Gatsu and is harboring hatred over him after he started the whole thing
. Anyway, I'll continue on with this since I do find Griffith to be a very interesting character.
I know my friend, it was a moment of weakness and now my OCD won't let me not finish it. Rest assured I'll find someone decidedly explosively masculine to watch afterwards to make up for it, perhaps even start One Piece early as I've planned to watch it over the Christmas break.
If it wasn't for my curiousity of how the characters abilities looked in motion I'd actually recommend reading One Piece over watching the anime since it is fairly ugly (but it's also excuseable given the wackiness of everything), although the anime does have its moments. (I do tend to skip around a lot, too, so... yeah) Either way, do check it out. I'm in need of something new. Inuyasha and Fairy Tail's not going to cut it. I'll probably just finish up the ones I'm currently watching so I can update/move on.

Ninja Gaiden 2 It's very easy to clock in 100+ hours on the Path of the Mentor difficulty (if you can actually manage to stay with it) because you die so many times. (And you will die. There's no escaping that) Some stages are excruciating when it comes to cheapness, but a lot of the times they feel rewarding when you finally get past them. I was happy just to get past the first fight on the 1st stage. But I finally decided to call it quits when I got to the 11th chapter. I didn't like where things were going in terms of fighting. I had a hard time dealing with Ratsetsu on the 1st and 2nd chapters, and to find out you have to fight
3 upgraded versions of him along with zombie ninja's that explode, and if I'm not mistaken, ninja dogs
. It's just not worth the tantrums. My controller would've definately went through the tv if I had continued playing. Metal Gear Solid 3 Because I'm scared of trying to be sneaky, I get extremely cautious and tend to play very slow, making sure that I'm never spotted. (I make sure I put everyone to sleep before leaving an area) But a lot of my hours went to finding them Kerotan (sp?) frogs since I refuse to play the game on the hardest difficulty lol. I suppose I could also say Zelda: Ocarina of Time as well. And while I'm not a completionist, back then I did try to collect all the heart pieces as well as the gold spiders. But I opted to cop out on that as well since some of the things I just never felt up to doing. Oh yeah. NBA 2K6. We'll just say trying to play a whole season with the play time at 12 minutes is too much lol. I still never made it through a whole season. I sold/traded it in before I even got to the halfway point lol.

Any one of these will do. (Yeah, another one of those pick your poison type of thing lol) Choice 1 Byakuya 1 Byakuya 2 Can't help it. I'm just a Byakuya fan. Anyway, I'm pretty neutral on this one. As long as you keep the size within OB's limits. No pink either. But other than that have fun. Oh yeah, I'd like to have my name in it as well. Choice 2 Itachi 1 Itachi 2 Same as the other, although I do prefer more of a red background (He just brings out the red and black, much like Alucard). No specifics on font style or color. Just my name. Again have fun with it. And finally Choice 3 Mihawk 1 Mihawk 2 My very first One Piece request. Again, like the others. Keep the size within OB limits. I'll let you decide on what type of background would go great with him (Actually, I'm pretty lost and don't know what would be great for him). Again, my name as the text. Nothing specific about font size or color. I tried to find some good pics, but photobucket is seriously lacking these days. (And I'm out of options on where else to go) If none of the pictures workout feel free to use other pictures. Oh, you don't have to use 2 images for the sig btw (if you don't want to). I was just trying to give people more options on what to go with. Thanks in advance for the hardwork.

FACE PALM... I didnt even pay attention to the word "Lariat" Edit: I'm very tempted to drop this now. Each week I'm just gradually losing interest. This fight is a snooze fest for me.

I've been playing a couple of games. Halo 3 - I don't do any of the multiplayer stuff (outside of a co-op campaign). I just don't get a kick out of it anymore. I'm all about the single player campaign mode. And now that I've shaken off the rust I can finally say that I'm having fun. I found a new toy, although I don't know what it's called, but it's pretty powerful. A melee type weapon that sends folk flying. If only I had that thing when them hunters (We call them big blues) popped up... There were a couple of What the hell is that? moments from me. While I wasn't scared, I was a bit cautious especially seeing whatever those things were that carry these weapons. I'm always on edge when it comes to them Floods. I hate those things. These graphics are quite nice even though I'm not playing the game on a HDTV. The backgrounds and the water is really fascinating. The soundtrack was always great. I never grow tired of the classic halo theme. Final Fantasy IV - I did end up starting my game over because of a mishap. I mistook the discard bin thingy as something I can store my items in. (It looks like a house) From what I've played of it, so far, these characters are perhaps the best characters I've seen out of the FF games I've played and I still haven't seen this Edge guy yet (or should I say that this FF has the best characterization), however, I still prefer the characters in FF7(outside of Yuffie and Cait Sith) and Squall, lol. (I'm more of a modern day-ish type of fellow) I've also enjoyed some of the music, but then again it's your typical FF music so I suppose that's a given. With all that being said, and I know I'ma end up kicking myself for it in the end, but I'm gonna call it quits with the rpg genre for a while. Being in school and all I just don't have the time for these type of games. I get sucked in way too easy if I either like the characters or attacks. I'm going to stick with games that're shorter to beat as well as relieve stress/anger.

Watching Soul Eater - First two FUNi episodes that is. For the most part, I enjoyed what I've seen, but my only concern is Black Star. While I still hate his character (I don't think that'll ever change) I was under the impression of him sounding like a guy, or at the very least, Yahiko-ish (Rurouni Kenshin). I don't know how things are supposed to be prounounced so I can't speak on that. I'll probably continue watch episodes 3 and 4 later on tonight. One Piece - One FUNi episode. Like I stated in the thread itself, maybe it'll take a little getting used to but for the most part I don't really care for it. Sounds like they're trying to force things, or just sound incredibly dull given the amount of emotional outburst in this series... Perhaps it was just the episode though. (Mihawk vs Zoro) Hopefully it'll be better when I decide to check out the Arlong arc. That's about it. Haven't really had the chance to check out anything else since my finals are right around the corner. I'm thinking about checking out FMA: Brotherhood as well as finishing up Gungrave.

Topic speaks for itself. I think... :animeswea I don't know all the types seeing how I'm not all that sure if I've seen all there is that anime/manga has to offer with the anime I've seen so far. (mainly shonen and stuff like Ghost in the Shell, Black Lagoon, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) Anyways, I tend to favor almost all silent types. Don't have to worry about them running off at the mouth all the time. They're usually a force to be reckon with as well. Jin (Samurai Champloo), Gaara (Naruto), Ulquiorra (Bleach) I also like the cool and calm type of characters. They usually think there way out of situations instead of rush in only to get put in there place. Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho), Kakashi (Naruto), Itachi (Naruto), L (Death Note), Spike (Cowboy Bebop) I don't think he thinks, but he still fits in the category of being calm and cool. Some arrogant characters are good too. I think they're the ones that are usually the bad### of the bunch.. (that also depends) Usually dealing with folks in either a flashy or cutthroat type of way. Byakuya (Bleach), Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho), Alucard (Hellsing), Mugen (Samurai Champloo) And then there are characters I don't know what type of category to place them in. Yusuke (Yu Yu Hakusho), Pein/Nagato (Naruto) Anyway, I think I got my words tangled a bit in there somewhere, but you should get the gist of everything though. :animeswea
Meh I don't mind the new form really, although I'm reserving ultimate judgement until next week when we see it in action rather than a single quarter panel picture.
You know me... Judge by looks first. Get proved wrong later. (Ulquiorra and Ichigo) Shinmaru. I don't get it. O_o

I didn't know that. I learned something new. Kisame looks more like that Creature from the Black Lagoon in that movie Monster Squad to me. Sucks that there's no One Piece this week.

I thought this chapter was pretty good. Funny moments between Byakuya and Kenpachi. I'm definately being teased by both the manga and anime. Just give me my fight already. I'll say Kubo is the best writer ever if I can get that fight. One thing I wish for is that Ichigo fight like he's supposed to be stronger than the captains. Because the way he is, he does way too much sandbagging (and in the process, makes me start hating him for it) till I lose interest in the guy. (Fighting-wise, him and Kenpachi are identical yet Kenpachi has been shown to get straight to the point at times, or other times he's just bad$$$)

Don't feel bad. I didn't find out until someone told me around the time Itachi kicked the bucket. Or was it Pein... I think the only exception to that rule is Hidan though. If I recall he still had his cloak on. (Although it's also safe to assume he didn't die though) This chapter didn't really wow me. I thought for certain that Kisame would do something impressive.
to Gav: At the risk of sounding like an idiot (and out of curiosity), what exactly did you consider to be one of the immutable laws of Naruto?
When a member of Akatsuki comes out of their coat they die. "LIFE 1" I've been watching One Piece (along with reading it.) and even the anime is better than I expected. The fights (even though the characters tend to get a bit ugly at times.) have been entertaining. And given the quirky-ness of the series, there's a lot the anime can get away with. (Such as the ugliness at times.) Don't get me wrong though. Like the other shonen I've seen One Piece is just as inconsistent. I suppose I'm a bit more lenient with it because I already knew what to expect. I'm up to episode 350. I skip fillers. (Are they even worth watching?) Like I said, the fights have been entertaining. Watching One Piece, I'd probably say that Enies Lobby is probably my favorite arc now. (It was Alabasta for the time being.) And even that might change because Thriller Bark is shaping up to look really good animated. And then there is the whole
Pirate seperation
I've yet to see as well.. Although I have seen a couple of episodes of that arc here and there.
Patiently waiting for the whole Rescue Ace arc to be animated.
That whole arc has been epic. I would watch the Funi version but unfortunately I don't have the money to buy any of the dvds, and I haven't found any place to watch them. (I'd love to be watching this dubbed instead of subbed.) ___________________________ So I just checked out a Funimation episode, and to be honest I have to say that I'm not really all that impressed especially when compared to Funi's other work. But to be fair I only checked out one episode, so perhaps it just takes a little getting used to. But right now the characters just sound so dull even when they're suppose to be excited or screaming with anger. I haven't seen the 4kids version (I wasn't interested in One Piece then), so obviously I can't compare the two. But yeah, for the most part, I was expecting something a little better since this is coming from Funimation, and all the hype surrounding this version. Maybe I should just skip straight to the Arlong arc since the earlier arcs are fairly slow.
On a random note, I don't understand why people opt to make their font small. Still waiting for my crash to come.
For some strange reason the small font looks good. And then folk want others to squint.
