Looks like I'm going to be approaching this series pretty much like Gundam Seed. Gundam Seed Destiny first and then Gundam Seed. :( Oh well, can't be helped at the moment. Hopefully my schedule won't interfere this because I really want to see Gundam 00. I'm still a little bitter about missing the first season. People have suggested sites, but I don't really have the time to sit at the computer to watch anime. Hopefully one day SyFy (stupid name) will re-air the first season again because I really need to see it.

[strike]I'm not entirely sure about the story yet, synopsis a little bit later[/strike] Got a synopsis.
The game's star is Yuri, a well-meaning troublemaker living in the capitol's lower quarter. Devices called blastia manage the world's magic needs, from monster barriers to mystical weapons. When a thief steals the core of the blastia that regulates the neighborhood's flow of fresh water, Yuri sets off to recover it, only to find himself caught up in a game of politics and class struggle. As he treks across forests and deserts, Yuri and his trusted dog Repede bring various friends into the fold. There's the naive Estelle, a castle noble who finds she has the most to lose--and the most to gain; Or the insufferable Rita, a headstrong magic researcher who keeps getting drawn into the drama in spite of herself.
I just started playing Tales of Vesperia earlier today. A bad mistake, sort of, because these types of games can be addicting, and I'm not done with school and all XD. As a matter of fact I have final projects coming up, and this is certainly not the game I should be playing at the moment lol. Anyway, I think I'm about maybe 4-5 hours in the game, and I like it so far. Takes a little time getting used to especially with how the controls are setup. B=attack, A=Artes. Coming off of Tales of the Abyss (a long time ago XD) I remember that X=attack, and O=artes. (It's been switched.) I keep pressing the artes button thinking that it's the attack button. The characters I've seen so far are pretty good. No one annoying, and Yuri is light years ahead of Luke. (THANK GOD) He's way more tolerable. Not whiny, and in some ways, reminds me of Jade. (Not nearly as sarcastic from what I've seen so far though.) There is one character that really caught my interest though. I can't remember his name but
he has pink and blonde hair (I think.. going off memory) and is a bit of a nut. He just seems like that one character whose gonna grow and make you care for his death (if he dies). Sort of like Asch
. Estelle is comically naive... (That's a first.) I normally can't stand naive characters (boy, don't we know that :)), but it seems a little refreshing here... Don't me on that because I may end up changing my opinion on her sometime down the line. But for the moment, the way her naiveness (heh) is used here is really refreshing. Anyone else playing or played this game?
Now, I don't want to sound like I'm bashing MVC2, because I really love the game. I just don't see the point in going online to deal with laggy netcode, trash talkers, or plug pullers. But don't let my skepticism sway your opinion ;)
Oh, no, I agree wholeheartedly. I'm completely against playing games online because of all the stuff I've heard about them. (Mainly the trash talkers who whine after getting beat.) The only reason I'd really consider getting this game is because of the pricetag. Other than that, I have no intentions on playing this game (or any games for that matter) online. It's just that I don't really know how XBL or PSN really work. Do you need to pay to make an account? How are you suppose to pay for these games? Things of that nature. When I said that I wanted this for the ps2, I meant I wanted a remake.. :) (Not sure if remake is the word I'm looking for) Pretty much like how Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga has been remade and has a decent price for a change...

We're probably aware of it already. (I'm pretty certain Street Fighter fans are aware of it that's for sure XD) Anyway, as seen in the pic, it's coming for both XBLA and PSN. I'm happy about this, but at the same time I'm a bit sad because I'm not a supporter of XBL or PSN, (Nor Wiiware or whatever it's called.) and I wanted this for the PS2. The upside is that it beats out tossing out $80-$200 for a cd. I suppose I could probably try to con my sister into making a XBL account or something.. "shrugs". Err.. Games that are sold on XBL. The prices don't go up on them do they? I'd be a happy camper if the price stays the same forever.... I'm beginning to hate these tags.

Aw, no more talk about this one? Finally, caught up with all 3 now. I can imagine this latest chapter animated. My reactions to it will be ranging from trying to contain myself from laughing to face palming every 2-3 minutes. Anyway,
Luffy's truly a soldier
. ("survivor" just don't sound right) I've been going through sort of a dry spell with main characters as of late. (Mainly in these shounen type series) I can't stand the sight of them in some of the latest series I've been watching/reading. (Ichigo, Naruto, and thne Ed and Al comes to mind.) And I've been really iffy about Luffy (I didn't like him at one point) since the beginning of the story and he's been gradually impressing me with each passing arc. And one of my biggest gripes about characters is that they just rush into a situation without using their brain... Luffy has shown that he's capable of using his brain, and I applaud him for it. In other words, Luffy's been a great main character. It's been a while since I've last seen one in shounen. This Bon-Okama guy. I was never a fan of his, and while I'm not that big on him, he has won me over though, due to his loyalty. To copy the words of Katt Williams This series right here (repeat that about 3 or 4 times) defines determination.
And to end the chapter with Luffy wanting food is just good stuff.
__________________
Crocodile and Jinbei
.. wow..
Well, we don't really know what Jinbei's really about, but we do know that he's a shichibukai (sp?), and well, they're pretty much a force. Crocodile needs no explanation lol. (Best villain in the series so far.) I'm really curious as to how some of the teamwork combinations could work out here.
I think it'd be real interesting if these people actually became a member of the Straw Hats.

Err... Hitsugaya really thinks he's Byakuya. (Well, I suppose he does look up to him, trying to mimic his personality and all.) I really don't know what to make of him at this point. He shouldn't even be attempting to continue this fight, but then again, someone is suppose to stall her...
This is really a bunch of garbage now.
Barragan... That mask/face looks cool. I need more of a blow up picture to see the outfit though. I'll reserve my judgment about his release for the time being though.

Oh dear, putting up with the torture that is Luke again, haha. Actually, it's been pretty decent so far, even though I've only made it to episode 5. I'm really surprised at the rate it's going. It's been a while since I've played the game, so I don't remember the events too much. But I don't remember
Van traveling with Luke and gang
so early. In some ways I do want to say I remember, but I can't really place him there at the moment.
I remember him being on the ship, but I don't recall him blasting Dist away.
The fighting sorta reminds me of Scrapped Princess's fighting. Nice and fluid, but too short for me to be all that satisfied. One things for certain though. Seeing this kind of makes me want to play the game again. (too bad I traded it in. heh)

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6208682.html?tag=latestheadlines;title;2 EUREKA!
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth coming to the West around end of year; action taken out of the courtroom to the crime scene. The Ace Attorney series has been something of phenomenon for Capcom. When the first game, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, hit the Nintendo DS back in 2005, it was a revelation for fans of the adventure genre. An excellent storyline and great presentation gained it critical and commercial success, so much so that the game suffered stock shortages due to the demand. Since then, the series has gone on to sell its music in the iTunes store, have real-life celebrity lawyers star in its ads, and spawn a multitude of direct sequels before handing the reigns over to Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney last year. Now, budding lawyers will soon have the chance to play as Phoenix Wright's famed rival prosecutor. Capcom has announced that Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth will be coming to the DS in Europe and North America this winter, following its launch in Japan next month. This time around, players will be swapping the courtroom for the crime scene to take their legal skills on the road as the titular character investigates a series of mysterious deaths around various locations in the game. The game, first shown publicly at the 2008 Tokyo Game Show, will also feature a brand-new "Logic" system, which lets players combine found items to discover new information. Though a lot of the action has been taken outside of the courtroom, Capcom has promised that the epic courtroom battles from the first game will still play a role in discovering the truth. Developing the game will be Capcom's Motohide Eshiro, who coproduced the last two Phoenix Wright games and has directed both Onimusha 2 and Shadow of Rome.
I don't know how to post trailers so you'll have to click the link to see the trailer. I've only played Justice for All and Apollo Justice, so I don't know much about Edgeworth, but he is my favorite character in JFA. To see him get his own game is a treat. Anyway, the sound of the game gives me a Death Note vibe. (more like from L's perspective.) I don't know if I would've turned it into a side scroll-ish type of game. I liked the FP aspect in this series. Now if only they made a game for the lady with the whip.
I also like the originial soundtrack from Street Fighter II. Although the music has been remastered (quite well I might add), the original CPS I tracks are timeless and are the kind of music I grew up on. My favorite stage themes are Guile's, Vega's, and Bison's. My friends and I contend that Guile's theme should be the American National Anthem.
I'm more of a fan of Ryu and Guile theme fan than the others. I can't even remember everyone elses theme too much. And the only reason I think I remember Ryu and Guile's theme so well is because those were the stages me and my brother normally chose to fight. ("Remembers all the sonic booms and hadokens") The only soundtrack that I can actually remember me being a fan of is Tales of the Abyss, and that's because I just downloaded a bunch of songs from the soundtrack yesterday. Nowdays, almost anything that sounds like it's been done by an orchestra (and intense) could catch my ear and Tales of the Abyss has quite a few of those. Does the other Tales games sound like TotA? Another thing about most of the music in games is that, the only time I'd actually catch it is if I'm just running/walking from point A to point B. If I'm in the middle of a fight I will not catch the theme at all because I'm usually so focused on the fight trying not to die, especially in boss battles. (Only in RPGs lol) Anyway, I don't know too many names at all. However, I do know a few. Sanctuary from Kingdom Hearts 2 was pretty catchy as well as the Hollow (Hallow?) Bastion theme. Final Fantasy 8 had one theme that stuck out in my head that I can't remember the name at the moment. It plays during the Dollet mission. (SEED/Field exam) Halo's theme (the main theme) is another one that I've listened to quite a few times as well. If only I could make it to my ringer.....

I'm doing a little bit of topic thieving from another forum.
We all have videogames that changed the way we viewed gaming, and often ended up getting us interested in the genre. What games represent turning points for you? Mine are; Yoshi's Island- The first game I ever played with the clear intention of getting from point A to point B. I was too young to have any intentions with my Atari. Legend of Zelda: Ocaraina of Time- 'nuff said. Banjo-Tooie- My favorite platformer, still (I liked it better than SM64). Crystal Warriors- My first tactical RPG.
I thought this was a fairly nice topic, and seeing how I don't recall there being any topics about games that first got us into a specific genre (and such) before I thought we could use it. With that said, Super Mario Bros - While I can't stand to play the series nowdays, this was my introduction to videogames along with the platforming genre. (even though I had no idea what a genre was. I was 5 I believe.) I do give props though, because, if it weren't for this game I probably wouldn't be playing games now. The last type of platforming game I've played (where platforming was the key element) was Prince of Persia: Two Thrones, and that was a couple of years back. I don't really play them too much these days now. Street Fighter 2 - My hook and obsession of fighting games. I'm no where near as competitive as I used to be. I still like fighting games to this day, but a lot of them lack the fun factor I had with the SF series. I've yet to play Street Fighter 4, and I highly doubt I will play it until I get a ps3. To hear that the game is unplayable (not unplayable as in... unplayable, but you know :animeswea) with the 360 controller just took out all interest in playing it for the 360. "shrugs" Goldeneye 007 - Probably my favorite game on the Nintendo 64, and my first exposure to a FPS game. Like I said, I'm not nearly the competitive type I used to be back then, but when it comes to this game, I would put myself up on a high pedestal XD. Um.. yeah, I wouldn't say this opened the door to FPS's for me since the only FPS's I'd really play is this, Perfect Dark (N64) and Halo. Everything else I'm not really interested in. Final Fantasy 8 - The first RPG I ever played. By the time this first came out, I was into fighting games. I hated the RPG genre back then. Didn't see what was so special about turn-based combat... (still don't actually XD) That type of combat eventually grew onto me in the end. What did it for me though was Squall. I liked his attitude and stuff. The limit breaks were just extra flavoring. And then the junction system, while I admit was very complicated to get the hang of and the drawing system was very time consuming. I still like those features very much and once you get an understanding of how everything works it gets real easy. So... yeah... I believe that's pretty much it. I've been playing the action/adventure type games since Kung Fu, however, I don't remember anything about that game so I won't talk about that genre.
I dunno, if I wanted my life to be dominated by quicktime events and inane, repetitive mini"games", I'd just go get a job on an assembly line.
Shenmue has more of a serene feeling to it.... "coughs" This may sound a little strange coming from me... (me being semi-cold and can't stand kiddies and stuff.) But I'd put myself in the Kingdom Hearts series. I grew up watching Mickey Mouse and friends... (along with Looney Toons) However, I can do away with Sora and his keyblades.... Dragon Quest 8 might be another world that could seem pretty interesting to wonder around in.

Yessir, too early. Of all things, complain about releasing too early... >_> Also, how did you forget about Kira? That was his only shining moment. XD Him and Hisagi. I tend to skip the Komamura and Pow fight. Anyway, finally got a chance to read the chapter. First the bad. Omaeda. While he didn't ruin it (not even close to it.), he was still annoying. Did we really need to be reminded about the limit removal? It was clear that it was approved from the moment everyone showed up. (As mean as it sounds, I hope he gets done in.) Everything else was good. I know it's a bad comparison since Hitsugaya's involved, but I'm gonna do it anyway lol. At first I was thinking that there wasn't that much of a leap between Ulquiorra and Halibel.. (Not that big of a margin anyway.) But seeing an invisible attack from Halibel certainly changed my mind very quickly lol. (I'm pretty certain that Ulquiorra could do the same thing to Hitsugaya as well. XD) But still, kind of makes me wonder how big of a leap it is from 4 to 3. (Halibel's a lot more human-ish than Ulquiorra... Bah, she should've been #2.) It also makes one wonder if the vaizards could really do anything against the top 3 espada. I know they're a lot more experienced than Ichigo, and we don't know if they know about that transformation or not, but that trouncing that Ichigo received from Ulquiorra with his mask has me wondering if they really are enough to handle them. Finally see where Komamura is. (Ukitake's next.) Wonder if he's gonna try his hands at Halibel.
-
Remember, Kenny don't exactly dodge attacks, too much anyway. And Ichigo's an idiot. So I wouldn't really use Nnoitra in comparison. (Do I really need to throw Chad in this? XD) But I gotcha. I'm not saying the bigguy's not going to catch Soifon with that axe (I'm not even saying that it's a disadvantage). I'm not willing to bank on either at the moment. I think Zommari was lying through his teeth when he stated that he was the fastest espada. Especially after seeing the way Ulquiorra was fighting against Ichigo. Oh yeah, there's been quite a few people at other forums talking about Halibel releasing entirely too early. (because of the whole, they release they die thing.) I think that's a breath of fresh air. Too see people cut to the chase and get things over with instead of seeing people drag things out with all the sandbagging. (She's become my new favorite because of that.) I know, I just complained about Ulquiorra releasing his 2nd form, but that was only because I didn't like the look of it. But I did like the trouncing he gave Ichigo :).

As long as there are healers on the good side, Toushiro will live... That's just a flesh wound to Kubo :) But like I said, if Toushiro really is dead from that attack and can't be brought back, I will definately give Kubo the title of best writer of 2009. I don't remember who brought it up the first time, about Kubo challenging editors of the anime, but I'm jumping on that ship now. As far as I know, I don't recall any humans-like characters in the anime being shown with body parts cut off and whatnot. First we have Matsumoto and her side/torso being ripped/punched out, and now Toushiro being sliced in 2. How will that be edited? Oh, yes, that axe is huge. Gotta wonder if he's fast though. Catching Soi Fon just don't seem like an easy chore to chop her with that thing. But then again, I can see Omeda causing her to get cut. (I still have him pegged as an idiot.)
-
So, either way, Athrun is just a supporting character? Finally, that's cleared up. There are more people more annoying than those 2 characters? Oh dear, that kind of makes me cautious now. From what I saw of episode 6
The planet thingy (Jun... 7) was broken into 3 pieces, but there is still one large chunk of it falling towards earth. It ended with Kira looking up at the sky.
(I only knew it was him cause some girl with pink hair called his name XD)
-
Haha I don't think we want to know what you were doing.
Actually, I'm a bit curious now XD. I don't think even smoking or drinking would cause one to spell like that. (I wouldn't know. I've never done either one.) I do know that smoking causes you to see things though. (Or is it just smoking weed that does that?)
-
Pictures, finally.
Halibel don't look so bad. From the close-up, that is. Far distance she looks more like she's streaking. If Toushiro is really dead
I'll give Bleach the title of being the 3rd best shonen series instead of One Piece, and Kubo gets the title of best writer for 2009.
Oooh, I've never seen any of the older Gundams. Destiny was my first Gundam anime since I never had access to any of the others. Whether SEED is better than Destiny is debatable. In my own personal opinion, if I had to choose which is better I would say SEED just because it builds the story for SEED. If you're going to watch Destiny without SEED (Tombstone) it may help to have a little prior knowledge. But anyway, I like both, Destiny's quite cute and more than a little twisted. Has some good plot twists in it.
Took a long time to reply to this message, but I'm finally getting around to it, haha. I see what you mean by having a little prior knowledge of it because I just finished watching episodes 3-6 (I know, it's been a whole year, going on 2 and I'm only reaching episode 6 XD), and I'm confused out the wazoo lol. (I still haven't seen Gundam Seed.) Whose story is this suppose to be, or rather, whose the main character? (Dagger, I can certainly go for one of your synopsis :).) That said, I finally learned a few characters names. (Ray, Shin, Athrun... uh, uh... Luna..something, and Durandal?) Right now that princess girl and Shin are the ones that're getting on my nerves a bit. That girl just don't ever shutup. And Shin (well both really) act like everyone should take pity on them or something.... (waits to see more episodes before really giving a verdict on them, haha.) I know of Kira. My friend talked about him when GS was on adult swim. (I was not into the Gundam series at that time.) When is that guy going to start getting into the nitty gritty of things? (I don't want episode # per se, but more like a "very soon", "soon", or "ways to go" type thing.) I want to see what that guy is about.
Oh no, it was marvelous. Totally worth the money. You should go see it as soon as you can. Heck, treat your whole family with tickets for Dragonball Evolution. They'll love you in eternity.
Oh... You are wrong for that one. Aaryanna, that video was funny, but at the same time they're really pathetic.

School is overrated.

So much for the interference... It was false. Err.... Yammy. It's hard to take this form seriously. Like almost every other espada, this form looks like a complete joke. All I see is another version of Grand Fisher this time it has a tatoo of a 0. I'm still not going to say anything about him being the "strongest" or weakest espada, however, I'm not jumping ship and saying he's the strongest, that's for sure. Here's hoping that espadas 1-3 has decent forms after releasing.
-
Haha, Gavin. I still don't know what to make of Yammy, but I am wondering if he's somewhat like Uryuu... Instead of gathering his power from reishi (whatever it's called), or surroundings, or wherever, he's gathering his power from all the fallen espada... "shrugs" That's not where my interest is at right now. There's another translation at BA stating that
someone has interfered with the fight between Halibel and Hitsugaya, and they're speculating that it's Ukitake.
If that's true then forget this chapter, I want the next chapter.
-
LOL, I wouldn't consider anybody in this series is a hero nor anti-heroes for that matter. To say Revy's not likeable, well, I can see what you mean, but I like her. I find it refreshing (in some kind of weird demented way lol) to see a female that can stand up for herself and not play the role of some lovey-dovey damsel.
