Who the hell calls sprinkles "jimmies"? Northerners? lol. Maybe the same people who say "pop" instead of soda?
Pop is commonly used here in Detroit. I don't hear too many people saying soda. As far as jimmies goes... (Sprinkles...?) I would thought people were talking about pajamas. "shrugs" (jammies and jimmies) I say the word "ain't" a lot. Isn't/is not, just don't sound right since I've been using "ain't" since the elementary days of school. Loved it when teachers tried to correct us. Y'all is another word I use. Good morning all... What the crap. That looks and sounds stupid. Much like Cat14, I drop the g's off of words ending in ing. I don't type that way though. There were other slang terms that I used to use, but since I've graduated from high school, I haven't said them since.

So I saw some of the first episode, at least I think it was the first episode. It's kind of hard to judge it. (seeing how I turned it with, I think 10-12 minutes to spare) Still having mixed feelings about what I saw. The guy with the shades, Kamina (?) is a weird, quirky guy that gave me a few chuckles. The scantly dressed girl, is perhaps, where my issues lies. While I have nothing against her personally, it's just that the series is screaming fanservice atleast every other episode. If it's your thing, cheers, as for me, I don't mind it, but I don't care for it. (Too much of it is a turn off) I lost count at how many times there was a close up of her T&A, mainly during the parts where they were crawling through the tunnel. (Err... That's a bit ironic) I suppose the animation was good, but I didn't care much for the design itself. Hard to explain, but the characters are drawn, I don't know, with an old-ish look. I think that's what I'm trying to say. But then again, that's just a minor nitpick, or it's just something I'd have to get used to. (Took a little for me to get into the characters look in Scryed and now Code Geass.)
As for Simon being a kid, it's not that big of a deal.
To whom?

Finding the Guilty Gear games hasn't been much of a problem since I tend to go to amazon a lot. Hm, I think I'm worried about missing out on the story mode if I buy Accent Core, but at the same time, I'm not certain what I'd be missing out on if I buy X2.
-
X2- AKA Guilty Gear XX. Sequel to GG:X, Accent Core- Newest revision of X2, with new features and gameplay balancing. Think of it like the revisions they did for Street Fighter 2 (Champion Editon, Hyper Fighting, Turbo...etc.)
Ah, so it wouldn't matter which one to pick up?
If I could suggest a good game that's not too taxing on the brain, but good for a few playthoughs...it would have to be the Ace Combat series. I own AC4 and AC5 and I find the flight sim games pretty enjoyable. The graphics on the game are fantastic, but the gameplay is what I love most about the games. I would say AC4 is the better entry of the two, but it really doesn't matter which one you pick up, since the games aren't tied in chronologically from game to game.
I had Ace Combat 6 here the other day (borrowed my friends Xbox 360), but never got around to playing it. (was playing Ninja Gaiden 2) I think the last airplane type game I've played was Afterburner, and that was a long time ago. Is it anything like that?
Anyway, have you tried playing FFXII? I know you said you played FFX and hated it, but XII is a much, much different game. Just about everything in the game is more complex and interesting than its' predecessor, although I must admit that the characters are a little boring.
I've only played the demo and didn't like what I was playing, but after Sandy's explanation of the gameplay/battle system (one of those), I'm tempted to trying out the actual game. Honestly, I've actually been tempted to buy FFX again, too. I didn't give it much of a chance, and I didn't explore the grid thoroughly. Alright Guilty Gear fans. What's the difference between X, X2 and XX Accent Core? (Besides different numerals.)

Whoops deleted the question and stuff. Be it old or new what is your favorite game(s)? Edit: This list is currently under revision.

Heh, I think this is the third time that both, Okami and Shadow of the Colossus were mentioned together. In any case, I've seen some boss fights for Shadow of the Colossus, and while the graphics looks prettiful, I can't say that I was really thrilled to watch it. For some odd ball of a reason it just looked boring. I remember someone telling me that SotC might not be for me with the types of games I normally play. (action.. similar to DMC) Speaking of which, I've also played Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore, and Final Fantasy X and Star Ocean 3.. (about 5 hours of FFX and 11 of SO3 before tossing them.) X-Men Legends 1 & 2 as well as Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Ultimate Spider-Man. That's about all I can remember at the moment. Oh yeah, and Final Fantasy Chronicles... (Chrono Trigger only)

Thought I'd revive this since it's the manga I started reading lately. I'm just finished reading chapter 9. And I find it interesting. Started off a tad bit slow. (No where near as slow as Bleach) Flame of Recca has a lot of similarities to Yu Yu Hakusho. (That's a plus because I like YYH over Bleach and Naruto, but I won't get into that here. XD) Recca = Yusuke and Domon = Kuwabara. I've only seen 5 important characters, and to say whose my favorite at this point would be pointless. However, Fuuko and Kage Hoshi (sp?) are the ones that've stuck out the most so far. The artwork is actually a lot better than I thought it'd be. Coming off of reading Bleach (and Death Note a while ago, whose artwork is superb) I've been finding it a little hard to like the artwork of most older series. One issue though. Main characters fallen for ditzy females, or ditzy females that's so infactuated with the male lead.. It's really tiresome. I know this came out first, but I've already seen this type of thing in Bleach, and now I'm seeing it in Code Geass... I don't really need to see it here. Not that I really care, but I wouldn't mind seeing/reading something where the main male goes after a girl whose not a ditz. (Naruto don't count because he's an idiot. And that's vice versa.) That little nitpick set aside, this is really interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing the anime version. Anyone else reading, or have read this? Thoughts?
Why don't people understand me?
It's not that people don't understand you, it's more like you're not grasping the fact that it's all a preference. If you think reality shows are good or whatever, then good for you, but don't try to knock someone for not sharing your opinion. In other words. Chill out. As far as me and the moment of truth (and other reality shows), I tend to stay away from them. While some may be entertaining at first (Hells Kitchen), they don't hold my my interest long enough for me to stick with them.

Much like anime, action is my preferred genre. But that don't mean I like every action movie I come across. For instance, I'm a big fan of the Bourne series as well as Batman Begins, but I can't stand Shoot Em Up or the X-Men films. I do branch out in movies with different genres though. Every once in a while I do enjoy a good comedy but none of this like Borat, Road Trip, Clerks, American Pie, or any other movie that mainly targets the 17-20 year old crowds. I tend to stick with Pulp Fiction, Bruce Almighty, and movies involving Tyler Perry as Madea. I don't know where movies like Ocean's Eleven and Italian Job fit into, but I watch those as well as some "Who did it" flicks. I tend to stay away from the horror genre mainly because they do nothing for me. The only horror movie(s) I'd actually watch but it's more of a suspense/thriller type is Scream.
Since he beat Hisagi with his released zanpakutou in one move. Plus you know, all those guys in the 11th are monsters when it comes to fighting, Madarame is probably low-Captain-level, so I would imagine Yumichika is a Lieutenant class Shinigami even if he's ranked as 5th.
I knew someone would use that lol. Don't get me wrong, Yumichika, at a first glance comes off as one of the thinking types, and even though he beat Hisagi (according to the anime, cheap zanpakuto), I'm still not completely sold about him having the elite status.. But then again power rankings are fairly confusing here, so maybe I shouldn't doubt Yumi too much haha. Afterall, Rukia did manage to tie with an espada, so I suppose that makes her an elite as well? Now as far as this chapter goes, Yumichika and Cool something were the highlights of the chapter, but then again, Kubo throws comedy into the wrong situations, yet his timing with this stuff is really good and can catch you off guard. (Too bad it don't have that same effect in the anime.)

Hm. While I'm not entirely against seeing the sharingan, I am tired of seeing Sasuke, but at the same time I'd take seeing Sasuke over Naruto anyday. Anyway. So the 8 tails is a bee? Did I read that right? (It's after 1:30am here, and I had only 4-5 hours of sleep, and my eyes do tend to trick me a lot when sleepy.) Also, does the 8 tails have a split personality or something? Maybe it's just me and my hate against Naruto, and I know it's only like stage 1 on his training, but this frog training is on the lame side whereas, I was actually intrigued when Kakashi when training him. Not because of me being a fan of Kakashi, but I found everything about Naruto trying to come up with his own jutsu interesting. This whole thing with natural energy is just really unappealing.

After this, I suppose I'm done with the thread. Solo - To each their own. I admit that I haven't actually went back and watched any of the old stuff outside of Superman, Spider-Man, X-Men and Batman from time to time. (Don't feel like wasting money on it.) But at the same time, the remakes to the older series are fairly poor. And then we have shows that are fairly similar to what I once used to watch. The only cartoon that's not affiliated with Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo (and was comedy) that I used to watch was the Simpsons, and I've been grown out of that series back in the late 90's, so obviously I'm not going to like shows like Family Guy, or Futurama. I do agree with you on a couple of things though. The quality of animation in some shows nowdays, do beat out most, if not all of the oldies, and it is close to impossible for me to get into some of the older cartoons (Batman: TAS) because of it's poor animation. Maybe I shouldn't have said all modern cartoons are crap because there is a handful (probably only a few) that I'd actually watch. Spectacular Spider-Man (despite that quirky look), The Batman, Legion of Superheroes, and the newly discovered Avatar. (Oh yeah, and Justice League) But all this other stuff that's being mentioned... Foster something, Spongebob, etc... just, no. Lunox - Perhaps I am too serious, but then again I also don't consider what other folk might think is funny. Lack of sense of humor, perhaps. But then again, I also find a lot of shows like Spongebob and Family Guy (2 different shows, I know, but all the same, they're trying to be funny) to be corny. (Now Boondocks is funny) Also, I don't hate Spongebob, (Can't hate something I've never seen. And I'm not really addressing this to you.) I stay away from it due to the crowd that it's suppose to please, because I know if I were to actually sit down and watch a few episodes, I'd only make myself mad, and go to sleep on it.

Being a comcast viewer has it's ups and downs.... Majority of it being downs though, seeing how there's close to nothing on there that interest me. (Marmalade Boy, Black Jack, Utena, Red Garden and some other shows... cheers to those that watch em.) Anyway, one recommendation that I kept getting from people over and over popped up on demand. Full Metal Panic. I didn't really watch it, I skimmed through it just to see if there would be anything I'd like. First episode, yeah, I know, not fair to judge, but much like Witch Blade, this don't really give me any reason to come back to it. I'm not really all that patient and leninent anymore to wait 4-5 episodes before something actually jumps off. As I said, I only skimmed through the first episode, but from a glimpse, everything looked heavily aimed towards comedy and little to no action. Off to a bad start with this one.

I've seen previews of Spongebob, but that's about as far as I've seen. I'd much rather watch them other shows that I've never seen before. Doug and Hey Arnold. And even then, I still wouldn't watch those either. I agree with SayianPrincess. Cartoons in the 80s and 90s were great, and nowdays, cartoons aren't about squat except for being quirky and "original". But then again, me and the word "quirky" don't get along anyway. I think the only type quirky cartoons I watched back then was Scooby Doo, Looney Toons, (Bugs and Daffy.. Anything affiliated with them) Animaniacs, and Tom and Jerry. And then there was Darkwing Duck and Ducktales. (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles triumphs all) Shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead, Powerpuff Girls (And other Cartoon Cartoon type shows) never appealed to me.
I think whoever doesn't like Spongebob is not happy. People who love Spongebob, express it. Those who don't......you are a sad, sad group of people.
Meh, silly young thundercats are getting more annoying stating garbage.

For the past couple of days I've been over my sister's boyfriend's house playing a buttload of games. (Main reason why I haven't been on much for the past couple of days.) First and foremost. Ninja Gaiden 2 is insane. It's too bad that I've only made it up to the 2nd boss and died. I've tried out the staff for the first time, and I have to say that it's pretty cool. Although, I the sword is still better in my opinion. I did more damage on the 2nd boss with the sword moreso than the staff. I like how you can switch weapons on the fly. Kills a lot of time from going into the menu, although, I found myself still going into the menu anyway. Old habit from the first one. The camera is the biggest enemy here as well. I love the difficulty. Even on normal things can get pretty intense. I also tried out Gears of War for the first time. I will admit that it looks good. But then I find it to be "meh" at best. I guess it's because I'm so used to the "Run & Gun" method over the "Stop & Pop". It just takes too much getting used to. I do see why it was a contender for Game of the Year.. (or was it GOTY?) Like, I said though, I prefer run and gun. The saw kill was cool. I also tried out Super Smash Bros Brawl for the first time. It's okay I guess. I did play with two people using swords, and they were both pretty good. Ike(?) and someone else... (Not Link) The game is not for me, though. I like fighting games, but this just wasn't all that pleasing. (Natural hate for Mario games lol.) Mortal Kombat Trilogy was being played for a bit. Forgot how to play this one too. Cheap trips and punches get through uppercuts... I hated that crap. I forgot how good Kabal was lol. It's just too bad that I forgot a lot of the combos. I remember a time when I used to just study my book on how to perform the combos, lol. And last but not least, we pretty much spent all day yesterday and day before yesterday playing Street Fighter Alpha 3. It's been so long since I've last played a Street Fighters game. I used to be really good, but now I'm kicking off rust. But in a matter of 2 days, I think I did fairly well. I've never seen an actual person pull off Akuma's Lights Out special so that caught me off guard. I pretty much played with Ryu, Ken and Guy. (who I forgot was in the game.) I also played with Chun Li and Sakura a couple of times. Man, we had a blast with this one. But my thumb was also blasted so I don't think I'll be playing any type of games dealing with the direction pad for a while lol. They're trying to get me to play Guitar Heroes but I refuse. [strike]I will sue them before I ever play that game :D[/strike]

SP, you're my new best friend. :)
The last time I was there my brother, me, and my grandma were at a public pool on top of the slide and you could see the dust storm coming towards us in the distance. Everyone was forced to go into the bathrooms like sardines. Another time when we were younger I remember looking out our back door and you could barely see five feet in front of you because of the dust.
Hm. Dust storms aren't as dangerous as tornadoes are they? At least not in the destructive category, right?
I live in Tucson its some what different then Phoenix but close enough. I had moved from Vermont where it snows a lot and is cold and rain to the Desert. I'm not sure if where you are is anywhere similar to Vermont is however your body might go though a shock because of the differences.
I have a friend in Vermont. She say it fluctuates randomly, so I figure it's similar to Detroit, although, I think Vermont gets colder... (not certain if they get hotter/muggier) Thanks for the advice though.
Just be careful of certain animals and at least have one other person with you.
Heh, I don't know if hiking is for me. Especially if I happen to run into some animals I've never see before. :D I suppose I can ask about the people in general. Friendly, rowdy, thuggish...? Thanks people. Sounds like I'll enjoy Phoenix.
Sad part is, they already did this kind of thing in Naruto. Back when Sasuke defected, remember?
Oh.. Forgot about the whole Sasuke dying part. It's been so long since I've seen, read about that. (The whole Turtles, bruce lee thing.. I was talking about "the way with nature and "CHI.. POWER") Good read though.
If he suddenly starts speaking like Hulk Hogan for no reason at all, then I take back everything bad I ever said about Naruto.
That would actually be thing I'd ever laugh at in Naruto.

It seems as if Kubo might go back and forth between fights. I was feeling a little giddy seeing that Ulquiorra drew his sword, and then we get the switch off... phooey. Since when was Yumichika considered an elite?
-
No, wait. it seems Naruto must first become "one with nature." How does he accomplish this? By dying, of course. Why is this all sounding too uncomfortably familiar?
Tell me about it. Ninja Turtles (The newest series), Bruce Lee, No Retreat No Surrender ?_? There's nothing to talk about in this chapter. My brother brought up a valid point about the 8 tails. He looks like Hulk Hogan.

As far as hollywood type famous actors, I've not met nor seen anyone. I think they're scared to come to Detroit, hehe.. Being in church on the other hand, you get to see quite a few musicians. My pastor seems to have quite the connection. I'm not too good with remembering names (I really need to work on that) Israel and the New Breed performed at our church as well as Mary Mary, Ce Ce Winans, a hispanic band of brothers whose name escapes me at the moment, and then a lady whose name also escapes me. (I want to say Karen Clark Sheard, but I know that's not her name. She's one of the older people.) And then every month on Thursdays, we have famous choir directors to come in and direct our choir. I think this month, it's Kurt Carr. Last month was Richard Smallwood. I can't remember who was here 2 months before that. The month of October (which I'm a bit upset that I won't be here) we have Donnie McClurkin coming to the church as well as the Clark sisters. And then my pastor is quite famous himself, here in Detroit anyway. I don't how famous he is around other states (I know he travels a lot.) Pastor Solomon Kinloch Jr.

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Magus replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Morbito is the next thing on Adult Swims block. (Whatever that is...) Assuming that's going to take the place of Death Note. As far as D.Grayman goes, if it's anything like Fullmetal Alchemist (so I've seen comparisons), it would more than likely go to AS, or perhaps the Sci-Fi channel since they've been acquiring quite a few bits of decent anime here and there. But there's also IFC... Seems like Funimation is glued to that channel. -
My GOODNESS! I did not know this series was that good. Now I've seen a couple of episodes here and there, but they never really hit me the way these 3 episodes did. And the action didn't stand out at the time. It was good then too, but narrow-minded-ness.. (You know how that goes :)) I was lost. Still lost so to speak because I don't know where the fire guy (sorry, I don't know names) came from, and he had a bald head. (with a ponytail.. or something) I know him and the main bald boy were enemies, and that's it. In these episodes that just went off, they're working together..... The animation and fight sequences are gorgeous. (Nice and fluid) Most of this stuff is as good, if not better than majority of the anime that's been airing on television. Character design.. I learn to live with it. (They're not bad, but I've seen better looking people) I like how the fire guy looks though. (is that Ruffio from Hook?) I would love to be able to catch this from the very beginning so I could see how everything got started. I tend to watch a lot of American cartoons that has action in them, or at the very least, give them a chance (although, I tend to bypass a lot of cartoons with the quirky designs), and they (cartoons) shouldn't be taken too lightly. If more cartoons like this were to be created, I'd probably give up on watching anime completely :p
From what I've heard, the 360 port will be handled by a different team. So I doubt it will affect the PS3 version at all.
A more suitable question would be, can the 360 port match that of the PS3 port? But then again, this probably won't matter to me either since I'm all for just buying a game on a cheaper console. I suppose I can say that I'm a little torn on if I still want to get a PS3 at the moment. I'm all for mult-platforms and all, but like I said, I prefer to buy the games for the cheaper console, and at this moment the 360 is the cheaper of the two. (Wii don't have any games suitable to my interest)
