To be fair, it's Tidus wimpy voice that makes me not like him. So may be that's a little shady, but I was put off of the game because of it... "shrugs". (sensitive ears) And I didn't care for the grid.
Also, be weary of the fact that we do have big, dangerous insects like scorpions and tarantulas...

The insects may be big, but you won't see many scorpions or tarantulas in Phoenix, if atall.
I'd pretty much do what I do if I see a mouse/rat... Run. =) (I'm quick to jet too..) SayianPrincess, I actually started to just PM you instead of make the thread. Didn't think there would be too many people who'd knew much about Arizona. (did a search and whatnot, and saw your name pop up in all the threads =))
- [b']road runners
Holy crap.. They exist... Do they look like the Road Runner from Looney Tunes, and can they run that fast?
Sandstorms roll in every once in awhile, or more. :p Plus monsoon season, which could start around July. The most rain you'll probebly see there, and following this would be a lot of flash floods.
That's actually a lot better than what we get. Freakishly crazy scary type weather. I'm certain you've experienced it. I think Ohioians get the same type weather us Detroiters get.
It snows in places like Flagstaff, Show Low, Prescott, and others.
Snows a lot? Because I really do want to try out skiing/snowboarding atleast one time. Oh. How far is Avondale from Phoenix? I hear about 40 miles or something. Is it in the desert?
I don't care how many characters they have, just as long as all of them are very well developed. Would you rather have 6 mediocre, two sided characters, or 3 well developed, realistic ones?
Six mediocre characters are fine by me. As long as none of the characters are like Tidus (or is it Titus?) I'm fine with it. I'd be satisfied with a game where all the characters are like Cloud, Sephiroth and Sqaull. More than likely it would be a dull game by today's standards, but hey, I prefer those types of characters over the mixture. (And that's a reason why I don't get into character development lol) My main concern is the battle system. I'm a fan of both action RPGs and turn based, but I don't like the idea of trying to combine both, and that's what it seemed like XII was trying to pull off. (It felt like it was trying to be one of those WoW games... and I just hate those type of games.) To be fair, I've only played the demo for FFXII, and I didn't like what I played. Is the gameplay from the demo and the actual game the same? (If not, I'd probably try it out once more.) There were summonings?

I missed Sony's press conference, but I did hear (read) that God of War 3 was announced. Seeing that I'm no fan of the greek-ish theme, that didn't do much for me. I also heard that Sony's conference wasn't any better than Nintendo's. I suppose I shouldn't have ever watched the conference to begin with. I didn't start watching these conferences till last year only because I thought I was missing something that wasn't shown on the floor with X-play's crew. Watching the people talk on and on is boring. (Thought I'd see a bunch of demos) No comment about Nintendo. Apparently, my definition of a casual gamer is messed up. They were saying something about Nintendo was aiming at the casual gamers instead of the more hardcore gamers. (What?) The stuff I saw from Nintendo looked more geared towards family. And here I thought a casual gamer was into some of the high profiling games but not heavily into all of the big games. (Sorry if that don't make any sense) i.e. I like the Metal Gear Solid series, a Final Fantasy game, and a couple of fighting games, but I don't play GTA, Mario, Pokemon etc...

Actually, my new comrade in-training. You're better off moving the thread instead of closing it. "Holy crap" I somehow managed to overlook the thread. "Tries to remember the correct way of moving threads =p"

I should be playing Dragon Quest 8, but I just don't feel like it. [strike]I only have a PS2 and Gamecube at the moment. (My mom has a DS, but she won't let me buy anything for it, so "shrugs") And I don't think I'll have any of the newer consoles before the year is up so if we can keep those games crossed off for the time being.[/strike] I tend to stay away from ALL musical games, so please don't waste your time suggesting Dance Dance Revolution or Guitar Heroes. [strike]I'll probably end up deleting your post by accident or something[/strike] I also stay away from the GTA series as well as Mario games. (Picky indeed.) S/T RPGs are another variety of games I stay away from. I suck at em, and I don't be up to thinking so much. And then I tend to stay away the Soul Caliburs and Tekkens. You can probably suggest some racing and sports games, but chances are I won't play them. Rare gems that has the same price of an used PS2 (Marvel vs Capcom 2, Shin Megami Tensei) don't need to be mentioned. Don't be afraid to shout out some PS games.... My brother has Zelda: Wind Waker. Chances are that I'll end up remembering if I played this or that when the games are mentioned. So, fire away.
Wow, now I really have no idea which console to get. Guess I'll end up waiting until the cycle is practically over, like I did last time. :p ~Dagger~
Indeed, although I'm still not convinced to get a Wii.

This is some good stuff.
What there is to do depends a lot on your interests.
At this point, I'm actually willing to try some new things... Golf for instance, and in the winter I'd probably go up to Colorado and try snowboarding/skiing. I've never been into medival settings. A Knight's Tale was the only medival setting theme I actually liked. (No God of War or King Arthur for me.)
Well, it gets so hot there that the sun just ruins cars by eating up the paint jobs, so beware of that. And I'm sorry, I know you said to besides the heat. Also, BEWARE OF BURGLARS!!!:o Heh heh...that's just my personal warning as I am paranoid about robbers, burglars, kidnappers, etc.:animeswea
I've read/heard about some of the jokes for the the heat in Arizona. Hopefully the apartment I end up in will be/have air conditioned/ners. As far as burglary, if they're desperate enough to steal from someone whose going to be living off of Hot Pockets and Ramen, then by all means, I'll spare a couple of dollars to share the food. Or are people stealing air conditioners or something? I'm not worth anything and it's just me that's moving to Arizona so I doubt if I'm kidnappable. Crime is really something that don't bother me (In terms of living in fear) since crime is unavoidable. Korey, as tempting as looking for women sound (And I am interested in meeting a latina... No reason really, just never had a conversation with one yet), I think I'm going to spend majority of the school year to myself and work before getting into more drama-ish stuff.

So I just got done watching the Microsoft portion of whatever event that was supposed to be, and while most of it was decent, I can't say that I was really blown away, but I did like some of the things that were shown. Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360. We knew that was going to happen, it was just a matter of time. I hated how Microsoft moved the camera further back so I could barely see a thing for it. I have a 42" flat screen and I would've loved to see how the trailer looked on the big screen. Star Ocean: Last (Lost?) Hope will be on the 360. I'm not a fan of the Star Ocean series, but I thought I'd mention that. I don't know why I always thought Infinite Undiscovery (messed up on the name earlier) and The Last Remnant (I think I misheard about the info on TLR) were going also going to be playable for the PS3. Turns out that Infinite Undiscovery will be only for the 360 and Mac/PC users will be able to play it as well. Other things that was shown was just repeats of what we already saw before, and then the whole Microsoft Live/Arcade support. I'm not a supporter of the whole Microsoft Experience thing. (nor live or arcade.. I don't support anything involving online play)Don't get me wrong, if you're into that type of stuff then you might like it. And then I think I mentioned this for last years E3. The single player type games (RPGs excluded) still seems like it's getting shafted aside for more multiplayer support. While I haven't played any games for the newer consoles, I've heard that majority of the single player campaign modes are fairly short while everything is geared towards multiplayer. (Halo 3 and MGS4) A trailer of Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe was shown, and unfortunately, I don't like it. I thought that Midway would've taken a different approach with everything, but it just seems to be another Mortal Kombat without the fatalities. (They're fatalities are special moves... I think) Rock Band 2 was mentioned... which I don't care to talk about. (I stay away from those types of games) Fall Out 3 and I think a few others.
-
I almost forgot about it seeing how there's so much that's suppose to go down this month. So E3 starts today. I haven't been keeping up with the gaming industry so I'm sort of in the dark about most of the games. (Heard about this and that, and know of a few.) There are a few of games I want to see more of though. The new Prince of Persia game has caught my interest. I didn't give the first three games much of a chance. (I never played Warrior Within) No doubt, the platforming was the best part to me, but I didn't care for the combat system. It felt like the timing was off and causing a slow response when a button was pressed. I don't know what the combat will be like in this new PoP game, but from the little snippet of a trailer I saw, it looked interesting. Street Fighter 4 is another game I curious to know more about. (SF fan for life) I only know very little of this one. (close to nothing) I know it's not going to be on the Wii. And I've seen some of the characters. Other games I'm curious about are: Infinite Discovery (mentioned last year), Final Fantasy XIII Versus, The Last Remnant, and Gears of War 2. I stopped following the whole console race as well, but I am curious to know your thoughts about whose going to come out on top? (regretful question :p) I'm of the opinion that all 3 will please it's targeted audience. Any expectations? What games are you hoping to see?

Mainly to the folk who lives in/been to/know about Arizona. I don't talk about what I do too much mainly because I don't do anything at the moment. However, October 6, 2008 (Graduation Oct something 2009.. And there are bonus / extended-like programs that'll help you finish paying off your tuition.) I'll be starting school. (6 fricken long years since I've been in school. You know how that goes.. Procrastinate > Financial issues > long wait) In any case, I'll be attending U.T.I. (Universal Techinical Institute. That car school that's been getting advertised all over the place.) I'll be in the Avondale area. I plan on relocating Aug 27 so I can get familiar with the environment, and get a job and whatnot (I want to leave earlier than that, but "parents money, parents rules" so I won't rush it.) Unfortunately, there are no dorms, but I do get apartments in it's place. The housing department emailed me a list of apartments to look into, and I must say majority of them sounds promising, some expensive, but promising nonetheless. I do intend to have a roommate though, so, yeah. Also, majority of these apartments that're listed are in the Avondale, Glendale, Goodyear area. All are fairly close to the campus. (1 in Peoria.) In case some of you want to know the name of a couple of these apartments: Palm Valley Luxury (Goodyear AZ), Northern Greens (Glendale AZ) What's it like there? Outside of the excessive heat and bugs (scorpions), what should I expect? I probably won't have any time for it since I'll be working and going to school, (6 hours every morning and work in the afternoon or evening) but what kind of side activities are there to do? I'm in Detroit, so I wouldn't know what kind of side stuff to do outside of going bowling, skating (fights), malls (fights), or going to restaurants. (All of which, outside of bowling is pretty boring to me now, atleast here anyway) I have a friend in Arizona (who I can't get in touch with for nothing) that says jobs are easy to come by. True? I'd actually almost settle for anything seeing how jobs seems to be dwindling each month. Uh.. It'll feel really good to get out of the state for a change (off of the EAST COAST/MIDWEST for the first time.) I haven't been stoked about anything in a long time... so, yeah. Go me "shrugs"

I'm having a hard time trying to convince myself to tune into the series. (It's airing on the Sci-Fi channel somewhere around the end of this month) I'm against protagonists who're kids, unless I'm mistaken about the boy? I'm also 0 for 2 when it comes to Gainax. I did not like FLCL, nor did I care for Dead Leaves, so that makes me even more skeptical about the series. Edit: Make that 0 for 3 with Gainax.. Just found out that NGE is done by the same folks.
Anyone else think this week's chapter was a bit, I don't know, lame ? I mean, yeah got the whole teamwork, don't give up on each other vibe when they you know, broke into Hueco Mundo and fought their way towards Orihime, didn't exactly feel they needed to spent an entire chapter re-establishing that.
I do agree that the chapter is pretty lame, however, I also agree with Ace as well. I think this chapter was just build up material to get everyone set for Ulquiorra and Ichigo. Perhaps I'm just underestimating Ichigo, (stupidly, main characters always gets a huge power boost) but I just don't see how he's going to be able to fight Ulquiorra at this point. Unless Kubo is stealing a page from the Saiyans... I don't see what could've changed from the last encounter. Renji... Can't say that I'm happy to see him again so soon. I actually don't like Renji anymore. But atleast he's not Rukia or Chad. bah.. Rukia and Chad >_>.
anyone wanna give me some reason(s) to keep reading?:animesigh
Nope. Ever since the whole "There is no real one" bit, I decided to stop reading for the story and just look forward to whatever kind of fight that kishi throws at me. (except fights involving Naruto.. Okay, I'll stop now =p) I do wonder, how is it that Sasuke's eyes have surpassed both Itachi and Kakashi's though? I can understand his eye's surpassing Kakashi's because of him not carrying the Uchiha blood, but what the crap? Sasuke controlling folks with Mangekyo...

Indeed it is a matter of opinion. But what's so upsetting about me not liking NGE? From another forum, the views I've been seeing was a mixture. So I would think it's either a love it or hate it kind of thing. I'm one of those that found Rahxephon to be better, but "shrugs". I'll try to keep things relatively short. (giving full detailed explanations on why I can't stand a series or whatnot) Gungrave - I still haven't seen anything better than this when it comes to character development. I think my only complaint about this series is that it falls into that trap that I've seen from some of the latest Madhouse. Using repeated scenes from previous/earlier episodes. Inuyasha - Re-read Naruto and Bleach, and then add in Shippo as an annoyance factor. Eureka 7 - I'm really bias when it comes to kiddy romance. With that said, I can't stand Renton and Eureka (nor the 3 kiddies), but everyone else makes of for it. As well as the artwork/animation. There are times when I was going to give up on the series because it just seemed to focus so much on comedy rather than an actual plot (or rather a lame plot with a boy trying to do whatever it takes to get the girl to like him.) or action. And while I'm not a big fan of mecha, I won't completely dismiss it either. (Mecha has been growing onto me as of late.) Scryed - I'm at a toss up with this one. On one hand I want to say I like it, but on the other hand all I heard was a bunch of annoying people shouting Ryuho or Kazuma. Then Ryuho and Kazuma repeating the same words to each other was on the annoying side. Hearing Steven Blum as Kazuma took some time to get used to, but it grew on to me I suppose. The only time I actually liked hearing him talk however was when he was pissed off. (Because it was nothing but intense yelling...) The fighting was pretty good, too, although the last episode, or whenever
they did the weird transformations
took a downward spiral. Straight Cougar is the best character of that series. Code Geass - (currently watching on AS) It's slowly growing onto me. I can't say that I've looked at many episodes, but from the ones I have seen (outside of that one episode involving Lelouch chasing a cat) were pretty good. I like the way Lelouch uses chess to due battle and whatnot. What's sort of killing any buzz that sparks whatever interest that arise, though, is that there's the school environment. I'm not much of a fan of anime when it comes to the whole school setting mainly because of the unnecessary fanservice that comes packaged with it, and they're normally chucked full of corny jokes. Not saying that CG has any of this, but it just makes me skeptical. I've skipped quite a few episodes, so I really couldn't say... I'm also missing out on quite a bit of info as well... Heh, yay for "On Demand" I guess. Black Lagoon - Read "Fav Anime" thread I know I've seen more than this, but I can't think of them, and I don't feel like giving anymore thoughts about em lol.

Can't believe I haven't posted here since the other chapter.
- I'm curious where Aizen's boundless confidence comes from. As powerful as his highest three ranked Espada are, they're facing the Captain-Commander and five other captains. I imagine Yama-jii by himself is a match for the #1, and Ukitake and Kyouraku could probably take #2 and #3 given their supposed status as his best students. This isn't even taking into account the other captain class fighters on Earth, as well as the Vizards who are apparently coming to tear him a new one.
I'm also curious about this one, but then again, Aizen is Superman without a weakness to kryptonite. I wonder if espada's 5-10 were just expendable pawns compared to the first four, because Aizen's definately not phased by the loss of them.
- Where are Tatsuki, Mizuiro and Keigo, and what powers will we see from them ? Oddly, this is something I'm disappointed we haven't seen yet, even though it was just a brief mention, it's still something I'd like to see. Of course, I'd also like to see Ryuuken and Isshin fight, but it seems there just aren't enough enemies for that. Oh well.
Honestly, until I see it, I just don't think they will have any power. The only one I can see with some form of power is Tatsuki. (which should've been her from the get go instead of Orihime) I cannot see Keigo as a fighter, especially fighting against an espada. Unless they're going to be the ones fighting the lower class hollows (that is if there will be anymore running rampant.)
- How the hell has Yammy survived so long ? Seriously, I have no answer to this question. He's the last surviving Arrancar above Grimmjow, is he just hiding or what ? ^_^ Here's hoping Chad pays him back for their first fight.
Where is Yami? (Wonderguy too) Err... I don't like Chad. I'd actually prefer it if Urahara finished off Yami. (Yami release, Urahara bankai... wishful thinking)
So what has everyone else seen/plan to watch?
Not a thing. Actually, I'm not aware of the new stuff. I've mainly been watching what's already been on tv or not watching anything at all. I did read about Funimation acquiring distributing rights (or something like that) for Black Lagoon, Hellsing Ultimate and Devil May Cry, so maybe/hopefully I can get my hands on those titles. Until then, I have to adapt to Code Geass a little more.

5 years... (or almost 5 years) Yeah, we're all for necromacy and all, but that's only for specific game threads (in the Arcade Thread Directory) and, besides, I'm pretty sure the pokemon folk knows this info already. Is this even a thread meant for arcade? What did y'all allow back then lol? Closed until further notice.

Oh my. I've never posted here. This is a good series. It's in my top 10. It's been a good year since I've seen this, I think. (I think AS did a repeat last year.. can't remember) The very first episode was entertaining. As I've said in countless threads before, I don't care for comedies. (Mainly because none of them are funny) However, Trigun is definately funny. And in the first episode, the part that had me crackin up was when
Vash chucked the gun at some random guy in the Bruce Lee type scream.
Such an off guard blow that had me in tears. But the highlighting moment for me was when Legato (favorite character btw) first came into the series. Call me evil/mean if you will but I found that part with the little girl amusing for some reason... The only annoyance I had with the series was Milly... or was it Meryl? (The short hair lady in white.) I can't remember why I can't stand her, I just know I can't stand her for something, haha. The artwork/animation. Honestly, for the old-ish looking quality, I didn't mind it at all. The characters looked well drawn, and no one was hideous looking. The action was really good. So, yeah, not too much to say about that either. Vash and Wolfwood are/were good characters, but as I said, Legato is the one who stood out for me. From the moment he first walked past Vash you just knew the guy was that deal. Again, he became an instant favorite from the mind games. Although I was a tad bit disappointed that he wasn't a gunman. But I suppose
a chearter
don't need a gun, but I still wouldn't mind seeing what he'd be like with one. That's it I guess.
-

"There is no real one"
. I swear, if that's the answer to what Pein is, I might as well stop reading the rest of the series right now. Where's the build up at? It's like since Itachi bit the bucket, there's been nothing to get excited about. Atleast that's how I feel at the moment. Perhaps Kishi killed off his best character too soon.

I like what I'm hearing about the game, both from here and review sites. I've never had issues with the long cutscenes in the MGS series (especially when they can be skipped), infact, I play the games for the cutscenes lol. I suck when it comes to the gameplay. (CQC and shooting in third person) Now MGO, I'm not really looking forward to it. Don't get me wrong, I've seen some impressive clips dealing with the multiplayer, but I just don't play games online. System seller? (Don't own a ps3 yet)
