1. Bah, can't wait for this chapter to be released... And because it's so detailed already, I'm gonna go ahead and just post it.
ch. 316
Let's stop the pendulum. A night has passed. Urahara wakes up to see Shinji who's face is covered by his mask. Shinji is not moving. Urahara apologises to Tessai for failing to cure them. Urahara goes outside for some fresh air but is met by the central 46 law enforcement. They are there to arrest him. He is summoned for interrogation and asked where he was last night. He is asked if he was experimenting on hollowification. Central 46 suspects that Urahara while in the forrest attempted to use 8 vice captain/captain level shinigami in an evil hollowification experiment. (Perhaps they were told this by Aizen). Urahara tells them that it was Aizen who did it and that he was simply trying to help them. However Aizen has 124 general shinigami and 1 captain confirm that he wasn't at the scene the night before. Also, during the investigation there was a report claiming the discovery of hollowification research going on at the 12th division. Also, Tessai has been sentenced to serve in the third underground prison for using a forbidden technique. For doing taboo research and experimenting on his fellow shinigami resulting in them being heavily injured, Urahara is sentenced to exile in the living world for eternity after having his powers taken from him. They then announce that the shinigami who are victims of this experiment will be strictly disposed of as hollows. When Urahara is about to object Yoruichi who has her face covered by a cloth kidnaps both of them and takes them away to the hiding place near sougyoku. Yoruichi has already transported the 8 shinigami (vizards) and the new gigai that has been being developed. After listening to Shinji for a while Urahara decides they are in the worst situation possible and thinks of the best way to deal with it. Urahara asks Tessai to use Jikantenshi one more time to create a barrier, he will then create 10 gigai for himself, Tessai, Shinji and the rest within 20 hours. Urahara vows to hide himself and spend his time finding a way to get rid of the hollowification. The scene changes to Shinji and co in the current day. In the same warehouse, Shinji says that Urahara said there has been no miscalculation and that is the first miscalculation. He says that everything has come to the worst possible scenario as expected. Shinji "For real, I am indebted to Urahara.... and then Aizen also." It finishes with someone saying "let's go" and then the Vizards leave the warehouse.

Apparently, we've come to the end of those chapters, and we're back in the present. There are still some missing links though, but hopefully those will get answered soon.
 2.
o_O Is that what happened? No one told me that being a Dessy fan would result in that! :o I'd better get it into my signature and quick! :D
Don't believe that. It's all jibberish. :) Take it from someone whose just now finding out about a Desbreko fan club. (Didn't get any invites..)
 3. As stated in the other thread, that I've started playing Dragon Quest 8, and I'm enjoying every bit of it. I'm on my way to Ascantha for the first time. Just acquiring Angelo and whatnot. This is turning out to be the best rpg on the ps2 for me. - I don't have many issues with this game, and the only issue I have so far is Trode. He's not as annoying as characters in other games, (Sora, Fayt, Tidus) but he is annoying, nonetheless. Other than that the characters are great. - I've always been a fan of Akira Toriyama's artwork, so I'm digging the cell shaded look. - Level grinding's never been a real issue for me, and seeing how huge this game, and giving the fact that you're rewarded skill points for your hardwork is refreshing. It sort of encourages you to level grind a bit. Especially with some of the tough creatures that you encounter randomly. I just wish it didn't take so long to level up lol. By the way, is there a way to check your status? Like in the FF games you can see when your character's about to level up. - The voice work is really good. I haven't ran across anyone with a voice that'll make my ears cringe yet, so that's a blessing. It's taking a bit for the music to click with me, though. It's not annoying, but at the same time it's nothing memorable either. - I've never been one to talk about customization in these types of games, but I can see the sheer amount that can be done here. And the alchemy pot adds more depth as well. It's too bad I don't know what to do with it at this point of the game lol. I did make a boomerang though lol. I'm thinking about buying the strategy guide, but I've read reviews about it, and majority of them stated that it's not detailed enough. Is it enough to get me from point A to point B?
 4. I lost interst in Rogue Galaxy. It's messed up when a ton of disc error messages can make you lose interest in a game. In any case, I'm also playing Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. I'm loving this game. Like the poster above me stated, the cell shaded graphics are enjoyable. I also like the idea of being able to build your characters up differently with different types of skills. It's a lot more refreshing then giving characters materia. I like this game a lot more than Final Fantasy X, which don't say much when since I can't stand that game lol. It's a lot better than the Kingdom Hearts series though.
 5. I don't know what to say about this chapter. - Aizen got to the old man before hearing Urahara's side? That's what it's seeming like anyway. - Aizen is a frickin beast. I need to see his ban kai. - Hm. I wonder who were the vaizards replacements after this incident? Perhaps this is where Isshin came in at? Aizen's a given. If I recall, Gin and Byakuya became captains around the same time, so I highly doubt that Gin was a replacement this early, but then again, Toushiro is a child prodigy, so it's possible that Gin became a captain before Byakuya... I can see Tousen being Kensei's replacement here, but if that was the case, he became a captain before Komamura (I don't doubt this at all.), but then other flashbacks don't match here. Unless Kubo does one of those huge time leaps, I need matches to other flashbacks.
 6. I suppose, you could always try to catch someones eye unexpectedly. And then get a suprise message.
 7. Hmm.. This request is going to involve three sets. (I just want one for the time being.) But I'm gonna let you decide which one to do. Also, if you can't use the pictures I provided, feel free to use others.
 8. Some interesting stuff. -Power rankings can now be tossed out the window, I suppose. Now it seems like it just comes down to "whose smarter than whom?" type of thing. (Sure, power is still apart of the game, though.) At this point I wouldn't be surprised if we see a 7th seat take down a vice captain. (or espada) -Turns out that Urahara did know about Aizen. So then this means that Urahara was exiled right after this. -Aizen's a sly devil.
 9. -Bah, of all the flashbacks, they have to go back to the ones where Naruto's being naive. (Flashback within a flashback... This one's gonna piss me off in animated form.) -And then of all people, Itachi chose to give some of his powers to Naruto. Should've been Kakashi. I just hope that Naruto don't have the sharingan now. -And what was it that Itachi wanted again? The destruction of Konoha? Sounds like puppetry from Madara to me. It's understandable if Itachi wanted revenge, but still, it just sounds fishy. -I suppose this means that Sasuke has Itachi's eyes now? -
Out of curiousity. How is Sasuke suppose to revive his clan when he's not into women?

 10. I beat Genji a couple of days ago, and turned my attention to Rogue Galaxy. I'm currently on the second chapter and fought 2 treasure chest type monsters/enemies. It's a pretty interesting game. Party members calling out suggestions and stuff can get a tad bit annoying, especially when near death because they call out suggestions too much, and then other stuff pops up on the screen, and trying to read it is a chore because it don't stay on the screen too long. (I think tips pop up on enemies weaknesses and whatnot. Can't confirm it.) It can get pretty intense. I've died twice so far. I call myself trying to be reservative in using items, but it seems that the game forces you to rely on items since the enemies can do quite a bit of damage in 2-3 hits. I think I may try to use Zegram over Jaster for a bit. Just to see how he is.
 11. So, I started playing this yesterday. (re-purchased on Monday) And for the most part I'm very impressed. One thing I wish these people would stop doing is making dorky, wimpy looking characters as the main character. Nothing against Jaster (for now), but playing as some boy who has a goal is growing really tiresome now. (And characters like that tends to be real naive.) Speaking of characters, I'm not even 30 minutes into the 2nd chapter, and Zegram (sp?) is already my favorite character. He resembles Snake (Big Boss). Gameplay, so far is pretty good. It's similar to Kingdom Hearts, but it limits itself from being just like it by the use of a subweapon and an action gauge. The story.. A boy wanting to travel in space... I don't think I need to go any further lol. Actually, it's pretty decent so far. I haven't stumbled across any annoying characters outside of that cat. The voice acting, like Rach said, is pretty solid. This ought to keep me occupied for a while. (And even if it didn't, I also have Dragon Quest to try out.)
 12. I was playing Kingdom Hearts 2 for a couple of days. (Tales of the Abyss was sold out by the time I came to a decision) Beat it yesterday. It only took about 4 days or so.... I'm thinking about replaying it on proud mode or whatever it's called. I like to start things off on easy and then work my way up. The cutscenes are great, and I like the button mashing and whatnot, but Sora, Donald and Goofy really got on my nerves. Ranging from stupidity to being naive (as usual), it's tedious. Not as bad as the first KH though. Anyway, now I've went back to playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. (Got the missing cord and center piece) I've forgotten how annoying some of the puzzles and dungeons/temples are. Well, not the puzzles, but you get my drift. Having to go back and forth from room to room searching for keys can get tiring as well. And I know I'm in for a pickle once I hit the water temple. That's my most hated temple outside of the shadow temple. Having me going around in circles only to find out that I missed/needed to do something simple can sort of crush ones spirit ^^. I recently finished the forest temple though. Disappointed that I got hit by the boss in our tennis match, but I'm still getting used to everything. Coming back to an unfinished game after several months (almost a year I think) has passed is sort of hard to recover from XD. In any case, I also have Devil May Cry 3 (beaten already) that I'm going to probably play again. Feels really good to play games that don't have anything to do with turn base. ---------=========== EDIT: Putting Zelda aside for a moment. (Beat the fire temple.) Can't remember where I'm suppose to take this saw. (Carpenter's Saw, I believe it's called.) Let's see. Yesterday was a good day. (Being accepted to U.T.I. and whatnot.) Got my hands on a brand new computer.. (good stuff) a 42" flat screen tv. And then the games.. Genji: Dawn of the Samurai arrived in the mail yesterday. I've been killing time with that. I do like it and all. Has the same feeling as Onimusha 3. However, I like Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams over Genji and Onimusha 3. What I don't like about Genji is the fact that the voices are in japanese with english subtitles. And there's no option to do a switch over. Now, it makes sense and all seeing that it's a samurai game. But I still prefer english. Another thing I don't like is that there is no block button. I suppose Capcom decided not to add a block because you can jump in it. The graphics are great. (This is Capcom, I shouldn't expect anything less lol) While walking on the roads the water is pretty to look at. This Kamui (slow time down) takes a bit of getting used to. You have to be picture perfect to get the timing down. It's no Shenmue or God of War, but it is pretty decent. Rogue Galaxy was also purchased yesterday as well. I had it once before, but I trade it in due to a lack of interest in games (in general) and wanting a Xbox. The first time I tried playing, it was only about a good 10 minutes worth, so I thought I'd give it another go. And finally, Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King (?) should be arriving soon. Like Rogue Galaxy, I had this before and traded it due to a lack of interest. (I blame Chrono Cross) And then my mom bought the DS for herself along with this brain teasing game. So I may purchase a few games for that some day. Mainly the Castlevania games. And perhaps try out them Phoenix Wright games. Edit 2: Update on Genji. Turns out there is a block button in it. I just never took the time to read the manual :).
 13.
I have to disagree on that. I think each Final Fantasy deserves its own thread - they are that different apart. It's not like the forums are overcrowded with new threads.
Haha... [strike]You don't have a "say" in the matter :p[/strike] Thanks for your input.
The penalties for loading up a character with materia are not nearly harsh enough, which lets you breeze through the entire game if you're at all smart with your materia setups. As long as you put put a Restore/All combo on all three characters you're practically invincible for most of the game because, no matter when you get hit, you can always immediately heal with your next action and continue healing with every action after that until you're back in shape. And then if you should happen to learn the enemy skill Big Guard you can just forget about ever dying again because you'll have a spell that casts Haste, Barrier, and MBarrier on the entire party for a stupidly low MP cost.
Oh my, I've never even thought about giving 3 characters Restore. I normally just give 1 Restore to 1 character and let that one be my healer while the other 2 are my attackers. But even with that, I almost never followed that because even my healer (Tifa, Yuffie, and sometimes Red X) was attacking. I'm pretty basic when it comes to customizing... but then again, you learn something new everyday. I gotta try Restore/All on everyone. Where do I learn Big Guard from? I've played this twice so far (and working on a third), and still haven't ran into any monster(s) that does Big Guard.
 14. No sir. The thread, in general is still Final Fantasy VII. I don't think comparing gameplay (and other uhh.. stuff) to other games of the genre is not that big of a deal, as long as it don't get too carried away. [strike]However, I could always move it to the "Final Fantasy series" thread. ;)[/strike]
 15. Er.. Where to start? While I do like Death Note, the first half of it anyway. The 2nd half has been disappointment after disappointment after disappointment. (I'm even thinking about dropping the rest of the series) I'm starting to see a pattern here, lol. Like I did with Bleach, I read the manga. (the 2nd half of it) Perhaps I should just stick with one lol. Cuz I've been setting myself up, too much lately. I don't know how close the first half of the anime was to the manga, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Light and L trying to outsmart each other was entertaining to watch, and easy to comprehand seeing how everything was explained.
Light taking out L and Rem
was a bit too clever, but at the same time I stopped liking Light for it, haha. Afterwards, I thought it was going to start getting real good, and it did in the manga. I know I've read that people didn't care for the 2nd half of the series. Mainly because of
L's death
, and that didn't really phase me. What did phase me was the removal of such detail. (Big and small alike.) When
that other shinigami (whose name escapes me at the moment) went looking for his notebook
I noticed that there was just way too much missing.
The squad unit that went before Soichiro's unit
as well as some important conversations.. Well probably not that important, but important enough, in my opinion. Also, a couple of episodes in the 2nd half, it just seems like some of the quality in artwork/animation took a dive. Nothing major, but it just don't look as good as the first half for some reason. The opening and ending themes are also garbage in the 2nd half. (especially the opening) But as I've always stated, I'm no fan of music where people are just screaming to be screaming... We'll get into that some other day. I don't have any issues with the dub. As I've said, I'm thinking about dropping the rest of the series even though there's about 4-7 episodes left... I think. With all that said though, my favorite episodes are all the episodes that involves L getting the upperhand on Light. Favorite character is L. (of course.) Misa's not annoying even though she has all the qualities that I can't stand.
 16. Lol Matt. I can't answer your question since I like FF7 for entirely different reasons. One being I like to just look at the attacks (limit breaks, most notably). (This is true for most FF games although I've only played 3.) I couldn't tell you a single thing about story lol. If anything, and I'm probably alone here, but I like FF8 over the other Final Fantasies. (Again, not for story purposes.) Even though I've only played FF7, 8, and before getting rid of it, little bits of 10. As for hoping for a FF7 remake. I wouldn't mind seeing one, although I'm in no rush to see one anytime soon. I'm more interested in FFXIII Versus. Only reason I'd like to see a remake is because I'm a graphic whore. It took quite some time for me to accept the graphics in FF7, mainly when you're walking in towns or on the world map. I can't stand that blocky look. But then again, when I first played FF7, I was just coming off of playing FF8, so go figure. I pretty much just ignore all rumors though, unless they're proven true. People tend to get really stupid over them.
 17. "Rewording" [strike]I don't know why I always gotta beat around the bush when I should just come straight out with it[/strike] Re-read chapter 188. I suppose my question should've been, how long has Urahara and Isshin known about Aizen? As for the Vaizards.. Although, I never stated them coming forward :) and telling their side, I do see them being kicked out before they could even get a word out. As stubborn as old man Yama-ji is.
 18. -So, it seems like any captain can be beaten (by lower ranked) if caught off guard.. Then again, I don't know, Byakuya (as well as Kenpachi) was caught off guard so many times, yet he managed to come out on top majority of the times. -Was that a premature ban kai from Tousen? Unless that was one of them quick second things, they shouldn't have been able to see nor hear. -Trying to find out where Isshin would come into play is really hard. We know that it's well after Shinji inc left/was kicked out of SS. I wonder if Urahara was exiled before Isshin even came into play? -Something's not adding up. From the conversation between Urahara and Isshin, they knew about Aizen. If Urahara knew about Aizen before getting exiled, why didn't he (or Isshin) come forward with it in the first place? When was Urahara exiled? With Shinji's group, or afterwards? I doubt if it was with Shinji's group. Maybe Urahara wasn't even in Soul Society when Isshin was there..? "shrugs"
 19. -Madara's a sly one. In some ways I think Sasuke just got suckered into finishing what Madara (and Orochimaru) started. -So much for Kisame vs Suigetsu. Does this mean that Akatsuki and Sasuke joined forces? (Somewhat) -This chapter in animated form would piss me off simply because of the flashbacks. Especially flashbacks of what we've already seen. -So I wonder if this is going to come to a close anytime soon?
 20. I just got done re-reading the fight between Pain/Pein and Jiraya. And as much as I'd like to see the fight between Kisame and Suigetsu, I think they should take a timeout to go back to Konoha. Pain's secret is the biggest thing on my mind at the moment. Kakashi's thought's about Madara needs to be put on the back burner for the moment.
 21. -With Kensei having so much panel time, and getting a better look at his character. Then the hollow transformation, now my dream fight is Kensei vs Grimmjow. -I don't know why I always thought Urahara experimented on Shinji inc.... (That's what he gets for being too mysterious lol) This has Aizen's name written all over it. Especially after watching the episode where Aizen left SS. So Aizen changed them to hollows while Urahara changed them to Vaizards.. Ok, I'm done guessing. -It's hard for me to take Shinji serious. He has the serious look and all, but his teeth just throws me off every time I try to take him seriously. XD
 22. Poor Sasuke. Thinking he beat his brother fair and square, only to find out he won on a technicality. Itachi > Sasuke even with a disease. :) Hm. I guess my question at this point is, where does Tobi/Madari loyalty lies? With Akatsuki or being a dark horse? I wonder if he's the only one that knew Itachi was a spy in Akatsuki. Interesting stuff.
 23. I have to say that they're aren't that many anime out there to grab me just from the first episode. Most of the "popular" titles took quite a bit for me to get into (Bleach, Naruto... blah blah), that is if I ever had the patience to wait 3-4 episodes for everything to pick up. In most cases, that just won't happen. (Eureka 7 got lucky) With that being said, though, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex was one of those rare titles (my so called rare title) that grabbed me from the very start. And it picked up even quicker with the
intercepters and the Laughing Man
(just incase) getting into the mix. And then there was 2nd Gig. Again, the first episode of that season was a hook for me. Samurai Champloo was another one that hooked me from the very start. The fighting was just that good to keep me coming back to the series. Although, I can live without the annoyance that is Fuu. Black Lagoon is the latest anime (and manga) from the very start. It's just too bad that I missed that last 2 episodes of 2nd barrage. (I lost track of time playing Devil May Cry 3.... DAGFLAMMIT) What I like about Black Lagoon is that there is no slow downs. Actually, I take that back, there was only 1 episode that was slow, but was giving tons of details, so that cancels it out :). Then there are anime titles that has great 1st episodes, but tend to "slow" down with the next 2-4 episodes and then pick up again..... Cowboy Bebop, Trigun.. etc.
 24.
I have to disagree on that one Phenom. Fighting games do get boring when you beat them in the single player mode, but I think when you have adequate competition in your local area, the games never get old. I play fighters online now and the never ending competition keeps me on edge and really can help most people see things or do thing that they never thought was possible before on a fighter. So I think fighting games have almost virtually inifinite replayablility.
That's true, too. But as I've stated, I've became a lot less competitive and prefer single player based games now. I stay away from playing online because at any given chance, I will cheat, and I don't want to go through the complaints :). There are still a few fighting games out there that I would attempt to play, but at this moment I just don't find this new stuff interesting. @ Crimson Knight. RPG = Role Playing Game.... Final Fantasy. At first I didn't know who you're were talking about. (Rage... I need to change that) Born, raised and still living in Detroit. And as a future reference. PM is the key. Just so there won't be any form of topic changing.
 25. Back then, (SNES, PS days) I used to be a fighting game nut. (Street Fighter nut) I didn't give other genres a chance simply because I didn't think none of them suit my taste, and I happened to be competitive about it. (I'm no where near competitive now. I'm all about relaxing and just playing games... to a degree.) I used to play Mortal Kombat. I had MK1-4 (and wanted to trash 4) I officially stopped playing after 4 though because everything was rundown. I liked the combo's in 3 (painfully hard to remember) and all, but doing fatalities was becoming more and more pointless. (Part of the reason why I won't attempt to play the newer MK's) I think I would always be a SF's and a KoF's fan. I'm also a fan of the Dead or Alive and Virtua Fighter series as well. Tekken got tiresome after TTT, and Soul Calibur got tiresome after 1. (I can say the same about the others.. but "shrugs") Now I'm more into action/adventure games such as Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. (Rachet and Clank type games don't do anything for me. So I just stay away from those.) While it's true, once those games are finished, they get boring, but the same can be said about fighting games. Especially when you've beaten them dozens of times, and have only one controller.. "coughs" Even then, I'm more into single player type games (now) anyway. I also tend to stay away from games like Grand Theft Auto.. For some reason I just don't like them even though I've never played them. RPG's have been added to my list as well. Although, I'm fairly picky about them. There used to be a time (during my Fighting game only era) where I would never play a RPG until I came across Final Fantasy 8. With that being said though, I only play FF7 and 8 out of the entire series. (I've been becoming fond of Action RPG's too.)Depending on the look of the game, I wouldn't (won't) even bother with some of them, especially if everything looks really kiddy. Don't be alarmed btw. I play these for entirely different reasons than everyone else. What else... FPS I play on sometimes. The only ones I've ever played was Halo 1 & 2. Goldeneye007 and Perfect Dark. And I'm satisfied with just playing those. Outside of Halo 3 and Gears of War, nothing else really became interesting to me. What would the Metal Gear Solid series be categorized as? I know people call it a tactical espionage, but would that be action or adventure?
