I don't know if I'd say Jiraya is above Itachi, that is if we're going by what TwistedChick said about Orochimaru being equalled to Jiraya. Before the time skip, I recall Orochimaru stating that Itachi was better than him. (Not sure, I refuse to go back that far and try to try to confirm that.. plus I can't put up with them when they're that young XD) After the time skip though, Sasuke said neither he nor Orochimaru was strong enough to fight Itachi. (Same chapter where Orochimaru stopped Sasuke from doing some Jutsu, I think.) As far as Kakashi, hm.. I'd give Kakashi the benefit of the doubt, but if I'm not mistaken, Itachi didn't want a war, and this is just speculation here, but I think Itachi used Tsukiyomi on Kakashi because they were running short on time. (Before reinforcements arrived.) Heh, perhaps it does come down to abilities/skills instead of power.

"Itachi's pissed". Now that's comedy :p As lame as I think Itachi's reasons for keeping Sasuke alive, can't help but to admit that the guy is still probably the best character. (IMO) Even though it was genjutsu, I wonder how many moves ahead is/was Itachi thinking. But seeing Tsukuyomi actually broken (very hard for me to see it, though, because everything was too dark.) and seeing Itachi actually in pain, this fight has now gotten me very intrigued. First time we've seen Itachi actually use a hand sign. I wonder how close does Itachi stack up against Pein.

I've recently given up on the anime. Well, actually, I gave up on it around New Years (close to or a little bit after.) I'll get back to that in a bit. Hmm.. The dub, I'll admit that the english voices has improved, but it's still not really all that. I do have some catching up to do, though, because I stopped watching after Rock Lee was fighting Kimmimaru (sp?). My issues with the dub is that the voices were really dull or annoying, and then the dialogue itself was really crappy, and I still haven't seen the original. Uhh... I'm not a fan of the animation either, because it's inconsistent. Some of the fights are pretty good (Orochimaru vs Sasuke was one as well as Rock Lee vs Kimmimaru), but the characters look really hideous in those episodes as well. Kind of hard to enjoy a good fight when the characters are looking hideous lol. As I've said, I gave up on this anime, and that's because of the pacing. I commend the rest of you because I cannot stomach the constant episode recaps in almost every other episode. Not to mention the flashback episodes, which I don't have much of problem with since those are pretty much character info, and whatnot. But mixing flashbacks and recaps in the same episode is entirely too much, and it's not needed at all. Not to mention they also spend a lot of time having characters stand still posing and whatnot, or my personal favorite, staring at another character in amazement for umteen minutes. Honestly, all the time they spend on some of this stuff could be spent on more plot development, or more fighting. With all that being said, I gotta ask this. My issues with the pacing, and the inconsistent animation, should I even bother with Shippuuden when it gets dubbed, or do they improve on those issues?

Bourne Ultimatum - Finally, after 3 long impatient months, I got to see BU. By far, this is my favorite movie of 2007. But then again I'm pretty bias when it comes to the Bourne series. I thought it had a good ending, although, it did leave me questioning a few things, such as:
Everyone involved in the Blackbriar incident, did they go to jail or what?
I know they leave that type of stuff for you to figure out. (They do that stuff a lot in Law & Order SVU) I probably have to watch it again because I probably didn't hear everything. (kind of hard when there's constant talking during movies in this house.) Mr. and Mrs. Smith - Another good movie. I didn't think Brad Pitt could be funny and random. It's probably just me, because straight faces tends to crack me up. I'm not one that really cares about being romantically involved and whatnot, but I can imagine being in a relationship just like that. I think that'd be a lot of fun. A shoot out with your wife can be an adrenaline pumper. (Don't mind me, I'm just weird that way lol) XD Ok, I'll stop now.

Ninja Scroll - Saw it on the Sci-Fi channel day before yesterday. I've forgotten how good this movie was. Even while it's edited, it was still good. Majority of the cussing has been taken out, and of course the nudity and sex/rape was taken out as well, but the gore remained in tact. Not that I really have anything against sex or anything, but I do feel that it was better without it. But that's just me though. (Simple-minded and just looking for action as usual XD) The animation is really good even if it is old. A lot of the characters need some work on the face though. The dub is also pretty good, but my main issue with it is Jubei's voice. He just sound.. "bleh". One moment he sounds boring and the next he sounds phony. Last Exile - I found this by coming across the AZN channel. While I can't say much about the story, because I'm pretty lost. What draws me into this one is the animation, which is hawt btw. Perhaps on par with or even better than Ghost in the Shell: SAC. (That says a lot because I consider GitS to have the best animation.) Alot of times I consider Gonzo to have inconsistent animation, because of how some of their characters look really good in one episode, and then the next one or two episodes they look hideous. But I've only seen about three or four episodes, and it seems pretty consistent so far. Just to nitpick a little bit. For this to be a futuristic anime, you'd think their aircrafts would look more futuristic. Them jet planes or whatever they're suppose to be looks more old school-ish than futuristic. Read or Die OVA - Another one that I managed to catch on the sci-fi channel. This one was interesting, but at the same time a little bit on the annoying side. The paper agent woman, the way she used paper as a weapon, and other stuff was very intriguing, and the character herself ranged from interesting to annoying. (She's pretty much my only problem with this one.) After taking care of whatever, and asking for the book back had me chuckle a couple of times, but then it got annoying. She's not a bad character, just one of those naive ditz that can get on my nerves very quickly. (Much like Misa in Death Note) The animation was also great, too. Does the series look as good as it's OVA counterpart, because I may check it out one day? That's it for now. The next thing I'll be checking out is Hellsing Ultimate. (Starts airing on Starz Edge on the 12th.)

The only type of merchandise I have are the Samurai X DVD's and Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho VHS (heh). I don't have much room to actually collect all that other stuff, but if I do ever decide to collect any type of merchandise, it'll probably be box arts.
After all the trash-talking his done
about how strong his hierro is, I really hope he doesn't just die straight away. I mean seriously, Yamamoto is looking more an more foolish with every Espada that's killed, yeah I mean Yamamoto and not Aizen. His idea to wait until Winter and actually give Aizen time to awaken the Hyogoukou, due to the fact he assumed the Arrancar were so powerful to fight directly is backfiring badly. Had he supported Ichigo right away and assaulted Aizen before his powerbase was established, the war would have been averted entirely.

If I recall, Kenpachi said that the old guy stated winter because he thought they needed 4 months to pass through that thing Urahara made, when Urahara only needed a month. Not the exact words, but it's something along those lines.

Well, I would think Sasuke does have one jutsu in his bag we haven't seen yet. Whatever jutsu Orochimaru stopped Sasuke from using against Naruto and company back when they met up for the first time in a long time, I think Sasuke'll unleash it in this fight. I don't have anything to say about this chapter.

After that
final slash Kenpachi dealt to Nnoitra
, I'd say he's going to release. That just seems predictable, perhaps a little too predictable. I just hope they don't turn Nnoitra into one of them whiny villains (like Cell, Frieza) because he's on the losing end.
Nnoitra's hole in the eye... With teeth no less...
. Kind of funny for weird reason. Err... I wait till the end of this fight before bringing up a certain issue again :)

As mentioned in the "What Are You Currently Playing" thread, I finally got my copy of the game. It's nothing special so far. I'm about 11-13 hours into the game. Most of my time has been spent on levelling up. My parties level is between 20-22. Just getting to Luin. Also, as I mentioned in that said thread, the battle system is interesting. The linear path fighting style takes a little to get used to because I prefer to run around my enemies instead of jumping over them. I did perform my first Unison attack... Cross Slash or something like that. The techs also take a bit of getting used to, when trying to combine attacks and rack up combos, which I suck at, at the moment. My max combo was 19 hits. Graphically speaking... I have mixed opinions here. I like the background and whatnot, but I hate that chibi(?) look of the characters. That's just never been my thing. My favorite character so far is Kratos but I use Lloyd more often the Kratos because it seems like Kratos is a bit slower when it comes to defending himself. I mean I was doing 3 hit combos and then pushing the block button right afterwards, but then enemy was still sneaking in an attack before I can fully defend with him, whereas, I can do the same with Lloyd, and block alot quicker, but I'm still getting used to Kratos so "shrugs". At the moment, I can't stand Collette (sp?) nor Genis. I have issues with children, and Collette is a ditz. I'm not seeing anything funny about the game outside of Raine and Genis moments. The voice acting's not bad, but it's not good either. It sounds alot like Naruto's dub. (In terms of dullness people lol.)

So I finally got my hands on Tales of Symphonia, and I'm about 11-13 hours into it. Like many other games, I don't pay attention to the story, but in this case, it's more like I read the dialogue, and listen to everything, but nothing sinks in. The battle system is interesting, although, I hate the GCN controller. I really do prefer the ps2 and Xbox controller. They're more comfortable in my hands. I've also decided to play Final Fantasy 7 again. This'll be my second time playing the game. And now that I finally have my ps2 again, I can go after Dragon Quest 8, Tales of the Abyss and Kingdom Hearts 2 (again, for a third time.)

Eureka 7 - While it looks good, I'm bias against the series itself. I have a personal hatred for the romance genre, and to make it between two kids (teens... "shrugs" same difference) no less is only adding fuel to the fire. Renton is less annoying than Shinji, but he's still annoying. Eureka was a decent character when she was quiet. I like the other characters, though, (except for the 3 kids) with Holland being my favorite. (of course.) I'm still watching Basilisk as well. Saw the 4th episode on thrusday. While it's interesting, I'm starting to get mixed feelings about it. For the first time I'm starting to wish that the episodes become a little draggy, in terms of fighting that is, because I want to see more of what some of these characters can do with their abilities, but the fighting keeps on getting cut short. And then the whole Romeo and Juliet... The romance here is more on a mature basis, but it's still annoying no less.

Two things. 1 - The psychotic look don't suit Itachi at all. Though it was only genjutsu, and I'm so use to his calm demeanor, I don't think they should've gave him such a look. 2 - Itachi went from being one of the greatest characters in Naruto, to almost one of the lamest. More than likely it's just me, but his whole reasoning to leaving Sasuke alive was lame--just for his eyes, you can't get any lamer than that. (Orochimaru tried. Don't need to see it again with Itachi. >_>) That tidbits of information about Madara was interesting. Minus the whole eyes stealing Minus the lameness, it was interesting chapter, but like Ben Holiday, I just want the fight.

Bah, if there's a mistake or anything, I'm bringing this to the first page. Computer kind of crapped out on me in the middle of merging. Anyways, Revelation did a naughty, j/k. But I don't really think we need 2 different threads about ME. On-topic.. sort of. I never really did pay much attention to what Fox or any other type of media out there have to say about games in general. I guess they wanna push for an AO rating. "shrugs"

Adding fuel to the fire lol. Neon Genesis Evangelion - Heh, I'll admit right now that I lack the brain capacity to comprehend majority of everything of what was happening, and I hate doing a lot of thinking lol. With that being said, depressing and psychological animes aren't my thing. (Judging from NGE, they give me tons of headaches.) I really wish I did some research before tuning into it on AS. Story - "sighs" With all the depression going on, it was hard for me to even grasp the story. Animation - For an old series, it looked really good. Characters - Heh, my biggest gripe of all. SHINJI. Hate is a strong word, but I truly hate this boy. (His VA didn't make it any better.) I cannot stand characters with no backbone, and I was pretty much done with the series when Shinji started whining about everything. And foolishly, I let people talk me into sticking with the series... "Stick with it, it get's better." X_X Shinji gets worst (That boy is an anime killer) and; In comes Asuka. Which I thought she would make the series a little more interesting. For a moment she did, and then like Shinji, she's going through all this depression. Rei... Do I really need to say something about her? Misato was a decent character until she started going through all that depression as well. Truthfully, I don't like any character in NGE, and as I said, the depression made it hard for me to catch any part of the story. And then that ending.... which was a headache in itself. The only type of animes to ever make me want to put a hole in my tv are the ones that pisses me off. (The ones that just gotta have some type of animal being killed and I try to avoid those at all cost because I tend to take it out on others lol.) NGE made me want to put a hole in my tv just because it made my brain tired.

Welcome, DaftKittyCat. Otakuboards has a strong emphasis on conversation. Meaning you have to put a little more thought into your post. Explain what you like about the game. Why you like the older games over it, and whatnot. DETAILS. I encourage you to get familiar with the rules as well as read the stickies before posting anymore. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or any other member of the staff. Boom.

Wild Hogs - Just saw this movie about an hour or 2 ago, and while it's not the funniest movie out there, it does have it's moments. The funniest parts, I was expecting to either come from Tim Allen or Martin Lawrence. I was caught off guard by the computer geek. (Forgot his name.) He was so stupid till you couldn't really help but chuckle at him. Invincible - I didn't see all of it, but from what I saw, it was a good football movie. I probably need to go back and watch it again, but chances of that happening is none. Death Sentence - Another movie I didn't see much of, but from the bits that I did see, it was really good. I haven't seen a good Kevin Bacon movie since Tremors, and I think I may watch it again.

^ Agreed. Really, people and their sensitivity over anime need to grow up, and get over it. It's really tiresome. With that being said, and Solo bringing up Akira, Akira - It's not really the worst thing I've seen, but from what I saw, I don't care for it either. It's old for sure, but unfortunately, majority of these oldies just don't click with me especially because I like good animation. Not saying Akira's is bad, I just hate the character design. Gravitation - I admit, I had no idea what I was getting myself into because comcast don't give much of a good description, and I didn't have access to the computer to see what kind of anime it was. Fast-forwarding through the 1st episode, looking for some action, and I come across 2 dudes kissing... :animestun

I also want to know what they were staring at. Some people are saying bodies.
Dordoni and Chirucchi(sp?)
perhaps? "shrugs" Another thing, I've never really cared for Pesshe(sp?) and that other thing, and no doubt, they're a funny dual, but they're becoming really annoying. Edit: Kenpachi shikai eh, I can see that happening, but I don't know. Don't really have any words for it. The eye patch. I can't help but wonder if it was a one time thing seeing how he only used it on Ichigo and haven't removed it since. Who knows, perhaps Tousen and Komamura wasn't worthy enough for him to remove the patch again.

You do have a point, Raiyuu, about Zomari, that is. However, the fight between the mad scientists is now over.
With Mayuri beating Szayel far too easily
, but then again, I guess you can say it's because he cheated and did research. :) I just know somebody is going to talk about it so I might as well bring it up now.
Mayuri, is um, weird...(that's not the word I'm looking for) I have a friend who said that he was going have a daughter, and wait till she was 18 so he could rape her.
I know some weird people lol. Now hopefully there's no more stalling so we can get on with the main fight.

So, a new chapter has been released (Took em long enough). Nothing really happening outside of what Zen said it would be. Genjutsu vs Genjutsu. This is probably one of those fights that has to be seen in motion to get a full enjoyment out of it. For a brief moment though, I thought they were going to show another long flashback dealing with Sasuke and Itachi. And the way I'm feeling about this series as a whole, I can't put up with another one. (I've already ditched the anime.)

While it's true that I'm no fan of the SC series, but I'm also not a fan of the Star Wars series. But seeing that trailer, I can't help but laugh at it. Like Sandy, I don't think it's a big deal like other message boards are making it out to be. I'm actually curious about what kind of moves they'll give Darth Vadar. Seeing how I've never seen much of the movies, I don't know any of his abilities outside of "The Force".
War - Not exactly what I expected but it was better than my minimum standard. It's not the action-packed "i'll try to kill you and you try to kill me" movie I thought it was going to be; however the story behind chasing the Rogue was interesting.
Agreed. Although, I was a little disappointed. Give or take who the people are in this movie, I was expecting a little more fighting. The fighting wasn't bad but, since The Protector, action movies hasn't really been that great anymore lol. But I actually like the story in War. I pretty much like most stories where you gotta figure out "who did it". Shoot em Up - I never wanted to see this movie from jump street, but the gunfights were pretty good. Everything else, I didn't care for. Stomp the Yard - This is the only movie dealing with dancing that I like. (Outside of Breakin and Electric Bugaloo) I don't know what goes on in them fraternities (sp?), but it didn't give any influences on me joining one either. In the end, me and my sister likes to mimic this one for random moments lol. Ghost Rider - "sighs" It's decent, storywise, granted that I don't know anything about Ghost Rider/Johnny Blaze. And seeing how I watch these superhero movies only for action, I was disappointed. Honestly, outside of Blade, Spider-Man and Batman Begins, none of these hero movies are any good, and I don't know why I keep expecting them to be any different. I'm still waiting to see Bourne Ultimatum >_> Favorite series so far.

Hmm.... Detroit... The most known city in Michigan. The Motorcity - That should explain itself, but, honestly, we shouldn't even be called the motorcity anymore. Chrylser, Ford, and GM are doing terrible. All this laying off and crap. If anything, they're struggling to survive. Perhaps it's time to start looking into Toyota... Nissan or something. Motown - I never did know why we were called Motown, nor do I really care, but I figure that it's probably because most of your oldie legends (Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross...) were born here and whatnot. Leave it to me, I'd say we were known for crime, but I found out that our crime rate went down last year... "shrugs" Could've fooled me.

It's been a while since I've actually had something to play. Since I beat Chrono Trigger, I haven't really had an interest to play anything else besides Kingdom Hearts 2 (for some reason), as well as Dragon Quest VIII and some a few of the Tales "of" games. Anyways, I started playing The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker yesterday. Not far into it at all. Just met Tetra (sp?), and got my shield. I like the little parry thing, but for some reason I couldn't use it on them two thingies guarding Tetra. It does feel just like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but the yellow toggle kept giving me issues. Since I'm so familiar with the ps2's and xbox's controller, and the way their games camera system is and whatnot, it feels funny on this Zelda because I'm used to tilting the toggle (right) to the right and the camera turns right... Instead on this, it's tilt right camera goes in the opposite direction. And then I realized that I didn't have to use that thing at all while running and fighting, so everything's good for the moment. :) If only there was a price cut on Twilight Princess....
