Got some new chords and whatnot. I pulled the old and dusty (probably broken) Nintendo 64 today and played a bit of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Trying to adapt to the N64's controller feels funny, especially after being so used to 2 analog sticks. After getting reacquainted with the game, it turned out that I didn't lose much of my touch. Although I could've sworn there use to be a jump button... I have another playstation on the way along with Final Fantasy 8 again. (Going to put myself through that torcher again lol.) I'm pretty certain I already know the answer, but are those older Final Fantasies (those remakes) worth getting?
Especially when all I have to do is quit watching a show if I don't care for it. And most especially when it's easy enough to hunt around and find something that I do like, in both regular shows and anime. I never watch something I don't care for long enough to actually hate it.
Touche. Although I do have my moments where I would say I hate this/that show mainly because "hate" is the first word that comes to mind when expressing feelings toward something I dislike. I, too, don't bother with trying to watch animes I know I'm not going to like. I've learned my lesson with Neon Genesis Evangelion. (I can see the rage now from the fans :D) I was already annoyed with the first few episodes until Asuka came into play, but after her appearance, I've became even more annoyed with it. (Shinji practically killed the entire series for me.) And with me listening to online folk, I decided to stick with it until the very end because I heard it gets better, or in my case, less annoying. :animesigh And besides, I lack the brain capacity to reel all that stuff in. So, yeah, I normally just avoid animes I know I'm not going to like from the get-go. Mainly by looking at pictures, and sneak peeks/previews and whatnot. Bad way to judge, but whatever. BTW. Moe? Harem? What?

The thing is, I didn't start taking a interest in most of these games until I traded in my ps2, (regretfully :() especially Odin's Sphere, but I'll get it back eventually. In any case, thanks for your input.

Heh, although I do like Kingdom Hearts 2, I'm not a huge supporter of it but "shrugs". Uhh.. Another game that've caught my interest is The Last Remnant. Another title done by Square-Enix which is a turn based strategy? game. And I'm not even into these strategical games. I'm not amped about it but the way they have the gameplay setup, and the way they shift around the whole field looks like you're in some sort of epic cg movie. Last 4 games that I've been anticipating are rpgs.... Guess I can't say I don't like rpg's anymore lol.

I've been watching Dragonball Z lately. Probably not the choice many folks here would watch. But I had to go back to what started it all for me, and well, I've been craving it for some time. I can only watch from the Android/Cell Games saga .... skip a part... Buu saga seeing that's all I have at the moment. (recorded over my other tapes, that I am now regretting.) It's too bad that Cartoon Network refuse to start from the Saiyan saga because I really want to see it from the beginning. (Don't say anything about purchasing DVD's. I don't feel like spending any money :)) Still reading the same manga's. Bleach, Naruto, and Tenjho Tenge, although I haven't read TT in a while.
Longest fight scene that doesn't bore you to death Tony Jaa's long-***, unedited, uncut fight scene is probably my favorite. The name of the movie is The Protector, but based on the storyline, Dude, Where's My Elephant is a better description. This was the same movie that had the awesome Capoiera fighter scene. Part of the reason I enjoy Tony Jaa's movies is because of the ferocity his character has while fighting. It really gives him an edge over Jackie Chan-esque clumsiness and draws you in.
Gives him an edge over both Jackie Chan and Jet Li. After Ong Bak, Tony Jaa was my new favorite Martial Artist. But I agree, the fight with the Capoiera fighter has to be one of the best fight scenes to ever be done in a movie. I believe when I first rented The Protector, I looked at that one fight alone about 5-6 times before carrying on with the movie.
Good to see I'm not the only one playing Bioware's latest gem. Did you play though Open Palm or Closed Fist ?
Open Palm with Furious Ming. Almost all these games where you choose your own path, I normally start off with the hero route first. It's a habit :). One thing about my last play through is that I totally underestimated how good the Heavenly Wave technique is. Mainly because I didn't understand what a harmonic combo was, nor did I know how to initiate one so I just said forget that thing altogether. When that old hippy kept using focus in combination with Heavenly Wave my mouth dropped. Never again will I underestimate the elderly lol. I've been watching my brother play The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker lately. I don't really have much of an opinion about it yet because he's still at the beginning stages.... or something.
You know, that's interesting. People say that for whatever the visual capacity of a game was back then, it was good, but for me it's sometimes been the opposite. I remember when I first bought FFVII, and I knew nothing of the game because I was drawn to it by word of mouth. I didn't know how it looked, how it played -- nothing. But I distinctly remember looking at the back of the instructions and seeing a clip of Cloud in the reactor and thinking "what the? this game sucks!". Of course, it made no difference because that game got PLAYED, but I guess I was just used to games more like Resident Evil at the time (which I did consider as good graphic-wise back then). Thought I'd share that.
Same here. Although, by the time I was introduced to FF7 (real late... I had a ps2 before I was introduced to the FF series), I was playing FF8, and then I went onto FF10, and then came to FF7. It was pretty hard to adjust to that. (It took me about a year or two to actually come back to it after playing FF8) Eventually I got over the graphics and played it straight through. In any case, I beat Jade Empire last night. I'm playing it again, this time I'm going to see how it is taking the Closed Fist.

Jade Empire has taken up most of my time as of late, although, I don't really care for it that much in terms of the characters so far. Story is decent so far, although I don't think I'm that far in the game unless Jade Empire is very short. I just beat a tournament in the Imperial Arena. Say I beat the game, are there any other characters you get to play as besides the original choice of characters? Because I don't like these 5-6 characters you're giving at the very start.
1. Did you like it? Why or Why not? 2. Favorite Character? 3. How does it stack up to other Capcom fighters in your humble opinion?
I've had this game for a bit. (Street Fighters Anniversary) Thinking about buying it again because it's a Street Fighters game. In any case: Guess I'll put 1 and 3 together. Do I like it, yea.. but not really. I like it because it's a Street Fighters game. At one point of time in my life fighting games were the only type of games I would play, and Street Fighters was my favorite fighting game. Now 3rd Strike "ain't" a bad game, it's just that I don't particularly care for it compared to some of the others such as Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighters or Marvel vs Capcom. 3rd Strike seemed a little slow at the time, and I like all my fighting games with a fast pace. It's been a long time since I've played any of the games so don't hold me to that. And of course with the addition of Marvel characters I'm going to enjoy it more than 3rd Strikes Line-up of characters. Favorite character(s) till this day are Ryu and Ken. They're easy and fun to play as, and my way of cheating "so to speak" if I wanted to shut someone up.

Shocking. No talky talk about the "Re-ningan"(sp?) I got a little bored and started to re-read the chapters from when Naruto got back into town. (after Kakashi Gaiden) I should've started with Kakashi Gaiden because I do not, or rather, I'm not convinced that Tobi is Obito. However, I am starting to think that that Danzou guy is Tobi. I don't have any evidence. If anything, it's more like a "what if" type of situation. And the only reason I'm starting to think that Danzou is Tobi is because I haven't seen the guy since Sai's been assigned with Team Kakashi, and his face is bandaged (right side I think). And then there's that thing when old people try to get revenge for something that was done to them a long time ago. (Bah, I need to stop watching Law & Order: SVU) But then again, I guess all of that would seem too obvious. So don't mind me because I suck at these guessing games :)

I've never played a single Star Craft game mainly because I don't play games on the computer, so excuse me for asking, what is Star Craft? In any case, I was watching the Tokyo Game Show on G4, and, well, of course there were somethings that caught my eye. Lost Odyssey (sp?) - I forgot to mention this the last time, but anyway, from what I saw, it looks like the battle system is similar to Shadow Hearts: Covenant. They showed some type of ring where you have to do some type of timing for extra damage. Graphics looks prettiful, and I forgot the date it was suppose to be released here in the states. Final Fantasy XIII Versus - I'm not particularly sure if I really want to play Final Fantasy XIII because of the battle system in FFXII. (I only played the demo, but if it's different from the actual game let me know.) But I think I heard someone mention that Versus will have a similar battle system like an action rpg (perhaps Kingdom Hearts). And I prefer that type of style of playing over majority of these rpg's. Infinite Undiscovery - It's done by Square-Enix (and Tri-Ace). Don't know anything about it other than it's going to be an action RPG. (Star Ocean type combat.)

I'm curious. Did anybody get Halo 3 yet? Does it live up to the hype? What are your thoughts about it?

So I've beaten Ninja Gaiden, and I'm playing it again because I missed a few scarabs. I use to say it's my favorite game, but that's change since the camera prevents it from being my top favorite. (Now I don't have a top favorite anymore.) But the main game I've been playing lately is Shenmue 2. I've always had camera issues with it, but I still like it. I'm currently working to get $500 to meet Ren. One thing I don't like about this game is that Ryo's character has been dumbed down. In the 1st Shenmue he had common sense. In this one it's like common sense doesn't even exist. I won't go into details about it at the moment though. :) Voice acting is also an issue, but they've always had some bad voice actors. Anyways, I'm planning on buying King of Fighters 02/03 and Guilty Gear next. I need some fighting games, and so I thought I'd get a bit nostalgic, and go back to the good ol 2D fighting games. It's too bad all the Capcom vs Marvel/SNK games are so expensive.

Apparently I'm missing something here, but more than likely I'll have to wait for the explanation.
I thought former espadas had 3 digits. If Nell is a former espada then why do she have 1 digit?

Excuse my bit of randomness here, but is anybody even interested in seeing what Naruto and the gang have been up to lately? Not really. I'm more interested in seeing the remaining Akatsuki's abilities. Especially Zetsu. And what about the fight between Sasuke and Itachi? Honestly, this is the only fight that I'm waiting for, but like Kei said, it's a little obvious that they're going to stall for a bit. (Probably for quite some time.) Oh, and does anybody have any guesses as to whom Tobito is glaring at? No. I stopped trying to guess things a while ago because I just suck at it.

This may sound a bit mean, but I'm kind of hoping Jiraya kicks the bucket. The same issues I had with Naruto, I have with Jiraya. (Don't mind me lol) Anyways, for some reason I always thought that the 2 statues were the first 2 hokages, and it didn't even cross my mind to compare the white spikey haired hokage (2nd hokage right?) to the spikey haired statue guy. (I need to learn to remember names lol.)
For my pick, I have to vote on this winner: Dragon Ball series! I have to pick this one because it is aired on television several times due to its popular demand... People really love Martial Arts and Son Gokou!
Hm. While I agree with that, but then the same can be said about Inuyasha. In any case, I normally just go by what I hear everyone talking about. (When determining what's the most popular anime) And that's pretty much what you read on the internet. Evangelion, Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, Death Note, Azumanga something, One Piece and Fullmetal Alchemist. (Probably Cowboy Bebop and Trigun too) I don't hear/see DBZ talked about too much these days so I figured the crowd sort of died down or something.

Now then, seeing how that's all over with, let's get back on-topic.

I'm currently getting a headache from playing Ninja Gaiden (finally got my Xbox), and it's not because of the difficulty. It's mainly because of the stupid platforming and camera. It's weird because back when I first had the game, I didn't have much trouble with the camera, but now it's just completely against me. But it's still a fun game once you get past the camera issues. I'm currently in the Ice Cavern. Them silly dino's were a pain to deal with as well, but most of my new encounters are normally a pain. I'm also playing Halo, but I'm only on the 3rd level I believe. (Truth and Reconciliation? Or something like that) Most of my time has been on Ninja Gaiden. I'm also expecting Shenmue 2 and Jade Empire to come in the mail. After that, I'll probably start purchasing games for the GameCube.

"Revive" So Comcast decided to put Gundam Seed Destiny on demand. The original Gundam Seed was on there at first, but I never watched it because it was the sub version. (Nothing against subs, I just prefer dubs.) In any case, I'm wondering if it's a good idea to jump straight into Destiny without knowing what Gundam Seed was about, or does it really matter?

There is already a Halo 3 thread made. It is generally a good idea to check to see if there's a thread on the topic before creating one. Check the Hardwired Thread Directory. Closed.

I have whatever was shown on Cartoon Network. "echoes" I'm rarely ever in the mood to purchase anime dvd's these days even though I need to fill in the gaps to certain animes since I normally just tape most of them. Out of everything that has been shown on CN, I don't have; Sailor Moon, Trigun, Paronia (sp?) Agent, Blood+, One Piece, Yugioh, Pokemon, Outlaw Star, Ronin Warriors, BoBo, Wolf's Rain, Witch Hunter Robin, Big O, Gundam Seed, Gundam Wing, and FLCL. So you can pretty much imagine what all I do have.
Not a single mention of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in here? There's something wrong with you people. . . .
Because Mario is evil :) Stranglehold is another game I may want to try out. Seems like a fun, mindless shooting game made for angry people. Although it looks like I might have alot of issues with the camera, but I won't judge it yet.
