1.
So to all you out there, what is your favorite anime?
My favorite anime is Ghost in the Shell:SAC Gotta rewatch it again because I still don't know the whole story... (Still don't know what a Stand Alone Complex is, lol.) but I will listen to every word that is being said, although I've never been into the whole politics thing. I can't relate to any of the characters but it has a nice cast. None of them are annoying IMO. The action is top notch (when there isn't any dialogue) which is always a plus being the action fan that I am. I consider this to have the best animation out there. (I'm pretty close-minded about it too so it'll be hard to convince me until I see it ^_^)
What kinds of genres do you look for when you search for new anime?
Action.
In any animes you may have seen, do you like anyone from it specifically?
Like as in finding one attractive? Nope. Or like as a favorite character? I have quite a few of them.
Anyone you wish was real?
Nope. (Y'all can have fun wishing things such as that :D)
  2. Inuyasha "cringes". While it's not exactly my favorite, and certainly wouldn't be a show I'd break my neck to see, however, it is fairly decent though. (mediocre really, but "shrugs") It's something to watch to pass time when there's nothing else on tv. With that being said, I'm thinking about buying Basilisk ($8 per dvd :)). Seeing how I missed it when it was on IFC. Do anyone know if they'll air it again? I see Samurai 7 is being aired again, and so I'm hoping that they'll air Basilisk. I'm also thinking about buying Yu Yu Hakusho ($4 per dvd). The Three Kings saga is being sold for a cheap price, and I think I may get it. Same ol, same ol as far as reading mangas.
  3. I could've sworn I posted here before. Anyway, I gotta get a Xbox 360 first before I can get any games. While I don't get too stoked about games in general, there are a few games that I'm looking forward to playing. Metal Gear Solid 4 - While Solid Snake is cool and whatnot, I don't really want to play as him in this one. I want to play as Raiden. I didn't have any problems playing as him in the Sons of Liberty. Other than
having to run naked
, I thought he was a fairly decent character. Halo 3 - There isn't much to say about this game that hasn't been said before. While there may be other FPS's out there that're better than the Halo series (Half-Life.. so I hear) I prefer Halo over all of them. I'm one of those who don't play Halo for the multiplayer. (So I don't care about Xbox Live) I normally just play through the campaign mode to blow off some steam, and/or kill a couple of hours when bored. Devil May Cry 4 - Again, there isn't much to say about this one. Time Shift - I don't know much about the game, but I saw one trailer where someone shot a grenade or rocket at the main guy, and the guy froze time, (or slowed time down) put the grenade/rocket in front (back or on the side) and unfroze time, and the tank or whatever was hit bit the grenade/rocket. (and went boom) Think Prince of Persia in FPS form, but cheating. :) I've only seen it once, but it was nice. Ninja Gaiden 2 - I've read that they're suppose to be making this one sometime down the line, but it's no telling when. Especially since they keep on freshing up on the 1st one. I have no problem with playing the first title again and again since it's my favorite game, but at the very least, the need to move on to the sequel instead of upgrading the 1st game. Shenmue 3 - I know, this game will probably never get made, but one can only hope it will. I want to see how it would end. Other games I am anxious/need to play. Zelda: Twilight Princess ..... ..... I think that's it.
  4. I highly doubt someone will actually PM you when you're the one looking for the help. You're better off just asking your question right here.
  5. I haven't really committed to many games to play for 100 hours. If I have then it's probably to Final Fantasy 8, and that's because I actually spent time playing that silly, yet addicting triple triad card game. I called myself trying to complete some, if not, all the side quests, but that card game made me impatient with RPG's for a while. (Still don't want to play RPG's at the moment.) If it wasn't the card game that got on my nerves, it was Ultimecia's (sp?) castle. I had all the GF's, but I got tired of trying to find a certain key or item. That's about all that I can think of.
  6.
Just out of curiousity, where do the rest of you read the manga ? Personally I get it from the same place miss april does, so Chapter 368 should be ready by Friday.
I read majority all of my mangas at Bleach Exile. I don't have to worry about long wait for downloading since I can just view them online. Chapter 367 is in better quality this time around, but most of the newer chapters have been in bad quality. (at these sites) If I can't depend on Bleach Exile for Naruto, I tend to go to Naruto Fan. (I stay away from the forum.)
Actually it was obvious that he was Naruto's father. However, who is his mom? Was Naruto born imaculate from his father?
Agreed. I think it was noticeable when Itachi crossed paths with Kakashi the first time. Or atleast that's how it was in anime form. (dub version) As far as Naruto's mother, it's mentioned in 367, which I don't feel like re-reading at the moment to get the details.

    Guitar Hero

People, I'm going to need for you to start putting when you're posting. (3 sentences shouldn't be hard to do, should it?) P014K, I merged your thread with the original Guitar Hero thread. Before creating threads, check the Hardwired Thread Directory. Carry on. :)
  8. Avenged and Digitalboy practically saved this thread, but I'm still on the brink of closing it. On-topic Nintendo GameCube - I'm not really fond of Nintendo at the moment, and technically, the console belongs to my brother. But he and I (my brother and I.... ;D) both know that I'll be the one purchasing most of the games even though we both share the same interest. Zelda. Other than Zelda, I don't really see us playing too many games on it though. That's it for working consoles that I own, lol. Xbox - [strike]I don't own one, yet, but I did order one yesterday. Hopefully, it'll be here before the week is out.[/strike] I sold my ps2 for it. (and games) Bad trade "shrugs" (Shouldn't be of your concern anyway ^_^) I know I'm going after Ninja Gaiden and Shenmue 2 first though. Ps1 - Doesn't work, and the lid won't close. I may get another one again because I still own Final Fantasy VII, and I can't get rid of it. Not certain if I want to either, but there are a few games on there that I still need to try out. (Xenogears) Dreamcast - Doesn't work. I really wish they continued making games for this console. The NBA 2k games were nice, but the only reason I had a Dreamcast to begin with was because of Shenmue. It was the best game they had to offer. I also liked Power Stone, Soul Calibur (which I'm tired of) and Dead or Alive 2. N64 - Missing cords, accessories. I only had about 5-6 games. (Zelda: OoT, Majora's Mask, Perfect Dark, Golden Eye, and No Mercy) I had no interest in the other games. (Till this day I still don't care about the games Nintendo has to offer at the moment.) But those games were fun especially Golden Eye when it came to blowing off some steam or having it out with 2-3 other people. I had a ps2, but like I said, I sold it for a Xbox. Sure, I still need to play Persona 3, but I lost interest in the games and console altogether. I thought I'd be able to get by with a few games, but I had a lack of interest for most of the games that were hyped up. I eventually got bored playing the games that I already had, and so I got rid of everything. Edit: Oh yeah. I may get me a Xbox 360 some day. I just saw an ad saying that the Xbox 360 costs $280 ($279.99). Is that a temporary or permanent price drop?
  9. ^ Same here. First manga was Naruto. I would go so far to say that I've became addicted to it at one point, but as soon as I saw it on Toonami for the 1st time, and as soon as I started reading Bleach my interest in Naruto grew very thin. (I even stopped reading it at one point as well.) I still read it, but I don't follow it as much though.
  10. Seeing how my ps2 (and games) is ready to be shipped (in return I'm getting a Xbox back for it.. Finally.) And my brother decided to buy a GameCube, there are going to be quite a few games I'm gonna go back and play. Ninja Gaiden being first priority. I never finished this game, and so now I can finally see how it turns out. Shenmue 2 is another game that I will be going back to play mainly for it's QTE's. Halo and Halo 2 aren't priorities, but I will get these games eventually just to do a little bit of co-op with my brother or sister. As I mentioned, my brother brought a GameCube and he plans to buy Zelda: Twilight Princess, and so that leaves me to get Zelda: Orcarina of Time or that Zelda collection. (Maybe both) I still have a craving to play Orcarina of Time though, so, yeah.
  11. I normally just watch what I've recorded which is mainly the shows from Cartoon Network. Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, Naruto, Ghost in the Shell, Trinity Blood, IGPX, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, and Yu Yu Hakusho. And then there's on demand. I've managed to catch the 1st episode of Jubei-Chan. Well, take that back. I haven't seen it, I was more like fast forwarding to fights just to see how the fights look. I did like what I saw, but what has me worried are the so called "fun" parts to it. But seeing how it's only the 1st episode, and that I was fast forwarding, I won't place judgment yet. Also, Eureka 7 is on demand so I've been watching that since I've missed majority of the episodes while it was on adult swim. I wish they would start with episode 1 of Big O and put Trigun (my tape is messed up.) on demand. As far as reading goes... It's basically your top mangas you hear about everyday. Bleach and Naruto. I have a folder for Yu Yu Hakusho as well, but I haven't started to read it. Tenjou Tenge is another one I read every once in a while.
  12. So I went on ahead and brought God of War. Brought it yesterday, and beat the game earlier today... about 4:30 eastern time. Boredom >_>. Storywise, "shrugs" while it's told nicely, I'm bias against it. (Like I said before, I'm no fan of greek mythology.) Gameplay. The action was good. There was nothing that really blue me away. The platforming was brutal though.
When you're in hell
, walking across the rotating logs (I guess) with the spikes on them, as well as climbing the wall with the spikes on them. I wanted to just chuck everything through the tv. Overall, the game was a decent experience. Although I still prefer Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry 3 over this, but that's just me.
  13. First, Revy, it's a good thing others have saved this thread, otherwise this would've been closed because of your poor posting. You can give more thought to your post, such as, what do you think of the games you're playing as well as how far you're into the game. (Something of that nature) Now, as for the topic itself. I haven't been playing any games lately, but I'm thinking about buying the first God of War. I don't really care for greek mythology, but if I do buy it, it's because of the action, and it's a good stress reliever :)
  14. I've never had that problem since almost everyone I knew was watching Dragonball Z (At the time it was the only thing I was watching and had no knowledge of anime). And since no one ever brought up the subject of DBZ, or anime in general, I never felt the need to bring it up.
  15. I remember when I use to play fighting games only. That's why I'm behind in games now. I didn't care about other genres. Now I wouldn't say fighting is my least favorite, but I wouldn't rush to get them these days since none of them are really pleasing anymore. Favorite fighting game. Power Stone would probably be my all time favorite because you can use your surroundings to your advantage. Some of the characters were pretty cheap though. Mainly the guy that threw a giant fireball. The only other fighting game (series) I would play this day in age is Dead or Alive. I also like the Street Fighter series with Marvel vs Capcom being my personal favorite. Too bad they cost too much money to be used games. >_>
  16. I didn't start watching anime until I was 16-17, and so my parents didn't really have a say in what I was watching. (As long as it wasn't porn.) They would say something along the lines like: "How can you watch this garbage?" Stuff like that normally goes in one ear and out the ear, but my mom would say it jokingly because I mess with her about some of the things she watches. My dad use to be all serious with it, but now he's watching everything on adult swim as well. (Can't be all that trashy if he's watching it.)
  17.
Anyway... As for the thread. I can't even imagine trading in my PS2, but then I just finally got one last year for my birthday and I already have a GameCube. And though it's not what you're asking, I'm curious as to what games you have played on PS2, since there just might be some really good ones out there that you've yet to play. It would kind of suck to trade it in only to realize there are games you wish you had played. I mean, that would be my recommendation, but then I've just discovered Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar 2 Eternal Blue for PS1. Those two games, even though they are the older style of playing are wicked fun. :catgirl:
I've had my PS2 for quite some time now. (I'd say about 5 years now.) And most of the games I've been playing haven't been very satisfying. It's been like, buy this game, weeks (months) later, I'm trading that same game in with others that seem to have been dying out on me to buy another game that I would quickly lose interest in. As for your curiousity, lets see. Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3 God of Wa Devil May Cry 1 & 3 Onimusha 1, (hated it because of them silly controls) 3 & 4 Final Fantasy X Xenosaga 2 Star Ocean Shadow Hearts: Covenant Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne Rogue Galaxy Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 X-Men Legends 1 & 2 Radiata Stories Marvel Ultimate Alliance Prince of Persia 1 & 3 Gran Turismo 3 Need for Speed Underground 2 NBA 2k6 Gungrave: Overdose Dead or Alive: Hardcore Soul Calibur 2 Tekken Tag Tournament Tekken 5 The Bouncer Virtua Fighter 4 Street Fighter Anniversary Samurai Warriors Dynasty Warriors 4 Matrix: Path of Neo Dragon Quest VIII Ultimate Spider-Man DBZ Budokai 1-3 Naruto Ultimate Ninja Indigo Prophecy Killzone I think that's about it. (Btw, I only own about 8 games out of all of that now, lol.) Majority of those games I've barely even played, but never found myself coming back to play them so I just went on ahead and chucked them. (Can't help it. I get bored of games real quick if I don't find them to be that great, or I've beaten them so many times to the point that there is no reason to play them again.) While I tend to be very closed-minded about my games I think I've become a little bit more open. (Alot more open if I'm thinking about going for a GameCube ;D) Other options are to trade the ps2 in for a dreamcast and psx, or an xbox, and just wait a bit to get my games.
  18.
For me, personally, it's a desperation act. I am embodied in my hobbies - my favorite music, manga, anime, video games - they define who I am. I am desperate for others to see these things as I do, as well I feel that if someone dislikes these things, they dislike me, and I don't take well to being disliked >_>
>_> And debating with them is going to get them to change their views? v from old thread v Animal cruelty - Or any kind of animal mistreatment. I hate seeing it. I hate talking about it. (I know, I know...) I don't watch anything with it in it. I don't play games with it. I grew up always loving animals, and to see people out there just treating their pets like dirt is something that'll have me pissed at anyone around me. Put it this way, I care about pets moreso than people. People who talk through movies - Especially the movies (or shows) where you're trying to catch the story. The moment when things start to pick up, or there's some type of deep conversation going on where you need to listen to every detail, someone just have to open their mouth. You tell them once, that you're watching this and they say "ok, my bad". 10 minutes later, they come back talking, so this time you tell them to shut up, and then they want to get an attitude with you.
  19. With all the stereo-typing going around these days, and I read Vicky's post in the What grinds your gears thread v2. What are some of the misconceptions people have about you? I have a tendency to stay quiet at times, (I was always the quiet type in school.) and people would think that I'm shy, angry or sick, but mainly shy. Truth be told, I'm none of them. When I'm quiet, I just don't be in the mood to talk, or I'm holding myself back from saying something that might hurt your feelings. And this is probably my fault since I normally just let people go on and on about some random topic that I don't care to blab about. I listen to / observe people talk about themselves, or some random topic, and people think that I need to give my opinion, or think that I care to hear there opinions. If I don't ask you for your opinion, what makes you think I care about what you think? When I start being sarcastic people think I'm mean and rude when these same people causes the sarcastic comments by not using common sense. Especially those who've been around me for a long time.
  20. Let's see here. Lately I've been trying to keep myself from getting irritated by ignoring most things especially over little petty things. But let's see if I can come up with some peeves. Parents who don't discipline their children (in public) - Now it's none of my business how you deal with your child, and truthfully, I don't care, but it's really sad when you see these kids thinking they can get this and that, and when you say no they want to act like they don't have any sense saying whatever they want without getting a slap in the face. Trash talkers or people who talk about you behind your back - I normally ignore most trash talk, (these days ;D) but what use to get me about your trash talkers is when you go to confront them they turn into a punk, and don't want nothing to do with you. People who think you're suppose to like what they like (mainly fanboys) - Because I don't like Grand Theft Auto. Because I don't like heavy metal. Because I don't like Neon Genesis Evangelion. Grow up people. Why do you care that I don't share the same interest as you? Your meaningless debating isn't going to make me feel any different for not liking it. That's about all I can think of.
  21.
I can't even imagine trading in a PS2 for a GameCube. Didn't you want Persona 3?
I'm not saying that I'm going to trade in my ps2 (yet), but I am thinking about it though. Yes I want Persona 3, or rather, I am interested in it. And like most of my other games, I don't buy new releases until the price comes down. (I also have other options, but you'd probably be even more disappointed if I said it ;p)
Well, the GameCube is now a bit obsolete since the Wii came, especially since it's almost like the Wii comes with a GameCube itself.
Agreed, but I'm a cheap person ;D Can't say I'm surprised to see the games that were suggested. Smash Bros, Zelda, Resident Evil were obvious games I was expecting to see on everyones lists. (As well as Metroid Prime and more Mario stuff) I just thought there might've been some hidden gems / games people rarely talk about out there that I might've looked over. (With Skies of Arcadia, Tales of Symphonia, and F-Zero being the only exceptions.)
  22. Whoops, I knew I forgot something. Yes, I like action/adventure games, some RPG's, and some FPS. But I'm mainly an action type person.
I enly emphatically suggest SSB:M because if you don't like it I don't care for you much as a person
I can't help but laugh at that.
  23. Kind of shocking to see me making a Nintendo thread since I don't support Nintendo that much. And there is no telling if people are still playing this thing, but I thought I'd go ahead and create a topic for it since there are threads for other consoles and whatnot. With me gradually losing interest in my ps2 (none of the games have been that satisying lately) and gaining a sudden interest to play Zelda: OoT, I've been thinking about trading my ps2 in for a Gamecube. (I really want my.. my brother's Xbox back, but I don't feel like adding money with it at a certain site.) Anyway, I'm wondering what else I can get on this thing if I decide to trade my ps2 in? Getting the obvious choices out of the way, Resident Evil 4, Zelda: TP, Zelda: OoT. Is Majora's Mask on here? (I need to finish playing it.) I'm not much of a fan for the Mario franchise, but I may pick one of them up just for old times. I'll think of some more stuff if something comes up.
  24.
You can use the cords from your GC(assuming you have one) for the N64 and it will run the same. All you need is the expansion pack even of it doesnt have it's cover as long as it's fully inserted in the system. You can play OoT and Goldeneye without the expansion pack though.
Unfortunately, I don't own a gamecube. (Such a pity.) Worded it wrong... I have the expansion pack, it's the center piece that you take out that's missing. And when I tried to play some of some of those games with the expansion pack (mainly Goldeneye and Perfect Dark) they would freeze up.
You can probably play it all day due to the fact it is the greatest game ever created. You can order a DC and Shenmue for reasonably cheap off ebay I did it recently.
Touché.
  25. I'm a meat person, but fried chicken and steak are the ones I can't stay away from. Every time my mom fry some chicken I tell her that I'm gonna stay away from it today, but minutes later I'm picking out 3-4 pieces of chicken. (use to be 4-6 pieces, only when the wings are really small.) Spaghetti(sp?) is another food that I cannot stay away from. (my mom's spaghetti anyway) I don't do takeouts as much as I use. If I do, it's normally a grilled chicken sandwich or grilled chicken pita.
