Okay...as some of you have noticed, I like to try out different banner/avi sets, and today I'm bord, so I'm asking someone to brighten my day. If you're up to it, great. Anyways, my request: It's simple. All I ask is a purple-themed banner, or any shade of purple, blue, black...you get the idea, but concentrate on purple. I'm game for any image you want, really. I do want the words - Open your eyes...what do you see? - on it. For the avi, just my name, Random. I'm looking for a dark-themed set. Anyways, it's really up to you guys! I'm just seeing who can come up with the best one by...whenever! (or sooner) Remember, I'm Random...I respect the art of random...lol. 'Till then, Ciao! -Random

Ok, frets are like little dividers on the neck. Notice that your neck is divided into different sections by a metal bar? Each part between the metal bars are called "frets." You press your finger on the string (that your music sheet says to) right up against the metal bar...and viola! I'm not sure how many frets there are on a base...anyways, hope that helps! -Random

OOC: wow, Alex is the focal point so far...one more character to add! IC: Adriana stood with a group of humans and low-cast vampires. In the center was the mutilated body of a vampire guard. It looked like a warewolf attack, but Addy new better. She had seen it before. It was Vampires who killed this one, but they were good. Even Addy, a vetran killer, had trouble noticing the signs. She glanced up, and saw a government official walk past. She didn't recognize him, and she didn't care who he was. She jumped up onto the roofs, and made her way back to her apartments. She had lived there with her late brother. He was a soldier, and was killed in the Wars. It was a long story, and she didn't want to dwell on it, so she just went to bed. She drempt of Alex, and how she would kill her... In the middle of the night, before midnight, she heard a wolf cry. She grabbed her brother's dagger and her sword, then went out, happy to have something interesting to do. Those damn warewolves are'nt going to know what happened to 'em, she thought maliciously. She searched the streets for them, but she couldn't find them. They must be outside the city. She decided to go to the gates, just for fun. As she approached, she saw the Vampire Gov. rep she saw that afternoon. He was talking to another vampire, a female. The female was talking. "You're really doing this Rain," she was saying. "You're going to see Alex." At the mention of that bitch's name, Addy perked her ears. "Yes. It's about time," he said. "I've been waiting along time for this, Nami. Don't do anything stupid." "Yes, Sir!" Nami mocked. Addy could tell that these two could be valuable to follow...for now. Luckily, they were traveling on foot, so it was easy for Addy to stock them. She waited until they were out of ear-shot, and then followed them, anxious to find Alex, and finally avenge her brother's death. OOC: sorry for the "low-budget" post, I've got to go to work. -
OOC: I'm taking that the worms are baised on the ones from the Final Fantasy series? If not, sorry, but that's how I view them. And Orcus, without further ado, our plan proceeds... IC: Jarrius circled around the moster, using the trees. He still hadn't seen it, but he could sense it. From as far as he could tell, it was huge. As big as a house. Damn, he thought, Tyr'd better be doing what he said he was going to do. As he was only a common theif, Jar didn't really know what to do when it comes to battling monsters. He would give it his best, nonetheless. Suddenly he saw it. A monterous worm, saliva dripping from it's mouth. It looked almost unbeatable, but he had to do it. For Tarma. It was a coppery-orange color, and didn't have any visible eyes, ears, or nose. Just the huge mouth that could easily eat all five of his companions in one try, without chewing. Too much thinking, Jar. Just do it. Jarrius saw Tyr charge it, the flames from his weapons seeming to give off a dark aura, and seemed to give Jar strength. He decided to test the worm's hide, so he threw a few stars at it. They all bounced off, and the worm didn't even seem to notice. Jar cursed under his breath, knowing that this would be the most challenging thing in his life, possibly the last. Tyr seemed to have his hands full, so Jar decided to just get it overwith. He grabbed his daggers, and jumped. Right onto the head, if you could call it that. The worm certianly noticed him this time, considering his twin daggers were sticking into it's flesh. Well, so far so good. He ripped and slashed at the worm, making it angrier with each fresh wound. Green gew was gushing from the openings, which was the worm's blood. He was getting cocky, and that was his biggest mistake, as always. He didn't notice anything: not where Tyr was, not the fact that Tarma had joined the battle, not that the worm suddenly decided to get rid of the nucince on it's head. Before he knew it, Jar was flung from the worm into the forest. He jumped up, eager to get back to the fight. Jar was thrilled at the thought of killing the nasty, overgrown soil-muncher...but he was getting reckless. He clenched his fist, searching frantically for a weak spot. It was then that he saw Tarma attempt an attack. The worm brushed her off easily, sending her flying through the air. Jar ran over, ignoring the worm and Tyr. "Tarma! Tarma!? TARMA!" he yelled, but he couldn't find her. She must have landed in a tree, or somewhere. It doesn't matter where she landed, all that matters is that that bastard worm hurt, or worse, killed, Tarma. It's going to PAY! Rage in his eyes, Jar ran towards the worm, thirsty for blood. Suddenly, Jar felt himself engulfed in a searing white light. The light didn't stop him, however. He kept running furiously toward the worm, which almost seemed to be mesmerized by the growing light. Jar leaped towards the behemoth creature, stabbing it deeply in the forehead. Surprisingly, the worm fell dead with two quick blows, one from each dagger. As Jar returned to the ground, Tyr was waiting. Tyr did not look surprised, but it was easy to sense he was. "Tyr, what is it?" Jar asked, worried at his leader's look, although comical. He thought that maybe Tyr was shocked by the fact that Jar had actually killed the worm, but he knew it was something different. Suddenly a single word escaped Jar's mouth. "Tarma!" He ran into the woods, which seemed to come up faster than it seemed to leave them. He searched for his love, and found her. She was passed out, and he scooped her up into his arms. He walked out of the woods, and walked up to Tyr. "She's hurt, bad. We need to get to Tanis quickly." "Use the light." Tyr responded tenderly. It was as if he was rendered breathless. "What...light?" Jar looked to Tyr quizzically, finally looking to his body. "That one," came Tyr's monotonous reply. OOC: Okay, Orcus...It's in place. Take it and mould it!

2005 was, well, interesting to say the least. It's my second (half, as the school-year runs different...but you knew that) year out of high school, and another year school-free! I lost my greatgramma in February, to an aortic anyorism. That was hard...really, really hard. She lived with us, and now she's gone. *sniff* On a lighter note, I went from friggin Tim Hortons, a coffee/donut fast-food franchise here in Canada, to friggin Mr. G's...a friggin gas station/convenience store. That transition coulda went better, but it's done. I had, and lost, my first boyfriend. Quite the experience there...if anyone's interested, PM me. I lost alot of friends, but gained...just a few. Shawna's a beotch, and she should die...anyways! I also turned 19 over the summer, so it's great. The "legal" age for, well, everything here in Canada is 19, so I'm "legally" and adult now, so, ya. I raved, partied, grieved, got drunk, cried, partied some more, cried alot more, then got drunk again...lol...my 2005 in a nutshell! Ciao! -Random

Okay, I listen to just about anything...let's see, modern rock? Not sure, but I do like System of a Down, Green Day (both old and new), and Fall Out Boy. I know, I know, Fall Out Boy this, Fall Out Boy that, blah, blah, blah. Whatever, I like them. In fact, I'm listening to them right now. That's it for "modern rock," if those three count. OOC: YAY! It's up! Okay, this post has only one of my characters in it, f.y.i. IC: Rain paced his office. He walked over to the window, his sword sheath clanking against his boots. He glanced out across the city, a look of confusion on his face. So, another one of my men, killed, by that damn group of warewolves. "Damn," he said outloud, his voice lost by the rain pattering on the window. Although it was mid-day, the sun was completely blocked by the usual clouds. But the rain was uncommon. It never rained here. "Ironic, isn't it?" said a familiar voice from the shadow of Rain's open door. "Raining on the day Rain plannes to reign? Quite the play on words, dont'cha think?" A female vampire stepped into the faint light cast from the window. Her short, bobbed hair and long cloak sparkled with wetness from the rain. Her boots left muddy prints on the expensive rug. Rain noticed these things. He always notices the little things. "What do you want, Nami?" he asked, not turning. Agitation edged his voice, but so did curiosity. "I've come to let you know that we're ready to commence, Sir!" she replied, mocking him with a put-on military accent. Now he turned, and drew his sword, Stealer. As he pointed Stealer at her neck, he said levely, "Don't give me any reason to kill you, Nami. I still need you." Lowering Stealer, and resheathing it, he said, "Who sent you to tell me this?" "It was Heinora," Nami replied, this time with her usual smerk. "You are to see her now, no questions. If you don't, I'm to force you." "I doubt you could," he said, smiling at his companion's joke. "Go ahead, and tell her I'll be there within the hour. I have some other matters to attend to beforehand." Without another word, Nami walked out, leaving Rain to do his business. Well, it's time. *** An hour later, after he had ordered an underling to clean his floors and he had finished his mandatory paperwork, Rain walked the streets towards Heinora's bunker. Thankfully the rain had stopped, and the sun was still hidden behind the dark clouds. That made the going easier. He never looked directly towards the other ones on the street, and neither did they. Although it was odd that he was walking, and without a guard, he was a government official, and they would never even consider looking at him, let alone ask questions. A few blocks from Heinora's, there was a large crowd gathered in a small alleyway. Rain decided to ignore it, but then saw what everyone was looking at. It was a bloody scene. In the middle of the gore was the body of another dead soldier. One on his side, too. Damn, he thought. I'm beginning to think these deaths aren't just random accidents. Maybe... His thoughts trailed off as he approached Heinora's place. He entered the door, and found himself in a small hallway, filled with guards. Strange. This wasn't here last time. He nodded to the guards as he passed, walking towards the door at the end that he knew was the entrance to Heinora's room prior to the new renos. He tapped on the door, then walked in. He was happy to see that he was right. Sitting at an old, wooden desk was Heinora. Next to the desk was a fire place, and infront was two chairs. Other than that, the "office" was empty. Heinora was beautiful, although she was a human. Long, silky, black hair, piercing gray eyes, and an all white ensamble. Almost breath taking. Almost. Standing next to her was Nami. "Ah, Rain. Glad to see you decided to come. Nami here said that you were reluctant?" she asked. "As always," he replied, playing along with the little game. "So, what oh-so-great information, that couldn't wait, did you interupt my work for?" "We've found her," Heinora said, cutting to the chase. She sat up, rested her head on her hands, excited to be sharing the news. "She's in a small human outpost just east of here." "Good work," Rain said, glad that they had finally found her. "I'll go as soon as nightfall." With that, he turned to leave. But Nami's voice made him hesitate. "You can't go alone. I'm coming with you," she said. Rain turned, glanced at Nami, then set his eyes on Heinora. "Is this what you want? Remember, I'm the ranking officer here." "Yes, yes, Rain. Whatever," said Heinora. "Just let Nami go with you. You'll need the help." "Fine," he said. He didn't really care. On his way back, he was lost in thought. Nami was prattling on about something, but he didn't listen. So, Alex, we're finally going to meet face to face... OOC-2: Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to put some back story into it. -

Okay, my fav. totally has to be Inuyasha. Why? Simple. Besides being the first anime that I've ever gotten into, as well as the one to start my anime craze, it just happens to be the best anime I've seen...so far. Other reasons: Me and my best friend, together, own all the movies, in English, and most of the episodes from the series, also in English dub. I do have one question, although it seems kina stupid. Is there an Inuyasha manga around? If there is, how would I go about getting it? I love the movies and series, but manga has always been better, in my eyes, and I'd love to get my hands on any manga. -Random PS: I'm not trying to change the subject, I'm just curious.

Alright...considering I'm helping out, I might as well start out. For my characters, Rain and Addy. Rain, a Vampire Noble turned revolutionist, will be on Alex's team...eventually. Not right away. As for Addy, she's not into the politics stuff...she just wants revenge for her brother's death, and Alex has that bulls-eye. That's pritty much it...any questions, just post! And, as V. Fox previously said, I'm helping out, so any questions you have for either of us, feel free to PM me if V. Fox isn't online...anything that you don't want anyone else reading this forum to see. Ciao! -Random [EDIT] Ok, one more thing. Since we're not allowed to double post, I'm going to post with both my characters occasionally. You'll see the format I'll use when I start, so don't worry. I'll keep the same format during the whole story, so just look for it! [EDIT-2] One more thing. NPC's are not only accepted, they're encuraged. Use them, make them the characters you forgot to post, or simply just filler. Anyways, NPC's are your friends. Or enemies. -

Ok, I have a question. How many pokemon are we allowed to use during each trainer vs trainer battle...all four, or less? Oh, and when we start, battling I mean, could I NOT go first? Just so that I can see how to do it...I'm still new to OB, let alone the Arena. Thx!

A story, you say? Huh, my speciality...lol. Oh, and I'm modest to boot! Anyways, you want an occultish...romance, maybe? That could work. Having a little love in a story is always interesting. Did you want the "mysterious" things happening to be like "Scooby-Doo" style, or more along the lines of something like Buffy? (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, f.y.i.) If you want Scooby-Doo, then it could be more of a comedy...but you said serious, right? Okay, will there be monsters and things that go bump in the night, or day, or just things like apparations, doors closing by themselves, and "evil black cats summoning evil spirits." Sorry, that last one kina got away on me. LOL. Anyways, just throwing ideas fors ya...anything you like, great...any inspiring ideas, great...just doing my part to make a better world, one story at a time! -Random

OOC: Okay, everyone, I need to say something. Orcus PMed me, and said that some of you were getting aggitated with my posts...and for that I apologize. IC: Jarrius watched the other "team," if that's what you would call them, walk into the forest. The three Slake seemed a little smug, but with Dred there, they should behave theirselves. He glanced over at Orcus, waiting his direction. "Let's go," Tyr said, leading the way into the woods. Jar walked beside Tarma, lost in thought. Tyr seemed really pissed with me when I told him off. I don't care. I do respect him, but no one, NO ONE, talks to Tarma like that. I'll protect you, not matter what, no matter who, with - my - life, he thought, glancing sideways at her. Suddenly, the air around him seemed to grow colder, and he grabbed absently toward his daggers. They had entered the woods, and they looked even more hostile now that they were inside. Jar noted where everyone was standing. Tyr and the viking, leading the way, were walking silently, while Tarma and Kanya were wispering together just infront of him. After a little while, maybe an hour or so, the group of five decided to rest and have some food. They started a fire, and were just about to eat when Tyr suddenly stood erect, looking this way and that into the dark woods surrounding them. "What's the matter?" inquired Tarma, voicing everyone else's thoughts. "Quite," he said in a faint wisper. "Something's out there." Jarrius looked into the woods. He did sence something was wrong. An erie feeling, chilling him. The birds were silent, and even the wind seemed to be stilled. He could feel a presence just beyond vision, watching them...

Heys! I'm looking for a Vampire banner/avi set to go along with the RP I'm in. Not sure if I want a vampire pic in it, but if you find a pic of a pale man in all black with short black hair, that would be great. You could just phase it out a little, so it's like he's in shadows. Anyways, I would like the whole thing to be really dark, obviously. The works I'd like are these: "The souls of the damned call..." for the banner. (in blood red) "Rain" for the avi. (any dark, vampire-ish color you like) If anyone could do this for me, it would be greatly appreciated! You can tweak it, but the only request I have is to keep the words as they are. -Random

Okay, guys. I've already talked to V. Fox, and she said it's ok...if the Moderator(s) have any beefs, just let me know! I'm going to be playing two character, as requested by V. Fox: my first one, and this one. I'll edit everything into it tomorrow. Just letting you know what's up! [EDIT] Well, I'm finished...Alex's perfect rival. I'm listening to some heavy action music, which has inspired this character. = = = = = Name: Adriana Vor, a.k.a. Addy Age: 33 Race: Vampire Gender: Female Weapons: Her dead brother's dagger, and a short sword. Special powers: She can see in the dark, can jump long distances, and has lightning-fast reflexes. Description: If it wasn't for her fangs, no one would ever suspect Adriana as a Vampire. Her long, dirty blond hair, falling to the top of her butt, is in dred-locks. She wears dark-green sunglasses, so not many know that she has deep, dark blue eyes, quite unnatural for a vampire. Her clothing is quite unlike her kind, as well. She donnes a white tank, light gray cut-off cargos, basic sneakers, modeled after the ancient human NIKE brand, and a light jacket of black. Bio/character snippet: Addy was just another Vampire, not really doing anything. She spent her days in a street gang helping to erradicate humans, and anxiously waiting for her brother to return every month or so. Her brother, Sorrio, was a low-cast soldier in the Vampire army. They were both single, and were living together in their late parents' house. One day, shortly after the battle aptly named "The Battle of End," she received news that one general, a new one that happened to be female, had bitten another Vampire. She was shocked, but not nearly as shocked as she was when she was called to the government buildings. Upon arriving, she was ushered into a small room. Sitting in it was the personification of Vampires. He was pale, tall, skinny, and every inch a death-bringer. He told her to sit, and told her the story of the one called Alex. Addy wondered at why she was granted this information, but was then informed that her brother was killed in battle. She was overcome with grief, but he continued, ignoring her sobbs. He informed her that the reason he died is because he was bitten by another Vampire...the general named Alex. Addy, rage in her eyes, stared at the rep, then lept up, storming back to her house. She grabbed her dead brother's dagger, and vowed to avenge her brother by slaying Alex. No matter how long it took, or where the hunt took her.
