  1. Name: Jarrius, known as just Jar Age: 19 Sex: Male Race: Mahrim Alignment: Vagabond Class: A jack of all traids...but a thief, first and formost. Weapon of Choice: Two Thief daggers, one in each hand, like Zidane from FFIX, but is also effective with projectiles, like throwing stars, etc. Personality: Basically, he keeps to himself, and hides his emotions from others with ease...but he's always on the brink of exploding, and beware anyone who's around. Appearance: His body is purrr-fect...for a Mahrim Vagabond, that is. The battle-torn body has seen its share of cuts, bruses, and near-fatal gashes, yet his smokey-gray fur is always neet, but rarely clean. His blue eyes are sensual, yet deadly at the same time, adding to his mysterious appeal. His tail has been severed really close to his body, and the tip of his left ear was burned off. His clothing is simple: ragged, black cargo pants, with pockets filled with nasties, a dark red vest-trench, flowing to the middle of his knees, black gauntlets, and blood red wrappings around his ankles, as his feet are bare. Bio: Jar was born like many Mahrim are: into a life of crime and elusion. When he was 14, the year after his parents had been captured and killed, he had his first run-in with the government. The Revolutionists saved him from certain death, but he was, well, less than gratefull. In fact, you could say that he was downright pi$$ed. He never really accepted help from anyone, and just ignored the ones who did help. From that day forth, he vowed to never rely on anyone, and to oppose anyone that stood in his way. On the other hand, he worked for anyone who would have him, but then he would rip them off, leaving nothing in his wake but an air of dispare. His travel companion was a fellow male Mahrim named Ayli, but Jar murdered him for looking at him the wrong way. That was his life up until now, but something happened that changed his life forever...and it has something to do with the ancient ruins he's been hearing about lately, and the lovely Mahrim staying at the Inn across the street from his... OOC: sorry for the changes, but my friend, Linkk, has joined, and wanted to be "involved" with my character, so...hope that doesn't hurt our plans, Orcus...lol...we can play along with it, maybe having Jar, later on, choose between the characters...anyways, premature, but still... -Random
  2. Ok, first off, this kind of thread is completealy pointless. Mostly because you can't change the way others think, but also because in their own eyes, everyone's right. Most of the people in here have said that they're right, trying to dicredit anyone's views that don't agree with theirs. I'm not saying that everyone has, but most of you...well, you get the idea. Personally, I am a christian...although i don't go to church, don't necessarily pray, etc., etc., I do believe in the Bible totally. Ya, sure, I might sound like a hypocrite, but that one word is the reason most religions are up for great debate. Alot of people don't like religions because of the hypocrites within them, and rightly so. Hypocrites are annoingly common, and they give religion a bad name. The thing that people have to realize is that people are just that...PEOPLE! Everyone's only human, no matter what lable you put on them. Secondly, hypocrites are comprised of alot of types of people. Some use religion as a way with coping with bad situations and/or the state of the world. All find and dandy for them...everyone needs a crutch, right? Totally. Others use religion, and view it as, a popularity contest with family, friends, or whoever. I believe that this is wrong, and it totally taints religion as a whole. Still others are "religious" because that's the way they grew up. But the problem is, it's not the question of -Religion- here, it's the different views of -SPIRITUALITY-! Everyone who is religious, from Christians to Athiests to whatever, are just using the lable the world put on spirituality...called, well, religion. And then, either in harmless debates, such as this, or catastrophic wars, use "religion" as a way, or name, or excuse, to fight among each other just to prove that the one is right, or better, than the other. It's impossible to tell exactly who's religion is correct, but, in my eyes, all are correct as long as they incorporate some aspect of spirituality. Basically what religion is: the word the world uses to bundle all together the acceptance and different views of spirituallity. Phew. Well, feel free to critisize, agree, disagree, analyze, whatever...I'm still listening...
  3. wow...Zidane's somewhat of a hot topic, eh? I'd rather not comment on him, as, well, let's not go there. My top three favorite FF Characters, and why: #1 - Rikku. A theif, and Al-bed, and a spunky, "Love me or Hate me" personality. What's not to love? Also, she's alot, and I mean ALOT, like my younger sister, so it was like my sister was in the game, and that's 'kina cool. She went through alot of transitional periods within the game, and trying to be accepted by all the other guardians...sounds alot like life, so I related to her the most in this game. #2 - Red XIII. Okay, common, people. A wolf/dog/watever-you-wanna-call-it, complete with tatoo's, bangles, feathers, fire for the hair on his tail, AND he talks? Totally the one of the best characters out there, in any game. His awesome storyline , along his abilities during battle and , well, interesting personality, lands this bad puppy (pun intended) in number two. #3 - Amarant. It was hard to pick him over others, but although he's not one of my favorites to play with in FFIX, I just had to mention him. His freakish red hair, done in dread-locks...as in dreadful...is enough for anyone to take notice, and make him a memorable character, and that's just his hair! I loved the way that this character, although shady in the beggining, began to gradually warm towards the others, especially Eiko...and then when Zidane showed him up, then turned around and showed compasion, he became the loveable giant...with flaming red hair. So, that wraps it up! Although it was EXTREAMLY hard to pic just three, I managed. Every FF character deserves credit, but only so much time in one day! oh, F.Y.I., this is my first post, so bear...lol...with me.
