*grins cheesily* Heh, that was my idea. The fire, the seals being found...meh. Anyways, I like the idea of having a sort of "Keeper's Log" or, as you called it, "The Keeper's Report." It's a great way to keep everyone caught up with the story. Kudos, Ayianna and Katana. So, onto my news: I'm currently having computer problems, so don't worry if I can't post for a few days. I'll do my best to keep up, but no guarntees. Wow, spellers block much? LOL ~Ex

June walked through the streets with the other three in her cell. She walked slightly behind them, and stared blankly forward. Bugs...a mission with bugs. I HATE bugs. They're creepy, they look creepy, they feel creepy. They're just plain disgustting. "June, are you ok?" asked Kaname-sensei. "You look like you've seen a ghost." "Um...*gulp*...ya, I'm okay," she replied, not looking at her instructor. "Heh," Junko sneered. "Is the little girl afraid of going into the forest?" "Shut the fu-" started Kazuko, but was, yet again, stopped by Kaname-sensei. "You two must learn to get along, especially now that we have missions," she said, all 5'1" of her bearing down, or up, at the two boys. "Now, June. Are you okay with this mission?" "I guess. I just really, really hate bugs...they're so icky," she finished. June looked at the two boys. Junko was stifling a laugh, and even Kazuko was trying not to smile. "You two think that I can't do it? FINE! Watch me! I'll be the first one there, and the first one out," she yelled at them, turned, and started to march towards the outer gates of the city. I'll show them, good for nothing boys...hmph. "June, wait for the others," called out Kaname-sensei as she tried to catch up to June. "You two, hurry up." The two boys watched June walk away for a while. They glanced at each other, saw the humor on the others' face, then scoweled at each other. "Your cousin's a freak, Akano," Junko said as he ran to catch up to Kaname-sensei and June. "Come back here and say that, Junko! I'll make mincmeat outta your face!" yelled back Kazuko, bringing up the rear of the cell. He caught up with the other three just outside the city, and Kaname-sensei turned to say something, obviously about the mission. OOC: Kina short, but it'll do. Setting up the stage for the forest, and all that. If you want me to change anything, JJ, KKC, Stark, lemme know! Oh, and I kept the same color as our cell for the font, instead of using the b/g! ~.^

Heys everyone. I'm just here to let everyone know that I'm sorry for my lack of posting....I'm having computer problems right now. *sigh* Anyways, I like the idea of having seperate threads...awesome. By the way, Ezekiel, great pic! Maybe someone could do that with all the cells...just a thought. ~Ex EDIT: I just realized...forest = bugs...lol. June's really gonna hate you for that one, Ezekiel! Great...this'll be fun!

Not true...she did hint on it, but, then again....she's my friend in the "real, non-internet" world...as in we work(ed) together...I just posted to keep the thread alive, and to make her feel better...anyways, I can say that the things the people have said have helped her out, and she, and I, are greatful. Thx ~Ex

June watched her cousin and Junko glare at each other, and decided that it was about time she spoke up. "I'm Akano June, and Kazuko's my cousin. We didn't really know each other all that well up until now," she said, a huge grin on her face. She then attempted to hug Kazuko, but he just pushed her away. She wasn't abashed a bit. "Since I was young, I've been experimenting with all sorts of weapons, but my favorite one is the chain-whip Father made me before he passed. Other than that, not all that much to say." Junko grunted, and both Akanos glared. "Something you wanna say about my cousin, Junko?" said Kazuko. "No, other than she's 'kina boring." "What did you say?!" yelled Kazuko, looking as if he was to pounce at any second. "It's okay, Kazuko. I can take care of myself," June said, trying to calm her cousin down. "Heh, taking orders from a little girl, now? You're more pathetic than I thought," Junko said, a sneer on his face. "Junko. Kazuko. June. That's enough," said Kana-sensei, stepping in once again. "Thank you, June, now Kaz-" "Oh, but I'm not finished yet!" complained June, hurt on her face. Junko snickered again, but June just ignored it this time. "I love to sing, my favorite color's white, and I HATE bugs." "Are you finished now?" asked Kana-sensei, humored by the girl's playful attitude. "Ya, I guess. If I remember anything else, I'll just letcha know," June replied, smiling and bouncing in her seat. Then she waited with Knra-sensei and Junko for Kazuko to start.

Thanks, Retri! Anyways, ladies and gentlemen...my sign-ups done. Sorry for the short bio. Not much to tell about her past, other than her father. Also, Kudos to KKC for finding June's pic for me! So, Ezekiel...lemme know what you think, and if I'm "officially" in. I'll wait to post 'till tomorrow, kk? ~Ex
-
Hey everyone...I know I'm not "officially" in the story yet, but I just wanted to let everyone know that my sign-up is pritty much finished...go and check it out if you want. The only thing left to do is to put the Bio in. Ezekiel, I'll finish that tomorrow morning as promised. ~Ex
-
I'm just placing a reserve here...I've already PMd Ezekiel regarding this, and, seeing that she said it's okay, I'll have everything down sometime tomorrow morning. ~Ex Edit: Just the Bio left to do, then I'm done... Edit2: Done! Name: Akano June Age: 12 Gender: Female Appearance: June. Her hair is a pale blond, and her eyes are very light blue. The shirt/dress she has is a light purple, and the patterns on it are silver. Her shoes are black with dark purple laces. The belt she has around her waist is dark leather, previously worn by her father. Attached to her back is a black sheath with silver symbols encrypted along the sides. Rank: Rookie Genin Personality: June is a tomboy, and often acts like a boy would. But in many ways she's a girl: she likes to gossip, likes to have her hair done nice and pritty, and hates bugs. June is a very loyal person, although it's hard for someone to get close to her. She very guarded with her own personal feelings, but once she opens up, she'll follow you to the ends of the earth. She likes to talk to others, while keeping them at a 'safe distance' emotionally speaking. In hard/tough situations, she handles herself well on the outside, but inside she's constantly doubting herself. She likes to analyze situations before she "rushes in," and it sometimes get her into more trouble than if she went on whims. Equipment: Jade has a shruiken holster, holding four shruiken, on her left upper-leg, and a kunai holster, holding three kunai, one handeless kunai and two double-edged kunai, directly above it on her waist. Tied to her belt and resting on her right hip is a small pouch that contains two aid packs, two smokeballs and water. On her back is what looks like a sword sheath with a handle sticking out of the opening. This is her main weapon, a chain-whip, which was forged by her father and given to her after his funeral. It looks like This, although the handle looks like that of a katana. Main Weapon/Technique: June is a weapons "expert," considering her level. She likes to experiment with different types of weapons, and that shows in her techniques and fighting style. June's main technique has to do with her whip. She can manipulate chakra into her chain-whip, extending it's reach and doubling it's durablity and attack power. She can't do this with other weapons. Also, she has experiemented with manipulating chakra into her feet, attempting to give her greater maneuverability, speed, and jumping height/distance. The attempts have been unsucessful, but extreamly amusing to everyone else. Having a natural ability to understand how different weapons are utalized to the fullest potential, June has been known to carry only one of any type of weapon. This makes her a very unique and diverse fighter. Depending on what weapons her foes have, she choses her own and fights accordingly. She is very versitile in her skills, being nearly as good with ranged attacks as she is with hand-to-hand combat. Although she can use just about any weapon, she usually prefers to use her chain-whip, regardless, as it holds special meaning. Not to mention that it also is a great tool in either close or mid-ranged combat. Biography/[strike]Writing Sample[/strike]: June is the youngest of three girls. She was raised by her father, a weapons maker. Her mother had died in childbirth. June and her family lived in a small village, in a small house. They weren't exactly poor, but they weren't rich, either. One would say they had enough to get by. June lived happily with her family, content on helping her older sisters tend the house, cook, and various other odd jobs while her father was at the furnace all day. During her free time, she would make-believe that she was a fully trained Jounin, warding off all maner of evil to protect her village. She used to snipe a weapon from her father's keep every now and then to practice with them. This is how she became so proficiant with weapons. Her life was to change one day. Just over one month before her ninth birthday, her father died of a heart attack. June was devistated, and didn't talk for nearly a month. Finally, one week before her ninth birthday, her oldest sister gave her a gift from their father: a specially made chain-whip along with matching sheath. The day after her nineth birthday, she was taken to Konoha, seeing as she had "potential to be a great Ninja." This was the single best day of her life, and her child-hood reveries were to come true. Armed with her chain-whip and her father's love, she set out to face the world and prove that she can, and will, be somebody. Extra Notes: ~Cousin to Akano Kazuko, although not as close to him as one would think ~Has a secret crush on Miyamoto Keiji (thx, Retri) ~Greatly respects Aogiri Kaname-sensei ~A social butterfly, loves to talk to everyone ~Has no close friends, but is pritty much equally aquainted with everyone ~The girly-girl tomboy ~Loves to sing, whenever and wherever possible. ~Hates bugs...alot ~Favorite color is White ~Wears father's belt as a memory token

White, seeing as Ezekiel has already rated your sig, I guess I'm number two! I do agree with all of Ezekiel's points...nothing changed there. And, as always, I love your work...now, on to my assement! The positioning of Mario is near perfection, and the fact that the hammer is in the center of the banner is different. I, too, like the double boarder. The background, although simple, fits perfectly...Paper mario...lined paper...nice pun. Kudos! The rest of the banner is quite the interesting idea, methinks. Each number being a link...good idea. Not that I'm going to copy it ...*looks accusingly at Exekiel*... And the matching avi, rounds off this perfect set! I'll give you a 9.999999999999999/10...just because I can... ~.^ -Ex

Alright...time to get back at this thing. I'll say one thing before I start, though. Sometimes, when I'm replying to a thread like this where I hold a strong opinion, I tend to get carried away a little and not realize what I'm saying, or not express myself correctly. I'm sorry for this, and any confusion that it has, and will, cause.
An opinion I have about, say, what I should have for dinner is a completely valid one, even if others disagree with me. If I want tacos, and my brother wants pizza, how is my opinion invalid by the conflict? Anything[/b'] is debatable ? does that mean that all opinions are invalid? Of course not.
This I agree with...anything is debatable. And that doesn't mean that all opinions are invalid. I should have worded this differently. When I said, "All opinions are valid until they differ with others, then they become debatable," I didn't mean that once they become debatable, they become invalad. I see how you read it like that, but it's not what I meant. What I meant is simply that all opinions are valid until they differ from others opinions. Then, by becoming debatable, no one opinion is any better or worse than the other...at least in the eyes of the government, according to Freedom of Speech. But, in the eyes of each person with a differing opinion, their opinion is correct, and the other's wrong. That's understandable. Freedom of Speech, to my knowledge and correct me if I'm wrong, is to allow all thoughts, opinions, and choises, for lack of better words, a chance to be spoken, as long as it doesn't infringe on other's thoughts, opinions, choises, or happiness...seems like a bit skewed, if you ask me.
You should stop when you feel yourself encroaching upon another person?s rights ? be it life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness. You stop showing your opinions when it?s at the wrong time, in the wrong place.
This is, in escence, what I was trying to say...thank you, Retri, for wording it better for me. Back to the topic of flag-burning, I, personally, belive it's wrong. Sure, it might be "within a citizen's rites" to burn a flag, but that doesn't necessarily make it right, right? I understand where you're coming from, Retri, because I hold the same feelings as you do - "I feel truly sad when it happens" - but that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm going to respect someone for doing it...wouldn't that be hindering my Freedom of Speech? Just because someone's doing something like burning a flag and it's in their Constitutional rites to do so, doesn't mean that I can't say something against it, because saying, or doing, something against something...or for something, for that matter...is exactly what Freedom of Speech is all about. Sorry if this is a little confusing, Retri, but it seems like you're putting too much emphasis on others' rites under Freedom of Speech, and not enough on your own...what I mean by this is that you allow other people to burn flags, but you aren't allowing yourself to do anything about it, other than "feeling sad" and "respecting" their decision to do you. But, then again, maybe you are following your own rite to do nothing about it...I honestly can't say, but from what I've read, that's the conclusion I've come up with...correct me if I'm wrong. One last note before I leave: I don't live in the U.S.A. I live in Canada. So, the "lack of American pride here on this thread" is a generalization...not everyone on this site is American, Starwind...F.Y.I. (I'm not trying to step on toes. It just gets annoying when people assume that the only people that are going to reply are Americans, or whatever-ans...) -Ex

Well, Amanda, I like the drawing. For not being finished, it's quite good. I don't know who Ayato is, nor have I ever watched RahXephon, but it's really a good drawing, nontheless. The only problem I have with it is that the face seemes a little...off. I'm not sure why, but maybe it has something to do with the positioning. From the outline, it lookes like you tried to have it off-center, but the eyes and hair, as well as the shading, contradict that. Also, facing the picture, the left side is in good proportion...but the right side seemes a little too far to the right. It's out of proportion with the other side, and it makes the picture look a bit lopsided. On the good side, I really like the eyes. Good detail. The hair, although needing a bit of work, is good. And his jacket is working out quite nicely, as is his neck, although his neck is a little bit undefined. That could just be the "unfinished" talking, though. Well, keep it up! Finish this picture, post it, and we'll see how good your talents really are...I'm looking forward to more "subscriptions," if you will...lol ~.^ -Random

Well, for me...I dunno, really. I guess I'll start off by answering what I like listening to, a.k.a what genre(s) I like, and then base why I like it on that. What type of music do I like listening to? Really, I'll listen to anything...except Rap, Heavy Metal, and...*shudders*...Country/Blue Grass/Anything-related-to-country. So, what do I listen to? I listen to the Top 40, remixed stuff of the Top 40, underground Indy-type, and Rave/Trance/Electronica. Alrighty, the "why?" to each: Top 40: I listen to this because it's on the radio, basically. Not any other reason, really. Top 40 - Remixed: I listen to this because, for one, it's catchy. Secondly, I like the beats that the "popular" songs are put to, and it's different from the "plain old" radio-edit version of the song. I think it's more, I dunno, edgy? Underground Indy: I listen to his because alot of it is quirky, random, and all-around fun! YAY! I do like this because, besides having fun beats and dancy rhythms, alot of these bands have great lyrics and underlying messages that most people, just because the band isn't "popular," miss out on. I like having the cutting edge, if you will, on music, and listening to Underground Indy is my way of doing it...besides, the music is great to listen to! Rave, Trance, Electronica, ect: Why, you ask? (or don't ask...humor me, nontheless) Well, my answer is because this genre ROCKS! Notes on why I love this music - one, great to dance to...two, good chill-out music, when the right one's picked...three, good background "noise"...four, annoys the HELL outta my parents...three, wait, no, five, it-just-friggin'-rocks! Hope that answers your questions...heh, this was actually 'kina fun! AND you made me think...Kudos to you! ~_^ -Random

OOC: I'm assuming that the Shai?r?luinra have no set shape, and I'm assuming that we can make them look like just about anything, from Gollum-like creatures to behemoth ogres...I'm just assuming. I'm using things that look like the monsters found in the LotR movies. If you need me to change that, lemme know what you'd like better! ~_^ = = = = = IC: Marrick had felt Jade fly from his shoulder sometime during Reeve's music playing. He wasn't too worried at the time, but with the crunching sounds from all around him and the others, he began to understand why she had flown off. At the sound of the first intruder, just out of the ring of light shed by the fire, he and all of the others had snapped out of their various thoughts. Most had drawn their weapons at the sound of the second intruder, and by the time the other two had made their sounds, all the Keepers had gotten up, drawn weapons, and made ready for battle. Tarren and Ciara had joined the other six Keepers by the fire, and Tarren was reaching for burning branches. "I think we're about to have a busy night," he said just before throwing the wood. "I know we're going to have a busy night," said Alena as she watched the burning wood fly. Four burning pieces of timber landed on the ground. Four sections of forest shone with firy light. Many figures were exposed. Eight voices gasped. Marrick, along with the others, stood in shock at the sight before them. Never before had he ever seen anything like the creatures now exposed. They seemed to cower at the light the burning wood. There was at least a dozen of them, probably more, each in groups of three, four, or five. They varied in size, but each was as grotesk as the next. Each was extreamly pale, and their skin looked to be almost hanging off their bodies. There were what seemed to be boils and warts, cuts and scars all over their bodies, and the clothing they donned, if you could call it clothing, was mearly loin-cloths. Some looked human enough. You could even tell whether a few were male or female. Others, on the other hand, were totally indistinguishable. Some looked like ogers, others like badly mis-shaped humans. Still others looked like children, although with long, lanky arms and legs. The eight keepers, as well as the dozen or so creatures, were snapped out of their shock by a loud cry from Jade, who had decided to dive-bomb one of the smaller groups. Marrick took this as his que to attack the enemy, and rushed to engage the group Jade was madly attacking. "Aahhhhhh!" came Marrick's cry as he ran. Before he reached his foe, he heard a soft whizz nearby, and a second later saw one of the human-like creatures fall with an arrow sticking into her forhead. Must be Reeve, was all he had time to think before he reached the group. The two claws of his gauntlet reached out to slice one of the child-creatures, which fell easily. As he turned to fight the third of the group, he heard the various Keepers' weapons clanking agains the simple and crude weapons of their adversaries, as well as their war cries. The last foe in the group, which Jade was battling heroicly, made Marrick stop for a moment. This thing is huge! He saw another arrow hit it, but it missed it's mark, what with the flayling of the arms to ward off Jade's persistant attacks. Marrick decided to take the opportunity and strike. But the beast had other plans than to be killed. It lashed out with it's massive hands, knocking Marrick to the ground. It then grabbed him, pinning his arms to his body and rendering his weapons useless. "Shit," he muttered. He had enough time to survey the situation before anyone noticed he had been caught. The Keepers had split up, Jade flew to a Keeper, Marrick couldn't tell who, to alert him or her of Marrick's impending doom, and the forrest had caught fire. Quite the predicament we've got here "Hey, guys...a little help here?" = = = = = OOC: Just trying to stir things up a little...remember, the forest is on fire! KEY POINT! Anyways, sorry for any spelling mistakes...*eyes droop from sleepyness*

Interesting, Most Interesting. (Sorry, Gavin...I couldn't resist.) Here's my view on Freedom of Speech. Freedom of Speech, as with everything to do with the Government, is a double standard. Sure, you can say anything you want, as long as it's what everyone else wants to hear, doesn't hurt anyone else, and is what the Government tells you to say. That being said, I agree with Retribution's quote:
Your rites end where your nose begins.
The thing about freedom of speech is that it's a joke. Any opinion you have is totally valid, until it contradicts with other's opinions. Then it becomes "debateable." You can tell anyone your opinions, if they're willing to hear them. You just have to be careful that you trust those people, and that they won't "rat" you out to the person/thing you have a differing view on. That's the hard part about freedom of speech, isn't it? Finding out where enough is enough, and where to stop. I know that's part of your question, but I don't think anyone has the answer because everyone has their differing opinions on the topic at hand. That's where it gets complicated: Where do you stop showing your opinions? As I've said, everyone has their own, and this topic is basied on everyone's opinion on other people's opinions...quite complicated, if you ask me, and it seemes to contradict itself. I'm going to stop right now, seeing as I'm just repeating myself, but that doesn't mean that I'm done talking. Once I have some other points in my head, I'll put them down. And, once others have expressed their opinions here, I'll start debating if the need arises. -Rickky

~Chapter 1, Part 5~ Eva fealt herself being rushed off, and could hear Dawn's muffled protests beside her. She didn't know who had taken them, but she knew that it wasn't the city guards. That, at least, was a little bit of a relief. Eva's sence of direction was muffled because of the piece of cloth wrapped across her eyes. But still, she could tell that Dawn and herself were being taken away from the jail, and away from the Palace. Her footsteps, as well as those around her, started to sound different. They had left the city, and were approaching the river Rune. They crossed a bridge, the babbling of the water filling Eva's ears. Just as suddenly, the sounds of the river faded, and the sounds of the forest enclosed her. Eva felt herself being lifted off the ground, then placed into a basket-like contraption. She could hear Dawns constant protests, and this made her a little more confortable - At least someone is here that I know. She fealt Dawn fall on top of her, and then heard a shrill whistle. After the ringing whistle had stopped, a voice called to her and Dawn. "Stay in the basket, you two, or you'll regret it." After those words, Eva felt herself, Dawn, and the basket shoot upwards. It caused butterflies in her somach, and Dawn swore. "Dawn, are you ok?" was all that Eva could say. "I'll be alright," Dawn said, helping Eva take off the wrapping. "But, that's hardly what Owen'll be able to say when I get through with him." "Owen? Who's Owen?" "Owen is one of Aryk's friends, if you wanna call him that." Dawn had a look of disgust on her face as she continued. "Owen is the leader of the people who inhabit the forest outside the city. He likes to randomly "assist" getting us to his hideout every now and then, and then it's just to hit on me. He's such a pig." Eva was hardly listening to Dawn. She was busy watching the ground fall below her. "Why are we going into the trees?" "Oh, you'll see, Eva. Just hold on tight," Dawn advised. Eva grapped the edge of the basket beside her, and Dawn, sitting next to Eva, did the same. What's in store for us now? she wondered. Something tells me I don't wanna know. The basket carrying the two girls bumped into the pully system that had carried them up into the trees, and it started to sway dangerously. Suddenly, Dawn cried out, "Hold on, girl! Here we go!" Just as suddenly, Eva fealt butterflies where her stomach should be. The basket had somehow hooked itself onto another rope, and it acted like a "zipline," speeding the basket, and the girls within, through the trees. "Holy shit!" yelled Eva. "What's going on, Dawn?" "Don't worry about it," was all that answered her question. Just as suddenly as it had begun, their ride was stopped. Eva let out her held breath, and looked over the side of the basket. They were over a dangerous looking part of a river, and the basked was now lowering itself downwards - right towards the churning white water of the rapids. Eva grabbed Dawn's hand, not ever wanting to let it go, afraid that if she did, she would fall into the waters and be gone from this world, Eva's world, forever. Eva once again looked over the edge of the basket, and saw that they were being lowered to a platform above the river, previously unnoticed because of the faint moonlight. Still holding Dawn's hand, Eva squeezed harder as the basket bumped softly onto the wooden deck. She could hear the water racing below her, and she didn't want to leave the basket. Somewhere between her noticing the platform and them reaching it, Eva had closed her eyes. A voice called to her and Dawn, but Eva didn't hear what the voice had said. Dawn, on the other hand, obviously did. And she didn't seem to like what it had said. "Owen, you jack ass. Why the hell did you take us here, especially during a time like this?" Eva finally opened her eyes, and saw a handome guy of about 18 walking up to the basket. His long, black hair almost shon in the moonlight, and his clothing, in Eva's eyes, left alot to be desired. His eyes, though, caught her attention. They were green, but around his left iris was a blue ring, while around his right was a brown ring. I've never seen such beautiful and intriguing eyes in my entire life. "Don't worry, baby. Aryk can handle himself. I just need to talk to the two of you." "Owen, when Aryk gets here, he's gonna kick your a-" but Dawn's words were interrupted by Owen's hand. "Dawn, sweety, don't sweat it. Aryk'll understand. I was only making sure you and this pritty little thing," Owen said, turning to Eva, "don't get caught by the guards. You do know that you two were almost caught, right? If my men would'a grabbed you two seconds later, it would'a been too late, sweetcakes." "Owen, you're dispicable...I'd rather be in jail than stay here with you." "Don't worry, hon. I've sent a messanger to Aryk already. He'll be here in the morning. In the meantime, come on inside and have some food. Then, you two beauties can have your beauty sleep." = = = = = The night had passed pritty uneventfully, although Eva was alittle unconfortable around Owen. He had made constant passes at her, but she just blushed and turned away. She and Dawn had went to bed after supper with some of the other forest people, although after Owen had tried and failed to have them, either one, to come and sleep with him. Eva sat outside, waiting for Dawn to wake. She watched the sunrise, and was caught unawares when a friendly voice called out to her. "Eva, glad you're safe." Eva turned around, and saw Aryk jogging over to her. "Oh, thank the gods you're here, Aryk." "You've used that line already, princess," Aryk said jokingly. "We should go get Dawn, and talk with Owen. He seemes to have some important news for us." Eva nodded her head, and led Aryk over to where Dawn was sleeping. After a few moments, Dawn awoke, and Eva followed the syblings over to Owen's hut. = = = = = Well, Fox, your turn. End the chapter with a good...ending? Writer's block...meh.

Writing One Man's Taboo is Another's Home [M-L]
Random replied to Drix D'Zanth's topic in Creative Works
Wow, man...powerful message. I dunno what to say, other than I relate to this story, Erik in particular. In fact, I relate to it too much...hell, I went through the exact same thing in highschool, and had a similar "conversation" with one of my friend's black friend. This could've been written by me, as a real-life story...and, to top it all off, my name is Erik...spelt the same way, and everything. So, on that note, well done, my friend. Keep it up. -Rickky -
Marrick sat with most of the group around the fire. Beside him, to his right, was Reeve. He glanced over at her, and, as with everyone else, she sat gazing into the fire. "Some treck, hey?" he asked. Reeve hardly noticed he had said something. She seemed lost in thought. "Oh, sorry, Marrick. Just thinking about...things." "That's okay. Everyone seemes lost in thought right about now," he said, still looking at the fire. "So, when are we all going to find our Seals, you think?" "I'm not sure, to be honest," she replied. "It could be anywhere, anytime, and any one of us could find theirs first." The voice came from Zihark. He didn't even look up from his book when he spoke. "Personally, if this was a book, I think the one dubbed the "leader" would find the first Seal. But, as it turnes out, we don't really have a leader, now, do we?" "Then that means that any one of us could find the first one, right?" came Reeve's statement. "Well, then, if I had to bet on one to get the first, I'd have to pick...me!" Marrick said. These words produced some raised eyebrows from the others. "Well, I am an ex-theif, so one would guess that I would find the first one." "That may be true, but that doesn't mean that any Seal you find, whether it be the first or not, will be yours, now, does it?" came Cade's reply. "To be honest," said Reeve, "we don't know all that much about the Seals, anyways. Who knows if only the person that's supposed to have the particular Seal will find it, and noone else. Or maybe anyone can find any of the Seals, but only the person who the Seal "belongs" to will be able to activate it." She does have a point, but I'm going to find the first Seal. It doesn't matter if I have to find my own Seals, or if I can find any Seal of the others', I just want to find the first one. "Well, then. I propose a challenge," said Marrick. "And that would be..." said Tarren, showing interest in the conversation finally. "The challenge is to find the first Seal. Doesn't matter who's seal it is." "And what would be the reward?" came Reeve's question, humor and intrigue showing on her face. "The honor of finding the first seal, of course!" was Marrick's reply. Thus, the race for the first Seal was on... ***** Well, guys...sorry for the "if this was a book" line, but I couldn't help it! TOO perfect. So, don't count the campfire conversation over...still things to talk about. In regards to who finds the first Seal, I think we should leave that up to Katana and Ayianna. And, as always, any beefs, lemme know and I'll change accordingly.

Linkk...this is a really good song...I was wating for you to post this! The only thing wrong, as the Mods will probably point out, is the fact that there's not rating in the thread name...other than that, it's really good. I like the part, "Hell." -Rickky

The funny thing, Charles, is the fact that images like that contributed to both Brazil's and Mitch's bans...just stating a fact. Anyways, besides that one fact, I'd have to agree with you. Although someone's been on the boards for a long time, and has contributed alot to the boards, it doesn't make them above the rules. I personally didn't know any of the mentioned, but I read their posts in the short time that I've been here. They were, in a sence, "asking" for it...but alot of what they said, once you got past the "flaming," was actually quite intelectual. On that note, it's a shame that they decided to let their bickering go to far, and because of it we've lost a couple of the best debaters I've seen on any site like OB. That's my two cents, not that it really matters...but I think that the basic idea behind this thread has been completed, and, as Lady Katana has said, I think that it's better left alone...this will only promote flaming towards others, and that's obviously what OB's not about. -Rickky

~Sinistra~ Well, I have to say good job! I love this set! Banner - Not much to say about this one, other than it's awesome. I think the way the boarder is only like a shade is really unique. The picture is perfectly placed, and the text doesn't take too much away from the banner as a whole. The banner is a little small, but it fits the theme, I think. 10/10 Avi - Not much to say about this, either. I really like the position of the pic, but the text in the background makes it look a little busy. Again, love the boarder. 9/10 Banner/Avi set - All together, it's really a great set, so the final score is: 9.5/10

"True, support groups shouldn't fight amongst each other, but we're not only here to "support" each other. We need to know each other's weaknesses, and everyone's strengths." As Marrick glanced around the group, some seemed almost shocked. Although it seemed out of character, Marrick stated the obvious. "So, in light of that, Cade? You said you wanted to spar." Looking up, Cade's face changed from depressed and pissed to melevolantly happy. "Is that an open invitation?" "Take it as you will," Marrick replied, attatching his Tiger Fangs to his left hand. They were usually tied to his waist, on the left side, by a rope. When she saw his move towards his weapon, Cade drew her own. Then, suddenly, a loud, high-pitched wistle rang out. Jade shot into the air, and rushed at Cade. She jumped out of the way, yelling, "That's not fair! Call off your friggin' bird, Marrick, or I'll make it into a pincushion!" Marrick just laughed. "She's to fast for you, Cade. If she'll let me, I'll entrust Jade to Reeve for now. That ok?" "Sure," came Reeve's simple reply. "Be careful, Marrick. Cade seemes to be a real spitfire." "Trust me," was all that Marrick said in reply. "So, Cade. Ready for me?" In response, Cade charged at Marrick, her sword point aimed at his neck. Marrick easily sidestepped her attack, spun around, and kicked her in the back. For the second time in a few minutes, she had fallen to the ground. Rage engulfed her face as she slowly picked herself up. She spun slowly, facing Marrick. Then, she smiled. "Now, boy...you ready for me?" Cade reached inside her clothing, fingering something. Marrick started to get worried. In preperation for what she had, he grabbed Soul from his right hip, and held it like a dagger. Cade assumed a fighting position, as did Marrick. Both watched the other's movements, blind to everything else around them. Cade erected her arm towards Marrick in a snapping motion, and a wizzing sounded just beside his right ear. His eyes grew wide, and he turned to look at the tree just a few feet behind him. There, planted deeply into the wood, was a tri-blade. It looked deadly, and he was glad that Cade had hit the tree and not him. "Good thing you missed, because you guys'd be one Keeper short." Marrick laughed uncertainly. Then, facing Cade again, "Alright, Cade. No cheap tricks now. Only our main weapons: your sword, and my gauntlet. Got it?" The only response he got was her war cries.
