The only name I could come up with was Pandora.
What's wrong with that name? :)

I've been thinking for a while, and I still can't come up with anyone that fits me well. The closest I can come up with is Deedlit, only because she can be kind one moment and half-a-second later she can turn around and kill something or someone, but the similarities end there. Eh, I know there are alot of people like that; I'm just having some trouble bringing names here. :stupid:

It's not really a secret, but I talk to myself. Quite alot. But I normally lay off it a bit in public. Whenever I do talk to myself, a few people used to look at me like I was crazy, but everyone talks to themselves every now and then, heh. :p

How much do you pay to look good...

I wear my hair long, but when I do get it trimmed every year or so, I get someone from my family to cut it. Total: $0 I never bother to do my nails....I can't stand the smell of that blasted nail polish. Plus I'm in the habbit of chewing them, so why bother? Total: $0 Makeup. I tried that stuff once. It felt like my face was being smothered. I also learned that it wasn't worth it since it made my face break-out badly. Total: $0 As for clothes, I would spend about $100....if I could....V_V; But I'll just have to settle for a shirt or two every other month or so. Total: $10-$20 So, since the total was about $20, then no, I don't think I'm spending too much. :) -
I always came to OB for a good RPG, the anime, and a few good discussions, but I'm not sure anymore. Heh, I'm an OBer without a purpose now.

Lesse. Biology sucked. Then I went to band; band sucked. Went to English/Lit.; that was all right. Went to lunch; the food was decent (especially the cookie. :tasty: ). Went to Geometry; boring. Went to PE; that was all right if you exclude the running and the dizziness that followed. Went to Economics; that was boring. After school we went to the movies. After the movies we had pizza. So, all in all, it wasn't that bad. It could've been worse.

There are quite alot of fights at our school. There was one day in the first week of school when there were 6 fights in less than half an hour---five outside, and one in the lunchroom. We were on Code Yellow for the next two days, and because all sorts of fights have been occuring throughout the year, our principal has created a new type of homeroom system: Every day, if you do not have a first period, you must go to your homeroom and stay there until second period starts. Normally that's not so bad, but they cancelled Art Club and the other early-morning clubs. That really pissed me off. There are alot of drug busts at our school. Well, not as many as some schools in the district, but there's quite a few. Most of the time people just get suspended for a few days. As for bomb threats, there was one several years ago (I think when I was in the fifth grade) that was made by two or three unnamed students. I'm not quite sure what they were trying to accomplish---maybe they just wanted a few laughs?---but they said they would blow up the schools the next day. I didn't believe the threat, so I went to school anyway, and it was pretty amusing as to how seriously everyone took it; over half of the school was absent. Needless to say, the few wanna-be bombers were discovered and arrested.

Sucks to be you, HF. Under normal circumstances, if I found a blank check, I would just rip it up instead of taking the time to hunt down the owner; that would be too much trouble. At least whoever lost it wouldn't lose some money as well. But if it's someone I despise, and if I'm in a bad mood, I would just leave it for someone else to take. Heh. The person shouldn't have lost it in the first place. I wouldn't cash it because 1.) I'm not that "money-hungry" to begin with, 2.) my parents would have to take it to the bank to cash it, and they would get suspicious if I suddenly "received" a check for $30 or more from someone they don't know, and 3.) I'd probably get caught anyway. So, in the end, it's just a pain in the neck. Anyway, I hope things turn out better for you. Maybe next time you'll be more careful.
I mean, prefferring to send emails rather than calling on a CELL PHONE?
Why not? :p Yeah, some of the things seem a bit odd (playing FF? o0; ), but some are also useful. If you get lost, go to your phone, got bills, go to your phone. And, being a bookworm, it would be VERY convenient to download books without having to buy them. :toothy::D The only downsides I can see about it are: 1.)satelite crashes 2.)people are going to become too dependent 3.)they're small and easy to misplace, and 4.)the price. (For something that spiffy, it's probably going to cost ALOT of money....>>; )

At First Glance: It's beautiful, and I loved the red-yellow glow. To me, it had several symbolic meanings. After Reading the Title: Now that I know what created the glow, I'm kinda thinking along the lines of "ick." I certainly wouldn't think of putting Jesus and urine together in the same picture. x.X; Heck, I don't even clearly see why he put the two together in the same picture yet. As for the image itself, it's beautiful, but the thought of urine in the picture itself kinda changes that a bit.

Lysaii struck out again and again with her sword. The ship was swarming with the corsairs, and it seemed that everyone had his hands full. She swung her blade in a vertical slice motion, slaying an oncoming bandit. So this is what a fight is like, she thought to herself as another pirate fell to her lethal attack. She heard a sharp sound from behind her as a large pirate had leaped out from behind the main mast. Fortunately at the same moment a particularly large wave threw itself again the side of the ship, causing it to tilt sharply which knocked her out of the way and made the pirate loose his balance once he landed. Before he had the chance to regain his feet, she plunged her sword into his chest, killing him before he could even utter a cry. Lysaii turned to face the remaining corsairs, who were now hesitating and eyeing her warily. Instead of charging at them, she sheathed her sword, to the surprise of the pirates who narrowed their eyes in suspicion. She raised her hand, extending all five fingers so that one pointed at each bandit, and whispered soft words under her breath. Bolts of lightning from her fingers struck each bandit in the chest, killing them in a fraction of a second, but surprisingly doing no damage to the water-soaked ship. She lowered her hand, a slight smile of satisfaction on her face, and drew her sword once more as some more pirates advanced.

Lysaii sat at a table near the stairs sipping her wine every now and then, her eyes half closed and calm as if she was absorbed in her own thoughts or somewhat drunk. This was nothing more than a front. In reality, she was completely sober and alert, her golden eyes watching everyone and taking in everything. The room was noisy and stifling, most of its patrons shouting, singing, dancing, or laughing boisterously without a care in the world. She would never be missed, for a while, at least. Setting down her wine glass, she swiftly rose and gracefully made her way through the crowd to the stairs. Once she was at the top, she turned left and took out her room key as she approached one of the last doors. The lock clicked quietly and she opened the door, which also opened quietly on well-greased hinges. She quickly shut it and turned the key in the lock. Then standing back she muttered soft words under her breath, placing an enchantment on the door. It glowed red for a moment, then faded back to its original color. Good, she said to herself in satisfaction. She wouldn't be disturbed. She walked over to the window, the moon's light shining on her face and reflecting in her bright eyes. She knelt down on the ground, then drew a strange shape in the air with her finger, a silver trail of light as bright as the moon's own light following in its path. As she did so, she murmured the words of the spell in a language that no mortal had ever heard before. After a few moments the shape began to shimmer and swirl, then it slowed and eventually came to a halt, resembling the still and undisturbed surface of water. A soft and gentle voice spoke in the same language that Lysaii had spoken while she recited the words. Neshaia: "Lysaii, is all well?" Lysaii: "Yes, Mistress," she said reverently. "I have found the Chosen One, just as you commanded me." Neshaia: "You have met your companions?" Lysaii: "Yes, Mistress." Neshaia: "Does anyone suspect your true identity?" Lysaii: "No, Mistress." Neshaia: "Wonderful. I am very pleased with you, Lysaii. The journey is about to begin, and the roads will be dangerous. Please take care of yourself and your friends." Lysaii: "I will do my best, Mistress," she said as she bowed her head in thanks and respect. The still surface started to swirl again, but this time it faded into nothing. Rising from the floor she removed the spell from the door and opened it, walking down the stairs and to the common room once more, resuming her seat again and sipping her wine. No one knew she had ever left.

I'm going to try something here. If you want me to change it, just PM me. ;) Name: Lysaii Yventhralas Age: 1,089 (appears to be 17 or 18) Race: Angel (that's her true form. Otherwise, she disguises herself as a high elf) Eyes: gold Hair: short gold hair that is layered Armor: In her elven form she wears a wristguard on her right arm, and a black leather shoulderguard over her left shoulder Weapons: an elven sword and two daggers Powers: elemental powers and holy magic Personality: quiet, kind, sometimes secretive, but she's sometimes too formal around people she doesn't know. Biography: Neshaia knew that trouble was about to start on the peaceful island; she could smell chaos in the wind. So, she summoned Lysaii, her most loyal servant. Neshaia told Lysaii of her worries and suspicions, and also of the Chosen One, Aris. She was to aid him in his quest, but there was one thing Neshaia made imperative: she must NOT tell anyone about her true identity. If anyone was to find out who Lysaii really was, especially Firand, then.....well, Neshaia simply told her not to let that happen. Lysaii accepted her quest and set out for Lethraian. She now travels under a disguise, the form of a high elf. And now that she arrived, she is now searching for Aris. Appearance: This is her angel form. In her elven form, she has long redish-gold wavy hair and pale skin. The only thing in which she resembles her true form in is her bright golden eyes. She also wears a midnight-blue tunic-style dress that stops about four inches above her knees, ankle high black leather boots, and a grey cloak with a hood. Kinship to the Chosen One: Assigned protector (although no one knows yet. Think of it as a coincidence or make something up. ;))

Iris: "Rumors of war have spread. Par-Salian has called together a council in the Tower to discuss these rumors." Iris took a sip of wine and set it down again. She stared at the dark-red liquid for a moment, her gaze abstracted. Her eyes narrowed slightly. Iris: "Strange things are happening. When I left the Forest of Wayreth, I found strange footprints in the ground, fresh." Otik came from the kitchen and laid a large tray of spiced potatoes in front of them. She waited until he disappeared again before she spoke, but she had droped her voice barely above a whisper. Iris: "They were clawed and about this long," she spread her hands about fifteen inches, "and this wide." She brought her hands a bit closer together, the space between them being about four or five inches. Guerrand frowned. Miltades nodded grimly. Guerrand: "I've also seen footprints that match that description." Miltades: "So have I. What about you, Guerrand? Have you found anything?"

Several years ago when I first watched Cardcaptors, I loved it. My siblings, who had only seen the commercials, thought I was crazy until they watched it. Then about a year or two later, we watched CCS. Needless to say I abandoned the TV Cardcaptors. CCS is such a cute anime. ^__^ I've only seen a few of the episodes, but it's definately better than Cardcaptors.

Awesome picture, Gavin. The only thing that seems a bit off is his eyes. They look too sad. In the movie it seemed that he had a cunning and crazy glint in his eyes, but it looks good nonetheless. :)

If you could be anyone you wanted to be...
Deedlit replied to RainbowChick's topic in General Discussion
eh, I dunno. I've thought about it alot, but I haven't been able to pinpoint a specific person. Normally I think "I want to be someone who can write as well as Margaret Weis or Tolkien, who can paint like Matthew Stawicki, who can play the drums like so-and-so, who lives a quiet and peaceful life, ect." So I guess for now I can only name several qualities of the person I would like to be. Then again, maybe I would like to be a character from a book....:D -
Originally posted by Ryu_Sakura wrong, first you did not put which oracle they are, like (I'm making this up) Person the Oracle of Moo, and you forgot the last one, (she is not comonly known.)
I put them in corresponding order to how you wanted them listed. In your original question, you asked for the Oracle of Ages, which is Nayru, and then you asked for the Oracle of Seasons, which is Din. What do you mean by the one that is "not commonly known?" Are you referring to the third goddess, Farore? I'm just curious, because she is known. If RS finds my answer suitable, then the next question is the one from earlier.

What would you do if you were president?
Originally posted by Ryu_Sakura To finish that up I would change In god we trust on all the money and stuff to In Her We Trust, ya know that Statue of Libetry?
:therock: You're going to trust a statue? I suppose then if we're under attack by a terrorist you're going to ask it to uproot itself and ward off the enemies? Or what about a cataclysm? I'd sure like to see a statue try to stop that. Eh, I don't know what I would do if I was the president. I'd probably make it mandatory for all senior citizens to retake the driving test every other year or something. I might also raise the legal drinking age to 25, but I doubt people in this world would take it seriously. -
Lysaii had listened quietly as Icarium related the news. Somewhere near the middle of his report, however, she felt anger rise up in her from seeminly nowhere. Some hidden part inside of her wanted to attack now! And why not? They were weak. Why not prevent anything from happening? Apparently another angel had the same question, but Gozarel rebuked him coldly. Suddenly she realized that this was the Old Lysaii talking. The Old Lysaii was who Lysaii was before the War---a derisive, bloodthirsty fiend.....she hated the Old Lysaii. But more than that, what would she be like if the Old Lysaii was to emerge? Angrilly she shook Her thoughts out of her mind. No. She wouldn't let Her get to her and make her act rashly. During her conflict she remained outwardly calm, and no one had the slightest thought of her inner struggle. She became attentive again just as Gozarel had started talking once more. Gozarel: "Then the two of you are charged with the protection of the Polidical wherever he may be. Don't fail us or the Middlings, Icarium and Sariyah." Lysaii: "Gozarel, with your permission, I would also like to assist Icarium and Sariyah with their task." Gozarel seemed thoughtful, but she could tell from his expression what he was thinking. Before he could completely make up his mind, she continued. Lysaii: "I hate feeling so useless just sitting here idly while the Arch Angels are rebuilding the Eye. I can at least do something, can't I?" He remained silent for a few more moments before he did anything. Finally he looked up and gave a small smile. Gozarel: "Alright, Lysaii. You can help them protect the Polidical."
