1.
Miyazaki himself admits that Pixar is better than any other animation studio except his own, Aardman, and Production I.G. Please name one anime series that doesn't end with "Alchemist", "Bebop", "Shell", "Agent", or "Basket" where a single episode can match a good Pixar movie. Seriously.
That's true about Pixar. But still, Pixar, along with Disney and Dreamworks, produce high quality movies. I'd like to see Pixar or Dreamworks put together a series that airs once per week. Then we can start comparing them to anime shows.
 2.
For me I'd have to say I love the beat to Reckless fire [/I'] From S-cry-ed...
I'm not sure why, but "Reckless Fire" always reminds me of "She Bangs" by Ricky Martin! It's like the Japanese version or something. I love the music from Inuyasha. I have the "Best of Inuyasha" CD, and it's truly fantastic! I would also buy any one of the O.S.Ts for Cowboy Bebop. I like Jazz and blues a lot.
 3.
Watch Grave of the Fireflies. It's about World War II from the perspective of a Japanese boy. It's deeply emotional and touching. Whether or not you're a boy or girl, f you don't cry to this anime, you don't have a soul. Yes, I saw it. Yes, I cried. Yes, I'm a guy. No, I don't regret it. -ArV
That movie was ridiculously sad. I didn't cry, but I was a little depressed afterward. It was just too much. I like my anime a little lighter than that. Personally, I don't like it when guys cry period. If they do, it should be for a very good reason, like someone close to them passing away. I don't think a cartoon is a good reason for a guy to cry. I've never cried watching anime and I'm not some hard core, tough chick. I think it's good for a guy to be OK with crying, but not at the drop of a hat. The closest I ever came to crying was while watching FMA's "Night of the Chimera's Cry" and during "The Philosopher's Stone" with Barry the Chopper, but even then, I didn't cry, I was just shocked and sad!
 4.
I think that we all can agree on one thing we love the beautiful artwork i knowI do. another thing i like is the the vast plotlines in animes.almost evry anime ive seen there is a deep storyline and even some have eastereggs[gamer talk for secret messeges or deeper unseenstory plots or messeges.
I agree! I love the artwork and I love the depth of each story. Anime is so different from American animation. The effort and quality that go into one episode of Samurai Champloo seems to completely surpass the entire run of, say Hey Arnold or Rugrats. A single episode of a Japanese anime seems to have the quality of an entire american animated feature film.
 5. I could watch FMA over and over again. I just really love that show. Every episode can make me laugh or cry at a moments notice. And there's so much mystery, I love how the puzzle slowly unravels. Also Kare Kano!
