I would have to say with utter certainty, our two beloved administrators. [/suckup] Really, though, I'd say mein girlfriend. I mean, sometimes she can be quite the sadistic evil little thing, but she keeps my feet firmly on the ground and prevents me from drifting off to never-never land. Ours is quite the dysfunctional romance, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

1 . Dark brown 2. Yeah, I've got caramel streaks in it 3A . Nope, no regrets, no damage. 4. I should probably get my streaks done again... 5. I like it long, but with choppy layers. It's the only way my half-fro hair looks remotely thin. 6. Ummm... I really don't know.

AHA! I can put myself BACK in the game by distracting myself with Red 6's mispelling of "oscillating"! WOO! I'm back in as of... now. and now I'm gonna hit the submit button to this random thread that I forgot the topic to... it's just some random OtakuBoards thread without a title... it might be the picture capture game or something... AH! GAME! I lose again.

Wheee! I love etymology! Well, mine's easy, as it's an actual word in English: Bonnie. Means pretty. Scottish, from French "bon" meaning "good". My middle name's Josephine, the feminine form of Joseph. Easy. Let's see if I can find my last name, Slocum... Heh. This is actually interesting. I learned that my ancestors were Quakers. I found a blog by an devoutly Anglican Slocum. Meanwhile, I'm PaganAngel. Ah, irony. And the etymology of the name... The Sloe tree that grows in Combes (valleys). Huh. Interesting. And I could really not care less.

strangely, I've never heard of The Game before now. But now I have. And now I lose. Boo-hoo.

2006 Family Values Tour featuring KORN and...Dir en Grey?
PaganAngel replied to GTK's topic in Noosphere
Yeah, I heard about this when I was doing research for an English 101 report on J-pop. I think it's great that J-pop is finally making its way to the states--we've already got Utada Hikaru, L'arc~en~Ciel, and The Pillows fighting their way over here, among many others. I can't see the concert, unfortunately, but the concept itself gets me excited. Japanese music will dominate the world! -
Quite Possibly The Most Useless Piece Of Legislation, 2006
PaganAngel replied to Morpheus's topic in General Discussion
I'm not one to be politically incorrect, but this is retarded. Let's jump into our dear government's point of view for a moment: "Oh, so we failed to scapegoat the gays, so what can we ruin now? I know, the Internet!" My school already blocks MySpace. Good schools already block MySpace. Why the government needs to enforce it is beyond me... if you'd ask me, a kid would be eight times as likely to fall victim to a predator in the privacy her own home than at school. I mean, come on...
I've also herd they are trying to ban anime as well.
Just a hoax; don't take that one seriously. -

From the 2006 Scripps National Spelling Bee. I was there. And I hated this kid. I wanted to beat him like a red-headed stepchild... he was such a nerd... but I suppose we all were. But he exceeded expectations. -
Ah, Tical beat me to what I would have said for 10, so let's try...
#9
A wasteland. A now-lost home to the spirit world And spammers alike.

The anime archives, I think... I mean, the post quality there's so spammy, so let's try it.

EDIT: Is it a wonder to anybody that a photobucket search on "emo" gives you 3000 pages? -
Wanna see fanservice? Watch the Gravitation OVA... it had absolutely nothing to do with the storyline, and yet it was only funny if you know the storyline religiously. ("I'll write great lyrics that'll awe even Maki Murakami, declared Shuichi, sparkling for no reason, as usual.") And the whole part with Shuichi's, um, dream...
YUKI IN A THONG!
was fanservice entirely. But hey, I loved it. And everything after about volume 5 of the manga was pretty much book after book of fanservice. But I ain't complaining.

Manga Loveless manga, truly without love? Any fans? Any gripes?
PaganAngel replied to chou kuro's topic in Otaku Central
I'm GLAD they didn't dub it, personally. Loveless is art. English dubs kill art. They couldn't have made it good. Ritsuka would sound too whiny; Yuiko would be way too squeaky; Soubi would just be... not Soubi. Maybe the REAL reason Media Blasters didn't dub it is because they thought the rabid fangirls would come and chop their legs off if they screwed up. Now, if only we could get 4Kids to think that way... The only fault I have with the manga is the battles are pretty hard to follow. But then, manga with battles always lose me, pretty much. I guess that's what makes the anime so convenient. Otherwise, I'd say the series is perfect. The art is just stunning. It's one of my favorite manga, definitely. -
What the Crap! What kinda question is that? But I do have an answer for it, though. I'll take the sex change. I've always wanted to know what it would be like to be a girl. ^_~ Would you rather be gay (lesbian, ladies)? Or... Would be abstinant for the rest of your life?
Well, the first option would be the least drastic, as I've already switched to the dark side of the sexuality force (Me= teh gayness). So let's go with that. Would you rather go blind or go deaf?
eat a ruler. lol would you rather get eaten by an animal or torn apart by a giant blender
Eaten by an animal-- that way my remains don't go to waste. Would you rather be tied to a chair and be forced to listen to a Lindsay Lohan CD for all of eternity, or go on a stage in front of everybody you ever knew and sing Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone"?

Stuff you found funny that no one else understood?
PaganAngel replied to Doublehex's topic in General Discussion
Mine warrants a visual aide! Yaaaaay! So I was browsing OB a few minutes ago, and I saw something rather amusing in the Otaku Lounge: WHO ARE YOU? WHAT DO YOU WANT!? Sounds like something you'd say to a stalker... or a solicitor (but then, what's the difference?). Ah, corny, I know. But I got a kick out of it. -
I don't know... myself, I'm a control freak, and I'd rather be an organizer than someone actually taking part in the RP. I like the job of ensuring a smooth operation. That's why I always call Banker whenever I play Monopoly. I suppose I'd rather be a canon character; it's so much less work, and there's the benefit of other players knowing your character inside and out and eliminates the Mary Sue risk.
Your favorite anime hottie come to real life....(and of course, u can hook up with him) or Your crush (in school) asking you out? personally, i would choose the first one. *sigh* imagine if cloud walked through my front door, sweeped me off my feet, and kiss me.... :luv:
I'd have to say neither, because I'm happily in a relationship. But if I had to pick one, I guess the anime hottie one would work... bring on Ryuichi Sakuma. Would you rather forget every person in the world that mattered to you, or have every one of them forget about you? Edit: They are BOTH permanent.

Where to begin... -Yo momma's so fat she got more chins than the Hong Kong phone book. -Yo momma's so dumb she sits on the TV and watches the couch. -Yo momma's so dumb she brought a spoon to the Super Bowl. And then... What do Michael Jackson and McDonald's have in common? Hmm... not so sure I could get away with putting the answer to this one (Did I mention it's a Michael Jackson joke?). So PM me if you care to know. -
Mine still exists, but I left it, and I miss it: GiveUpAlready.com. That was a great place... it was a thriving community, rich with inside jokes (ad hilarious webcomics), awesome people, and the occasional controversy (e.g. "I will have you IP banned from the internet!" and "ha ha, i luv turky to, wut do j00 liek to eet?"). Gosh, I missed that place... I was never anyone special there, though. Just a casual, stand-in-the-corner-of-the-anime-section member. I had to leave, though, for reasons too complicated to really go into. I was also an admin for a forum for this one anime graphics site... that was my first experience with any sort of moderating on the web, and it was a great experience for me. The site shut down, though; the webmistress went on to pursue greater things.
Largely because noone cares.[/color']
Yeah, I didn't care much either... I already knew my rank was somewhere around "#really really low" anyway. It was just my OCD kicking in. And thanks, Desbreko, for the explanation.
-
Can someone explain to me what's going on with the popularity rankings? When you're on the main MyO page, I (as well as all my friends I've asked) just see "unavailable" under "popularity ranking". What I really want to know is why no one's brought it up yet...
-
Anyone who's been checking the TheO main page lately knows that they're turning the book series Deltora Quest by Emily Rodda into an anime franchise. How awesome is that? I loved the books... for a kids' series, they're surprisingly addictive. I really hope they pull this off well! It just seems like the perfect series to anime-ize. Let's hope they don't screw it up, huh?
-
You a little bit depressed there, Tical? o_O ...Amazing. I spent the last week angsting and whining (check my MyO if you don't believe me) and yet I can't answer this question for the life of me. I guess what I want is pretty abstract. On one hand I want to be with the person I love forever and ever till death do us part, but on the other hand... I just want them to be happy. If I'm a burden to them, it's not worth it to me. So... I guess I really can't answer this question. It's really opening my eyes, this thread, to just how confused (not to mention confusing) I really am.

The other week... my dad and I were heading up to Santa Cruz and I was flipping through radio stations. Unknowingly, I flipped to a kids' Christian station, and a Veggie Tales song started. First line: "If you like to talk to tomatoes, have we got a show for you." My dad and I just looked at each other and started cracking up. Otherwise, a lot of Blink-182's songs are pretty funny (albeit vulgar most often). If you've ever heard Mother's Day from... ah, what album was it? I forget. But it was hilarious. And in The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show (live CD), Mark changed the lyrics in "What's My Age Again?" to "Where is My Asian Friend?" A lot of their stuff is pretty funny. Can't really post any lyrics up here, for obvious reasons... we're in the midst of children, people! XD
